Food glorious food is a simple restaurant aimed at the aged where singles who don't cook can get a meal it's simple food made simple, but sometimes this is just what is needed. The pizza was really good for the kids, however my parmo was poor with lumpy cheese sauce and an overwhelming taste of butter instead of cheese. We stayed for pudding this was ok but nothing to shout about. But I will say again for the clients this is pitched for it's just right.

Felt very uneasy about eating my meal here as it was a visibly dirty environment. The cutlery, which you had to get yourself from a grubby plastic container, was smeared in grease. The table was grubby as were the menus. The lady serving was short with customers and didn't smile once. At one point my friend wished her a Happy New Year to which she didn't respond. Food portions were small and the quality of the food itself was very low. Bread smeared in margarine, even on burger buns which I've never heard of before. Grey meat on the burger, warmed up oven chips etc. Sorry to be harsh but it really wasn't a great experience at all.

Myself and my family visited this cafe yesterday, but unfortunately could not believe the absolutely bad service we received. I have visited the cafe in the past, which I have to say is very mediocre, but passable. Nevertheless, on ordering our food, I asked for a childs meal+drink, which she went off to get the drink, then came back to me, to which I asked for a dinner+cup of tea, then proceeded to give me a ticket number, went to the tea machine, as I still talking & saying I haven't finished yet, came back and then I asked how much some chips were to go with a breakfast, she said"£1.20 for a bowl," to which I replied is that the same price for a few chips on the plate, she added yes, they just come in a bowl, so I then replied "that's okay then". We eventually received the childs meal, my dinner, & bowl of chips, AsI had been in previously a few days ago, & ordered a breakfast then too, which took forever& had to ask where it was,?? I just thought they obviously take a while to do it,but as the chips were getting cold I asked the young girl where the breakfast was, she went off to ask, & the next thing we saw was the blonde woman practically storming down the aisle to us, & literally started shouting at me saying I didn't order the breakfast, even though I had a whole conservation about the chip saga, she then admitted I asked about the chips with the breakfast, hence contridicating herself!!?? My daughter then said it doesn't matter as were pushed for time, & then started with an absolutely disgusting attitude towards me daughter, we were gobsmacked!!! Could not believe what had just happened!!. On my previous visit, the same woman had a terrible dig at an elderly couple whom complained of a cold draught to which they moved tables, myself & my friend was also witness to this, as the things on the ceiling were wafting about, she again very abruptly said we don't have any aircon, your wrong, it must be the draught from the door!!! bearing in mind, no one came through at the time, I thought then, was there any need for her attitude?? I thought she must be having a bad day, but felt sorry for the couple. Hence, to say after enduring this latest fiasco, please be warned Enter at you peril!! This person needs to require some good customer service skills asap, or she,all have no customer's.

I visited this cafe with my disabled mother and my 5 month old son yesterday and would not recommend. Firstly, I asked for the bathroom, it was up 4 and a half flights of stairs. When I got to the bathroom there was no baby change facilities so I ended up having to change him on the floor. I returned to the cafe and informed my mother as she would be unable to use those facilities. In the meantime, my mother ordered a decaf tea and a caramel shortbread for myself. I was impressed they offered decaf as not all cafe's do, I am breastfeeding so cannot consume caffeine. However, the tea was served ready made in a mug. This seemed very strange as how do they know how much milk you would like or how strong the tea should be? My disappointment did not end there, the caramel shortbread was terrible. There was very little actual caramel and the chocolate topping was disgusting, it must have been the cheapest, sweetest chocolate known to man. In fact, I only ate half deciding it was inedible. My mother ordered a latte and a carrot cake. She said she actually enjoyed the latte but the carrot cake was again terrible. She said it was incredibly dry with no moisture at all. To top off this joy of a visit, the girl behind the counter whilst pleasant enough whilst serving, spent our entire visit rather loudly telling her life story to another cafe patron. I would expect far more from a cafe that has such a prominent position on the high street and advertised all home-cooked food.

staff chatting about their kids, strong smell of grease could do with a deep clean in the cafe bit, the breakfast was ok but you can get better in the shambles and for much less. I will go back and try the lunch food

This is a cafe selling standard ‘greasy spoon’ style cafe food. The food is ok - but it’s not the best quality, and I don’t think it’s worth the price you pay compared to other places. The coffee wasn’t great despite being fresh - I asked for it black so it came in a mug filled to the brim with water which meant its was pretty weak. I pointed this out and asked for an extra shot but was told I would need to pay for this. 5 star hygiene rating though which is a good point and service was quick. Not to my tastes but looks like an independent cafe which was full of punters so worth a visit if that’s what you like...

I visited the cafe with my mum and we ordered children's meals. The quality of the food was excellent and the service was impeccable. They even put our meals on normal plates rather than Thomas the Tank Engine ones. Defo going to go back.

In this day and age, it's great to see somewhere charging reasonable prices for good honest café grub. Long live places like this I say. Good breakfast, clean environment, rated 5 star for hygiene by the local authority... what's not to like? Keep up the good work! I will definitely return.

We wanted some lunch after finishing shopping and saw food glorious food, checked and the menus and thought we would give it a go because it served cooked dinners, cake and custard and was very reasonable. It was really good, piping hot, tasty and plenty of it. Would certainly go back with the kids on a shopping trip.

Very disappointing ! The breakfasts were unappetising to look at and tasted worse, soggy toast with cheap margarine , tough bacon and oh the sausage:( ! No texture apart from the large lump of gristle in the middle . The menu was sticky and grubby . Will never return . In fact I felt quite queasy eating the little bit I did eat . Also my son had a bottle of water with him and had to go outside to have a drink as he wasn't allowed to drink it . His toast was inedible . Soft and swimming in margarine . Avoid at all costs ! The toilets are up 2 flights of stairs and a myriad of corridors.

Saw this cafe last time we were in Stockton but had already eaten, well this time we went and can honestly say what a lovely place it was. The place was extremely clean and tidy, excellent choice on menu, value for money was amazing. WE both decided to have the roast beef dinner which was lush and a good supply of meat and vegetables. Every other food type looked delicious too very good portion sizes and very tasty food served by lovely friendly staff xWill definitely be back to try other food on menuxx

On a day trip to Stockton we visited Food Glorios Food at lunchtime. It's not hard to find as it overlooks the fountains next to Costa. It's pretty basic inside the place but was nearly full which I always take as a good sign. We managed to find a table and found what we wanted on the menu. Everything – meals, sandwiches and drinks were cheap so our expectations were not that great. Having ordered what we wanted at the counter we only had a few minutes to wait before the waitress arrived with our order. We only wanted a light lunch and my tuna mayo in a bun was surprisingly large. It was very tasty and also came with a cucumber and tomato filling. My wife’s toasted tea cake was also large and looked very nice indeed (can’t comment on the taste as alas she didn’t give me any!). She did say it was delicious though. With two mugs of tea our lunch bill came to £5.20 pence – what a bargain. Anyone looking for a cheap and cheerful place to eat with good service will not be disappointed. By the way many of the dinners were about £4 which again is very good value for money.

Ordered main meal which took about 30min. To arrive. Then we ordered dessert it was only two dessert by 35 min I asked the girl at the bar why the dessert was taking so long and our table had not been cleared she followed me back to the table and cleared saying sorry she was slow at it as she was only bar staff. 15 min later our dessert still hadn't arrived so I asked to see a manger who took another 10 min returned with a refund for the dessert but it still took another 10 before the dessert was served. In all we were there over 2hours for what should have only been at most an hour. Throughout we never got an apology. Atrocious service.

Went for a quiet pint or several on my own because my wife recently left me for another woman called Mavis. I was served by a lovely young ethnic lady called Tia Joan. It's a smashing pub and all the staff were polite and courteous. Can recommend wholeheartedly

Vibrant modern bar which has a great buzz in a weekend, we love to pop in and enjoy sampling some of the refreshments on a regular basis.
