We had a very similar experience to the rest of the most recent reviews. The service is very slow - it took a long time for even our drinks to arrive. The staff were unattentive and were completely unapologetic about how long we had to wait. When it eventually arrived our food was extremely bland. The interior decor is lovely but we really wouldn’t recommend this cafe. The staff could hardly manage three covers, I can only imagine it must be even worse in high season.

Terrible customer service, nearly an hour for the most awful cheese toasty and a very bland piece of quiche I have ever had! Very rude staff! I complained and the owner told me "well it's our best seller" over and over again. Made us feel very awkward and uncomfortable! This cafe is not fit for purpose! We do not recommend it at all!! Unless you want rude staff, very poor food, to wait nearly an hour for a basic order, even though very quiet cafe! Locals never to return! Concentrate on the flowers rather than the flour!!

Gorgeous little cafe/flower shop! My partner and I visited today and were made to feel extremely welcome. We had a gammon sandwich and a bacon sandwich, both were delicious! The meat was flavoursome and the granary bread was fresh. Yes, it maybe a little pricey but when you receive quality food it’s worth every penny. We will definitely visit again.

A very slow and very expensive cafe for what we had. My husband had cheese on toast ( £6.50 on menu) and wanted 2 rashers of bacon with it. I had a hot baguette £7.50 I asked for no chilli sauce and was offered tomato which I accepted ) , one tea £3 and one latte £3. The total bill was £29.50 !!!!. When we queried the bill we were told it was correct, when I said it seemed expensive I was told cheese was expensive ! So the cheese on toast was one small slice and cheese , no parsley sprig, no salad dressing just one slice of bread and cheese for £6.50 and we inadvertently thought for £6.50 two slices was a portion. Not clear at all and even if you add up for two portions this still made the two small rashers of streaky bacon £3. Two slices of cheese on toast and two rashers of bacon £16 RIPPED OFF

Review of cafe: excellent organic coffee and very warm and welcoming service. Choc and cinnamon cake was bland and below-par. Served hot but it was very, very hot, enough to burn the mouth, and possibly destroyed the cake's flavour. Seating is not very comfortable. Service was quite slow, waited about 10 minutes. Price was much too high (£4) for the cake slice. I would not return.

We stumbled into this place by sheer good luck. Thought it was a florist until we came back for a second look. Delicious, organic, freshly prepared food. What's more they know how to brew loose leaf gunpowder green tea. I don't usually like gunpowder but this was good. To cap it all, blues played on an old turntable. This is how cafes should be.

Visited Flour Flower for a spot of late lunch with the kids; wanting something that wasn’t fish or ‘something and chips’. Granted it was quite a long wait for a couple of hot chocolates, tea and cappuccino but it’s not the end of the world - when they arrived they were excellent and stayed hot right to the end. The food was absolutely delicious and a very welcome change to the regular cafes around the harbour. So full of flavour - even the kids raves about the quiche being ‘so good’ and ‘the best cheese sandwich’. Sometimes the best things do come to those who wait, and it is so chilled in there, it was absolutely fine. Lovely friendly staff too - happy to indulge the children and their fascination with the record player. Wouldn’t hesitate to go again, or recommend to others. A lovely little place.

Nice relaxed atmosphere, with good choice of food. A group of 6 of us had a range of choices to eat, with wine and pretty good standard overall. Personally, I found the jerk chicken little more than a chargrilled chicken bread, with no authentic jerk heat, but with the rice etc, it was a nice meal. Just not what I had hoped. The other 5 were happy with there choices though, the salmon getting particular praise.
