Orders my usual sandwich. Waited over gal hour and it was brought out wrong so had to wait another ten minutes and it was brought out wrong for second time and the bread had been buttered on wrong side so went all over my hands. Which point I had to get it to take away as had no time left to sit and enjoy my break. No discount or apologies where made. Very disappointing

Such a lovely afternoon for my cousins baby shower the staff amazing !! Helpful , knowledgeable couldn’t do enough for you The food was glorious and when it came out on three tier plates I just knew I was gonna love it such detail Everything checked and double checked that people with ally were catered for , so amazing the whole attitude I was taken back . Cake and well the scones were warmed and served with jam and clotted cream and I just melted in your mouth not heavy at all I particularly liked the meringue with cream and fruit, really lovely and a little chocolate with meringue on the top I ordered a Prosecco bottle of and this was great also Couldn’t fault the staff whatsoever they were so attentive, especially Chloe and Harriet I’m really sorry I can’t remember the other lady she was serving the tea but they were also lovely. Thank you very much for such a wonderful afternoon

I’ve been twice. The first time was good. The French onion soup was delicious. The second time, we only went for a coffee but the service was appalling. The waitresses couldn’t even take our order for two drinks correctly, remember to bring us our drinks or coordinate the arrival of the drinks (I’d finished mine before my Mum received hers). This was possibly because the young ladies were more interested in looking at themselves in the mirror and preening their hair. They really couldn’t walk past the mirror without a quick glance at their reflection, then they gathered at the mirror to gossip and look at themselves. God forbid any of their customers should need assistance 🤦‍♀️. They were very entertaining to watch though, which was just as well, as we had such a long wait!

What a fantastic afternoon! A very welcome refuge from the rain. The setting is perfect, right on the high-street. The decor is quaint and very pretty… highly Instagramable lol! The staff are so lovely here and actually bother to take the time to engage in conversation and make you feel very welcome. The food is tasty and beautifully presented. The menu is nicely varied leaving you spoilt for choice. Speaking of spoilt… the cakes here are delicious!!! … for a change I tried something from their festive menu… the lemon and cranberry scones were a delightful twist on a classic! So accommodating and hospitable, I would highly recommend coming here if you fancy a nice bite to eat or even just a coffee and cake. We were served by the lovely Harriet :)

Absolutely disgusting. I came here for a spot of late lunch and what happened next was beyonde okay. I ordered my food and everything was excellent. However. There was 3 young girls, couldnt have been more than 17 who were beyonde rude. They stood by the coffee machine and the front desk really un aware of how loud they was talking. Unfortunately with this i overheard their conversations which im sure most other customers did which was disgusting, all they kept speaking about was sex and doing other things with men. This is absolutely disgusting to speak about in a workplace with customers, will NOT be returning.

Ordered two slices of cake to take away. One was chocolate caramel for my other half, and it was fine. I, however, ordered the gf df carrot cake. The recipe has changed over the years. It's become smaller with less icing. But this was insulting: when I opened it at home, all the icing on the outside and top layer (except for a small dollop on top) was missing, with almost bare sponge visible. There was a slight smear where icing should have been on top and sides. I must admit I have never seen a more miserable, pathetic slice of cake, and for these two slices it cost nearly £10!!

Visited on previous occasions with a positive experience. This time ordered 2 vegetarian breakfasts which both arrived with scrambled egg smelling and tasting strongly of fish. Had obviously been cooked in the same pan as salmon dishes on the menu. Strongly denied by staff for obvious reasons as a real risk to allergy sufferers, but could offer no explanation as to the strong smell of fish. Hash browns undercooked like mashed potato, generally very underwhelming. After many visits will not be returning.

This is a very pretty place, with nice retro crockery and cutlery. The staff were nice and tried to turn the volume of the music down. I had a slice of Victoria sponge, which was large, moist and pleasant. The coffee wasn't quite hot. R ordered scones - which didn't come and didn't come. Upon enquiry, we were told they were being heated, which is unusual. I don't know what was done to them, but they arrived slightly charred and the texture had been destroyed. We had some difficulty communicating with our waitress, whose native tongue appeared to be English, too. I didn't know what to make of it.

Fleur de The is a traditional and attractive English tea room on the high street in Rochester. It doesn't have a large number of tables - a few upstairs and a few in the basement - and can get busy. As it was my daughter's birthday, we decided to go out for tea with bubbles. After extensive research we settled upon this establishment, based upon convenience to where we all live (approx 0), but, far more importantly, previous reviews. We were not disappointed. Upon arrival we were ushered to our table where we were all given a small bottle of Prosecco (part of the deal) and the tea menu explained. We started with various sandwiches (ham, lettuce and mustard, chicken caesar, salmon and cream cheese, tuna mayo, cheddar and caramelised onion) all of which were home made, unlike so many establishments which offer mass-produced sandwiches. These were followed by a choice of homemade warm fruit or plain scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam. To finish we were offered a slice of home made Victoria sponge, a macaroon and a chocolate brownie to die for. To accompany the meal we were offered a choice of one of several teas, some decaffeinated, from the extensive tea menu. The youngest member of our group, at just 4, was provided with virtually the same menu, but with the stronger flavours removed (ham and cheese, plain chicken, no mustard) and instead of the tea was given a large cream-topped milk shake, decorated with chocolate shavings. We all left feeling totally stuffed and promising to come back at another time.

Second visit. Such a lovely place to sit and relax with friends. Went for a luxury afternoon tea. The sandwiches were fresh and a great variety. The scone was amazing with cream and jam. A slice of cake was included in our tea, but we all took it home as we were stuffed.

I've noticed this place a few times because it is so beautifully decorated. In my head I'd decided that if it was a tea place it wouldn't make good good - I couldn't have been more wrong. Their latte was excellent, the service was excellent and I couldn't resist a scone with jam and cream. Delicious. Do yourself a favour - this place is an utter gem.

Phoned thistearoom to book for two people for afternoon tea at £11.95 pp. was asked for my full name, telephone number and then what was my credit card number, expiry date and security number on the back! I pointed out that I don’t like giving out these details to anybody (have been cloned before) but was told it was a must! When I later had to cancel this booking two days later was informed that my details have already passed to Book a Table.com so I am now annoyed that my personal banking details are out there all because I fancied a cream tea - more fool me!

I’ve wanted to come here a while but it is popular and so haven’t been able to get a table before. I now know why it’s so popular! It’s a charming little place that’s been well decorated and thought out (although the London road signs in the loo are a bit weird since we are miles from London). The China is lovely, a good tea selection and great home made cakes. I had gluten free as I fancied the flavours and it was lovely - you couldn’t tell thank god there was no gluten

I was taken here for an afternoon tea recently. The afternoon tea was lovely, but I had my baby with me who needed changing, and there are no baby change facilities. I find this strange as they do have a high chair. I was told I could change my baby on the floor by the toilet doors. I think baby change facilities are a must, as changing your baby on the floor of a public toilet is not acceptable.

Popped in for a mid afternoon snack to this cafe and gift shop. Warm welcome and charming lay out with lovely mismatched China giving it a quaint feel. The spiced chai latte was delicious as was the tropical cake. Savoury snacks were limited but overall it was really nice . Good that you can book for special occasions .

The sandwiches and scones were very nice, however the sweet treats were very disappointing. This was definitely not value for money, we paid £21.95 each (with Prosecco) which I was very disappointed with.

My friend and I came across this lovely tea shop quite unexpectedly. We had trawled the length of the High Street in Rochester and right at the very end this beautiful room provided a wonderful homemade quiche and salad and a pot of tea at a very competitive price for lunch. Their selection of cakes were scrumptious. The room is decorated with delightful signs on the walls, pretty furniture and an assortment of pottery and glassware all in delicate pastel colours. Our tea was served in a pretty floral teapot (enought tea for at least two cups each!) and beautiful teacups. The whole experience was of quality, cleanliness and friendly service! A real gem! It made our day!

When in Rochester this little gem is well worth a visit. One of my greatest weaknesses is the traditional English cream tea and the one had here was really nice. It's recommended to reserve a table as this place is very popular and it's easy to see why.

A convenient stop in the centre of Rochester for drinks and cakes. The place is nicely decorated and there are quite a few tables available across two floors plus a couple of tables outside when the weather is nice.

The place looks nice but just doesn’t offer anything to eat.went ar 1pm on Bank holiday Monday.I asked what they had savoury and the response was ‘not much’.only has three kings sized sausage rolls left and had no salad left .No sandwiches.Had a croissant with cheese and ham which was ok.What your buying here is the surroundings and the atmosphere, certain,y not the food which is overpriced. The king size sausage roll I swear we’re 2.5 inches long. They were homemade and nice but not at over £5.We left and bought cake from the bakers a bit further down the highstreet and they also do masses of savoury items and you can sit down.Biggest waste of money.

Called in here at early afternoon. Had ‘large’ sausage roll which was in terms of width but not in terms of length. Expensive for what it was. Selection of cakes looked good although didn’t choose any.

Popped in today on a walk up Rochester. My husband and I ordered a cream tea. It was DELICIOUS. We recently visited a very expensive venue for afternoon tea and can honestly say, Flure De The served a better scone. It came quickly and was warmed up in the oven which was perfect. The staff here are very friendly and attentive. It also doubles as a quirky trinket shop! Absolutely love the service and the food, it’s defo a place to visit. Would recommend to anyone.

Stopped here for an afternoon cream tea before heading back to London. The tea was delicious and comes with a cut pink china cup. The scone (had the plain one) was warm and eating it withnthe clotted cream was the best combination.

Want somewhere a bit special for afternoon tea then this is the place for you. My cousin was given an experience for Christmas and I kept her company. Lovely place tables on the ground level and more downstairs. We sat on the ground floor overlooking the High Street. Beautiful mis matched china provided a palette for what was to follow. Sandwiches so fresh they melted, then warm scones with jam and clotted cream and to finish, if you still had room slices of cake, together with all the tea or coffee you could drink.

Our son had booked the Luxury Afternoon Tea as a surprise Anniversary present. We were welcomed on our arrival, but were disappointed with the cheap fillings on the sparse sandwiches. We have been to various Cream Teas around Kent and have usually been offered a choice of delicious fillings such as smoked salmon, proper chicken - on one sandwich there was a tiny piece of ham with slithers of carrot. No small cakes after the sandwiches. The toilets were downstairs, but when booking, we were told they were upstairs. As I am disabled, I feel this could be mentioned in the advertisement for the tea rooms. We liked the ambience of the shop and the fact that most of the items were for sale. The staff were quite pleasant. I don’t think we would wish to visit again.

Visited on 16th May as a special treat for my friend who has her birthday coming up on Saturday, she has just had an operation and wanted a piece of cake and a scone. The service was very good, prompt but not intrusive and very friendly. The decor is beautiful: lots of pastel colours, silk flowers and sparkly candeliers. I loved the duck egg blue wallpaper. I had the red velvet cake, which was so nice and my friend had her scone, then her cake and she really enjoyed both. The lattes were just right and not at all bitter so it was a lovely treat. Thank you ladies for your smiles and great service.
