We had the most lovely stay at Flemings Mayfair for our babymoon. Ryan in concierge was so wonderful securing us Arsenal tickets, Nutcracker tickets, and dinner reservations several places - he was a huge help and made everything so easy for us! The hotel bar is also definitely worth a visit during your stay. We were fortunate enough to have been given a room upgrade and were blown away with how much space we had, it felt like a home away from home. We will be back. Thank you to everyone at Flemings who made our stay so exceptional and memorable.

My recent stay at Flemings Hotel Mayfair was nothing short of exceptional. The rooms exuded comfort, blending luxurious furnishings with modern amenities seamlessly. The level of service provided by the attentive and friendly staff surpassed all expectations, making my experience truly memorable. The hotel's flawless infrastructure, from well-maintained facilities to elegant common areas, contributed to the overall sense of refinement. Dining at Flemings was a culinary delight, offering a diverse range of exquisite dishes. However, one of the hotel's standout features is its unbeatable location in the heart of London, providing easy access to iconic landmarks and attractions. I strongly recommend Flemings Hotel Mayfair to anyone considering a stay in London. This was our first time staying at this hotel, and with any luck we'll be back again soon. Upon arrival I was greeted by literally every member of staff present in the lobby, and was made to feel genuinely welcome. The location is so convenient and central, steps away from the Green Park tube station, but off of Piccadilly so you really don't hear any street noise. We had a lot of theater and museums planned for this trip so it was perfectly located for our activities, and still easy enough to go further afield with the tube right there. The 'deluxe double' room was cozy and comfortable. Compact, but ample enough and normal for city/London standards. The mattress was comfortable and absolutely spotless (I didn't used to do bedbug checks, but they've become a necessary evil these days.Needless to say, the Flemings Mayfair passed with flying colors). Variety of pillows from soft to hard. The bath was recently remodeled, and huge, and lovely. Endless hot water, and the best huge, fluffy, absorbent towels i have ever had in a hotel. Robes and very nice bath amenities. Well-stocked Nespresso and tea kettle, minibar and daily bottled water also provided. We didn't have occasion to visit the restaurant, and were so busy we missed our included breakfasts, but will definitely make time for them on our next visit. Again, the standard of service is what put this already very comfortable hotel over the top. The greetings upon every arrival and departure were genuine and truly made us feel like treasured guests versus a transactional relationship, and any requests were so speedily fulfilled. Another nice touch is turndown service, which for most properties seems to have gone away after Covid, so was a very pleasant surprise here. To return from dinner with the room refreshed (not just the turndown, but also bathroom floor heating adjusted, towels swapped, trash taken out, etc.) made an already comfortable visit feel even more gracious. Cannot commend the team enough, literally everyone we had contact with contributed another positive mark for this hotel! The service level was just so, so high; miles higher than hotels where I have easily paid twice the nightly rate. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Some relatives from abroad wanted to try a traditional afternoon tea while in London and also we wanted to celebrate one of my cousins recent qualifications and new job and having wanted to try the tea at Flemings for a while, it was the perfect opportunity to do so. At the time of booking we were given the option of taking tea in the new drawing room which we decided to do, and this was a great choice as the drawing room is bright and airy on the ground floor overlooking the street, with plush seating, hand painted frescos on the wall and a clean and classic yet modern decor - beautiful. Service was incredibly friendly and helpful, we were made to feel like we were really special. Our dietary requirements were met and handled so kindly, as a couple in the party had allergies, and alternatives were brought out for them. The tea was plentiful, beautiful, fresh, delicate and very tasty. The hand crafted cakes were divine, and were full of flavour yet were not too sweet or overpowering, the balance was just perfect. We were not rushed and were able to take tea and enjoy our surroundings at our own leisurely pace. With service charge and one extra coffee in addition to the overall afternoon tea it came to approximately £40 per person which we felt was very good value for the stunning cakes, impeccable service and gorgeous surroundings. I should also mention that we were asked on arrival if we were celebrating anything special, and we explained about the recent qualification and job of my cousin who was with us, and when we were partway through the tea they very kindly brought out a special handmade cake just for her with congratulations on the plate - so amazingly kind, and it really made the afternoon extra special, such a nice touch. I can't fault anything, it was simply stunning. We will be back!

I had a voucher for a meal for 2. However I was let down by the other person but the restaurant still honoured the voucher and let me have 2 single meals (on separate occasions naturally). The waiters couldn't have been more delightful, attentive without being suffocating, good conversation and efficient. The food was wonderful, combinations that I wouldn't have thought would work together but greatly enhanced the dish. However my special favourite was the desserts. Works of art as well as incredibly delicious. My only regret, hence the 4 stars not 5, was the price of the cocktail I had. Although very good it was very pricey even for London, but then again I wasn't forced to buy one.

Went here for a Groupon champagne afternoon tea today. The female staff were very welcoming, polite and chatty. The tea menu arrived and we picked our teas, the champagne arrived and then the tea tray, complete with the 3 layers of afternoon tea. The bread of the sandwiches were, in my opinion, too thick but the fillings were very nice. The scones were OK, but not traditionally crumbly, they had a thick glaze on the tops which made the scones cake like. Then the cakes; the "macaroons" we're very disappointing. They were chewy, far too big for traditional macaroons; the small lemon curd tarts had a VERY hard pastry, I left mine and complained about them to our waitress. Then I tasted the little chocolate layer cakes, all I can say is I left it, the cake layer appeared to be dry and stale. My husband tasted his and told me it was dry and the decoration on top, resembled a bit of paper. It may have been rice paper, but he too, left his.We complained to the waitress who said we could have another scone, or perhaps a cappuccino to compensate for the cakes. But after a few cups of tea and a glass of champagne, we certainly did not feel like anything milky! The female staff went off duty, and we were left with the male staff, who were nowhere near as attentive! We asked for our coats, and then to top it all, a bill came for £5.00. What for? It was service charge which was not included on the Groupon, and was mentioned, I hadn't noticed! Anyway, we paid up and left, never to return. We have been to other afternoon teas using Groupon vouchers, but this is one we would NOT recommend. I think the hotel purports to be a Luxury Establishment but in our opinion they could have made it a better experience. The room, on the lower ground floor, where the teas were being served, was far too hot, apparently nothing could be done about it as people on other tables were complaining about the heat too. The staff did say they would leave a door open, but it made no difference at all!

1. The customer service in the area where afternoon tea is held is in need of change, they have some European women who work there and present themselves well until you hear them speak, they are rather rude in their responses and you can hear them shouting things at each other as well. 2. The sandwiches were okay and the scones, but the desserts let them down, they include 2 cakes (nothing special) and a hard profiterole stuffed with dark chocolate and a small gateux like slice which doesn't even lift off the plate without becoming all mushy. Wouldn't visit this place again. I think Flemings Mayfair should reconsider who they employ and ensure their staff know how to behave in front of customers and treat them all fairly with respect.

After hearing so many positive reviews about the Afternoon Tea at this hotel I was really looking forward to it. I purchased a Groupon voucher 'Champagne Afternoon Tea for Two' and took my mum as a treat. The restaurant seemed quite dark which was probably the mood they wanted to set and there wasn't much choice of where to sit so we ended up on a side table where there wasn't much light. When choosing teas, we both wanted the 'Ceylon back tea' only to be told after the waiter took our order it was sold out (not impressed) and opted for the Yunnan- Darjeeling. Also, to find the milk jug chipped when pouring. We waited for a while wondering when someone would approach us to say they were preparing our afternoon tea or provide menus for us to select which option we wanted. No one approached us and the afternoon tea stand came when it came. Once it was brought to our table we were left to eat but the champagne didn't arrive. I had to ask the waiter to bring this to us and also re fill four tea pot. The sandwiches were ok - nice selection of cakes ( Nothing spectacular). Overall, poor service, disappointing experience. Maybe I'm just comparing but I wouldn't pay the amount of money if I didn't have the voucher and also had to pay service charge. It is a lovely hotel, but the restaurant was disappointing.

Even though we went through groupon I have to say paid a lot for just a location not a nice experience as food was horrible. The staff nice but they need a new chef. The hotel restaurant has a nice atmosphere. While we where there a few people have complained and one couple requested a refund and left as it was a special occasion for them too and the food was cold and just not nice. I have heared hostess say that a think they are getting a new chef next year, but seriously the chef can't cook.My ceaser salad was drowning in dressing!!!! The main was chewy and came with a 3 small potatoes each and a asparagus cuts in half. The dessert was probably the best out of tree even tho it was just below average.Won't be coming back, don't go and save your money.

We bought a Groupon voucher for a 'Three Course Meal with Glass of Wine for Two People' costing £50. However, the voucher failed to specify (or did not know - as Flemings told me that the menu had changed) that the meal open to voucher holders was from a very restricted menu of: Starters: Gazpacho or Classic Cesear Salad; Mains - Cod or Bavette of Beef; Desserts - two Lemon-based Desserts. This was despite the voucher stating that you could pay a £4 surcharge for Rib of Beef or Sea Bass.Fortunately a few poor reviews alerted me to this. I phoned Flemings to query and they were not helpful - they just said that the menu had changed. I pointed out that Rib of Beef and Sea Bass were still available a la carte but they said we would not be able to order this on a voucher deal. I decided that I would rather have a refund than a disappointing meal and so contacted Groupon. I asked them for a refund and suggested that they sort this out with Flemings before more of their customers are disappointed. Groupon quickly responded and said they will refund me but did not mention anything about discussing this matter with the hotel. From some of the reviews, it sounds that Fleming treat customers as 'second class'. They obviously do not recognise that many of us use a voucher to test a business and then, if enjoyable, return many times. I will never visit Flemings! There are many places in London who might appreciate my custom.

This is the second time to this boutique hotel which has a lovely restaurant in the basement. It is tranquil and the décor is complimentary. The food is excellent. I had the bavette of beef with roast shallots, watercress and beef jus and my boyfriend had cod cooked in brown butter with cockles, confit potatoes. Well seasoned and very tasty. I finished with Lemon tartlet with saffron meringue and mint (Wow). The service is attentive but not overbearing. This meal was a voucher deal and the wine served as part of the deal was very nice. We actually bought a bottle and then had a couple of brandies in the bar. This is definitely a place I visit again and certainly recommend to friends.

Chose the restaurant based on a positive experience a year or so ago, however on the Groupon voucher the choice of menu was extremely limited. The starters ok albeit with limited choice, but the mains and dessert only offered a choice of two ie. Beef or Cod. Having chosen the beef it was small, gristly and disappointing. Even the sides ie. veg and potatoes are extra to the cost of the voucher. As for dessert, again only a choice of two, but both containing lemon ?, a tartlet and a slice of cheesecake type thing. Again both small and rather disappointing. In common with all hotels the drinks are expensive, so it is easy to run up a significant bill, which you wouldn't mind if you were getting a good experience, but it is simply not justified on such a limited menu. The only positive was the service, nothing particularly special, but friendly and efficient. Even so reasonable service doesn't rescue such poor value for money (particularly when the service charge has also already been added anyway). I would never go there again using the voucher, and based on the cost, I doubt if I will go there again even on the full menu if quality was the same.

We had afternoon tea at the Fleming Grill, which overall was quite a mediocre experience in truth. first of all, we waited forever for our sandwiches to arrive. The management did however offer us each a glass of champagne to compensate for the wait, which was a lovely gesture and much appreciated by us. the food itself however was largely average, sandwiches - minimal unexciting filling, strawberry jam - so runny it could have been syrup. not impressed.

It took me a number of attempts to even be able to make the reservation as whenever I would call the restaurant would either not answer, or say they werent open to take reservations and to call back another time? Put that to the back of my mind when we got to the restaurant and arrived really looking forward to an amazing night and experience. I wont go into a full story about what happened but will summarise:Waited 10 minutes to be seated, stood standing in the door way whilst serving staff walked past us.Sat at the same time as another couple next to us and ordered at the same time.Menu options (As we were on a groupon voucher meant there was only 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts to choose from) so obviously very limited. My starter Gazpacho arrived within about 15 minutes, we sat and waited for my husbands caeser salad to arrive, I wouldnt start mine until he arrived, staff ignored this and only after about 20 minutes I called someone over and notified them - they said they would chase it up, again nothing. Someone else eventually came over and asked why I hadnt eaten my starter, I explained that I was waiting for my husbands starter. When it eventually came (no less than 30 minutes after mine) the chicken was pink at the bottom so he sent it back untouched (no comment made by waiting staff)Main courses took 40 minutes to arrive, left waiting. Waitress came over and said chef said meals would be out in 20 seconds...10 minutes later we were still waiting. Eventually arrive, beef was chewy, cod was nice enough. Sides @ £5 each were laughable...seasonal veg consisted of 3 sticks of asparagus and french fries were oven chips.Couple sat next to us, who arrived at the same time who had ordered the same options at us at each course were finished their desserts before our mains had arrived.Desserts were okay - nothing special, tart was stale.Asked for bill, twice, waited 15 mins eventually produced with errors (tried to charge us for the full amount but we had obviously paid through Groupon so should have only been charged for the two terrible sides.Eventually, sick of waiting I went over to the front of house and asked to pay, I did something I have never done before and asked for them to remove the discretionary service charge. He did so with no hesitation but didnt ask why. I then explained this was due to the time we waited and the uncooked chicken in the starter, he mumbled an apology and the waitress stood smiling. odd. Asked for our coats twice before they appeared.Absolute let down, will never recommend this restaurant and my fears about Groupon are confirmed...if a restaurant has to rely on sites such as Groupon there is likely to be something wrong! In this case, appalling service coupled with bad food. Place had no atmosphere or ambience or even music playing. Find it hard to believe anyone would pay full price for this given that I resent even having paid at a discounted rate!!!

Visited with my sister on 30/05. We got seated swiftly and handed a tea menu. I went for peppermint and she selected Assam. We were bought our food after a twenty minute wait which was fine, and there was a great selection of cakes and sandwiches. I have gluten free. The macaroons and sandwiches were really good. We were served well and we had tea refills when we asked. Overall a lovely experience and the places was full of fellow ladies indulging in afternoon tea. We got this on a deal and we're happy with the forty pounds we spent. Would recommend.

Traditional English tea, the drink, plus sandwiches, cakes and scones with cream and jam, is a hot treat in London these days. You can do it at low key cafes, or the Ritz or anywhere in-between. In this middle ground, the Fleming is a delightful option. Efficient and friendly service in the cosy "Front Room" creates an ambience way removed from bustling Piccadilly outside. The three tier stand arrives well-laden, but not for long! The choice of teas is generous, the prices reasonable and, should you wish to add to the fun with champagne, the house option is outstanding.Warmly recommended and worth booking in advance. Today they were full, deservedly.

Dined here with a group of friends this evening. Unfortunately despite the restaurant being fairly quiet service throughout the meal was slow with quite a wait between courses. Also the food could be improved. The prix fix menu is very restricted and the beef was not cooked to specification.

I visited with a friend on the Groupon chocoholics afternoon tea offer. We were offered unlimited teas, delicious sandwiches, chocolate and plain scones and a lovely selection of chocolate petit fours. The waitress began by serving us our pink champagne and water. Flawless visit, highly recommended. Tea selection could have been wider however that was the only drawback.

Me and my mum visited this hotel for afternoon tea and this is what we thought;Venue - Great location, close to green park tube station and really easy to find. Gorgeous entrance. The tea room - lovely decorated, very warming afternoon tea style. Beautiful colours and well set our with a choice of tables from square to round,Staff - Extremely welcoming and helpful, Abdul was one of our waiters, he even gave up his own time to talk to me and my mum about our day in London and showed a keen interest in most the customers eating there. He even offered me and my mum a glass of champagne on himself, I insisted he shouldn't but he was adamant he wanted to, I explained I do not drink to him and with that he went off and made me a gorgeous non alcoholic cocktail! All the other staff on duty were extremely helpful and made sure we had everything to our satisfaction! The Food - AMAZING! we were given 4 small sandwiches each with nice fillings. The scones were gorgeous, served with clotted cream and lovely Jam. The selection of pastries perfectly complicated one another from mini tarts to mararoons filled with fresh strawberries and others that I had never herd of before. We also had a minature lemon and orange smoothie which was really refreshing. Perfect amount to eat over the 2 hours allocated to your table. OVERALL - 8/10 Would defiantly visit again :) If I was to change anything, the one thing I would suggest is perhaps some music would be nice :)

I came to this restaurant yesterday evening for my birthday. It was quite last minute as I didn't plan anything but found a great deal online. It said you had to give 48 hours advance to book but they were fine with the last minute notice. I didn't really know what to expect but we were very pleasantly surprised. The decor was lovely and we had a lovely waiter called Ali.I had mushroom risotto to start which was delicious. I had steak for main which I thought would be small but it was huge and I couldn't finish it! It was cooked perfectly. I had ice cream and sorbet for dessert then the sweet waiter bought me a little cake out and sang me happy birthday!I had a really great time and the deal was very good value, I would highly recommend.

A friend booked this as it was on a 2 for 1 offer. Staff were very attentive and we were seated in a quieter corner of the restaurant. Our waiter Ali was very friendly and ensured everything was to our satisfaction throughout the tea and staff were on hand to offer us a top up when needed. The service was still excellent eventhough it was on offer, unlike other establishments in the nearby area. The ambience was warm and welcoming and the decor was very tasteful. The sandwiches were good and the scones although not warm, they were picture perfect and still tasted lovely. The 'wow' factor was definately the petit fours with a good selection of teas avaialble. The only problem we had was the jam and clotted cream was a bit thin, we were never offered any refills of sandwiches or scones and they dimmed the lights near the end of our meal, possibly to prepare for the evening? we did stay for quite a while!I would definately recommend this place, and would be more than happy to return and pay the full price as this has been one of the best experiences I've had for this price range (even when not on offer). As a sweetner, we also received a small box of chocs when we were leaving. Thank you!

Had afternoon tea on bank holiday Monday. It was a very nice restaurant, comfortable, with very good service. The food was excellent, and the staff topped up anything you wanted more of. Excellent value, as we got it half price. Needless to say the restaurant was full all afternoon. We could even relax in the hotel bar area afterwards, before tackling the Victoria line.

Went to Flemings restaurant on a Travelzoo deal. The meal in its self was of a reasonable standard with everything well presented but not particularly exciting. The Canapés and deserts were probably the best courses on what was quite a limited menu. At half of the normal price this was an ok meal , however if we had paid the full price we would have been less than happy. It is sad that the quality of the food does not match the standard of the service and the restaurant decor as these were excellent.

We visited The Flemings Grill back in February. We chose to eat at the Flemings as a real treat. It was a special occasion as we stayed at the Flemings Hotel two years ago. In the end we were thoroughly disappointed. The food was pretty good and our waiter was good in parts but I just thought I would list what we experienced:· We were the only couple eating at the restaurant and the staff seemed to see this as an opportunity to get off early. So at 7:30pm they started laying the tables for breakfast to the extent that they were rearranging tables two down from us.· There were replacing all the cutlery from the kitchen to the draws which created lots of noise and horrible clanging.· Then the waiter and the female who was there started arguing about table space which led to the waiter even shouting across the room ‘intelligent people make space’· The kitchen staff were incredibly loud and must have been washing things as there was a constant banging of metal. We even asked for the door to be shut in hope that it got a bit quieter. Our waiter did not understand so shut the entrance door. Which the female waiter complained loudly about and then opened the door again.· This particular waiter was walking around the restaurant talking to herself· All the staff were walking around and talking between themselves about a good bye and good luck card and reading the messages out loud. This poor service was not expected when we decided to pay a premium and eat at a 5* hotel’s restaurant. I have sent this email to the Flemings twice now and I have had no response so I am posting it here so no one else falls into the '5 star' trap.

We took advantage of a recent Groupon offer. Other restaurants have been fairly snotty once a Groupon is mentioned- exactly the opposite at Flemings where we were welcomed into the restaurant and started with champagne. We were also offered more cakes/ scones and sandwiches. Brilliant value especially if you have a Groupon - we paid £40 for two people including champagne.

Like other reviews we visited after receiving a voucher for an afternoon tea experience.Lovely hotel, very formal and fancy setting. The tea included selection of teas (I would recommend the Verbena!) and champagne, selection of delicious sandwiches, scones, and petit fours. Staff were very attentive and offered extra champagne, sandwiches and cakes - they even offered to box any leftovers for us.Our only complaint would be that there was a lot of confusion about our booking, queries over voucher codes, requests to see the booking email (All of which had been previously supplied and we were told that we didn't need to bring any paperwork). All in all a lovely afternoon tea.

Greeted well, simple and current menu. Everything operated with German efficiency. Beautiful decor. There was an issue with the music, so the backdrop was plates being smashed and the phone ringing. We were the only guests for an hour until 1400 when other diners finally joined us. Ambience aside, a grand entrance and location for most occasions. Afternoon tea is very popular I was told so I will return to sample that; perhaps too quiet for another business lunch.

Having been to Flemings on several occasions in the past, the choice was easy for a group weekday dinner. Location wise, it is perfectly central and décor/setting is grand. The set menu option was very limited. Portions were small, especially the steak main. Service was sporadic, it could have been a tad more diligent. We would go back, though probably not as a group and not in the near future.

We had a voucher for an Afternoon Tea and our experience was very good. The staff were excellent, speedy, and friendly. We were served by Mo who was particularly great. He ensured we were served quickly, that our drinks were kept refreshed and allowed us to have seconds of the gorgeous scones. The food was also very good. The scones were the stars of the show. The cakes were small but very tasty. The sandwiches were average - the bread could have been fresher and the fillings more interesting. We were very full by the time we finished! The only slightly disappointing aspect was the ambience of the room. The tea lounge is in the basement so there isn't any natural light and the music was poor. A live pianist or harpist would have enhanced the experience considerably.Overall though this was a good experience and I'd definitely recommend it.Thanks Mo - you were fabulous!

I've just returned from a late afternoon into evening dinner at Flemings Mayfair. What a fabulous place and as you read on I think you'll be impressed by the low price we paid.I arrived early so started on cocktails with Master Mixologist, Berlin creating me a bespoke cocktail which was divine then Pina Colada's, then more of my bespoke ones made by trainee Alex who did a great job.The lovely 3 tiered tray of snacks were very moreish. This is Mayfair so the cocktails were £14 each however the ambience, the stunning setting and the friendly and attentive staff were all worth it. The meal was superb especially as we enjoyed 2 courses with wine for just . . wait for it . . . £19 each!! see, it's not beyond even the tightest of budgets, if you get a deal and you get to experience a beautiful, traditional hotel in Mayfair for an evening. Their floral arrangements in the hallways are simply stunning, they're like works of art. We both had the trout (smoked on site) followed by steak with fresh veggies instead of the triple cooked chips and we were far to full for desert.I would recommend this venue for fine dining, amazing service, gorgeous cocktails and a wonderful experience in a classy Mayfair environment. Even the ladies restrooms were clean, had plenty of hand wash and hand cream, full length mirrors, basically all you could possibly need. There's also a lift to the dining and bar floor (basement) so those who need easy access won't have a problem. The stylish decor makes up for having no windows for those who require natural daylight, or who, like me, simply love watching the world go by. 1st class experience in a 1st class hotel

We purchased 3 afternoon teas from Groupon to have at flemings hotel, I feel I must let you know that it was the worst food I have ever had and a tea is very easy to put on.I feel because we had vouchers [although they were £18 per head] for the tea we had less than other tables when we look around and they seemed to have a variety. The food consisted of 6 soldier sandwiches which were on dry bread, the scones for the cream tea were more like rock cakes and we were tempted to play football with these as they were so hard, the petit fours were like nothing I have ever seen only 2 of theses were edible and nearly broke a tooth on the biscoti biscuit. I feel they need more training on there presentation and skills of customer participation. We felt like they were just putting up with up.As this was a mothers day gift from my 2 daughters I was quite upset for them as I had wanted to have afternoon tea for a while just so sad we picked the wrong place.

We went for afternoon tea having purchased a voucher on Group On. We paid £22 each for the Chocoholic Afternoon Tea with Champagne. I'm glad we didn't pay the full price of £45 as it wouldn't have been worth it.Overall, I came away disappointed. However, I'll start with the good points. We really liked the decor, which was a fancy Art Deco style. The service was reasonable, the staff were friendly and polite. The pink champagne was delicious. The chocolate scones were served warm and very tasty, definitely the nicest part of the tea. Here's the disappointing parts. Firstly, the sandwich bread was very dry. The sandwiches had clearly been made too early and had been left to dry out. Given that tables have to be booked and they should know exactly how many people they have arriving and for when, there is no excuse for not having fresh sandwiches. The cakes were also very disappointing. I have eaten many afternoon teas and you generally expect the top layer of the cake stand to be fancy, indulgent and varied. The website shows big chocolatey slices with cream and fresh raspberries, chocolate cupcakes and chocolate macaroons. While I appreciate that they will vary the choice of cake, we were served five small chocolate squares that were primarily variations on chocolate brownies or plain chocolate cake. No cream, no icing, no variety. They weren't even particularly tasty or gooey brownies. Just dry and dull and boring. Very disappointing. The chocoholic tea was limited to only two options of tea (chocolate or caramel). We were also charged £5 for a bottle of water, which was a bit excessive.Overall, there were nice aspects but I'm glad I didn't pay full price and I certainly wouldn't go back. I've had far nicer afternoon teas elsewhere.

My colleagues and I don't often get to lunch together so we were very much looking forward to dining at Flemings. The special value menu looked great. I started with the beetroot and goats cheese dish which was delicious. However the main event, which I was really looking forward to (Steak) was disappointingly luke-warm on arrival and my colleague’s had to be sent back as it was well done as opposed to medium. However when hers did arrive she enjoyed it very much (though I think she was given a better cut of meat). I had to ask for my empty wine glass to be topped up as our bottle was sitting on another serving table (and in fact I heard a gentleman on another table asking for his water, same situation).

This was a Christmas present and I am embarrassed to say anything to the giver. The room was dark ,with only 3 tables. The tea was brought to us altogether, sandwiches scones and pastries and a pot of tea. No further service was given to us.The scones and pastries were stale. The staff were more involved setting up side rooms, in fact I think we were an inconvenience. The noise from the constant opening and closing of a sliding door just behind me was enough to make ones fillings fall out. It was being sorted as we left. On the positive side the Doorman was very helpful both on arriving and leaving. Will not be returning

I've eaten here at least 3times before today and the service has steadily declined. The service was below par for me. We were not offered to be relieved of our coats like every other guest that came in after us. The sandwiches were dried out, throughout the entire afternoon there was drilling and banging going on from maintenance. We were scarcely finished before our plates were snatched away from us. It felt as though we were rushed. The staffed hovered over us continuously just waiting till we finished with a plate. Eventually they came and took our tier and plonked the plate with the creams and conserve on the table forcing it to crowd the table which already contained 2 teapots, water glasses and our champagne flutes. This was very uncomfortable especially with all the stretching going on over our plates. I don't think I'll be going back any time soon.

High up on the wall of this restaurant, is a plaque dedicated to the Unity of the Brethren or the Moravians. They established their chapel on this spot back in 1750's and worshiped there until it was destroyed by a bomb in World War II. The church then relocated to their "God's Acre" or graveyard off the King's Road in Chelsea. Perhaps part the Moravian legacy of this place is that it remains the seat of justice for the UK with many legal chambers and offices nearby.

Raclette was tasteless, likewise, the bourguignon was watery and bland and amazingly had no noticeable shallots, carrot or mushrooms, but it had potatoes instead!? No butter anywhere to be seen. The salad is just lettuce. Wine was reasonable. I would concur that the service is decidedly French, but French service, at least in Paris is pretty good these days. Nice atmosphere for a bottle of wine, but wouldn't bother with the mains.
