Fleet Street Kitchen in Birmingham

What an excellent establishment... found this restaurant by Open Table and was not disappointed.

We ate here on a Friday night. It wasn’t as busy as we thought it would be. But with about 9 tables in there all eating it gave the place a lovely atmosphere.

Waited at the bar for 10mins before a gentleman came and served me this happen on 2 occasions, was told we could not order drinks at table had to go to the bar ourselves which was very disappointing knowing the wait at the bar was 10mins.

Really great place made very welcome food was superb servive great atmosphere was great will defo visit again

Fuimos para el cumpleaños de mi esposa y pasamos una noche encantadora. Todo fue perfecto. No puedo quejarme de nada. Nuestras comidas salió en un buen tiempo, la calidad de la comida era de muy alto nivel y sin duda recomendaría este restaurante a nadie. Que no te de hambre. Gran ambiente, usted puede descansar y relajarse, nunca una vez parecía que teníamos que luchar. Sin duda volveremos!

Visited here for a function in the basement and decided to try for a table.

5 of us went on January 21st for my son’s birthday, can I say the staff was first class , took drink order and gave you time to order , didn’t keep rushing us like some restaurant do , was very helpful with the food choices, had a fantastic meal , drinks , and cocktails ,well done to all your team from the chefs to the front of house

Such a strange place, and such a shame. Great decor and atmosphere. The food was actually excellent, and the staff...

Perfect from the first mouthful to the last... beautifully moist focaccia with a lovely touch of chilli, cracking calamari and prawns for starters and the perfectly grilled fillet and ribeye steaks for mains with a delicious couple of sides (roasted veg & tomato salad)... all washed down with a punchy little Malbec... will be back!

A lovely restaurant and a nice evening. Staff were friendly and efficient, food was amazing (partner said it was one of the best steaks he’d had in a long time - 10oz fillet, my hake from the specials menu i could of ate twice, and don’t get me started on my dessert!!) came quickly, cocktails were good, and we didn’t feel like were sitting close on top of anyone. Went home happy and full and have already recommended family to come here!

After attending a conference we went to FSK, unsure what to expect.

I went with my girlfriend for an early valentines meal, our usual restaurant was booked so this was my panic reservation.

We were staying at the Ibis around the corner and visited FSK for dinner, it wasn’t too busy and we weren’t to hopeful but were pleasantly surprised. Our waiting staff were excellent and very efficient. I had the fillet steak with peppercorn sauce, be warned it does have a bite! My colleague had the sea bass. Both meals were excellent and perfectly cooked, the bass was the whole fish not just fillets, wines too are decent quality. An excellent meal, highly recommended and we would definitely return.

Outstanding service!! Greeted with professional staff shown to our tables wich was coveted in birthday confetti, it was also 50% the entire menu in Jan, so of course I indulged!! The food..perfect, not one fault, all food was cooked perfectly, waiter gave excellent advice in which sauces went best (attention to detail was great!) Really happy with choosing FSK for my bday meal. Even better with the discount! ;) will 100% be coming back

Visited FSK by chance and enjoyed the excellent service and great food! We both ordered steak which was delicious and reasonably priced with the accompanying option of sides. My husband opted for a dessert from the special menu which was equally yummy whilst I tried the wild strawberry martini big thumbs up from us and we will definitely return!

We went here on a groupon but you still received all the service and excellent food you would expect as good as Marco Pierre starters lovely and steak that melted in mouth with 2 sides will be going back and would recommend to all

9/1/2018 Groupon Voucher great place great service and food was fab friend treated me to prosecco starter and Main friend had lamb Kebabs I had Caribbean shrimp cocktail/friend had 10oz fillet steak with peppercorn sauce twice cooked chips and buttered broccoli which came with flat mushroom and tomato I had 10oz fillet steak with same sauce and mushroom and tomato but with buttered broccoli and sugar snap peas steaks were done to perfection as was the vegetables etc loved the setting and would come back again

This was our first visit to Fleet Street Kitchen. FSK is is rebranded name.

Came here the evening before new years eve, I had a voucher and had tried to call to book and check it was OK to use it on this day and I hadn't been able to get through to anyone despite trying on different days. So we booked online and thought we'd try our luck, and as it happened they were very accommodating and explained that even though the voucher was supposed to be for weekdays, they were happy to give us a table that night seeing as we'd turned up, and welcomed us in.

Mi novio y yo visitamos aquí por primera vez para su cumpleaños 30! No nos decepcionó. El lugar era impresionante, limpio y muy acogedor. La comida era increíble. Mi carne fue perfecta. Comida de 3 platos y algunos cócteles para comenzar el viernes y fin de cumpleaños perfecto. Sin duda lo recomiendo y volvería

Reservamos una mesa en un cupón groupon, nos reservaron una mesa la misma noche. Utilizamos vales mucho y en general la sensación de que, su trato al cliente, como un bono.

First time visit, really nice place for decent food. Friendly service ,nice surroundings and good value, all dishes were fine, large portions ,what more do you want ! ? even taking into account it was a bitter cold evening, a much enjoyed meal .

This meal was one of the nicest I have had, I have eaten around the world.From starter to sweet I couldn't fault, thoroughly enjoyed the night, excellent food, friendly staff and a lovely environment. Will certainly return soon, thank you .

Visited here for my partners birthday meal on friday, booked a table for 9pm, got seated at our table straight away. Service could be better, waited a while for our drinks order to be taken and even longer for them to come and they are pricey. I required gluten free, the starters I had a wide range of choice and went with the lamb Kabeb (highly recommended) however with the main course I had no choice as only one meal was gluten free! I asked if they could cater on 2 other dishes and I got told no, seemed very unwilling to even help! However the meal I had was nice! My partner had steak, he said he enjoyed it but wasn’t the best he’d had. Wouldn’t return again but glad we visited.

Absolutely beautiful food. I'm a fussy b'stard and our waiter Claver was very polite and accommodating to all our specifications. The lamb was tender and flavoursome, the roast chicken was on point. The deserts second to non even with my unusual requests. I will definitely be a regular patron.

We visited here for our "date" night after a recommendation off a friend. On arrival the restaurant is lovely, brightly lit and clean. We were seated straight away, but our table was right in the middle of the floor plan and we had parties of over 6 people in front of us and behind us.As you can imagine things got quite noisy, Not really what you want on an intimate date night.This restaurant would be good for groups, work night's out, birthdays' etc as there is a good vibrant feel to the place, especially so close to the centre of Birmingham.On the food front, we had starters of prawns and soup, both of which were lovely. followed by lamb for myself and steak for my husband, both again were delicious and well presented. As for being called a prosecco bar I assumed there would be a varied choice, but if memory serves me correct there were only 3.All in all a nice night out, but we wouldn't return for a couples night out, there are smaller quieter restaurants in Birmingham for us.

My wife and I visited on a quiet Friday evening.was very quiet to begin with but soon got busier.Food was excellent the chilli and garlic prawns were the best I've had fresh and so tasty. We both had fillet steaks which were cooked to perfection. Service was excellent from the young waitress who kept the beers and excellent cocktails flowing. Eat out a lot in Birmingham and this is fast becoming a favourite. Ps f you haven't got room for desert the Eton mess cocktail is lovely.

On a recent work trip, my colleague and I walked in to this restaurant on a weeknight. We both had good steaks. And the waiter was friendly. The wine list featured several wines by the carafe / half bottle, which suited us. The floor is carpeted, so you can hear each other speak. It was clearly a popular place for locals to go on a date night. We were very happy to have stumbled on this steakhouse.

My husband & I went for fantastic meal at this restaurant before a night out at the symphony hall Birmingham. A great location just outside the main stripWe had a groupon offer for a 2 course meal with a glass of prosecco. first it was lovely set up the open grill with the chef cooking for all to see. The staff were very polite attentive & with good knowledge of the menu. We were welcomed with our glass of chilled prosecco & told about the menu choices available for our offer. The menu was good a variety of food to sit alongside the steak options. We had chilli & garlic king prawns & lamb kebabs to start. Both good size starter very tasty. We followed this with 2x10oz fillet steak. The meat was cooked perfectly as ordered was such a tender cut served beautifully. We had a bottle of house red to accompany the meal a reasonable price for a nice bottle of wine. We ate so well with the first 2 courses we didn't have dessert but there was a good selection available. I appreciate we had an offer which made the meal extremely affordable but it's fair to say the quality of the food was so good I would be happy to pay full price. We intend to return again. Highly recommended

Have to say eaten in a few places in Birmingham on business and this so far is the best! Food great - specials amazing - definitely recommend

Visited early on Saturday evening and while the rest of the city was buzzing it was very quiet in FSK and lacked a bit of atmosphere. But the food was excellent. The starters were all very tasty but the steaks were the star. They were all cooked exactly as requested, very tender and succulent. Service was good. Prices were reasonable.

My partner and I visited this restaurant last night, and it's safe to say the food is absolutely to die for. We had the 10oz fillet, medium, with double cooked chips and broccoli. The broccoli was moist and buttery, the chips, crisp and fluffy, and the steak itself was the best steak I have ever eaten. The portion size was excellent! For pudding, I had the salted caramel cheesecake and my partner had the brownie. My cheesecake was delicious albeit a little too salty, but the white choc and strawberry ice cream was heavenly. My partner's brownie was moist and rich. Delicious desserts.Now, there is no question, as mentioned, that the food is unreal. There are, however, some serious improvements in other areas required. We were seated awkwardly by the Front of House. Despite having a reservation, she didnt know where to seat us. After some guidance from who I assume is the owner/manager, she let us choose our table. Our orders were taken fairly quickly and the entrees took around 30 minutes to come out, which didn't feel like a long wait at all. I must point out that there were no table checks made, despite it being a quiet Tuesday evening with several members of staff on, and we weren't offered any drinks during our meal. I must admit, the girl tending the bar and waitressing was rather rude and abrupt and we weren't at all given a warm welcome. Whilst this issue does need addressing, we are likely to return. The food really is that good. 10/10 for the food. 10/10 for decor. 4/10 for the staff.

We dined here at the weekend. Very quiet, literally only 3 other diners. I had originally booked this to use our Groupon voucher, however, was informed by the general manager, Avalor I think, that I could not use it on a Saturday. This was not indicated on the T and C and neither by them when I booked it with them. My issue wasn't so much not being able to use the voucher, it was more the manner in which the manager spoke to us - rude and very poor customer service. Regardless of this, my partner and I decided to dine there as we were already there and he did not want our night to be spoilt. Our drinks order was taken and my Bellini was possibly one of the worst cocktails I had ever had. It wasn't a Bellini, tasteless and gunky fruit juice at the bottom of the glass which had not been mixed. I sent it back, which was disappointing seeing as this was meant to also be a Prosecco bar. When we were ordering our meals I queried the waitress as to how the sweet potato (one if the side dishes) was cooked. She didn't know and went to ask the head waiter/restaurant manager. He came over to explain what it was. I would have thought that staff would have been briefed of their standard menu.When our food arrived the steaks were cooked well, however, every other element was poor. The side dishes were cold and lacked any flavour. The overriding let down factor of this restaurant is the poor customer service. Not once did anyone come over to ask how the food was or ask if we wanted any more drinks. In fact when my partner asked a waitress for a second drink ( a gin and ginger ale which was a repeat of his first order ) he was brought gin and tonic, an easy mistake, however the waitress didn't understand what the issue was when he tried to explain to her. A definite communication breakdown as her level of understanding English didn't help. We waited over 15 minutes to finally get our bill, this was after deciding not to order dessert because no one had bothered to come and get an order for this 20 mins after giving the dessert menu. Again, one could forgive this if the restaurant was busy, which it wasn't. The Bellini hadn't been taken off the bill which we had to query again. By this point we just wanted to leave as soon as possible to try and save our night. As we left, we passed the general manger who rather than display good custom of thanking us for coming or asking if we enjoyed our meals, just said bye to my partner. Rude and poor customer service! We value good customer service over good food, which in this case this establishment failed on both accounts. Avoid!

Went here for dinner and was amazing, the steak was cooked really well, just how I liked and the sides were a good portion size. Also had a starter which was a really good sized portion which makes up for them being a little more pricey. The staff were really helpful and would definitely visit again!

Was greeted by a lovely friendly gentleman. Had drinks at the bar waiting for the rest of the party to arrive, very reasonably priced bar! Bar staff lovely! We purchased a Groupon deal and it didn't disappoint. Starters and mains were so so nice, everything was amazing and exceeded expectations. The manager (?) Was so attentive and appropriately humorous.This was our first time here and deffinatley won't be the last. I will visit the cocktail bar too next time downstairs.(Keep the Groupon incentives going!)

We enjoyed a perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious Rib Eye Steak. We requested Medium and Medium Rare and both arrived cooked to perfection.I had a cocktail which was beautifully mixed and presented.Unfortunately did not have time for dessert but would have loved to have tried one as they sounded very interesting.As we were due at the theatre we asked to be hurried through and they certainly did that for us. I look forward to returning again for a more leisurely meal another time. I would recommend this restaurant.

Thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere with staff who were responsive. The steak was super and the wine by the glass was very good. We will go again. Also. The music was not to loud. It is hard to get places in City Centre where you can sit and talk without being blasted by loud music.

We recently visited here on a Wednesday night for a birthday meal. The restaurant had maybe 4 tables of diners so was very quiet.It started off badly with the waitress being very blunt and verging on rude. Her knowledge of the menu left a lot to be desired... when asked what fish was in the seafood risotto she replied 'medium fish... I don't know'.She told us after we had ordered that the steak selected would take an hour to prepare (the larger one stated this on the menu but the smaller one didn't) and didn't inform us of what specials had sold out.Throughout the meal the waitresses propped up the bar chatting, there was no check back and they didn't ask if we wanted a second round of drinks until an hour and a half into the meal. And it was apparent the manager was encouraging the behaviour so it didn't feel as it it was appropriate to complain at the time or whether it would be reacted to. It was a shame as the waitress who served the table next to us seemed to be very personable to them and gave a great experience, even saying goodbye to them when her shift finished.However. The food was phenomenal. I've never tried a better steak and the risotto starter was very tasty. Would definitely recommend to anyone who didn't care about service levels, but unfortunately the ineptitude of the wait staff spoiled our experience.

I took some colleagues and a few clients here on Friday night and it was stunning! The place itself is done out very modern, clean, and plush looking.We were welcomed upon arrival and our table was ready for us straight away (pre-booked).We all had 3 courses and there wasn't one complaint from anyone.I had garlic & chilli prawns to start that were great. Followed by a 6oz fillet served with half a lobster, both of which were cooked to absolute perfection! This was served with a peppercorn sauce, chips, mushroom, onion, & tomato.To finish i had a cheese board.Other highlights from our table were the T-Bone which my friend never stopped raving about all night "melted in his mouth" apparently, and the Jambalaya which looked delicious too...One of our party had a shrimp cocktail starter that was served with a shot of vodka and half a lime.... the vodka went into the shrimp cocktail and made it taste superb, something i'd never tried before (cheers Neil!).I found it to be excellent value for money too, they could charge a lot more and get away with it such is the quality of the food here.For example, Fillet steak comes in 2 sizes, a 6ox for £17 or a 10oz for £22..... which is very good imo.... on average you're generally looking at £25 for an 8oz in my experience, and most aren't as good as they are here!For 7 people having 3 courses each, plenty to drink including 2 x bottles of champagne at 70 each, many beers, wine, and 2 rounds of shots, the bill came to 475.00. 10% service fee was added on making it a total of just over 520.00.Take away the indulgent bits like the champagne and shots and its under 50 per person... great value for what you get.I'll be back very soon for sure!

Rather disappointing. Wanted to go here for a while and had heard good things.Staff need to concentrate on the customers instead of being stood around the bar chatting. Had six members of staff serve us instead of one. One person took the order, another brought drinks, another brought starters, another cleared the table, another brought main and finally another cleared mains. How are you supposed to tip when no one has taken charge of serving the table?Food, we both enjoyed our starters but both of us disappointed with our steaks. I ordered rare and got medium rare and fiance ordered medium rear and got medium. For a steakhouse that's really poor.

Great experience at this restaurant. Arrived slightly early so decided to have a pre meal drink and the choice was very good but the quality of the cocktails was probably the best we have had. For our meal the food was excellent in both quantity and quality. Staff are very good and you are not rushed like some places around the city. Overall we will be returning to FSK

Having had to cancel 2 previous reservations as they clashed with private functions, we were really looking forward to our 2nd ever visit, especially as the first time we went (over a year ago) was so goodThe restaurant staff said they'd make everything extra special for us due to the issues with our last 2 bookings, and although they tried their best, getting 3 out of 6 meal orders initially wrong wasn't the best startIncorrect orders were swiftly put right and the food was excellent, particularly the scallop starter and rack of lamb. The cocktail selection is also excellentThe interior had changed slightly since our last visit, and although it was a bit less rustic it's still lovely. The staff were a bit lacking in enthusiasm but it was less than half full on a Friday night which maybe explains thatSo although our 2nd visit wasn't as good as the first it was still a lovely evening and we'll definitely be back. Hopefully the little service issues will have been ironed out by then

This is our second visit to fleet street kitchen and they have reached the wow factor with the new menu !! The 18oz Rib eye steak from the US with the herb rub has simply got to be the best steak I've ever eaten anywhere. The service was 1st class and it was a busy night, never had to wait or ask for anything all night. Thank you for a brilliant meal !!

I came here recently for food and really enjoyed my visit. The calamari starter was amazing as was the steak, however the peppercorn sauce I found a little bland. The service was also very good and I would definitely recommend this place. I would have awarded five stars but we couldn't help but notice a very awkward encounter at the front of the kitchen. There must have been a mix up over starters and we could hear the staff arguing at the front of the kitchen. I know these things happen but the shouting and atmosphere made it quite awkward and uncomfortable to watch. As said previously I couldn't fault the food, but maybe air your differences in a quieter place rather than at the front of the kitchen.

Booked a table for two on a busy Saturday night at F S K in Birmingham. The venue was great, initially a drinks at the bar before being shown to the table. Large selection of starters and main courses available. The main course in particular was absolutely first class - fillet steak, cooked to perfection, and highly recommended. Did not order any desserts as full from the first two courses. Service excellent, food excellent, definitely worth a visit.

Visited on a Saturday and reservation was for 4.30pm. Although the guy I assumed was Maitre d was having kittens at 5.30pm when only about 5 of a party of 20 had turned up they did a fantastic job. By about 6.00 around 25 people had turned up so they had to get another table but not once did they complain and the service was excellent. The food was fabulous with everybody enjoying their meal. I can imagine we made it a little difficult for them but they handled it well and we were treated superbly. Will be back and would definitely recommend

As always an excellent lunch with good friendly service. A shame this lovely restaurant is not marketed better by new management .... you're missing out and losing valuable customers by not advertising anywhere! When tried to book on Monday/Tuesday no info or answerphone available. Thought you had closed down! Rectify this before it's too late!!

Very nice environment. Excellent service and superb starter. Main course was good but nit outstanfing. We had a very nice evening and we are very happy with the service.

Visited this place 27th July 2017 it came highly recommended , the staff were friendly & service was superb & the food was excellent got to be the best steak I have ever had & very well presented on the plate too, will be definitely visiting this restaurant again, thank you for making my birthday special.

New favourite place! Went for my 21st birthday meal, the restaurant itself is gorgeous, music was great too which always makes a huge difference. Waiting staff were excellent! I want to say a huge thank you to Nick, very attentive and relaxed while still being professional and gave great recommendations The food was to die for, cocktails were fab! Thank you for a great night we will be back shorty and recommending you to everyone.

Can't imagine ever going anywhere else in the Midlands for a Sunday dinner. The roasts here are the best I have ever had anywhere and the gravy is worth the £15 on its own. Yesterday however, I went for the baked cod with asparagus and mushrooms from the specials board, which was absolutely gorgeous... as was the gooseberry tart. In fact I have never had anything here that wasn't really lovely. The staff are always friendly and helpful and I love everything about the place. The chefs here really know how to cook.

Everyone enjoyed the set meal , well presented and good choices. Friendly atmosphere and we were not rushed at all.

We had a Sunday night dinner here after an excellent experience the first time around and again it was fantastic. Friendly service and a wonderful menu make this place really tough to beat. Its not cheap but you get what you pay for which is a top quality experience. I had the Sunday roast lamb which was fantastic, and the smoked duck salad as a starter (which was also lovely). My wife had the tempura prawns starter and the rib eye steak as a main (with the best béarnaise sauce you will find). Another one of our group had the salmon starter and the cod main - both were fantastic If you like red wine there is a bottle from Lebanon on the menu that is so good you cant go past it! Enjoy - we will be back!.

Always a pleasure to eat at Fleet St Kitchen in brum..Nice breath of fresh air now that the whole restaurant has had a make over..Nothing really changed, main thing is that the food and service are still excellent..New manager Nick, really nice guy and very hands on..If you haven't tried it yet, get your self down there, don't forget to bring the family..Thanks again to all the staff, especially the chefs at Fleet St Kitchen, it always a pleasure.. 5*****

So we booked out table last week.Fantastic food we did seek.Then two days to go they cancelled the booking,Said on Mondays they were no longer cooking.Gutted we were, to say the least.Somewhere else we will have to feast.If your customer service is so inept,Your five star score wont be kept.

Booked last minute and what a great choice! Service was excellent, food delicious, well worth a visit.Being quite a fussy eater I often stick to dishes I know well even more so now we don't get out very often since the arrival of the little one, but was very pleased by the information given by the waitress when asking about dishes and choosing. Going with something different was really happy when food arrived. Portion size was good and there was just enough room for dessert. My husband also really enjoyed his steak and although he is normally a savoury guy was tempted to dessert which was fab.

What a fantastic restaurant! They service from all staff and quality of the good was amazing! The presentation of the food was served to perfection. We couldn't ask for a better evening. Couldn't remember any names but there we 2 male staff who went out of their way to ensure we had everything and food service was on time especially when there was 31 ladies!!I would recommend this restaurant any day and definitely come back again. This is our go to restaurant when we visit and it never disappoints. We visited last week and enjoyed a great relaxed meal with their pianist playing and singing to entertain us. The food was great and the service top drawer. Dianne looked after us well and remembered us from the last time we visited about 2 years before! It was so good we returned a week later for another memorable meal.

Went with my wife, son & daughter in law to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. Excellent food, excellent service, awesome day out.I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves great food and attentive service.A very special day was marked in style. 10/10 Fleet Street.

When Vising my nephew at Aston university we decided to go for a pub lunch. We found this delightful corner restaurant by looking for a local roast dinner, the pub stopped serving food and recommended this place. Simply by entering the grounds you forget you are in England. The interior is fabulously modern accommodating an outside terrace overlooking the canal. The menu is at your attention with a mobile easle consisting of delicious scripts. The steak was cooked to perfection. A lovely Sunday quaint afternoon with excellent service and presentation too.

Great venue with canal views outdoor space. Nice food. Friendly service. Cool and trendy. A bit of a tip if you having Sunday lunch have vegetarian gravy its fab and tastier than the meat gravy for some reason

First time here and impressed with the ambience. A baby grand piano with singer welcome you as you arrive. Reasonable choice of beers if you like lagers. The food is excellent and the staff are very attentive as well as friendly.

I visited Fleet Street when it first opened and I was very disappointed, however, there's been a change in menu and staff and I must say it's improved massively. The staff are more attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The atmosphere and vibe is on point and it's more aligned with the restaurant I visited in London. The open kitchen is a nice touch, as was the live pianist/singer. I would definitely consider visiting this spot again but the food scene in Birmingham is on the rise and Fleet Street may need to make further improvements if it wants to stay in the game! If I was scoring the food alone, I think it would only have 3 stars...the service and atmosphere definitely bump it up to 4.

Came here Sunday with 3 other people. The Sunday roasts here are absolutely amazing. We have been here about 4/5 times now, and we are never disappointed.I had the beef, which is cooked to your liking. You get plenty of roasts and veg - we had the extra of mash and sprouts as we were feeling greedy. The gravy is the best I've ever tasted - I could drink it straight out the gravy boat !!!! We all had different deserts, salted caramel cheesecake, coconut panna cotta, syrup pudding and Creme brulee. The cheesecake was by far the best out of the 4. The other 3 not quite worth the £6 each to be honest.Atmosphere and staff are fabulous - plenty of specials and the dessert cocktails are amazing. This is up there with the best Sunday roasts I have ever had. Keep up the fantastic work - we will be returning xx

Had not been for a couple of months to one of regular favourites as we felt after Christmas things had changed. But it's SO GOOD to have our lovely Sunday afternoon rescue package back. As ever the staff were fabulous always so attentive, welcoming and friendly. The food is back on track. Last week Sunday roast - delicious. This week dinner off the specials board. Beautifully tender rib eye steak cooked perfectly for both of us with different requirements. Not rushed and nothing is too much trouble. Happy Days roll on next weekend

We went here before we went to a concert Omg the food is to die for and the prices are pretty reasonable The staff are wonderful such lovely people and helpful very clean toilet are spotless !Definitely worth a visit if u not been

My friend and I stumbled across this hidden gem across the road from where we were staying and we were so delighted we did. Professional, friendly staff and classy, comfortable decor and furniture. The wine list had an excellent choice and so did the food menu. Actually, the food was amazing. We chose lots of little starters to share and each dish was delicious and beautifully presented. We treated ourselves to the "wait and see" dessert option which was a little mixture of lots of different desserts. Each one was mouth watering. We were so delighted with the whole experience and the new got the bill which had a 25% discount! Turns out we were there on a week night before 7pm and saved money! We couldn't believe it! What a brilliant place. Can't recommend it enough.

This was my first visit and definitely will not be the last. The staff were lovely, friendly and attentive.The food was just amazing! We picked from the lunch time menu so the cost was good too. £15 for 2 courses!To start I had smoked duck salad, the duck was beautiful & presentation was great too. For main I had smoked salmon, crushed new potatoes & asparagus.... cooked to perfection!!The venue is cool too looking too.

I write this whilst still sat in the restaurant. From the pianist to the general vibe of the place I LOVE. The food was fantastic. I would highly recommend the lamb. Be warned it's not lamb shank but lamb skewers! Lovely Our waitress was called Marketa and was absolutely fabulous. She recommended an amazing cocktail and dessert called 'wait and see' (trust me, the wait is worth it!) The staff were fabulous, the cost (considering we live in London) was great. We will definitely come back. Thanks all! X

FSK is a large, bright space on the edge of the giant constructions works in the centre of Birmingham. A board tucked into the entrance said that management had recently changed but it was front of house service that needed refreshing on my visit. I went mid week but at 8pm and the staff seemed focussed on getting the restaurant ready for the next day - endless amounts of glasses were being cleaned at the bar and table settings being shuffled about and the waiting staff were constantly being called aside to do backroom jobs.To be fair, a more senior Maitre'd arrived after I had begun eating and hugely improved the first contact experience for people arriving after myself, as well as the general attention to guests already in the room.Also, the food here is great - the specials board in particular gives the impression of being properly thought about and refreshed regularly, perhaps even daily, and wine is available by carafe which means single diners can enjoy a couple of glasses without being price gouged or forced to buy a bottle.Judging by many TA reviews, my experience may have been unusual. I would certainly be happy to pay a return visit to check out the service again because the food is so good and have given some benefit of doubt in making this a four star review as a result.

Having chosen to dine at FSK based on positive Trip Advisor reviews, we were not disappointed. This tucked away gem (just off Newhall St) provided a lovely Monday night dinner. We chose starters from the special's board & the a la carte menu - both delicious - followed by perfectly cooked steaks. The carefully-curated wine list was very reasonably priced & our after-dinner liqueur coffees very good indeed. The service was attentive but unobtrusive. And even though it was a quiet evening, the atmosphere was really pleasant. We're looking forward to our next visit.

I feel compeled to write this review, I was so surprise to find flavours that you can only find in countries like Mexico or New Orleans, my husband had the jambalaya and I had the carne asada. I must say delicious and full of flavor, I have been for business a couple times in Birmingham and had not found a restaurant with this international combination, this is now my favorite business dinner spot! My congratulations to the chefs. The staff were very attentive and friendly, it is a very confortable setting and it is fairly priced. I'll be back tomorrow to try all the other amazing dishes on the menu

I love this restaurant! It's located in a nice setting on the canal in central Birmingham, and includes a small outdoor area for dining/drinks.The food is consistently very good and the service is excellent - the best of any restaurant (in this price bracket) in Brum! There are cheaper places but I still think it's great value for money.They also do a great Sunday roast including gluten free options.Well done to the team!

Visited for the first time for Sunday dinner, decor inside is lovely, staff very friendly and food great quality and reasonably priced.Overall excellent, would recommend and we will definitely be returning.

I loved everything about Fleet Street Kitchen: The bright, clean surroundings; the attentive, efficient yet unobtrusive service; the fabulous food and drink; the fact that the children's menu wasn't just great value, it actually had proper food on it; the general ambiance. It was busy as it was Mothering Sunday, but we had excellent service and the food arrived a reasonable time after ordering. The menu is varied, with a good mix of meat, fish and vegetarian, as well as traditional Sunday roasts. I had a spicy halibut dish from the daily specials, which was beautifully cooked and had an unusual but delicious combination of flavours. Although the portions were more than ample, the pudding menu was too good to resist. All three courses were perfectly prepared and attractively presented and although it wasn't the cheapest lunch, I felt that it was good value for the excellent quality.

Went for lunch as part of a work celebration. The service was ok and the food was disappointing. I had the Crispy Beef Salad - and it was far too salty. I even asked other people to try it - they agreed, so it was not just me. Another complaint was made about a steak - this was replaced, but very begrudgingly.

Birthday meal with the family.Seated straight away, service faultless, drinks kept flowing.All 10 in our party enjoyed there meal, no complaints. Wonderful food, wonderful staff.Absolutely brilliant entertainment the live music was great. We will all be revisiting very soon! Mario was ace!

I wasn't sure if I should write a review as telling everyone how delicious the food is may make it harder for me to get a table in the future!Having read previous reviews I thought this would be an average restaurant. This is so wrong. There are so many great sounding menu choices that I found it difficult to decide. In the end I started with scallops which melted in my mouth. I followed this with duck which was so tender & tasty I could have eaten more other than I was so full due to the generous portion sizes.To drink I tried the different vodkas. It was a pleasure being able to try different brands at average prices.The only comment I can make about the desserts is that they looked good. I was too full to try one. Perhaps next time.The staff were attentive & friendly and didn't rush us.I wish I lived closer so I could eat here often.

Lovely decor, ambiance, and atmosphere. Four of us dined recently on a quiet evening and were able to chat up our stellar and knowledgeable servers. The special of roast cod was the favorite at the table with the jambalaya a close second. We also all really enjoyed the calamari. Our servers were attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. Every single morsel.

Best Sunday Lunch in Town. Excellent food. Excellent service. Made to feel so welcome. We will be back soon.

Booked a table for 12 friends to have a reunion catch up and nice meal and we were all blown away at how good the food was, every dish was cooked perfectly, This has to be some of the best food going, so full of flavor and cooked just right the food just melts in your mouth, the staff looked after us well and for a large table we had great service, all the food arrived at the same time. We all traveled to Birmingham to meet up so not local but the food was so good here I'd consider going there just to eat at the Fleet Street Kitchen again. Top Marks and looking forward to going again.

Food good but marred by having to sit in bar high chair area due to booking procedure (open table) not being able to save a modification to booking ( more people wanted to come) meaning there was no table available for four of us, even though online it suggested that modification had been saved. Waiter was dubious about this explanation and suggested it was my fault as well. Shame. We spent £45 each for meal.

Visited with my wife for Valentine's Day, food and service was excellent, starter portions were really good. Both our mains were spot on and the dessert was gorgeous. It was a nice leisurely meal and the staff were attentive without being too attentive. This wasn't our first visit and won't be our last.

Booked this restaurant for Valentines day for myself and my wife. We both had never been before and were hugely impressed with everything from the look of the restaurant, the atmosphere, the service and best off all the food. The quality of starters was amazing and the mains were cooked as requested. We even made it to dessert as we just wanted to experience more! They even added little touches to the Valentines meal with a free Rose, to wooden prop roses and a even a box of sweets for the 2 of us. (Little touches always make a huge impression)The service was top notch, the waiters knew when to come over and were very accommodating. Would definitely be coming back.

Managed to get a table to celebrate Valentines with my new wife and pleased we did. Despite our turning up a few minutes late the waiters couldn't have have been more attentive. Unlike a lot of places on nights like this we were not rushed off the table which gave us ample time savour the food. The Flintstone flat rib of beef is to die for!!Will be heading back there sometime soon

Amazing meal, wasnt crazy busy but was just right to create a nice warm atmosphere.Food was great, had a steak off the specials board and it did not dissapoint. Unfortunatly i didnt get a picture of the food, but service was prompt and experience was 100%.Cant wait to come back on my next visit!
