First time visit for Sunday morning breakfast. Full breakfast and a breakfast omelette, both were excellent quality and tasty. Lovely quality sausages, no chip shop style! Toast was particularly good with plenty of butter! Really friendly service too.

This used to be a favourite place for my Mum and I to visit for many many years, went on Saturday, 1st Feb, with my son & friend, received under cooked eggs, and for 2 lots of egg on toast, 2 small (supposed to be medium !) breakfasts,a couple of teas & cokes, nearly £30.00 !! Needless to say after all these years, we shall now be finding an alternative venue to have our Saturday treat while out shopping.

No one to greet us. Ordered our breakfast and drinks. Cup dirty, never said anything. Full 10” plate breakfast fine but no presentation skills. Bacon toastie ok however bit of fat still left on bacon, should be asked how you like bacon doing. I’m a crispy person.

For the fan of UK cafe culture, Flavours has it all. Atmosphere, civility, perfect coffee and good freshly -cooked food sourced locally and served with aplomb. With a soundtrack of 60S Motown and an outside seated area it is a Mod cafe par excellence. Flavours has it all in spades.

I have over the years when in hoylake for work dropped in for food and coffee, I have notice it slipping and getting that greasey smell recently. Food become just ok nothing as good as in the past. But last time I got there just before 2pm he came rushing to the door and closed in my face almost. I thought he was joking but he was not , sorry dont bother after 2 oclock was all I got. After all the times I been there, supported the local busness. Ended up in pub opposite fuming. Ok you need to have times but a little give to a customer. Life time avoidance now, found some where better and not full of fat smell. A sad end on sour note.

Flavours truly is a little gem. It's a what you see is what you get kinda place, which is always a smile and cheerful greeting, brilliantly cooked food and if you're lucky, a singing chef. The menu is great for a small cafe, the specials are always good to give a whirl ... they do a fab chili! Breakfasts at Flavours are delicious, and their lunch offerings are tasty whether eaten in or taken out. Well worth it.

I only live round the corner, and never tried this cafe, I am rather annoyed that I didn't try here sooner. I had the 7" full English, which was more than enough. Quality ingredients used, everything was cooked to perfection, mightily impressed, set me and my friends up nicely for the day ahead at Hoylake Beer Festival, I would of returned the next day for a hangover breakfast, were it not for me being too lazy.

This is one of those places where no matter when you go, you always leave feeling happier and content. The food is fab. It's a no frills experience. The decor is not fancy but it has a certain charm, it's the kind of establishment where 'you get what it says on the tin'. It's a cafe, it does amazing breakfasts. The menu isn't massive but it doesn't have to be. Flavours is the kind of place that knows exactly what it is. Simple, good food. Fast friendly service. Reasonable prices and always polite and friendly. Sometimes you hear the chef/boss singing his head off from the kitchen, it just has a lovely vibe. Long may it continue. I love this place!!

I usually have one of the legendary breakfast but just lately have been trying out the specials and the scouse in particular is so tasty. Simple breakfast cooked very well! Family run business, I usually prefer a greasy cafe and this place provides an alternative with all the right flavour and taste but without the grease. Food is prepared well, always hot and comes out without any delay.. After working in the restaurant industry for 20 years... They do a great job here at flavours! Price is very reasonable and portions always good! Can see comments of staff being sarky, and each to their own.. I have no affiliation with the business owners, however the owner seems a friendly chap who likes talking to his customers and makes sure everyone is feel welcome. Keep up the good work.

We've only visited this little cafe once, despite the fact it is primarily placed on the main street through Hoylake. The building, which was foremost not meant as a cafe has been transformed into one. You walk in and are greeted by simple decor. Some wooden tables and chairs that aren't the comfiest things in the world. If anything needs rectifying, it is these as it does look a little dated and too simplistic for me. We didn't order anything special, just a few coffees, teas & a hot chocolate for me personally. All these were served with a smile which just adds the charisma of the place. In addition we also ordered some small meals such as a panini and it was gorgeous cooked beautifully by a super happy chef who never stopped singing the entire discography of Shania twain (Or that's what it sounded like), but that just lightened up the whole place. The food was of good quality and they were left with a very clean plate. Good serving portions, not over the top and a nice little side salad to accompany everything, a nice little extra touch. This little cafe has strong local ties and we should respect that as it is lovely and divine.

This cafe is in a great location, but is below average. It's not expensive for the average offering. The cakes are bought in, all of them! Ok that's fair enough but there is an independent bakery over the road that I'm sure they could a deal or fresh homemade cakes daily.I can stay at home and have bought cake or a sandwich made with the cheapest possible ingredients, why would I pay a premium for it! (Note to the owner-best not to shop locally for low quality ingredients, your customers will spot you on both Morrisons and Aldi.No problems with the staff, just the food quality....sort it out, it could be a great little caf, but with so much competition it's hard to justify a return.

I eat lunch here regularly because the service is extremely efficient, the staff are very friendly and the price is right. It's a typical cafe menu but there are often home-cooked specials which have always been fantastic. I'd recommend the cottage pie or scouse if they're on offer. If you're stuck for an idea, the owner has on more than one occasion suggested something more adventurous than what's on the usual menu! There's decking outside so it's easy to spend a very long lunch hour when the weather is good. You can order sandwiches to take out too so I've often grabbed something in passing. I love the place.

Been coming here for the occasional breakfast or lunch for a good couple of years now. The owner is extremely friendly. Always stops for a chat and remembers your face. Waitress is always attentive to little ones needs. The menu doesn't specifically cater for children but things are adapted to suit them. Agree with previous reviewer, Flavours is just a lovely, chilled out place to enjoy all day breakfast or lunch inside or outside, or just stop off for a coffee, read of the paper or do crossword, with or without your kids, for a quick visit or a longer stay no hassle, whatever you want. Service quick and unobtrusive but friendly, food always fresh, tasty and good value. Great for after a bit of shopping or just a little treat on a Sunday morning. We were in Birkenhead, from North Wales, to buy rugs for our lounge. A hunger inducing task I have to say. We have been here before, pre covid, and enjoyed the fish and chips. It was an oversight on my part that I did not comment on that occasion but I will now. After an inedible experience at a more local establishment near my hometown recently we were somewhat dubious about another fish and chip let down. We needn`t have worried. Beautiful moist ,lightly battered fish NOT swimming in oil. Lovely fluffy chips and my husband, a fryer of forty years standing, was bowled over with his meal. I know it`s only fish and chips, but believe me it can be done badly so often. Superb food( my husband loved his spicy curry sauce) hot ,fresh and tasty. A noisy atmosphere but it was far outweighed by our lovely lunch. Thankyou and keep doing exactly what you`re doing
