Indian food that is unique and extremely tasty. Service is exceptional and alternative.

Went here for a birthday meal and the staff were brilliant as ever! It's difficult to top an indian restaurant in Thanet than here! Very accommodating to dietary needs and spice preferences. Complimentary lentil or potato soup in an espresso cup portion, and lentil bites as appetisers. They really do know how to treat their guests. A very pleasant experience and one we will definitely return to again!

Very nice in the restaurant, would normally go to Ramsgate, but this was very nice ,was told to give this one a go and it was nice ,place ,staff and best of all food, definitely recommend, great thank you .

Onion bhaji not included as described. Chicken dish tasted like vinegar and beef was overcooked. We don’t get takeaways much but thought we would treat ourselves on NYE. Such a shame as we have eaten in the restaurant and it was amazing.

Bloody delicious!! Thank you! First time we have tried FbK. We’ve not had a decent curry for a long long time and got to the point of not trusting reviews! Madras heat for everything we asked for. Wonderful deep tasting flavours, packed with meat and the mains come with rice, which we didn’t realise. Brilliant place, will definitely be back. For now, we are very happy we ordered a few things to try as we have enough to dip into tomorrow too. 🙌🏼🙌🏼. Thanks again. 👍

Lovely friendly staff and delicious food

Doesn't look anything special from outside but the food is fantastic. Authentic Indian cuisine so if you are expecting Bangladeshi curries like Vindaloo, Madras or Phal forget it. I've had dishes from their specials board that have included chargrilled sword fish, salmon, sea bass, tuna to say nothing of their starters . Incredible value for money, friendly staff. What more could you ask for.

What a wonderful restaurant. The food was brilliant. Totally catered for our vegetarian guest. Staff is so attentive. I'm definitely going to be using this restaurant again.

Had a great meal on Saturday night. Service is fantastic food is fantastic. This is now my Goto Indian in Thanet. I had lamb kebabs that was a meal in itself then had a dish that I cannot remember the name of but it is equivalent to chicken Jalfrezi, it was absolutely perfect lots of chicken more than you normally get in any Indian I have been to. Loads of rice you could probably share. They also bring out small side dishes for you between your meal one was a lentil soup and another was some pastry bites. Definitely going back. As a price guide we had popadoms, 1 portion of lamb skewers(2) 1 egg rice 1 coconut rice, 1 jalfrezi, 1 lamb Korma, keema naan and Garlic Nann and two diet cokes £54. For this food quality and quantity it was well worth it. I have paid much more than that in other Indian restaurants and been disappointed.

First time here and will be back! We were recommended here by friends and this is one of the tastiest curries we've had in years (and we're from London with a lot of choice). We had the special- duck tikka in a sauce, and beef xacuti, with a dhal. Unusual and full of flavour. Service great- got a complimentary small lentil soup each too, which was delicious. Also v reasonably priced.

My first Indian takeaway since moving to the area and I was prepared to have to try a few before finding my favourite but I need look no further! Another review noted the food was more traditional southern Indian vs what many of the other UK Indian takeaways/restaurants are, which would typically Bangladeshi or Pakistani, so I thought I must try to see the difference. I noticed they didn’t do chicken tikka masala or bhuna which are my usual (boring) ‘go to’ so I opted for something different and had a lamb rogan Josh, a dahl and chicken tikka with egg fried rice. Portion sizes were good, I thought it was a lovely tough that they gave a complimentary popadom, mango chutney & yogurt as well as a small cup of their dahl soup which was delicious! But the flavours were amazing, everything was so fresh and tasty, previous restaurants I’ve been to use the same base for many of their dishes and just add extras to change the dish slightly but it all gets a bit ‘same y’ however not here! Each dish was distinctive from the next, flavours were balanced beautifully. I especially enjoyed the black lentil dahl. Overall it wasn’t very spicy but that works for me, some may want to ask for extra spice if you are into that. I am already looking forward to my next takeaway!

Decided to have a takeaway. The online booking would not schedule a pick up time after going through the menu and selecting our meal. After many attempts and much frustration, I contacted the restaurant who informed me I could not select a pick up time for later as they were not currently open? However, I could ring Ramsgate or order online at Ramsgate and arrange pick up at Garlinge. In the end, the gentleman took my order and I collected as arranged on the phone. The 20% discount for online orders as per their webpage is apparently no longer applicable but they did take off 10% off. The ordering experience took the shine off our meal, which was plentiful and delicious.

We came as a family of 9 people to this place in a rush to find some food to eat as we thought we were never gone make in time for dinner. This place is a gem. They serve you fresh and hot and quick. Quite reasonable prices for a fine dining place. Their dessert was so light and beautifully presented. Great finesse and presentation of flavors.

Another wonderful dinner in our favourite restaurant yesterday. The food and service cannot be bettered. The Chilli Prawns special starter was delicious and the Fish Amritsari was as good as ever. The main courses were absolutely excellent. Many thanks to Peter, Anselmo and Ashwin for making us so welcome and to Raj, the very talented chef. See you all soon.

Very special Indian food, largely but not exclusively from Southern India, where the emphasis is very much on flavour. If you looking for a 'standard' Indian restaurant (which are often Bangladeshi or Pakistani) then look elsewhere, this is very different. High level Indian food from a top chef at surprisingly reasonable prices - we paid less than £70 for a meal for 4 with drinks. Great for vegetarians too. We'd previously visited (and reviewed) the Ramsgate branch - this newer one, just outside Margate, was just as good. Very friendly staff too.

Wonderful food service excellent

Ordered takeaway from here for the first time. The keema nan was delicious, my favourite part of the meal. The chicken curry was nice too, great flavours in the sauce, could be spicier. Crispy okra was also tasty. I was excited about the lamb biriyani but the entire dish just tasted like cardamom which ruined it for me. It dominated the whole dish. Popadoms and the complimentary soup were lovely.

First takeaway from here. Could have been a bit hotter in temperature and spice but that was ok. The portions were very large! There was loads of delicious tender meat in the main meals. Great food. Complimentary popadom, dips and soup, thank you. We will be back!

First time visit and we’ll definitely be back. Great service. Food was unique with so many flavours. My husband loves all the hot spices and he was very impressed. I’m not keen on the heat, but I enjoyed the clever use of the spices. The chicken was gorgeous.

Very disappointed, prawns were chewy so overcooked , spinach was grey and over cooked , raita was curdled and too spicy ( this should cool the meal) Nan was not as expected … no fruit or nuts? We ordered a vegetable curry that did not come and instead two bland orders of rice which were not ordered ….very disappointed

I don't know what is going wrong at the Margate branch but the Ramsgate branch is twice as good. Thankfully we can get delivery from the Ramsgate branch when this one is closed.

Tried this out as already eaten a few times at their Ramsgate place and this is much nearer to us. TBH I preferred the decor etc in this one too and the menu is the same. It was great to see other tables occupied on a Thursday evening as this added to the atmosphere

This was a lovely gem to find. The staff were so polite and friendly and whilst I ordered my chicken chetinaad for take away I was given a small lentil soup whilst I waited. The food was gorgeous and they live up to their name with flavours, definitely full of flavour! And again was surprised by the additional pomperdoms and sauces. Amazing service and gone that little extra mile to make my experience a memorable one. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you Flavour by Kumar.

Don’t recommend it to anyone. Just ordered it in the Uber ears and it doesn’t taste good. The food was hot but the taste is not good.

Absolutely love this place! I really recommend this restaurant if you are looking for tasty fresh Indian food, a great dining experience and wonderful service! The staff go above and beyond with their hospitality, and they remembered me from last time asking for dairy free dishes (which they have plenty of.) If you are looking for dairy free dishes I recommend the fish amritsari for starters and the chicken chettinand for the main, and they do a lovely orange sorbet for pudding. Overall great food, service and atmosphere and will definitely be back! Thank you 😊

An absolutely fantastic place for proper Indian food! The food here is fresh, flavoursome and authentic. My personal favourite starters are the Chicken 65, Masala Dosa, Chilli Chicken and the Lamb Sheekh kebab. My favourite mains are the Tandoori Chicken and the Chicken Makhani. The staff are very attentive and polite, the perfect customer service in all honesty. Great food, value, service and venue. Keep up the good work and thanks again!

Most amazing food I had after a long time.

Me and my husband got a take away from here last night and it was disgusting. The poppadoms where stale and the food was just hard chewy meat in sauce. The naan bread was soggy and not cooked.i phoned to complain and was told a manager would call me but this didn't happened. I will not be ordering from here again over £40 spent and what a waist of money . Don't bother .

Modern Indian cuisine, nicely decorated modern surroundings. Friendly welcome, a good range of Indian food, from many different regions, with a modern twist. Very tasty and flavoursome, without being too overbearing or hot. A nice amuse bouche to start, and a very tasty lentil dahl palette cleanser between courses. Great service and reasonable prices for quality food.
