The food arrived piping hot and with generous portions. Taste was superb. Will be ordering again. The menu is extensive with many options to choose from.

Vine a verte después de que recibiste mi pedido incorrecto y cuando mi hija te llamó por teléfono dijiste "¿QUÉ QUIERES QUE HAGA? ESTABA OCUPADO DE UNA MANERA AGRESIVA" eres un hombre muy afortunado ya que estoy a solo 200 años de ti pero debido a Covid no pude llevar el asunto más lejos. poco sabías que apareceríamos en tu puerta, así que lo hice y lo haré de nuevo cuando todo este distanciamiento social termine. Absolutamente fantástico, nunca me ha decepcionado la comida y la bebida, cada plato está hecho a pedido y vale la pena esperar. Excelente relación calidad-precio

Le daría 5 pero eso está reservado para ese plato realmente increíble que obtienes. En orden desde aquí a menudo. La comida preparada para uno es perfecta para dos comedores pequeños y puedes cambiar el curry. Lo cambio cada vez y nunca se niegan. Siempre entregado caliente nunca tuvo un problema.

Myself and my partner visited the restaurant tonight for the first time after moving to the area a year ago. We have had takeaway from Flavour of India before and it has always been nice, so we decided to stop by and take advantage of their mid-week offer and I am so glad we did! The food was absolutely amazing, I can’t fault it at all and would go as far as to say this is the best curry I’ve ever eaten! Slightly disappointed that they no longer serve alcoholic drinks but we were advised that we were able to bring our own, if we wanted. The staff were lovely and friendly. The restaurant itself was also very clean and tidy. And the food was served on warmed plates which was really nice too; not many places warm their plates before serving nowadays! Flavour of India is quickly becoming our go-to curry house!

I have only lived in the area four months and I can honestly say this restaurant is brilliant I only go for take away as I’m so busy no time for the restaurant visits but hopefully I get to go soon. The lamb shashlik is by far the best I have ever had and I have lived in different towns over the last 15 years. The staff are accommodating and brilliant with requests and Amin is such a friendly member of staff understanding,efficient, professional and polite. The delivery is on time always. The standard of food is brilliant and I highly recommend flavour of India. I always go to them for my takeaway and I’m desperate to go to the restaurant. I won’t use another Indian cuisine take away/ restaurant as their food is brilliant and the portions are good sized too. I am not uoloadingn a photo of my food as I am eating it :)

I would highly recommend the flavour of India. The food is superb I can highly recommend the king prawn dhansak and the naan bread is the best we've ever had. You can take your own alcohol so the bill at the end of the night is so cheap. The staff are very helpful and can't do enough for you .I will definitely be going back with my husband and my son

Not sure what to say. Some of it was good other dishes just not up to scratch. Think at the moment its pot luck. Iwill give it another go but it has to improve.

Cold uninspiring food. Had a takeaway that was inedible. Smelt off putting so we were reluctant to even try the chicken dish. Staff didn't understand when my friend telephoned to express concern over the freshness of the food. Never again. We ended up getting a lovely fresh kebab from ollies in the village.

It used to be our regular under the old management which we used to enjoy. However, the new management have much to learn! We waited 40 mins to order then another 45 mins for the food. After 20 mins of being there we were the only ones in the restaurant so it wasn't like they were busy! When the food finally came it was greasy & grainy. It was so nasty I sent my whole meal back. At no point did we get an apology. I was utterly disgusted with the food & service! My husband had to argue a discount, even though I sent my dinner back! We will not be going back. So disappointed

26AUG18 - Having not used Flavour of India for many years I decided to give them another try; I ordered Chicken Madras Curry & Rice which was ok but a little lacking as needed more chicken pieces and more spices plus some more liquid. I would suggest that the restaurant consider offering the customer two size options including a large Madras curry rather than just the one small sized square metal container as it just wasn't enough. I would try another local curry house in my search for perfection before returning to Flavour of India again...

No food hygiene star rating shown at this premises which set alarms off. We had visited on a Sunday lunchtime and were the only customers there throughout our hour stay. We were shown to a table with heavily stained seats (I hate to think this was the best table as no one else was there). The food was presented on hot food servers so you helped yourself. Nothing was labelled, so being a vegetarian, it was difficult to see which had the meat and which didn’t. On asking, the waiter was a little hesitant which made me very uncomfortable on his decisions making. So I stuck to lots of plain rice and a littlle else. The decor is dated and the soft furnishings need a good cleaning. Would I go again ..... think not.

Poor service although trying, Guessing from the starter we should go, but was to sit it out to see, you'll never know. Then the main course came out, Cold burnt rice, uncooked nan and Madras out of a can, YUK. But the Onion Bhaji's were un-edible, Rock Hard. When they had asked if we had finished as nothing was touched, Informed the waiter of the Onion Bhaji as these wee like BULLETS and was informed "That these must of been old ones". Enough said. Manager had offered £10 back as we never complained but was so obvious by the food left. Gutted as this is in a good location with good potential but would not step through this door again. And by the way if you want a coke or diet coke you have to make do from a week old 3ltr bottle, check it and see for yourself, but you will be wasting your time and money.....

Always tasty food and reasonably priced. Would recommend. The mid week deal is very good value for money

We've been coming to this restaurant from day one. The good here is amazing, just so flavoursome. Every now and then we get tempted to try somewhere else. Huge mistake. Nowhere else even comes close to the tasty food and excellent service you get here.

Was served rotton gone off food bit into my dish to instantly taste rotton meat. On further inspection you could see and smell it was bad. So sent straight back and ordered the same dish again but a fresh one. After a long wait got my replacement dish and yet again the meat had gone off. To be told by staff must be a bad batch. So obviously decided not to have any food.

never have a problem with the flavour takeaway or eat in staff always polite etc etc when we have eaten in like i said in previous reviews no problems at all

Très bon restaurant Indien . Nous y sommes allé à 6 adultes et La nourriture est très excellente . Le serveur nous a bien renseigné sur les différents plats et les assiettes étaient bien garnies pour une addition très raisonnable.

Love the owner, v helpful. Food is quick & tasty. Always happy to accommodate any changes, if they can. Happy to make extra sauce up for dipping! Great place to relax and chill. It's a regular favourite.

We have been here about 6 times now and found the food very good but it is never very busy which seems unusual as the food is very good.

We have been going to the flavour of Indian for years. The food is beautiful, the staff are friendly and you are not rushed!! Best Indian restaurant we have been to and delivery is worth the wait too.

We often order take away from here and he knows my wife name, This is far the best Curry I have ever tasted and would recommend to everyone in the Orpington.

I've been here many times, the staff are very friendly and it has recently been decorated. In the week they do an excellent deal but I won't disclose what it is so you have to go down there between Monday and Thursday. But you won't be disappointed with the deal. I have to recommend you take a good bunch of you and having lots of food to share. Finally go for the starter Lamb Purée it is incredible my favourite thing there. Enjoy :)

Similarly to some of the previous reviewers, we've been eating at the Flavour for almost 20 years and have to agree it's the best in the area for tasty food at a very reasonable price plus the alcohol is cheaper than anywhere else I've been. The Monday to Thursday special is a fantastic bargain for just under a tenner you get a starter, a main, a side dish, bread and a coffee. Some years ago we tried around a dozen or more Indian restaurants in the surrounding area for a change but always found ourselves coming back to our favourite. We've introduced fronds and colleagues to it and they too are hooked. Ray, Aly and Ray's lovely daughters always take care of us and socialise during our meal, "it's like visiting your friends for dinner"There's always regulars in there like us and we often meet them there like a family gathering. I'll never grow tired of going to the Flavour of India and now I've written this long overdue review in going to get myself down there!

Flavour of India has undergone some interior redecoration and the place looks fantastic like a breath of fresh air. A new floor would add even more vamp to the place. It is no wonder the place has been open for nearly 20 years; the food is always delicious, full of flavour (of India)! And mouth-watering. Neither I nor any of my friends or family can seem to say we have ever had a bad meal from this restaurant whether it is eat in or takeaway. Prices are extremely reasonable (and dare I say cheap) (especially for the Sunday Buffet) yet quality is NEVER compromised. atmosphere is lovely and the staff is always both charming and sociable. I have tried many Indian restaurants in Orpington and I am pleased to inform you Flavour of India is by far the finest in all aspects.

We have ordered from Flavour of India a number of times and have to say it is very hit and miss. Sometimes the food is so bad we have complained and had them come back and collect the food and replace it. Other times it's been ok...but just ok. The chicken used in the korma and tikka masala is the processed type and unpleasant. Naan bread regularly turns up burnt to a crisp. On a plus the delivery driver is always very friendly!

My family and I have always used this restaurant, as other places are not as good. I cannot fault the food or staff. The food is always of good quality as there is always plenty of meat and sauces in the dishes I have had. We have also used it for takeways and it has always been hot.

My family and I went on a Sunday afternoon for their buffet. Food was ok but the whole place is beyond disappointing. Building very run down and looks like it's been shut down for years from the outside. The inside is dark, dingey and has an uncomfortable feel. The windows are all single pane so it's chilly and gets steamed up. The whole carpet is sticky and the chairs are uncomfortable. We were the only ones in the restaurant (which did make it more uncomfortable) but the staff weren't very attentive and they just sat there staring at us through the entire meal. All in all I wouldn't go back and I don't recommend anyone else to.

Yes the restaurant could do with some new decor but you can't beat the food and the staff and lovely. We've been coming here for years, we live in a close by village that has 3 expensive Indian restaurants which are not as nice as this one.

food was bland and had no flavour what so ever. Very poor food. Would never order again. I have eaten Indian microwave ready meals with more flavour. Worst food ever!! AVOID!!

Ate here twice both times ended up ill all of us. Shame as for us its ideal for a quick meal out being local. Staff are friendly but its the food that let's it down. I wish it was better.

We first came in here as the restaurant we wanted to go to was booked. Now been coming here eight years and it is one of the best curries with friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Well worth popping in.

Once you've eaten at 'Rays' Flavour of India your dream to find the best curry in town will finally be achieved.The quality of food is second to none and consistently high standards can always be expected with crisp white linen, hot towels and complimentary after dinner drinks always provided.Nothing is too much trouble for Ray, his daughters and Samal who make your dining experience feel like a family affair in the comfort of your own home.This restaurant is exceptional.

I went to the Flavour of India for a talk by Zimbabwean ex-Test cricketer, Henry Olongo and ended up sitting next to him for the entire meal.... The buffet selection (to feed about 70 hungry attendees) was very good: a spicy Butter Chicken and a tender Lamb Curry dish with a very good Aloo Gobi, rice and chapatis. Sufficiently impressive to tempt me back for a return visit.
