Muestra publicitaria plato de comida apilada con chips para menús normales. La realidad normal es que diez chips extra grandes son 11. Y la mayoría del plato frío

Gran lugar para visitar con la familia de un amigo. La hora del almuerzo ha sido solo para tomar una copa. Jake fue servicial y con una gran cara sonriente. Volverá pronto

The food can be very hit and miss here sometimes you can have amazing food other times you wish you hasn't bothered going Definatly gone down hill was amazing when first opened

What can I say I have been here a few times and the food is always good. The challenges aren't the hardest to complete but you do get your photo on the wall and a certificate to say you completed the challenge. I would recommend this place for a family meal or business lunch because of the relaxed atmosphere.

Have written a couple of reviews about this restaurant in the past and they have always been good. The last couple of times we have been we have noticed a gradual tail off in the quality of the service. Yesterday was the worst yet. The menu has been severely reduced giving you much less choice but the biggest problem was the lack of service, the general cleanliness and the deterioration in the quality of food. Despite the restaurant being relatively quiet we waited ages for the main course. We then had to wait almost an hour for the desserts to be served. We even had to go to the bar to remind them we were waiting. The quality of the food was just about reasonable but my food was cold. I had ordered the big breakfast and the beans and mushrooms were cold and the toast was very hard and stale. When the desserts were served they must have been sitting in the kitchens for ages because the cream and ice cream had near enough melted. All in all a very disappointing eating experience. Come on Village Green you can do better than this you are going to lose your regular customers at this rate.

Miserable staff.. unhelpful.. really slow service.. overpriced.. had ran out of most things.. wasn't even busy.. never seen so many miserable staff in my life.. of all the reviews I've left.. this is the first negative one I have had to leave.. on a plus the nachos were very nice..

After booking a table for 2 at the village green for 8 we were looking forward to trying the food as it had been recommended.we arrived at 7.50pm and headed to back bar and was waiting to be served. 2 customers came after us and stood at the bar. The rude bar staff served the first customer then went to serve the 2nd. When asked if we were actually going to be seen as we had been waiting first her attitude was disgusting. She looked at us like we were riff raff and basically told us they were there first and would serve us after. Her customer service skills were less than 0. And she needs to check her attitude and fast. We walked out disgusted on how we had been treated. Would I recommend it no not unless u like being made to wait and feel invisible. Not a good way to welcome new customers. Well They certainly won't be getting any custom from me or my partner.

Food is good, chicken wings are very nice! They have a few food challenges which is exceptionally priced for what you receive. On the whole a good hearty place to get a good meal for your money. Depending on which day you visit it is a family place, just not so much on weekends as the bar area can get a bit loud!

Brilliant food once again, really friendly helpful staff , they even cooked me something off menu as I'm an awkward eater , we have been here at least 20 times and never had a bad time , only down side is the ladies loos and heating seriously need up dating , but other than that it's all great !

Great value and a big variety of dishes, great for steak lovers but probably not top of a vegetarian's list. The Naga hot sauce is definitely as hot as it claims but a great accompaniment to steak. Friendly staff as with all of this chain's pubs that I have visited and Sky Sports, what more could a man want?

Went here in December as a couple for evening meal as live nearby and wanted something quick, affordable and tasty as it came highly recommended from friends. Decor is a bit odd and the pub feel doesn't really work as it is such a large and strange layout. The garish orange paint outside is beyond me why they made that decision. Affordable - yes, Tasty - no, Quick - hell no. Waited for TWO HOURS for food after having to complain 3 times about the delay of food. There were two waitresses, one barman and one chef we were told. We were not told of any form of wait on ordering, if so we would've definitely gone somewhere else. We got offered a round of free drinks by the very nice waitress who explained the situation but surely this place should not be offering full service if they do not have the staff to cope with it. Eventually when I got my food after a truly long wait it came out burned to a cinder. Asked for my money back as it was a disaster of an evening. Would not go back ever again unless things seriously changed!

Fuimos aquí la semana pasada como un foursome, ordenados comidas que venía bastante rápidamente, pero el pescado estaba fría en el medio y wet debajo. Mi amiga no podía comer su hamburguesa de pollo debido a su aspecto insulso así que dejé en su plato. El pueblo está bien para una bebida, pero no te molestes con la comida es asqueroso!

We visited as a party of 12 on a monday night. I had downloaded a voucher for 20% off food from the website so was a little apprehensive but there was no need. The voucher was accepted no problem and we also got free kingsize upgrades e meals as it was a monday. Great food, great value for money.

Treated my mom, dad and husband to a bite to eat last Wednesday ( early evening). I was impressed with the new refurb and the look of the menu. My parents were both quite happy with the skillet meals they ordered, although they got dad's potato order wrong.Hubby and I both tried a burger. They were tastless except for the overwhelming burnt taste. The onion rings were tasteless and they forgot to put the cheese on my burger. When the waitress eventually came to ask if all was ok with the meals we said no. She admitted that the chargrill does overcook the food, but said she would have a word with the kitchen. She returned saying that when I come in next time, I should tell them that I'd had a bad experience before, because "they usually make sure you are ok if they know you've had a bad time before" That's just not good enough for me! Wasn't offered any reimbursement, even though we left half of our meals. Won't be returning!

The staff were very friendly and helpfull. However this was the highlight of the visit. Some of the cutlery had obviously managed to escape the washing process. One of our meals (mixed meat on a skewer) arrived lukewarm and, when asked to change it, the waitress was happy to oblige. By the time the replacement came the rest of our party had finished our meals and the person in question was most embarrased as we all sat and watched as she ate hers. The handles on the toilet doors had, obviously, not been cleaned as we were there at the start of lunch and they were grimy and sticky. I had to go back into the toilet and re wash my hands and use a wad of loo paper to touch the doors. Will not be returning.

after ordering our meal it out came hot sizzling .very pleased with our main and we even had pudding which we was also pleased with

I do not understand some of the poor reviews for this restaurant as we have eaten here many times since it opened as the Village Green and have never been disappointed.Our last visit (today) was to celebrate our Fourtieth Wedding Anniversary and have to say the restaurant and the staff did us proud once again.There were eighteen of us eating and the level of service and the quality of food was outstanding.All eighteen meals were served within minutes of each other so no one was left waiting while everyone else was eating. As I said the quality of every meal was outstanding and the waitress that looked after us worked so hard to ensure that we were all happy.I would not have a moments hesitation in recommending this restaurant to anybody so thanks to everyone at the Village Green for making a special day even better. Will definitely be back for second helpings.

Me and my 2 friends decided to visit here after we heard good reviews. We ordered 2 chicken new yorker grills, we both dislike bbq sauce to wanted peri peri and chilli bourbon, we had to pay an extra £1.29 because of this. The chicken was slightly dry and overcooked, we could barely taste the sauces, and for the price there was the smallest amount on there! The veg on the sizzler consisted of onions and peppers, the onions were very watery and soggy, they tasted of nothing and were very off putting, the peppers were in tiny pieces and there wasn't a lot. My other friend had a chicken burger with salad, except it came with chips, the chips looked dry and over cooked. We all agreed this would be a place we wont return to as we believe first impressions say a lot.

it was our first visit and was abit unsure as i read a mixed reviews but all the family went here last night and the food was really nice service was great no complaints from anyone and will be going back again soon

First visit to this place for my sons birthday yesterday, seems nice inside but after ordering expensive drink £3 for an orange juice and lemonade and then ordering food of Sunday roast beef , I was presented with what looked like a boil in the bag slices of meat and dried out florets iof cauliflower and limp shreds of carrots !! The meat had no flavour and looked like dog food to be honest! And I'm not a fussy eater but I have my limits!, After some deliberation on whether to complain I was encouraged to do so by the party I was with. The staff to be honest were great offered me free drink and anything else I fancied trying out on their menu to eat so I opted-for the steak thinking you can't go wrong with a steak!, how wrong I was!! After waiting for everyone else to finish I had to go up and complain again as my second meal had not arrived , there again I was offered more drinks on the house though I wasn't bothered about that I simply wanted my meal and my party not to sit there and wait whilst I ate mine and they sat there twiddling there thumbs! So after stating this to the manageress she offered them free drinks whilst I had my dinner arrive.The second dinner that came was better though the steak was extremely over done ..burnt to be honest! But I thought ive waited ages for that and I couldn't complain again!!, so I ate it with the help of maynoise !!, The manageress did however remuiburse the meal , but even so to be honest the chef needs sacking or retraining as he clearly cannot cook anything other than chips and beef burgers !!This was a very disappointing visit and I certaining will not be visiting this place again!!

went to village green with the fiance, sister and her mate. gorgeous food and good service. I had the flaming grill challenge n couldnt eat it all it was huge. also had the 24 ghost chilli winga now im paying the price for that. overall excellent.

was excited to see what it was like since its reopened as i used to go here years ago. the refurb is good (although i dont like the orange colour), but staff were lazy and unhelpful, food was mediocre, the lager was almost flat within minutes. overall was quite disappointed. i did go aain just in case maybe that had been an 'off' night, but second visit was about the same. won't be bothering again.

Waiting time average of about 40 mins to an hour today - not acceptable we felt. We ordered a porky pig grill which was slightly overcooked. The roast beef Sunday lunch was not as good as usual. Having ordered the 'large' version, the portion was shockingly small and tepid, so when asked how our food was, I said it was chilly and didn't feel the portion was very good. The waitress apologised and returned with a few more roast potatoes, some extra sprouts, carrots and loads of peas! It had obviously been nuked in the microwave, so was warmer. We let them off with the overcooked pork. The staff are helpful and usually the food is good value. I don't think we will bother with going there again on a Sunday, as there are other places who provide better food at similar prices, with much better service.This place is better when quiet such as lunch time or early evening. They cannot cope when busy.

Newly opened restaurant in Stockland Green Erdington. Refurbished to a very high standard. Super menu containing a wide variety of meals. We both went for the porky pig grill and to say it was a lovely meal is a bit of an understatement. Beautifully prepared Pork, Gammon, Sausages, Ribs and all the trimmings. A stupendously satisfying meal. Only had to short wait for the meal which was served by a very pleasant and friendly waiter. Dessert was really nice too. This was our third visit in as many weeks and we will definitely be going back for more. Don't understand the negative reviews submitted by others. Think they must have been having a bad day or be reviewing a different restaurant. We have nothing but praise for both the venue, the staff and the quality of food. Lovely place.

Went here early on a Saturday night, staff were very friendly and helpful. Food came quickly and was exactly as I ordered (complicated order) steak was perfectly cooked and good quality.

Was feeling hungry at three o'clock in the afternoon so thought we would try The Flaming Grill. Staff friendly , meal crap. Drinks ok.

Got to be the worse place i have ever been too went a couple of weeks ago with family and left utterly angry, my sis in law ordered the steak stating to the barmaid no tomatos and no mushrooms after waiting an hour for our food her steak come out with a tomato on it ok no worries we can push it to the side only to find the had put mushrooms under the steak now bearing in mind we had already told them they took the dish and scraped them off leaving the mushroom juice all over the steak, my sis in law has a mushroom allergy so this was not good enough as could of been fatal for her so while we are all eating our food she is still waiting and had to eat on her own, while they had rectified this mistake eventually we ordered our pudding what a disaster after bringing the pudding out we were left half an hour for another pudding which never came at all after getting really angry at this point we told them to forget it 1 mistake is forgivable but for 2 in a space of 1 sitting is utterly disgusting while we spent at lot of money in there i would expect better the barmaid and waiting staff were pleasurable but the kitchen staff are very incompetent and sound like they need training again or replacing! !

Had a meal at this pub b4 a Aston villa football game .did pick this pub as it was near football stadium but not to near as we didn't want a rowdy football pub! ! We made a good choice! On arrival we greeted by friendly bar staff the decor is nice & comfy! The meal itself was good. My wife had blue steak which she was happy with! I tried the trash can challenge which tasted good but was a bit too much for me. Would recommend!

Have been to this pub twice now, it's my local as well as the H's at bottom of Marsh Hill where the food, sadly, isn't great. The Village Green however is a big pub, with nice decor (mainly cos it's new I guess but it's quite funky). The menu is massive and can be a little daunting as you can change things round and add this and that on but basically, the food is cooked to order, it's hot, tasty and filling. It's not a gastro pub or steak house or gourmet dining establishment but then you aren't paying for that sort of food, so it's a good place to go for a bit of dinner, it's got a nice atmosphere and you won't break the bank eating here.

Went to visit this pub as it had been a Chinese restaurant. It was beautiful great value and beautiful decor friendly atmosphere definately go again.

We had a lovely lunch with all the family. There were 4 children who were all given crayons and colouring sheets as well as their own menu's. They catered for GF . The service was prompt and the food was piping hot. The staff couldn't have been more helpful in providing us with a table for 12 without and warning. Would definiately go again. Reasonably priced.

This is my 3rd time to this pub, and after having two poor meals previously there I thought I would give it one last try. I had the codfather (Fish & Chips). Fish was nicely cooked but absolutely tasteless, the bread on the side wasn't fresh - Only nice part of the meal were a few of the chips and the peas.Can't see it being open much longer - Shame because the staff are so nice & helpful.

Visited a week after it opened at 4pm on a Saturday and was suprised at the standard of food which arrived very quickly and all of which was hot!! Tried again 6.30pm on Thursday to find the same quality of food and again hot, with again a reasonable wait. Which was quite suprising considering all the reports of lengthy waiting times for food which we did not experience at all.A couple of reluctant negatives in that i had grilled gammon which was excellent except it was placed on a bed of grease swimming onions & soggy mushrooms which was a shame.The other negative was the poor toilet standard, poor fitting toilet seats & grubby doors. I would return but clean your loos up a bit please!

visited as part as a party of 12. was pre-booked but the table was not sorted properly before hand. Took a good 15 minutes for the kitchen / waiting staff to simply put a couple of tables together. None of the staff had a clue on what to do as no managers were on duty or we not interested if they were on duty. The toilets were dirty and there was toilet paper all over the floor. A member of staff came in looked at it then decided playing on his phone was more important. Had the large mixed grill but didn't seem particularly large and whilst satisfactory not really worth the money, Then came to order the deserts and took ages as the staff didn't seem to know what was available and what wasn't. Half the deserts came the others didn't even arrive as by then they had realised they were not available any more or perhaps were given to other people as they were so disorganised. All in all a total shambles and seeing this place was suppose to have re-opened lately looks like it as not been decorated or cleaned properly for a long time.

This pub has become my local since its opening, yes there were teething issues and I don't think they realised the numbers of diners to descend the premises, and yes there were waiting for meals but they always told us before we ordered which meant we could go somewhere else. The staff are becoming more experienced and with that comes confidence and confidence breeds friendliness opposed to nervousness being mistaken for bad staffing, most of the waiting and serving staff were greenhorns and we felt their nervousness on occasions, myself and my wife find the place very engaging and the Management team are seen to be very experienced and professional, the comment about the staff is like as though its a different pub to the one I and my wife visit, the food I agree can be a bit hit or miss but generally it is good quality and good portions, we have had a few meals and there is lots of choice at good prices, but I suppose if you want Marco Pierre White you pay the prices, overall I think it is an excellent friendly spacious local we think is great and will only get better

Oh dear, plenty of very pleasant front of house staff couldn't fault them, a shame there were no staff in the kitchen, the food awful, fish and chips with bread and butter the sides had been left under lights so long the bread and butter was toast the mushy peas concrete the fish dry as a witches t*t, the beef dinner the beef strange shape like it was out of a tin raw carrots again far to long under the lights and the lamb nuked out of existence raw veg no gravy just all round bad food this place will go bust before they learn how to cook.

Me and my family visited august the 30th the overall look of the resturant was very nice but the staff really need to be trained better they ignore you to serve there regulars when we ordered food we were told we had to wait 45 minutes for our meal so we agreed to wait but the food was awfull and we had to ask 3 times for the table to be cleared so over all i would not recommened

We have just come back from here. On ordering they told us it was a 40 minute wait for food,which we felt was ok. An hour later I went to ask about our food and was eventually told it would be another ten minutes and was given free drinks because of the delay. When the food came it was ok. We had 4 Sunday lunches and they were ok but the gravey was very thin. I think if this pub is going to compete with pubs such as the weather spoons it needs to up its game in both service and quality. While we were there lots of people were complaining about the long wait for food.

Visited yesterday as recently opened, big clean open space inside with plenty of tables & seating areas, found our own table to sit at, no staff approached us whatsoever so decided what food we want & ordered at the bar, the chap behind the bar was friendly enough but became quickly obvious he had still not learned to pull a pint, the website shows a healthy amount ales but in reality is John Smiths, Doombar & the usual lagers, the menu looks rather promising, you can definitely see the "man v food" influence, we had the new York chicken & the chilli burger doubled-up, with 2 drinks & side orders of pulled pork & mushrooms, just over £22.00 so price wise not bad, the chicken came after about 20 mins & the staff member said the chilli burger was coming straight out! it didn't, 9 mins later it appeared & then the side orders, the chicken comes on a sizzling skillet & the burger on a chili shaped piece of wood, I would rather have had a plate as the meat juices went everywhere. the food? well yes it was a good size portion but there was something missing, flavour! the chicken was cooked but just tasted of "nothing" & my burger just the same, filling, but flavour was non existent, the pulled pork side order came in a bowl & was just pale & anaemic, no taste their either, the garlic mushrooms were ok though as they did taste of mushrooms. the waitress came to clear up & was really apologetic so good on her, I think she had heard the same concerns elsewhere, I think if you just want large amounts of food that doesn't taste of anything to soak up your Carling then this is for you, not me but thanks anyway.

Newly opened Village Green on the corner of Steetly Road (Erdington) and Marsh Hill offers food and drink and sports. When we went it was quite busy with a good amount of families to balance those there to play pool or watch football. It is a pub order set up with you going to the counter and giving table numbers. There seemed to be a fair number of staff but it took 10 minutes for someone to ask us if we wanted sauces for our ordered food and then another 10 minutes for someone to offer my daughter a colouring activity while she waited.Featuring standard pub type fair but with a few extras. As part of the Flaming Grill chain there are steaks on offer, some dishes for those who like it HOT (ghost pepper sauce) and even a few man VS food challenge dishes which if you manage to finish gets you a pic on the wall of fame.We tried the Beef Pie with Mash, Sweet Chili Chicken and Bacon wrap with chips and Chipolata burrito with yellow rice and a selection of sauces. All of what we tried was a good size but we did see some extremely large dishes being served to other tables so if you are someone with a bug appetite this could be a place to go.The beef pie was a good size and the mash was a reasonable portion. the Sweet Chili Chicken wrap was generous enough the chips were not really needed. It had big pieces of chicken breast inside but my daughter did not like the bacon so took it out. The burrito was nicely presented with a dollop of guacamole, sour creme and salsa on top. It had a nice flavour but I might have liked it a bit spicier. The yellow rice tasted of nothing - yellow rice suggests the presence of something but really it was just plain rice that looked yellow.The desserts we tried were the Cookie Dough Cheesecake - was rich and I liked but hubby said it was too sweet. Profiteroles which were presented in a pyramid shape with ice cream on top - they tastes fine but seemed quite cold so may have been the ice cream or they may have been previously frozen. Finally the treacle sponge with custard - this was quite sweet but quite nice.Overall the value for money is fairly good, and there is a fair to choose from but the quality of food is what I would consider middle -pleasant but nothing special. Maybe if they offered the spicy chicken wings in a human size (there is only one size of 24 on menu) I might be more tempted. If you wanted some where to watch the game have a drink and be able to get OK food this would work.
