Top place, well run place on Broad St.

Utter horror show. Incompetent door staff have made this place a miserable experience. More brawn than brain cells. Much of Broad St is poor but O Bar Birmingham is another level of bad. Folks, there's a reason WHY this place has TWENTY FIVE one star rated reviews on TripAdvisor. Don't make the same mistake as us. Spend your money elsewhere.

Low quality place. There was nobody there until we turned up but did get busier later. Bouncers had attitude & drinks were super pricey for the area. One to avoid.

Grotty place where your shoes will stick to the floor. Terrible place to spend an evening. Door staff are very rude. The area is a mixed bag but there are so many better options. Go to Brindley place & broad st but I implore you don’t visit O Bar. Saturday night & there was a guy offering free shots (with a caveat that you buy a regular drink)

Bar staff extremely rude security rude and miserable attempted to get in here to watch the England match every bar on broad street was packed to capacity but this one which was strange saw the miserable faces on the security and there attitude then the bar staff clearly why I walked in and walked out they will loose a lot of money on a day like this Managment sort it out .

Stopped by for a late night drink. The bar was very quite, and the music a little too modern. Your bags will be searched before you can enter. Prices are not to high.

My band (The Journeymen) Played the O Bar on Sunday 3rd December 2024. I’ve never felt more relaxed in a bar, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, the audience were fantastic, it’s a great bar with a great atmosphere. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I looked at reviews from 4-5 years ago and have to balance them with my very positive experience this week Feb 2024. Four of us visited the regular music event `Tuesday is Blues-day`run by Henrys Blueshouse who have started using the venue for their events. A busy venue full of lovely people having fun and really appreciating the live music. A great buzz in the centre of Brum for a Tuesday night! We had a great evening and found the door staff and bar staff very polite cheerful and helpful. A nice little venue that is actually supporting real live music (not just the generic backing track karaoke/ tribute cat tedium) Actual real LIVE MUSIC. Awesome night, great vibe. Definitely recommend supporting these music events and kudos to the O bar for promoting them.

One of my friends pointed outside, it resulted in a man throwing his drink and cup at us all because we pointed at Rosie’s. The blunders were no help and couldn’t have cared less despite the fact that we did nothing: awful venue, wouldn’t return

I went to O Bar for Halloween weekend with my friends and we had a time😊. O bar was the first bar on Broad Street on the corner. We were offered free entry and a free shot which wasn't too shabby. There was a good selection of drinks and the facilities (toilets etc) were kept in good condition. There was a female DJ who was amazing, she played a good selection of songs which kept me dancing the whole night. My friend had come down from London and in all honesty I intended on giving her a bar hop experience along Broad Street but the vibe was so sweet that we never left. I Would recommend visiting, it wasn't my first time here and it won't be my last😁

The dj played a mix of alot genre, the staff are great, and the security present made me feel relaxed. The energy is electrifying.

Yea it's ok , very very small and the lack of space can be an issue but the vibes are always good in there and the bar seems to flow quickly

Excellent venue to go out to, Staff (inc) Door Staff are very professional in their positions. Welcoming & friendly which makes the world of difference on your night out. Really cool vibe in the place. Will definitely go again. There's a DJ apparently playing but with all those modern decks it's difficult to tell. In my day it was only vinyl music, anyway we had a good night so I highly recommend you trying this place out... thank you to the Management...

I've been living in Birmingham for 9 years and this one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a Birmingham bar. Went with some friends, spent £5 cover to get in, ordered a couples drinks and took a few minutes to to relax away from the dance floor before dancing. In the meantime, I was accused of "falling asleep" by the zealous door staff and FROG MARCHED OUT like a criminal while my friends were dancing. If you avoid the plague or COVID, avoid this horrible venue at all costs. The door staff will treat you like a convict.

Went on Sunday night and the bar staff were lovely! Really friendly. The DJ however told me to ‘f*ck off’ when I asked him about music. I may have been a bit annoying but being so vile to me was out of order. If you can’t deal with people then keep your Spotify playlist at home!

We popped into this bar on Saturday 22nd February 2020 in the afternoon with a group of female friends. It was a very pleasant atmosphere in the bar, with just a few groups of people enjoying the music. We ordered the very appealing cocktails and sat down to enjoy them. Unfortunately as soon as I needed the toilet my opinion changed! I ventured down the stairs to the toilets and was disgusted with the peeling wallpaper, blocked toilets and general grubbiness of the area. Had I seen this area first I certainly wouldn't have ordered cocktails!!! Yak!!!!!

we were told we would receive 241 upon entry which we did however they also doubled the price of the beer we got, since when was heineken £6 a pint. When disputed the bartender asked us all if we were broke, what kind of bartender asks this. the place also stunk of puke and beer, we finished our overpriced beers and left.

Came here with the other half for a few cocktails when my nose got hit by a terrible wiff of puke and stale beer. Me and the other half decide to wait it out but the stench got to me so we hop,skipped and legged it out of there.

Ibrahim was fabulous from the get go, he made fabulous cocktails and made us laugh and feel welcome. He is why we stayed and didn’t go anywhere else, this guy is a legend!!!

We visited O Bar for drinks on a Saturday afternoon we had a jug of Pink Gin Venom which was great, I had not been in O Bar for years it had been renovated and they have done a great job.

We attended the cocktail masterclass last night with Ibraham (I hope I have spelt his name right) We had the best night and Ibraham was brilliant. He was so accommodating and a really excellent host. It was well worth the money and the set up and room was great. We all had a great time and the hen had the best night.

Violent door staff ,very unhelpful management , replied to.complaint once with saying he would investigate it and get back to ,after numerous emails no reply. Although looking on google reviews ,this isn't the 1st incident with door staff assaulting patrons

Spent the evening in O bar , at the end of night we were served a drink , before I even got a chance to take a mouthful the doorman snatched it out of my hand and told us to get out that the bar was closed.. fair enough if they were closing , but why serve us literally 1 minute before! The group I was with were walking out the door when the doorman shoved me from behind, straight into the door frame.. it was a horrendous way to treat any patron. I contacted the o bar afterwards regarding the issue to which I never got a reply. I managed to track down the manager , Al Rippin, so I emailed him and he got back and said he would investigate and get back to me , that was last March,we are now in July and still no reply after numerous emails. Shocking treatment of their customers and shocking customer service.. I will include a picture of the lovely customer friendly door staff .. avoid this premises at all costs , I see I wasnt the only one with trouble from the door staff, seemingly is common practice form the door staff in O bar to assault customers for no reason

We were on our way to a nice bar in Broad Street in Birmingham on Saturday when the guy in the street told us they did 2 4 1 cocktails so we wondered in, but spent 25 mins at the bar and didn’t get served, so I left. Maybe I’m just not their type of customer.

Avoid this bar to save money.We booked a table for last night through groupon. The manager contacted me to confirm.We arrived and was told kitchen closed Mondays but we could buy a drink if we wanted !!! Had to leave as barman totally uninterested.Went elsewhere for food even though had already paid for this.They advertise on groupon deal sun-thurs which is rubbish.

Came here recently as a mid-size group, we were lured in by the BOGOF cocktails, of course the place was very busy and there wasn't really enough staff to serve in a timely manner, especially considering making cocktails can be slow anyway. The place actually stank, I believe there may well be a sewage issue lurking below the surface which may soon come to a head.

Had a great night out in Birmingham last night, every bar was great with the exception of the O bar! Me and my mate were drinking gin and tonics all night and the O bar was the only place that only gave me 1 tonic for two gins, when asking where the others tonic was the rude women working behind the bar told me I had to buy another tonic, when saying that shouldn’t be the case and that no other bar in Birmingham had done that I got the rudest response I’ve ever had from a member of staff and the drink tasted like poison as well! Would recommend people to stay clear of this place, sh*t drinks and staff are complete tw*ts!

Me and my friend went to celebrate New Years and one of the guys seemed so lovely by giving us two free shots twice. However he told my friend to go in the staff room she said no. Then a random man in a black top with a red logo on it came and grabbed her. At first I thought they were going to dance and he was a little drunk but then they disappeared. I went to check as I was very suspicious and I caught him trying to feel her up. She was trying to push him off and he wouldn’t let her go. He then noticed me there and stopped and asked who I was. I took her back and complained to one of the girl staff members and she said he actually works there. She told us she would sort it out but me and my friend feel like it hasn’t been mentioned. So I wouldn’t recommend this place at all especially when this place thinks okay for their staff members to sexually assault customers!

El anuncio fue sobre él dijo que sólo el lunes y martes (para disparos). Muy decepcionado y nos sentimos engañados y presionados para luego comprar las bebidas. Como estudiantes no tenemos mucho dinero, así que era un verdadero amortiguador en la noche. Los menús eran asquerosas y pegajosas. Ah, y ¿por qué no tienes dos cócteles diferentes en el 241 ofrecen cuando son literalmente todas el mismo precio? ? ? No me impresionó. No se viene aquí. Le aconsejo a la gente que no molesta a nadie.

En una noche de sábado me fui a comprar bebidas o bar, para mis dos amigos y yo nos bajamos nuestras maletas en la cabina de DJ y comenzó a bailar, a pesar de que no hay nadie más baile, mis dos amigos y yo divirtiéndose. Decidí ir hacia la cabina de DJ y pide tunr la música, sin Dj, así que fue alrededor de fingir que mis amigas que me estaba convirtiendo a la música. El DJ salió de la nada y físicamente me empujaba, y casi se cayó al suelo. Me preguntó qué está pasando y dijo que tenía que salir, él gritando en mí abuso y decirme que me deje mientras físicamente presionando hacia la salida. Le dije a mis amigos y mi bolsa de adentro y mi abrigo hay así, él me ignoró que intenté decirle que no hacer nada mal. Me las arreglé para conseguir mi abrigo y la bolsa y tuve que salir de inmediato. Le pregunté a la tenían porteros que eran increíblemente amables para hablar con el gerente. Salio en un periodo corto de tiempo y me explicaron la situación, pero él no me permitió volver dentro. Él comparó el incidente a alguien entrar en un banco y tocar el dinero que sería un delito. Yo personalmente no lo toque la cabina de DJ, pero fue reír con mis amigos y fingió y abuso físico recibido desde el DJ. Nunca he sido tan maltratada por la noche o en un club. Fui para una copa y físicamente empujado por el DJ tres veces y me dijeron que 'F' nunca se me introduce de nuevo. El director no se solidarizarán y regañando en lugar de el DJ que físicamente me empujaba, me dijo que no sería permitido, ten en mente que no tenían una sola bebida hasta que entramos en el bar o; no estaba borracho o en lo más mínimo. Trato espantoso para el gerente de abuso físico y el Dj

Vine aquí para un par de copas, ya que parecía un buen lugar para ir pasó la medianoche. Sirvieron bebidas enseguida, buen ambiente con personas de diferentes grupos de edad. Bien, yo tenía hambre y otros lugares vecinos hacían mucho ruido y poco atractiva. Por lo menos aquí la música era más tranquilo y no había mujeres gritar. Yo pedí un "sucio perro" y "sucia" (sí, patatas fritas!), que eran bastante sabrosa aunque demasiado salados para mi gusto. Creo que este debe ser un lugar para beber en vez de comer como mis pies tenía pegados a la alfombra cuando yo me levanté para salir. No comimos mal, pero un poco caro para lo que era, es mejor caminando por la calle a esa hamburguesa lugar he revisado la semana pasada.

Being served a gin and tonic on a shot glass and being ignored by the barmaid that served me when i tod her that thats not a gin and tonic , plus the attitude of the barman and barmaid of ignoring me for pointing out the fact that gin and tonic are not served in a shot , disgusting beahviour in a disgusting place.
