Excellent service from Jane & Sue. Food was great and cheap for a family of 4. I always have a good time here and the staff make it very welcoming

Truly bad The priorslee is very much an estate pub with frequented by people who don't care about quality. The pub is often packed and this occasion was no different. The staff are poorly trained or not trained at all. They decided to stop serving people at the bar and ordered everyone to queue at one of the 3 tills!!! I politely pointed out I wasn't ordering food, just more drinks and was informed I had to go to the back of the 9 deep queue with everyone who was ordering food. Needless to say we left. If you can't run a pub, please don't get a job where you practice doing so. Btw the food is bland and expensive for the quality

Staff were on top of everything and was all round a good atmosphere and experience, The manager on during the game was making sure everything was done. Would 100% come again and recommend any one and their dog to come!

Food was excellent and very hot staff are so pleasant and always smiling so well done to you all, will return again with family and friends

Can’t fault this pub,staff service excellent, especially Katie nothing was to much trouble for them. food was served with aplomb. Presentation of food was on point. Would highly recommend coming to this establishment will definitely come back. On a plus side on a Sunday there is a quiz night as well.

So from the start I have loved this place for many years and visited so many times last summer to drink and dine in the garden, but something has changed and sadly not for the good! We visited on Saturday 11th of May on a beautiful hot and sunny afternoon what could be better than sitting in the Priorslee beer garden for lunch and some beers & wine? After finding a table the family on the next table said to our group said laughing I hope you have bought a sandwich from home? as you won't be eating out here in the sun, he went on to explain that he queued at the bar with his order to be told that the Pub no longer serves food outside but he could take drinks "WHAT" or is it just me? Anyway to check thing for myself I ventured inside which was red hot and so tatty and run down, but upon spotting a large bar que and just one poor person serving we decided to give up and go to a more professional establishment. As I stated at the beginning we have always loved this place but now gone down hill considerably, such a shame.

We come here every Wednesday to do our paperwork whilst having a bite to eat and a drink. Must say the staff are lovely. They all go above and beyond. We mainly get served by Suzi, Janey & Stevie, although the odd occasion a different staff member is on, they are also in the same ilk as the others. We always have a great meal, cooked well and great portions, and it’s relaxed and friendly throughout the pub. Ive never been here and not welcomed with a smile, and we always leave feeling we have had great value for money. Definitely worth coming for a lunch when you are looking for a good meal that’s served quickily. Thankyou to all the team that makes doing our dreaded paperwork that bit easier 👍🏻

pub located next to lake where every human walks there dogs and maybe stops by the pub to get food at this pub... nothing out of the ordinary here... the tables outside numbered and its a sunny bank holiday monday no wind no wet no reason to not be outside.. you would think they would be serving food outside knowing how stuffy and overpopulated it was inside because it was rammed.. there suggestion was for us to bring our dogs inside where other dogs in there might not get along with my dogs but thats fine as long as they can control us its weird its sunny and nice weather why am i being forced to sit inside with my animals and what was the reason they couldnt bring the food outside again?? its 10 metre further and the door from kitchen is right next to outside its actually less distance to bring the food out instead .. its sunny what are we doing here its not raining its my life i can sit where i want with my food that i pay for? why are we making it awkward and throwing away £70 worth of family food just because you cant be bother to walk 10metre in the other direction doesnt make any logical sense from a business perspective and after being refused service now i wonder how many people have been refused service because they wanted to eat outside on a sunny day hahahah anyway.. lesson learnt dont support your local business because they dont want to make any money or act as a business whatsoever probably the council restricting them or just petty excuses or laziness overall 1 star very dissapointing cant sit in the beer garden on a hot day with my food WOW if your understaffed i know hire more staff you would of made more money and been able to pay the staff by catering to customer who want to eat outside on a hot day that you refused??? just a thought for anyone with any concious human who is business minded would of catered knowing how much money they lost and im sure the bartender / manager who told me doesnt have a clue about business ethics thats why he turned away family of 5 with money ready to spend.. discusting

Me and my husband came to this restaurant on 28th April 2024 after visiting it a few times previously. We arrived at just gone 12pm for some lunch, we were seated by one of the waitresses on number 18 but were told we had to leave by 2pm as they had a table booked. I ordered a millionaire burger and my husband ordered the southern state spice at the till at around 12:20pm. When the food arrived (12:50pm-1pm) after digging in my husband realised that his burger which should have been a chicken burger was in fact a beef burger. We had already waited a while for the food and due to my husband already had started eating it, he didn’t want to return it and cause a scene and be any trouble to anyone and also he wanted us to both eat together, and the fact that we were told we had to give the table up by 2pm which meant he would of had to rush his food if he had of returned it. When the waitress came over to check that everything was ok with the food, I told her about the issue and that my husband had received the wrong item that he had ordered, she apologised and said she would be back after speaking to her manager. At this point the restaurant had started getting busy and well, we never seen the waitress again to resolve the issue, we wasn’t even offered for the burger to be replaced with the correct one, which the offer would of atleast been nice. No manager approached our table, no other waitress approached our table. In fact we were sat their for a extra 20 minutes after we had finished our meal waiting for someone to atleast clear our plates from the table but it was as if they avoided our table completely as their was several waitresses/managers that walked past us after we had finished. Even when we were leaving, we walked past the same waitress who we had raised the issue with and she didn’t even say bye. We started eating here regular the year as it’s our local pub/restaurant and we find it very relaxing and the customer service to be amazing but today was really awful and felt like we were completely ignored after raising a issue. If this is the type of customer service you receive after the staff have made a mistake and you politely raise it with them, I will not be returning again.

Came for my son's 14th birthday, family celebration so 14 of us. I rang the day before to book the table & the lady I spoke to (Lucy) was very attentive & polite. I did make everyone pre-order as just easier as everyone can digest the menu at ease & I know how hard it can be sometimes with a big party. We did make a couple if amends when we arrived this evening, but the staff were more than helpful with this. The food was fab, came out hot & very tasty- every one of us were so pleased. So just wanted to say thank you to all the staff for making my son's birthday an enjoyable one. Keep up the good work 👏

Hey firstly I just want to point out that this year I have lived in priorslee for 25 year and the priorslee lodge is my local pub this whole time . The current staff are very loyal and kind people . Past and present and always had a very good rapport with them and they are trying to do their best to hit the Green King expectations. But I will say that there a few downfalls to this, being under staffed and having to run like crazy to be able to serve all the customers that come through. Grateful to Ungrateful customer they do what they can, But I do really think it's time for a change . The whole place is very out dated and in need of a full revamping. When I first moved to the area me and my family would come up and sit in the beer garden and be able to look out over the lake. Now it's just overgrown and muddy to enter the pub. With the price of drinks and food going up , you would expect for there to be a more of a fresher modern look with the amount of money that you have to spend in this establishment. Will also point out that the place could do with more events ,sport promotions !and sport activities in the venue. Seeing as darts has picked up again and people wanting something to do whist at the pub. I would strongly reonnend in putting some money back into this pub for a fresh face. Kind regards

I drove 15 miles to find the exterior of The Priorslee looking no better than the worst shed. Get inside tripping over a crumbling shreshold to find a miserable young woman on her own behind the bar. At the least she should have mentioned, as it was Friday, that there was no fish of any kind on the premises. To and fro from table as there didn’t seem to be any staff apart from the young woman. Ordered the gammon for two, which was nice. The other two ladies went for the beef and ale pie. So much pastry, they dragged the inside of it onto the plate, one had 3 tiny pieces of meat the other exactly 6 pieces. They did say the gravy was a lovely flavour. Then to top it off drinks. Soft drinks ok, we wanted water also, that was to help ourselves, the glasses stuck to the tray, picked out two that were stacked and they were all filthy. The tables were dirty and I don’t even want to mention the cobwebs. The toilets seemed ok apart from a seat falling off. Seemed clean and modern. Stupidly I paid for this not wanting to make a scene. Never again. When I think how lovely it was years ago with the name Priors Lodge. Now it’s Greene King…get it sorted. Kathryn, Shrewsbury.

Had 2 steak meals and the steak was un edible full of sinu , had a bad steak a few weeks ago but thought we'd give it another go , wish we hadn't bothered

I found that it use to be really hit and miss here but me, my partner and little boy gave it another chance early last year and now try to come at least once or twice a month now, the food and service is great I think the lady that normally serves us is called Jane she’s really welcoming and always attentive to everyone’s needs.

Found a tree in my burger, added a lot of flavour. Chips tasted like mushy pees and coke tasted like sweetcorn. Amazing and i enjoyed it very flavour full!

Went for a meal after school, food was very good, tasty, arrived quickly. Served by Janie who we thought was excellent, very friendly, polite, efficient. Nothing was to much trouble. Credit to the pub. Would recommend and will return.

Where to start.... We were shown to our table. There were 8 of us for a birthday meal. Pub was unusually quiet for a Thursday or so, I thought from past experience here. This place is in desperate need of a refurb.. We were shown to our table, which was underneath a mouldy ceiling, We waited for my nan to arrive before ordering. As she cane up the step. She held onto what she thought was a bannister, which infact was the cutlery/sauce cupboard. There was a nail sticking out, which then cut her finger, She got to the table bleeding. I went to the bar to explain this avoidable incident. I was handed some blue paper towel and a plaster. No offer of help or a health and safety write-up. Next thing, a member of staff came out with a hammer and tapped away at the shape object until it was flush. The lack of care was disgusting. No offer of a drink or an apology. The young staff members also need some customer service experience as it showed it was too much effort to do anything. The meals are not as good as I have experienced here before. I presume new management over the last 18 months or so. Due to the change of atmosphere and quality. The scampi meal is definitely not worth the money, so avoid that. I had a lasagne. Burnt around the edges. Lack of presentation with all meals. I know this might be a minor cut to your company, but this is a 75 year old woman who very rarely gets to go out due to her disabilities and mobility. Which left her in pain!! The general quality of your establishment, food & your staff's attitude of indifference to our discomfort is frankly unacceptable and effectively ruined what should have been a lovely evening.

Booked a buffet to follow a funeral. Staff were kind and attentive and the food and drinks were very good. We were allotted a separate raised area so we had some privacy from other guests.
