Amazing pies at reasonable prices!

Fantastic pies. I must say the mash isn't to my liking but that's personal preference. Keep an eye out for the specials!

Delicious pie and mash with a good portion size! We had the Canary pies, which had a nice kick to it, with mushy peas, mash and gravy.

I’ve tried almost every pie on the menu from steak and ale to the vegan options and they are, without exception, superb. The only downside is that after tasting Flaming Galah pies, any other pies are a disappointment!

Absolutely brilliant pies, amazing flavours and love popping in to try something new, even though it’s hard to stay away from my favourite; The Auzzie Bonza.

I don’t usually like pies - not my thing… but THESE pies are the BEST. Amazing fillings, massive chunks of meat (for chicken pies). The mash is also the best, with delicious gravy and mushy peas. I do wish they were more central to the city, as it limits how often I can eat here.

Been going to this place since it's opened and it's never been disappointing, always brilliant food. Come on down to Ber St and give them your money, I guarantee you will be satisfied.

Great Aussie pie shop, driven past so many times wanting to stop in and try. Very friendly behind the counter. great selection of pies but they are limited and first come first served, due to them being homemade. The pies are really good the pastry is crisp and served with mash peas and gravy. If you love the Aussies listen to the kyle and and Jackie O podcast you won't be disappointed you'll be surprised what they get away with on the kiss morning breakfast show sydney.

Have been coming here for years - used to live in London and would always try and get a pie here when visiting Norwich. Honestly the best pies I've ever had - so full of flavour, and the pastry is perfect. I highly recommend the Canary and the Flaming Gallah pies. You can phone up beforehand to pre-order/reserve the pie you want.

Best pie you’ll ever have! Favourite Nodge food stop. Great value, lovely people and talented at what they do. Always got absolutely amazing specials, but don’t let that stop you trying the whole of the rest of the menu because they’re all 🔥. Be sure to pre-order A) to ensure you get a pie as they often sell out fast, and B) to keep these legends making pies as good as they come!

The best little pie shop in Norwich. Feeling down? Then you need pie Feeling happy? Why not have a pie There is literally no feelings that a pie from Galah’s won’t improve.

I have been here a few times. Most times you will really enjoy your pie. There will be that one time when they will not have the best pies. Overall I would still recommend, it’s a nice lunch especially if you want a quick pick up as they have many pies in the display ready to go.

Absolutely banging pies! Peas mash and gravy all melt in your mouth beautifully!! Lovely selection of pies, but order ahead or get there soon as they open as they sell out FAST!

Lovely pies, friendly service, would recommend! These pies sell out of their varied flavours fast, so if you don't manage to get the kind of pie that jumps out at you from their menu, then I recommend trying one of the others and coming back another day when they may have the pie you've got your eye on. If you haven't been, go.

Found this place when on Ber Street, embarrassingly asking how long they’d been open, expecting to find out it was a new business only to find out it had been there nearly a decade. I opted for the Bonza Aussie, a cheese and steak pie with the mash, peas and gravy, it was delicious. My wife opted for The Grill; the satay chicken pie, which was equally delicious, all for £14, which I thought was more than fair.

Went along with a mate after the football and we had pre-ordered a Penang and a Canary pie, mine being the Penang. It was piping hot upon receipt and remained so until we found a bench to sit on down the road. Upon opening the box and digging in, I realised I had found the ultimate pie. The mash and peas were beautiful and when breaking into the pie through the glorious pastry, I got to the Penang filling. It was indeed the tastiest pie filling I'd ever come across and with the epic pastry, mash and peas (and a dribble of gravy), this was pure food porn. It was a fairly spicy filling which is what I wanted, and the beef was generous in portion. I'll be coming back that's for sure, to try some of their other fillings. Keep up the good work.

Nice pies, with quality ingredients

Just picked up another order of raw and part-cooked pies for the freezer, plus combo meals ready to reheat for tea for us and the in-laws. They have a delicious range of pies along with exciting specials but pre-order to avoid disappointment. Well-packaged with full instructions, not living nearby doesn't mean that you can't get your pie-fix from Flaming Galah and it's never too hot for pie! (Plus they cook-up really well in the Air Fryer!)

What can I say?? The pie with mash, peas and gravy was a lush even on a sunny day! Ample of fillings and an affordable price of £7 for the whole works. They have variety of choices which suits everyone’s palate. Oh did I say that the service was great too :)

Definitely the go to place for pies in Norwich, amazing value and genuinely probably the best pie I’ve ever had. You’ve got to pre-order or turn up very early if you want choice though as the menu sells out within an hour and a half or so!

Still the best Pie in the land! I love the variety, all pies are filled to brim with quality ingredients cooked to perfection. You can opt to add mash, mushy peas and gravy to your pie (recommended).. You can message them on facebook and reserve a pie to avoid disappointment

Today I had my first pie and OMG it was AMAZING!!! I had the Grill as a Bonza Deal and was sooooo yummy! You get loads of sauce, gravy, mushy peas and mash and the chicken pieces are very big and the pie is filled very well! Anyone who does not give this place a 5*, you are crazy. The staff were also very friendly! I ordered another 5 pies for the guys at work (Archant) and they ALL loved their pies - It's a 10/10 from us! We will be back to order more pies in 2022! Thank you! Don't support this business. The staff have no idea of customer service.

Be prepared to queue for 10 minutes then be told your food will be another 10 minutes. Won't be back.

On two separate occasions the owner of this shop has been point blank rude to me. Previously I arrived at 11.45am to find the door open but a chair in the way. Their opening times are not displayed in the shop window so I called in politely to ask "Excuse me, what time do you open please?" The owner just ignored me, so I asked again. After 30 seconds, without looking at me, he said "Not yet". I thought to give the guy a chance as we all have bad days, but... Arrived today at 12 noon, after checking their opening times online, and the shop was closed. I was looking through the door window to see if anyone was inside, when the owner / undertaker appears from around the corner, completely ignores me, and puts his key in the door. Because of social distancing I had to step back, but it felt like if I'd been in his path he would have barged me out the way. After stepping back I asked "Are you opening soon?", to which, after a solid few seconds he looks out the corner of his and snarls "YES!". I wished him good luck with that and walked off. I'm sure he doesn't give a damn, but I won't be going back to that shop again. As I drove off I did wonder how much care someone would put into the food they are making if they care so little for the people who will be eating it.

Despite working just down the road, my work colleague decided to venture down to this fabulous establishment for the first time, needlessly to say we were suitably impressed. Amazing value, great taste and perfectly presented. A no nonsense and straightforward approach to pie making. 10/10

I have eaten here for a few years now and they are without a doubt the best pies I've ever eaten. There's a different special every week which keeps it interesting i would recommend "The Grill" its a chicken Satay pie, its quite unusual but bloody lovely. They are also serving cook at home pies as well which are a great idea, they're so easy and come out great every time!

I was so pleased to be able to buy some pies to cook at home. It had been ages since I last had one from here. And wow it was so good. The grill is so delicious with just the right amount of spice. The pastry is lush.

Very pleasant staff, and great food.

I go here regularly, however as they only cook a certain amount of pies it is highly likely that sometimes they will sell out. It will take around 15 minutes to cook a fresh one, or go to their social media and you can place an order to collect. Always absolutely delicious no matter which I have ever had, but totally recommend you go for the Bonza deal with mash, peas and gravy!!

I'm Australian so I absolutely had to eat here while spending a week in Norwich visiting friends, I was a little disappointed that I didn't get any fanfare with my accent but the food was still great

Excellent selection including some unexpected recipes. Our daughter throughly enjoyed her vegan pie and Match was lovely, I had mine just with mushy peas but most had with mashed potatoes, peas and gravy. Excellent value for money

Thanks again guys for another fantastic taste experience. We decided to take pies home to eat instead of eating in house today. We had a grill and an Aussie deluxe, reheated them with M&S mash and fresh veggies and were in pie heaven. your pies are perfect.

An unusual twist to a pie, great recipes great taste and inexpensive. Get in early they soon go.

Quality pies packed full of flavour! Been eating the pies from this joint for five years and have still not found any place that's better. They have an array of unique (personal faves are chicken satay 'Grill' and Yellow Curry 'Canary'), traditional (Creamy Chicken 'Pom' is immense) and weekly special pies. Choice of a mash, gravy and peas moat is a must, even on the non-traditional pies. Absolute bargain too!

Only been in here a handful of times and the food is awesome at a good price. Unfortunately my experience was slightly soured today when I visited at lunch. The guy serving seemed visibly put out that I'd dared interrupt whatever he was doing on his phone. He then rolled his eyes when I asked if the special was still available (as last time it had sold out, but no sign to stay this). Despite this I ploughed on knowing that the food would override the rudeness only to find they don't take card at all. Overall not very impressed. Rude staff spoil the amazing food.

Great range of very tasty sounding pies and quick service. I had the Match pie (Steak and Ale) with mash and gravy and it was very nice. Deffo going back to try more. If you're thinking of trying this place, do it, don't be a flamin' galah!

I was a regular customer here when it first opened, and some friends and I decided to return to see if they were still as good. We ended up having a ‘pie party’. I sent lots of messages via Facebook which were swiftly answered asking questions and making our order. I remembered it’s a small family run shop so to make sure we got exactly what we wanted we pre ordered. We were late collecting and they kindly waited for us. Service was excellent, and the pies are better than ever! Really delicious, full of flavoursome fillings. The gravy and peas are spot on and the mash creamy and delicious. Highly recommended. Thank you for your Aussie pies, we will all be back!

Really nice pies the only problem with this place is that the “Match Pie” - Steak & Ale is always sold out being the most popular. Been over six times and in that time only managed to purchase the “Match” twice even when I get there around 12.30pm. Very disappointed and they need to cook more of the popular pies like the match, it has really put me off this pie shop, they need to be better at supplying more of the popular pies on the day.

This is s real king amongst pies shops... Great pastry with a great choice of fillings. Goat pie weekly special was very special indeed.

Not really THAT into pies but had heard about this place and seen pictures and just had to go for the experience - they do veggie options for those who are inclined but I only eat chicken breast and was apprehensive. The peas and gravy in themselves were a wow factor and the rest was just bliss.

First time and wasnt disappointed. Went for the grill pie (thai satay chicken with peanut sauce) and it was amazing, best pie ive had. Really nice with mash and peas. Real bargain too. Can't wait for my next visit. Staff were friendly and polite too.

Unusual pie fillings, great flavours, reasonable cost and great people. It's very popular so make sure you order early. Fridays are very busy and sometimes you need to order on Thursday! You've been warned 😁 Enjoy!!

He estado tratando de venir aquí por literalmente años y finalmente lo probé. Tuve el dinkum justo que lamento sólo por la razón que tenía una tapa de puré no pastelería, pero estaba delicioso. Quería probar la galah flaming pero escuché que es bastante picante y probablemente demasiado para mí. Me encantaría trabajar a través del menú en el futuro. El personal amable y una gran zona de asientos compacta, el espacio se ha utilizado bien.

Lovely pies and excellent customer service! You can never fault it, as pies are always above standards with ample amount of filling for less than a fiver. I highly recommend The POM as my personal favourite coz it’s creamy and have just enough seasoning or go for The Match, which is a chunky beef and stout. Make sure you pre-order in advance to get the pies that you want as they always sell out so quickly. Lovely food and very nice service. Always serve the pies with a smile!

Awful customer service and awful pie. Would not recommend

Have bought pies here many times normally great but one bad pie with too much rosemary and really rude response.

My colleagues and I have been regular customers at the Pie Shop but this level of aggressive customer services is just not on... Such a shame but I don't think we'll be going there again after this. An appalling response to what was genuinely friendly feedback. Poor show from a revered local Norwich food business.

Simply glorious, wonderful, amazing, excellent. Simply pie heaven!! You may try the Bonza special. It pays to order in advance.

Love this place, great quality and great value! Few tables if you need to eat. Would only say need a wider range on drinks as just a few quite alternative options available. But you go for the pies not the cans!
