Pottergate Pantry in Norwich

We will be back!! I approached Pottergate Pantry as our usual provider couldn’t fit us in this week. Given the short notice Karl was very accommodating! We had lunch over 3 days, first day we had the sandwich, cake and fruit platter for 9ppl, the other two days we had just sandwiches for 14-16ppl. Everything was well presented on sandwich trays (that we wash and return to reuse), and labelled with allergy information. A lovely and wide variety of fillings from your classic hams, cheese, egg to a mix of chicken and seafood options. Some of the guys present on the first day were disappointed not to have cakes the following days… very reasonable price and kindly delivered as we are city centre based. Would highly recommend!

Top 3 sarnie shops in Norwich!! Definitely worth a visit, I had a chicken and bacon baguette which was delicious and my partner had a southern fried chicken wrap with added avocado which she said was amazing!

I just wanted to say thank you for your outside catering you provided at our mum's wake, held at St Faiths Centre yesterday. The food was delicious and plentiful. The gluten free and vegan options were also very appreciated. The whole process was very easy and fuss free. Would thoroughly recommend.

PP prepared and set up coffee/tea and food for my mum’s wake. From initial contact with Karl, everything from delivery/ set up/ service etc was absolutely superb. The variety of food and quality was excellent. To be fair I hadn’t really asked any questions about the food etc as had so many other things to think about with the funeral itself. The team had taken that worry away and I was so pleased with the result. I would wholeheartedly recommend this company. Thankyou Karl and the team!

Pretty good, but each to see why there was no queue here yet a queue at all three neighbouring lunch choices, but as I was short on time I grabbed a bacon and chicken baguette and a sausage roll. The baguette was good, nothing too special, the sausage roll looked great but was a Disappointment. I was pleased to see the 5 Food safety rating.

Best sandwiches / baps in Norwich. The large breakfast bap is legendary. The staff are usually miserable - but somehow it adds to my enjoyment of the food haha.

Super helpful and lovely staff. Mediterranean wrap and a burger was very nice, try asking for beetroot in your burger if you feel the urge, because it's absolutely beautiful.

As my station in life dictates, burgers are the prescribed snack but there are burgers and there are.......... Home made burgers with bacon and melting cheese amidst the Brioche bun with a most perfect Patti, Follow that with a home made millionaire shortcake and well.... I enjoyed my meal thank you gals n guys at Pottergate Pantry.

We got a delivery of cakes today which look amazing. Working our way through them and they taste great. Delivery was on time and the cakes were reasonably priced. Would recommend.

Mushroom omelette baguette is to DIE FOR!

We stopped and picked up a vegetable samosa and and mince meat pies. The gentleman who helped us was very friendly and offered us sauce. The prices are affordable and the flaky, crisp, crust on the samosa was Heavenly. We will definitely be back.

Solo me gustaría agradecerle por el excelente trabajo que realizó para el despertar de nuestra madre, el lunes en el centro comunitario de Street Faiths. Todo fue como lo hubiéramos deseado y funcionado muy bien. La comida era sabrosa fresca y abundante. No dudaría en recomendarte.

Used them again but this time for a company 'do'. The food was fab and I have to comment on the baguettes - they were absolutely gorgeous - one of those breads you cook yourself - use them at home. They worked very well. The fillings are so generous too.

A hidden gem - more choices than you can shake a stick at, but definitely traditional rather than modern sandwich bar.

In summary. Submitted an order which was accepted and replied to. After waiting 2 hours as advised the order would take 1.5 hours no food arrived. Called Pottergate Pantry who then told us that they had not even started the order and there was a communication issue with their staff. With this we cancelled the order. Did not offer any compensation in the view that we waiting 2 hours to receive nothing. Should have learnt our lesson from the previous time which took an 1.5 hours for the food to arrive. One company not to give the benefit of the doubt to. Will not be using again as very disappointing.

Great place to stop for a sandwich or lunch while in Norwich. Great choice of fillings and plenty of other items to make up a filling lunch. Situated in a very nice part of old Norwich so seating available outside in nice weather near the lanes. Nice staff and reasonably priced.

Always good for a lunchtime sandwich. Made freshly in front of you. Good quality ingredients. Great for a takeaway bite to eat.

Excellent food. I got this Mexican Chicken Sandwich this morning from Pottergate Pantry and wow, tastes amazing. I would say that's the best sandwich I have ever had in UK :) Cheers !!!

Amazing breakfasts baps and amazing prawn baps. Not the friendliest service in Norwich haha, but it weirdly adds to the experience.

I've been going to PP for 30 years. The baps are amazing! The staff are pretty rude, don't take it personally, it's adds to the vibe :)

I noticed there were deliveries on a Friday from Pottergate Pantry and asked one of the other people in the building if they did breakfast things and they confirmed they did so decided to treat myself. OMG! They delivered on this lovely old fashioned bicycle and the food was piping hot and delicious! Other people in the office envious so I think this could be a bit of a habit.

Really friendly and honest people. Paid for a drink and left it on the counter, one of the staff ran down the road to find me and give it to me. The food was great too. Thanks guys!

Having watched others enjoying their breakfast rolls in our Norwich office, I succumbed once again to one this morning. Orders placed the day before (e-mailed through) and a packed cardboard box arrived the next morning (free delivery in our radius from the Pottergate Pantry). A large granary bap was the order of the day (the breakfast special). Wrapped in tinfoil, so nice and hot. Succulent bacon (with the rind cut off), sliced sausages cooked to perfection and a fried egg complimented by just the right amount of tomato ketchup as requested. What more is required? Silence throughout the office as everyone enjoyed their freshly prepared and delivered breakfasts. Generous portions, not too dry, not at all greasy, just perfection really...The claim to fame though, must be taste, quality and consistency. Time and again the Pottergate Pantry delivers.. others have been tried.. but don't seem to compare.. well worth a try..

I have been using this great little take away for years and years...and in all those hundreds of lunches, i can honestly say that I have never been given dry bread, nor stale content. The variety is wide and although quite simple in style, the food is always fresh. The bread is a bit plastic...with fewer modern styles of bread...but for good old fashioned fresh basic lunch food, You cannot go wrong.

I have been visited here on and off for lunch for just over 2 years. Wide variety of fillings, offered with different breads/rolls/baguettes and plenty of homemade cakes to go with it! Such a clean place. Always recommend

Been on a couple of occasions but the last time the sandwich I paid £4.50 for and was on Kingsmill bread with little to no filling, was slapped on the counter by some one who looked so miserable and grunted his way through my order. Won't bother again.

Pop in here occasionally for a ham and cheese omelette roll. Very tasty and very filling! Friendly service and great value for money. Highly recommended.

Pottergate Pantry provided the food at the wake after my daughter's funeral. At a very sad time, it was wonderful to arrive at the venue to find tea and coffee ready and a delicious array of sandwiches, sausage rolls and savouries awaiting us. It took the pressure off me to enable me to chat to friends and family, and not have to worry about the catering. Full marks to a fantastic team.

We work close to Pottergate Pantry and ordered regularly bacon rolls, egg and bacon rolls, etc. These are delivered to our work place and the food is very very good. Especially with a cup of tea !!

I have been going here for years and they have never disappointed.The banter is friendly and the choice of fillings is great - salmon creole is my favourite. You get loads of filling and exactly what you want in the way of salad.deliveries are also good - excellent quality and on time.

Working in the lanes I am so lucky to have near the friendly and very efficient people as there are at the pantry.If you want to lose yourself in a BLT or save yourself for later with a healthy jacket potato then look no further.I have always been immensely pleased with the food I purchase from their happy shop.Now I'm on slimming world - the make it really easy for me with loads of choice, and they are never flumexed by my weird and wonderful requests!Don't walk by stop in and see where your stomach takes you!

The lunchtime rush at this sandwich shop is justified when you order one of their marvellous sandwiches. They make them in front of you and are reasonably priced too.I would advise either the Indigo Special or the Chili Con Carni sandwich. When they have roast meats they are awesome and the jacket potatoes are tasty too.What separates this from other sandwich shops is the quantity of fillings along with the quality. You are guaranteed to leave satiated.

Regular visitor here and have never had a bad experience, sometimes staff are a bit stroppy but most of the Time the service is great and food is always spot on

Lovely breakfast and offer a wide range of different fillings and bread! Love their vegi specials and jacket potatoes! They also do great outside catering, had a buffet for a birthday and it was great value. Would highly recommend!

I used to have a breakfast roll delivered when I worked overtime on Saturdays and they were always wonderful. sausages cooked properly, bacon not too crunchy, bread nice and fresh.

We often nip over from work to order the takeaway breakfast bap from this wonderfully friendly place. It is wonderful value for money, packed full of gorgeous sausages, bacon etc. They are quick and happy to take multiple orders. Delicious.

This family run sandwich shop has been run around for over 30 years. The large breakfast Baps and by far the best in Norwich. The prawn Bap is also delicious. There is quite a lot of different Baps on offer. They also have cheap cakes and flap jacks. Great value. The staff can be quite moody but this makes me laugh. Best hangover cure in Norwich is the large breakfast Bap.

I've lost count of the amount of food I've purchased from here, the breakfast baps are delicious and loss of options. Good jacket potatoes and fillings plus all the sandwich filings you would expect from a good sandwich shop too. They even do fish finger sandwiches. Highly recommended.

This pantry is close to work, and we get our lunch here frequently, and have been doing for years.I can quite truthfully say, I have never been offered bread that was not fresh as could be...and whilst my choice is usually the same thing...there are endless options i could have had.The guys do a good job, and have won out over rival places in the past with trumped up ideas about themselves.Job well done!
