Flames Kebab in South Norfolk

Other than the other reviews of bad food, up to a year ago, I never had a problem with them to be fair, but... about 6 months ago, my mum came to visit, and she collected a pizza...it was not a freshly made base, and was more like a Lidl pizza base (trust me I know) But the reason for this review, is the ridiculously high prices they charge now, which has totally priced me out of using them ever again, it's like a tenner for a small kebab (£3 more than other local kebab shops) kids meals are like £8.50....its actually cheaper to eat at a sit down restaurant. If the prices were in accordance to quality and local businesses, I may reconsider.

Food was cold when it arrived and the order was about 45 minutes late. Shame really becuase their pizzas aren't to bad.

Delivered earlier than expected. The food was hot and very tasty. The chilli sauce could be a bit hotter but I understand some people don’t and it’s a fine balance. Really pleased with the service. Keep it up guys

Worst pizza I’ve ever had! No taste, no cheese in the cheese stuffed crust I ordered and paid extra for, very minimal ham on the Hawaiian pizza! Got charged 45p for bag charge… it’s a pizza it gets delivered in a box!!! AWFUL!!!!!!!!!

Cold food again, 2nd time we ordered, ordered thin crust and it wasn't unless we are in America then maybe, mozzarella sticks were empty, probably overcooked, wouldn't order here if I were you, won't order again but thanks!

It was 40 minutes late so it was cold and chips were soggy and rubbery! Chicken kebabs were soggy !

Probably the worst kebab I've ever had in my life.

I ordered BBQ base I couldn’t taste any bbq so was a bit disappointed. The pizza was hot when it arrived but not much taste without the bbq sauce base.

The chicken strips were so hard couldn’t eat them. The chicken burger was very bland and flavourless.

Half of it was missing and the rest just very poor quality!!!

Pizza was actually terrible quality, worst pizza I’ve had in ages. Would avoid the pizzas at all costs.

Made order at 3pm and latest delivery time was estimated for 10 mins past 4. Got past that time and had to call the restaurant as it was saying that my food had been delivered. The food then arrived a little later and the restaurant hadn’t put any base on the pizza even though I selected bbq base. Was also dry and cold.

Food was great when we finally got it. We preordered for delivery at 3.10pm but as soon as it was accepted they changed it to 3.40pm. The food finally showed up at 4.20pm...we had to go out at 5pm so a nice afternoon family takeaway turned into just rushing to eat as quick as we could before we had to leave.

Delivery charge was extortionate £22 for a kabab and 2drinks, the delivery charge wasn't clear until I had made payment.....& realised that the cost was so high 😡

When my food arrived late, it was very cold

Food wasn't hot, chips tasted old, burger bun was a bit soggy on the outside for some reason, all just tasted cheap. Charged way too much for the quality of food and was given the wrong drink with a kids meal - website stated apple juice, given a Pepsi max.

The order was accepted, payment was taken. The delivery window came and went, when trying to contact the restaurant I get no answer. I still have not received my food order and now having to go hungry.

Absolutely disgusted…ordered food at 9pm was given 10:15 - 10:30 estimated time … I called the restaurant and he said yes it’s still on its way. it’s now 11pm and the restaurant is not picking up the phone and saying closed. Do not ever order - One HANGRY customer

£32 later and it’s 11:30pm NO FOOD HAS AREIVED!!!!???nobody has picked up my calls and the first time I managed to speak to somebody at 10:30 they said it was on its way. one hungry angry tired customer. I expect a full refund

My address is difficult to find but the driver didn't listen to me on the phone and kept speaking over me. He said he will turn around and go back and not refund me as I only spent 40 pound anyway. Food was rubbish and cold will not be returning

This is the first time we have ordered from flame kebab and would not hesitate to order again even though they are 12 miles away.

We was delivered wrong food all bar the pizza we ordered. The pizza was cold and not vey nice. Considering how much it all cost it was really disappointing.

Probably the worst just eat experience I’ve had. I ordered a ‘New Yorker pizza’ which is disgusting in both aesthetics and flavour. I ordered a ‘medium donner kebab’ which was chicken… I ordered a can of Fanta that was a can of Rio. Nothing about this order was what was advertised, what I expected or what I was willing to pay so much for. I demand a refund and will pursue every avenue to get one. Photos have been taken.

I’ve ordered many times from here and the food is usually pretty good. It’s been slightly below standard maybe 1/6 times. Not relating to food quality but service, last night was the worst, they took over 3 hours to deliver my food. I had ordered well before we needed it as they can sometimes take a good 90 mins to deliver so I factored this in but over 3 hours from the point of ordering just isn’t good enough. Initially it said it would be with us at 5.15ish and when I queried where it was it said 6.20ish. At one point I called and was told it would be 5-10 minutes but even from that point I waited a further 30 before it arrived. This was not even peak times (I had ordered it around 4pm in the afternoon hoping to have it around 5.30ish - and it’s a Wednesday night not even a weekend!) I requested a partial refund for my inconvenience - my little boy was so hungry I had to make him something else for dinner as he couldn’t wait any longer - they haven’t bothered to give me my partial refund despite the fact I order regularly from them. Terrible service and very disappointed so I will make a point of not being a return customer and will go elsewhere in future due to the lack of goodwill gesture for the inconvenience.

Late cold food. Driver got lost. Then was abusive to my daughter when she went to the car to collect the takeaway. Food was uneadible. Tasted like it had been reheated. Avoid....

food was late, left on door with no knock or bell, wet and cold and hard

Food was horrendous, chips felt and tasted like they’d been cooked days ago and reheated several times. The sausage I had with my chips was WAY over cooked, the skin was far too firm and there was no taste other than burnt. My partner said her meal tasted funny, as though the meat was bad. Won’t be coming back here in future, waste of my money.

Chips and onion rings were inedible. Too greasy, cold and even when warmed up were not nice. Pizza was fine.

Great food and good value for money

Firstly, my order was late. We then saw that the order wasn't cheese on the chips; the wrap was a sloppy mess, and the onions rings were burnt, and overall, the meal wasn't particularly hot, especially the chips.

Really lovely food and super quick service, will recommend and use again Only slight complaint is that you don’t get to choose what flavour sauce in the wraps and the pizzas could do with a little more tomatoe sauce.. still lovely and very minor things as just personal preference

One of the two meals was fine, my husband enjoyed it. The garlic pizza bread was really nice. The chicken wrap was awful...plain chicken in a hard wrap, no salad or sauce. The chips were hard and dry. After two bites I could smell and taste that the meat had an 'off' flavour. I couldn't eat the rest. Any other time I'd have called the place and complained but it was after 10pm and we just wanted a quick bite after a long day.

Waited over 2hrs and when we contacted restaurant he told us our order was cancelled which it wasn't. He then said he would resend free of charge and would refund money but this didn't happen either. Food eventually showed up over 3 hours late and we were charged

Our food was an hour late. When it arrived the food was cold and our child was waiting way past his bedtime. By the time food got here he wouldn’t eat it because he was too tired. Restaurant didn’t contact us to say they were even running late or there was an issue. We had to ask them twice to call the driver because they were going to all they said was he had left 40 min ago and he’d be here soon, they don’t know where he is. Delivery driver was lovely and and very apologetic.

Really poor. The food was stone cold by the time it arrived and it only had to travel 10 minutes from ‘restaurant’ to my house. I asked for no salad in my wrap and got salad which wasn’t what I’d ordered. I wish I’d read the reviews before ordering because it seems a lot of people have had these issues.

Took 2 hours to arrive from placing the order. Not only was the food cold when it finally arrived, they’d forgotten the garlic bread. Will not be ordering again. Very disappointed

Order was really not great. Food was cold and pitta was basically liquid by the time I received it. Person it was for had already gone out as it was so late (30 minutes after time extension) Restaurant were not answering phone to see where food was. Won't be ordering again

The boneless chicken is basically chicken that’s been hammered flat and deep fried, it was very dry and most of the bits were fairly chewy which was a surprised as it had had the life tenderised out of it?

Food was 45 minutes late arriving. The kebab would have nice if it had not been cold. The pitta bread was just soaking wet and soggy with cold meat juices. The fried chicken was just plain over cooked, tough, dry and chewy. Will not be ordering again.
