Nice food and atmosphere. But having to pay more for an extra Yorkshire pudding or for 1 pigs in blanket is a bit much.

The meal was good and hot. Our server Chloe was polite and efficient.

Appreciate the ability to order from table. Saves queueing. Very prompt table service, albeit we were only having carvery. Generous serving of meat although the beef was a little tough, roast potatoes were badly overcooked and the fresh mashed potatoe was a little ruuny.

The staff are lovely. Even when very busy. Very good value.

Had to wait 4 hours for my car and this was much better than nearby Costa

Beef on the carvery was still moo-ing

First time today for a family meal, I had the chicken and ribs platter. The chips skin on were lovely could of been a bit hotter though. All the chicken was crispy and full of flavour. The ribs however weren't the best bog standard frozen ones you can get in most supermarkets still tasty but quality of meat not great. If the ribs were fresh and also the tomatoes were warmed and not cooked through,overall lovely meal. Oh and props for having iron bru available not many places do and I live by the stuff lol.

Alot of the drinks were unavailable, I ordered using the app ,went over to the desk to get the ticket just for the server to walk around me and place the tickets on the table rather than just give them to me, the beef was very chewy,the veg was very dry,i t was 2.30 and they didn't have many roast potatoes Service waiting for dessert was a bit better

Arrived at 4pm to have an early carvery dinner. Most tables were reserved but found somewhere to sit easily. Ordered via the app at the table, drinks were served almost immediately and our food slips came just after. No queue for the carvery and there were three meats on offer, turkey, gammon or beef. With a yorkshire pudding, stuff & veg. What I would say was that the yorkshire was chewy so could have been fresher, the veg choices were peas, carrots, mashed swede, cauliflower cheese, mashed potato & roast potatoes. Personally I hate cauliflower so would have loved broccoli but for £9.99 we couldn't really grumble. Plenty of food, choice could have been wider but all in all a tasty meal.

a very mild experience, tables were cleaned, expected but nice food came quickly - possibly a bad sign but was hot my beef lasagne tasted exactly like every similar family restaurants does - likely as they’re all made at the same place my girlfriend had the carvery, where the mash was decent, the meat was undercooked with little variation, and the potatoes were soggy the chips however were nice and crispy the service was perfectly fine, polite happy staff that are kind and helpful - nothing at all wrong with that atmosphere is fine, people and subtle music around, gentle lighting and a variation of seating options overall a 3/5 stars, good customer service let down by food quality leaving a lot to be desired.

Carvery was just ok for mid week as it was quiet. other food was good.

So we came to The Copper Beech this evening just to come and grab a drink and play some pool (it was only myself and my partner) The atmosphere itself was really off, as we came in, the two ladies on shift were sitting down on their phones before staring at us upon arrival. There was a group playing pool, a gentleman on his phone still drinking his beer and people in the other room which looked like a function. The staff then stood there continuing to stare at us making us feel really awkward and we’ve never really had that there! Anyway, the woman kept looking at her watch and staring at us so my partner went to ask what time they close as it’s normally always 11pm as stated online. She replied with ‘Now.’ At 9:55pm. We felt so embarrassed and anxious having walked in, the staff knowing they were deciding to shut an hour early and not telling us. We feel we should have at least been told upon arrival? We did check, and it states online it closes at 11pm every night. That’s always been the case. We even called up at lunchtime to see what time they were closing and they said 11pm so that’s just wasted the last part of our evening. It wasn’t exactly too quiet as there was still people there so doesn’t make sense really. Not a great experience this evening, we won’t be returning.

We were met by Lyndon who, as always had a friendly warm welcome for us, seated us and made sure we were ok. All the staff, as always were friendly and really helpful. Great atmosphere. We had a great night celebrating a friend's birthday. Thank you

Easy to book, sat quickly, friendly staff. Not overly great selection of beer on tap. Quick service. Lovely hot food. Steak was a bit fatty. Gravy on Carvery was a bit greasy. Lovely warm atmosphere and good place to celebrate my Grandad's birthday with the family.

Chloe gave us a fantastic service and was very attentive.

It used to be a good pub, but unfortunately management & staff have let it down, Long waits rude & unprofessional. By the looks of it here id say management & staff training is a big issue. More concerned with having a laugh and serve their fellow colleagues rather than doing their job and serving customers. Shame really as with the right management it could be a good pub again.

Consistently good food! Reasonably priced. Elaine looked after us and was very pleasant.

Haven't been here for a long time but had a lovely lunchtime carvery. The menu itself was very good/varied but opted for the carvery. Decent selection of meat and vegetables. All hot and fresh. It got quite busy but didn't have to wait long for anything. Our service from Lyndon was great, just the right amount of attentiveness.An enjoyable experience. We will come back again.

Food was warm and good my issue and my families issue was how dirty the restaurant was. Food on the ceiling, dirty hand marks on the window with smeared food, dirty wee stained gents urinals, (makes you wonder what the kitchens like) everything seemed to be dirty! The girl cleaning the bar seemed to take three hours cleaning it and was a bit weird about manoeuvring around me to clean the bar as I waited plenty of staff behind the bar staring at me like an idiot but no one serving. This place needs a bloody good house manager to kick it back up to scratch! Chef did a wonderful job even though I received three small mushrooms the steak was cooked to perfection. Please give it a good clean!! 🧼 cos I hate icky places! Table 41 is where I was sitting in the corner by kids area.

Delicious carvery, my 8 year old and I really enjoyed it.

Not as bad as McDonalds, menu description nearly matched plate contents, chicken/tomato and chips tasty, rocket shrivelled up and teaspoon of bbq sauce spread thinly. Added tomato sauce to thicken it up. Filled a hole as the saying goes.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great to have a carvery option, along with a wide ranging menu of typical restaurant pub food. The carvery was excellent with a choice of three meats, stuffing, Yorkshire puddings, peas, carrots, greens, cauliflower cheese, roasted potatoes, Brussel sprouts, gravy, and redcurrant jelly, mint sauce, and bread sauce.

Not a great experience at all, staff didn't really seem to care. A lot if standing around. Only came to check if meals were OK when everyone was almost finished. The food wasn't hot, it was luke warm at best. It was so cold in the restaurant, when we asked a member of staff we were advised that the heating wasn't working, but nothing to say that the heating wasn't working and we were only advised on this once we asked. So we had no option but to dine in coats. So not a great visit at all and I doubt I'd come back. I'm sure my comments won't necessarily be listened to but maybe they should to avoid this going forward.

Popped in for a quick lunch to catch up. Lovely atmosphere, staff were lovely and friendly. Always smiling and welcoming. We were looked after by Chloe and they were brilliant. Checked to make sure everything was ok and we were happy. The food was great. Served quickly and very tasty.

Not one to usually give an awful review as usually on balance it’s unlikely that everything is bad, however, on this visit, I ordered the £15 LARGE fish and chips and when it came it was, I thought the same size as my 7 year old daughters, I politely mentioned to the waiter who was immediately on the defensive, he told me it was fatter than my daughters bit, I then placed mine on top of my daughters and realised hers was longer and fatter apart from a small tag off the side, I said again to him it wasn’t, he rudely said “what do you want me to do about it, I said it was larger last time, he said “what do you want me to do about it, I’m not the chef”, I said I’d like to return it and wanted my money back, he said I’ve asked you three time times what you want me to do about it, his tone was aggressive. He swore at me in front of my wife and three children and walked off saying he’d get the manager to speak to me. The manager didn’t come over so I approached him, he said he’d been busy and was going to come over, he said I could get a refund on my plate and still have it, I thanked him for this, took it back and it was inedible anyway, completely dry and overcooked or recooked, my daughters was the same. When I left I got my refund on my plate and my one drink. It ruined a family meal, if we hadn’t have walked here with the children and our dog I’d have left and drove somewhere else. I won’t be back, it was a terrible experience.

The service was good .would have preferred Morreti to drink . The food was good . The thing that lets the cooper beach down is the worn out tired look . It really needs a good lick of paint . And windows could do with a clean they were filthy.

7 of us went out for my sons 13th birthday. Good and drink to be ordered at the bar unless you want to order through the app. Food arrived. Chips were stone cold and could be snapped in half. Totally over fried. If you wanted to attempt to eat them you couldn't use a fork as they snapped. My son gave them a go and cut his mouth. A server did offer to replace them but not until the accompanying food had been rated by then it seemed pointless. If this is the standard of the food I'm not surprised you have to pay in advance. I think lots of people would be arguing the bill or refusing to pay.

Visited in April and loved it. Wanted somewhere to see in the new year and saw the copper beech was putting a little something on. We have 2 dogs so needed to be dog friendly. The copper beech did not disappoint. Very accommodating with the dogs. The food was unbelievably good and plentiful. The staff were amazing and very attentive. Thank you all for a fab evening and great way to see in the new year. We will be back! Happy new year!!

Christmas party here yesterday was brilliant, big portions, friendly staff and a great atmosphere, can’t recommend this place enough

We are a disabled group, we visit every year. Convenient that we dont pre-order, choose and pay on day. Copper Beech are fabulous with our disabled young adults. We were seated as requested far left corner of the pub so we have privacy. Staff were so lovely, accommodating and asking if okay. Bar staff too, wonderful employees. Thank you for a lovely Christmas lunch experience, see you next year. 28 person group - disabled young adults with parent/carers

Excellent service. All staff were very friendly and polite food was really good to.

The meal portions were interestingly rather small. A colleague ordered fish and chips. We swore it must have been a child's fish portion. That was the smallest fish and chips we have ever seen.

I took myself and my 2 children for lunch on Sunday and I must say the food was not good, I understand they were busy but it's no excuse, the portion sizes were appalling, I ordered 1 regular size roast ,one large size roast and a burger from the main menu, with the regular plate we were given 2 slices of beef that was only just about enough for a small bread roll ,the large size roast was meant to have more meat and 2 Yorkshire pudding but again the meat was very small and we had to ask for more plus the extra Yorkshire pudding, the beef burger was dry and the size of a happy meal burger with over cooked fries. I paid nearly £60 for the 3 meals and there would have been more food on a primary school dinner plate.

Came with family for a meal before Christmas as wouldn’t see them. Was lovely meal service was quick, food lovely and hot. Only thing I would make a suggestion on is to ask the chefs to peel the carrots as they were a little bit grainy. Other than that a lovely night out.

Attentive staff, we ordered a main and a cavery, my main was brought within 10 minutes, great, but my husband was then told to queue for the carvery, which took about 20 minutes to get. When he came back I’d finished my meal, sitting on my own eating! Not great really, he should’ve been told to start queuing whilst my main was being prepared. The staff seemed oblivious to it all and the restaurant didn’t seem that busy. Won’t be ordering a carvery again !

Been a couple of years since my last carvery at Copper Beech (when under old management). So glad I went back as every bit of the carvery was fantastic. Will definitely be returning again.

Friendly staff and massive yorkshire puddings !

My friend and I have been here quite a number of occasions but unfortunately the food wasn't as good as before. It all needed to be hotter and the roast potatoes weren't like roasties at all. When we were asked how everything was I was about to mention the fact that the food was not hot enough but my friend said "fine thankyou" even though she didn't really think that. Chloe was lovely and as soon as she saw me struggling to carry my coffee she took it from me and took it to the table. I am sure we will come again because this was not our usual experience of food at The Copper Beech.

Had a table booked for drinks with my work colleagues (we did order a selection of starters which were all very very good indeed too) - the pub had a wonderfully fun atmosphere and the staff were just amazing. Scott was our 'server' behind the bar and his interaction and clear passion for his job really shone through. If there is an Employee of the Month award then I would like to nominate him for making our visit very special indeed. Thank you Copper Beech team :):)

Moved to here not long ago so this is our first time visit. Food are good, my husband and son ordered steak, they are both saying hood steak. Good price with friendly staffs. Generous portion too.

We booked a table, turned up the car park was full. We arrived a few minutes before the table was ready. The women then pulled a face and said we would have to wait at the bar. My husband then asked how long to wait will be which she replied “how long is a piece of string” very rude so we went elsewhere. Why allow us to book a table if the place is full doesn’t make any sense
