Fiza spice in Allerdale

I'm sorry I have to write this because they all seem to be nice guys at Fiza Spice but, as I had told the manager previously, if this ever happened again I would post an honest review. And it has so here goes. At least this review will give this business an opportunity to explain. Because they haven't answered me in person. For the second time this last year - both times being at the start of the week - our lamb curry was made with bland sliced lamb. Very obviously left overs. After all, who would roast a leg of lamb then use it in curry? Maybe at home you might use up leftovers from the Sunday roast - but professionally? I don't think so! The sliced lamb was bland, no spice in it, it had just been warmed up in a curry sauce. Not 'cooked in spice specifically for the curry. Where is this left over lamb coming from? A care home? A hospital? Has it come from the kitchen or from the plates ie having been served then returned to the kitchen with goodness knows what contamination? Our entire lamb curry went in the bin. And, despite being very much NOT a squeamish person, or picky in any way - I still feel sick thinking about it. Who wants to eat a stranger's left overs? Goodness knows what else is going on in the kitchen if the manager thinks this is acceptable. We will never, ever, eat from this takeaway again.

Good value and lovely tasty food. Fast service, friendly and enjoyable. Happy to recommend. You can see the food being cooked when you collect, all clean and very busy.

Best Indian me and my husband have had in a while we ordered quite late on and staff were friendly food was absolutely delicious and arrived piping hot was so good we will be back! 😊

Very different curreis orderd, both looked the same with litle difference in taste, chicken dry and cheap. Way over salted, breads hard. Starter could not eat as the salt content was so heavy. Curry you could make better out of a jar. Was poor last time and we left it for several months but thought we should try again...we have now thrown the menus away, definity won't be giving it another chance.

Amazing quality Indian food, absolutely fantastic, wish this takeaway was nearer home. The Podina Jal Chicken/Lamb is out of this world!!!

I love indian food and must say this is a fantastic takeaway. 5 star. Will definatly use again. All dishes I've tried i have no complaints.

Whoever cooked the lamb madras and onion bhajis on Tuesday 1st of March - can you please KEEP THIS CHEF (and maybe give them a pay rise?) That was the best takeaway curry I've had in Cumbria for many a year. Spot on, delicious, meat tender, sauce complex and spiced perfectly, lovely bhajis - just great all round. If Fiza Spice keeps this up we'll be regular customers. HUGE IMPROVEMENT on what is usually OK but not stunning. This was EXCELLENT.

Not so good treat. Onion bhaji was burnt to a crisp, bombay potatoes were just 4 large dry chunks in sauce. I love my curries and we had chicken sag with this that was nice. The starters we had were very poor though, maybe we just made a bad choice. I wont be going again.

We opted for the set meals for 2 which offered excellent value for money. Nice selection of starters and good sized main courses. Highly recommended.

Had the vegetarian madras one night while staying nearby on holiday was extremely delicious just the right spice. Staff were lovely when ordering/collecting also.

Ordered the set meal for 2, delivered on time and the food was tremendous. Stayed hot despite the fact we live quite a few miles away. Great value for money is always a thumbs up as well 👍🏻👍🏻

Very disappointed with my curry tonight. Thought I would try a NEW addition to the menu which is called Bhindi Ghost. (I think it is a typo and should be Bhindi Gohst). Unfortunately I chose the wrong thing. This curry had no taste as it was primarily full of okra and hardly any chicken. The sauce had no flavour either. I could not eat it and it went in the bin. I must say that usually the curries from Fiza Spice are delicious so I am not sure what went wrong here. I would definitely not choose that dish again.

I often order butter chicken here but this time it was completely different - it didn’t look or taste anything like usual. Perhaps it was a different chef, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as usual.

I was willing to give this place another go after my last experience wasn’t so great after destroying my works toilet last time! So against my better judgment I took the plunge, it was 9.30 at night just worked all day and was hungry so I went in to find 4 members of staff not wearing masks which means they obviously don’t have a clue what’s going on atm! The meal was poor, dry lamb no flavour, lack of meat also rice was dry

Muy decepcionado. . . . Esperó 2. 5 horas y cuando llegó estaba tibio, insípido con poca carne y una gran cantidad de salsa. La salsa de mango tenía un sabor extraño y estaba aguada. . . El repartidor sin complejos tampoco ayudó. Fiza de mala calidad. . . . . Por lo general, nuestra comida para llevar india "ir a", pero ya no.

De vacaciones en el campo, pedimos que nos entregaran una comida para llevar.Al conductor le resultó extremadamente difícil encontrarnos, pero siguió llamándonos para informarnos y finalmente nos encontró.La comida era increíble y las porciones muy grandes. Ojalá tuviéramos este restaurante en casa.

Excellent Indian dishes all cooked fresh there and then, very good food and certainly would order from there again.

Spicy Tikka Wrap for £3.50? That’s right, £3.50! And to top that off you get a popadom ey, class eh! Absolutely unreal scran

Every meal we have had from Fiza has always been excellent. They never disappoint. And the Sunday Night Specials are really good value.

Conseguí un bhuna de pollo Tandoori, saag aloo, naan de ajo y arroz. Todo fue fantástico, tomates grandes y jugosos en el bhuna, una proporción perfecta de salsa a carne. No soy un gran fanático de la comida para llevar, pero esto fue brillante. El joven estaba trabajando solo durante la pandemia de covid, ¡gran trabajo de escudero! !

All of us agreed the meals were fresh-tasting and delicious. The meat was good quality. Best in Cockermouth.

La peor comida para llevar india jamás experimentada! Después de vivir en la capital del curry del Reino Unido durante más de 30 años, esperaba reducir mis expectativas un poco, pero no a este nivel. Pedimos dos platos diferentes y cuando se abrieron, solo podían describirse como un recipiente lleno de salsa roja brillante, casi sin carne, sin sabor y sin especias. ¡Parece que todos los platos hechos están basados en la misma salsa! No hecho individualmente.¡No puedo entender cómo la gente ha calificado esto tan alto!Sin duda no volvería ni se lo recomendaría a nadie.

My friend & me ordered a takeaway at Fiza spice in cockermouth they give us time 25 to 30 minutes. went there on time the food was ready. The owner offered us papadom & relish because we where from workington. Come back home & we eat our food it was delicious we couldn't fault it very tasty

This is our regular take away every time we had indian meal fiza spice is our first choice we never had a bad meals from them the food are very tasty & best Indian in cockermouth. Highly Recommend.

I ordered Onion Bhaji which was dry and chewy. The worst though was the main. I ordered a chicken saag and got what appeared to be a Tikka Massala with a few bits of spinach mixed in. I would stay away from this place.

I've been there few times the manager is very friendly with customers & the food is outstanding natural flavours freshly prepared in front of you i do strongly recommend this place any one who go there hope won't get disappointed keep going guy's 🆗👈

Para la tarde, llevar con críticas mixtas me hizo un poco desconfiado. Pero mi madras estaba bien. La cebolla Bargee recocida y Pasanda ordenada para la noche siguiente no tenía sabor, aunque la carne de pollo era de buena calidad. Necesito cocineros experimentados incluso en las noches tranquilas, ya que esto era solo promedio.

Ordered on a Saturday evening for take away. Was a little worried due to some reviews but glad I tried it. Full of flavour and just as I asked; I ordered something off menu. Excellent delivery. Would order again. Thank you.

So delicious. Take away Indian food so often oily and samey, but this was so good - each dish tasty in its own way. We live in East London, this was better than any of our locals. Just the job.

Excellent food hence why you will have a bit of a wait. Cooked in plain view, tandoor oven used for our chicken and naan breads.

Left this takeaway alone for some time but heard that it had improved and decided to give it another shot.

Great food, takeaway and delivery. Really reasonable prices, especially set choice meals. Good variety of spice levels and plenty of different flavours. Breads and rice good as well.

First vist -Had a Madras takeaway wrap during the week, excellent very tasty madras, nan style wrap, full, very good. Very tasty. So Returned fri for another, if this had been the 1st would not have returned, nan wrap quite good but the smear of madras a total disappointment. Sorry but no! If there was a prob should have said so, or is this fri night fare?

Ordered food at 6.15 told would be delivered in maximum an hour turned up an hour and 45 minutes later cold and flavourless and didn’t even get our full order disappointing to say the least

We ordered a takeaway from here and ended up ordering far too much! We ordered a pickle tray but ended up getting twice the amount of some pickles as unbeknownst to us they give them away with some meals for free. We ordered over the phone and it was ready when they said it would be, which is good as they still don’t have a hot cupboard to keep it in. The food was tasty and moreish. Will return.

En vacaciones en Bothel durante una semana y decidimos riesgo una entrega a nuestra cabaña. Nos alegramos de haberlo hecho. Fácil de pedir por teléfono y fue entregada en unos 35 minutos. La orden fue todo correcto y aún muy caliente. Comida de primera clase también - el pollo Dupiaza era perfectamente mezclados y se derretía en la boca.

Comimos desde aquí una noche de domingo. Decidimos ir por la noche del domingo especial y añadir un par de cosas. No he molestado añadiendo nada. Tienes un montón en el domingo por la noche especial, podría hacer dos personas! Llamamos el orden en otra vez esta vez, ya que normalmente es un enorme esperar si puedes pedir en el mostrador. Estaba listo para recoger cuando me dijeron que iba a ser. No dejes que la tienda en sí para llevar como parece un poco deteriorado por dentro.

Vivimos en flimby para llevar indios entregados son pocos y lejos entre, es mejor con diferencia fiza. La comida llega caliente más tiempo, el pollo pakoras suelen terminar empapadas pero no esperaría que crujientes cuando se han viajado 20 minutos en coche, aunque todavía sabroso. El pollo tikka madras, al vindaloo y que jal Julio murgi están entre algunos de mis favoritos. Con un arroz pilau y sencilla naan/chapati. Sin duda, recomendaría este lugar

Siempre hay una larga espera para la comida si pide en el mostrador, así que decidimos llamar al orden. Nos dijeron que sería alrededor de media hora. Media hora más tarde fuimos por un estaba listo esperando en el mostrador. No sabía cuánto tiempo había estado sentado allí, así que no creo que sería cálido. Creo que deberian tener un armario caliente para comida de los pueblos. Sorprendentemente, todavía estaba muy caliente cuando llegamos a casa. La comida era muy buena y nos dieron poppadoms extra gratis. El servicio también era muy bueno.

Was initially dubious about this takeaway, from the outside it looks unclean and inside is similarly untidy. Being hungry we gave it a go though and glad we did - tasty, well spiced dishes that better most restaurants efforts. 4 stars because it needed to be cleaner.

En un fin de semana normal la espera es bastante larga, unos 20 minutos. La comida era la pena la espera, ya que era realmente bueno. Nos dieron un popadoms y lados. Volveremos.

La comida llegó 25 minutos tarde (con ninguna explicación del conductor) y con tres cosas que faltan (que era sólo notamos cuando teníamos deshacer todo). la comida valía la pena la espera, el cordero Bhuna era fabulosa y viceversa la gamba nórdica Korma 7.50 también era genial, aunque ello no coffee pots couls be han sido más gambas. fuimos a la que llevar más tarde en la noche en el camino hacia el pub y enseguida me dieron una restitución por los artículos no recibimos sin discusión.

Tasty and reasonably priced food that was chosen from an extensive menu. Korma wraps a hands up from the kids. Bhuna was very tasty.

Tried this place for tea 2 weeks ago. The chef cooks the food right in front of you, which is a great thing to see. Well cooked meat, and great sauces. Nice friendly staff, and not over priced.

Fiza Usado en varias ocasiones. Siempre nos recogió comida. Una calidad llevar. caliente, comida sabrosa. Decidimos probar comida entrega ... cuando llegamos estaba misma calidad y pipping caliente, pero nos tomó más de 90 minutos para llegar de ordenar. Tuvimos que llamar para ver si nos habían olvidado. El conductor era menos de comprensivo! No nos impidió comer comida de la Fisa pero recoger nosotros mismos de ahora en adelante. Ten cuidado.

Fiza Spice ofrece un muy eficiente llevar el servicio y la comida es siempre muy sabroso. Lo que me gusta particularmente es que mi pedido está siempre listo en unos 20 minutos y no me mantenga merodeando por ahí. Es una agradable estructura tienen donde puedes ver a los chicos cocinar si decide esperar mientras que su comida es preparada. El personal es amable.
