Couldn’t say the best burger ever had but wanted to give it a try. Server friendly enough (Jack?) Bacon cheeseburger good - chose not to overload to minimise mess. Bun held together. Fries tasty. Soda refill fine too. Restaurant had door open so not particularly warm inside. Loos were fine. Worth a try but could not afford very often.

I'm not a fan generally of the 'American diner burger joint' type place anyway but on a whim decided to give it a bash & this place really reinforced why! The place was dirty & had a greasy unclean feel to it (tables had not been cleared away & wiped down, mess all over the floor...). Unfortunately for me, the need arose to use the restroom which was appalling & situated in a really awkward place. Food was absolutely below par for the price we paid & needless to say, won't be visiting another one of this chains restaurants. Oh, my other half did enjoy the milkshake for what it's worth but I would have rather paid an extra £10 to go somewhere a bit more decent....you decide for yourself.

We paid £23 for two burgers and large fries (one portion to share) My burger - bacon cheese burger - was pretty good but absolutely nowhere near worth £10.65. Also I opted to have tomatoes in and this made the whole thing soggy. Probably my own fault but best to avoid if you do go. Burgers were very average and not worth the high price tag for what is a slightly upmarket fast food place Fries were also underwhelming. Lacked flavour, seasoning and were also just a bit limp To summarise - it's not bad, It's overpriced and nothing special.

Outrageous price for a burger at £9 , offer of free toppings is no compensation for over charging , we won't be going again.

We were the first customers in at the start of lunchtime. Staff member who took the order was welcoming and polite. We ordered cheeseburger, medium fries, milkshake and water. Free toppings for the burger. Before the food came I used the mens’ restroom which turned out to be up three flights of very slippery stairs. I nearly went over twice! Toilet was unflushed and very full (!) which put me off a bit. Same slippery journey back down. Food had arrived and it was very underwhelming - particularly the soft limp fries. Burger was OK but just a mess really of all the ingredients rammed together and badly wrapped in foil. I had hoped for a feel good factor about this place but came away wondering why I had bothered. I think McDonalds are safe in this town.

NB The previous owner has gone and it’s no longer the Jahan Kitchen – it’s now run by different people – and the negative reviews refer to the previous guy (who left July/Aug 2024). The food at Panna Kitchen is superb. I’ve never had a mainstream madras or tikka masala from there – but I’ve had a number of their specialist dishes – the Railway Chicken Curry, Bengal Naga, Chicken Makhani – and they are ruddy fantastic. There is literally no comparison in value for money between Panna Kitchen and other curry houses – they absolutely stuff their food boxes. The sheer weight of them tells you. One rice box does at least three people! Compared to The Shenai? You’re joking! A little while ago, I ordered a butter chicken and naan bread from The Shenai, takeaway, and it was £16.90! Split it between two of us and it was nowhere near a meal – both hungry afterwards. From Panna Kitchen, I got a railway curry, rice, naan bread and a bombay aloo, they gave a discount and it came to £16.50 – and THREE of us were stuffed afterwards. And they gave a few free poppadums as well. & the food quality was absolutely brilliant! The difference between the two is mental. The Panna Kitchen might not be the most efficient nor quickest, bless ‘em, but they do glorious food and it’s EXCELLENT value!

Heard about this place through a friend. Had a great time and the food was fantastic, the staff were happy and couldn't help enough. We ordered a sharing platter and asked if they could add another place to it, which was no bother at all. The food was delicious and VERY plentiful!!!. After our meal, we were invited to see the smoker units and meet the owner. He was a very personable chap and gave us a good insight to how the food is cooked. It's that personal touch a lot of restaurants need to embrace that Triple BBBs are well ahead of. Can't wait to go back.

Took half an hour for anyone to come and tell me my order will take another 20 mins to not being able to get a refund. Last time I go there
