Normally pop into five guys fort kinaird every month after Costco visit to treat me and my nephew,always friendly helpful staff,very clean and tidy, and the best part the tasty burgers and heavenly fries,you most definitely get what you pay for,best burger I've ever eaten and worth the 100 mile round trip just for the fries,cannot recommend enough 👌🍔

Visited a five guys for first time a few months back, and let me just say I'm impressed. It's a bit expensive but it's amazing how they jandcut the chips and still make them tasty. The milkshake are really good. It's like a better quality but more pricey macdonalds.

Ordered online - for six family members came to a staggering £90 ! Ouch - Arrived at allocated pick up time given - staff friendly but slow and had to wait 30 mins : take out wasn’t what we ordered - one meal had 4 burgers! Another no bun - chips soggy : very expensive and disappointing - lesson learnt - Mac Donald’s next time

shown in the photo attached is how many napkins I and my friend were given between us. This is ridiculous and an unnecessary waste of paper. It’s sad to see Five Guys obviously don’t care about our environment.

This was an awful experience food wise. Staff were fine, food delivered in a timely fashion, it was just dreadful. The banana milk shake, although it did appear to have real bananas in it was also at least 50% sugar- it was so sweet it caught the back of your throat. As a veggie the mushroom, cheese etc burger should have been my dream as it had all my favourite ingredients, it was just a sloppy, flavour free mess though. The lowlight (lol) of the event was watching my daughter eating the "dog" - every mouthful was followed by a grimace. She gave up so I brought it home and can say the dog was perfectly happy with it. The one thing that was OK was the chips. They were mostly, but not all, the smaller ends of potatoes but they were far better than the other two fast food burger places produce. Still , if I could give 0 stars then I would.

For people who are used to burgers from McDonalds or BK then you are in for a shock! 2 hand crafted patties, a beautiful soft bun and any toppings you like. Phenomenal burger, if i had to mark it down for anything it would be a shade on the greasy side, but your ordering burgers, not salads, greese comes as standard. My son had the grilled cheese, he loved it, cant fault this place at all.

A mi hijo le dieron un hot dog que es una salchicha dividida por la mitad para que se ajuste al pan. Compré un sándwich de vegetales, esperando una hamburguesa de vegetales como lo harías tú, excepto que era lechuga, tomate, cebolla asada unida con queso derretido en el pan más pequeño. Siempre sabes que estás obteniendo baja calidad cuando te sobrecargan con papas fritas, incluso si fueran minúsculas, y creen que te están haciendo un favor con recambios gratis de jugo almibarado. No, gracias. Primera y última visita.

Went into five guys, expecting a welcome experience but was pretty appalled by the level of hygiene, I was under the impression that masks were mandatory but even with the guards having staff working with food and not wearing face masks, they were wearing gloves but I had seen one member of staff had blown his noise, put it in a bin that was right next to the grill, I can’t say that can be hygienic in the slightest and then didn’t change his gloves and straight away went to prep up the burger and wrap it before it was to be bagged and sent out. When I was waiting in the queue customers who had left their table to leave the table wasn’t then cut off and cleaned so someone wouldn’t end up sitting at a dirty table. Sad to see as Five Guys has been one of my favourite places for a burger but after the show of poor hygiene I would think twice about going. I would be expecting more especially for the price you pay that asking for basic hygiene precautions aren’t too much to ask for.

Arranged pickup for 6pm, arrived early and waited until 6.40 before cold food was presented, chips were cold and soggy and the burger was a let down, I wouldn’t recommend!

I ordered a BLT over deliveroo. I didn't think that I might want to tick any of the extra toppings boxes, thinking that BLTs are pretty good as they come. Apparently, five guys interprets failing to tick "Lettuce", "Tomato", or indeed "Mayo" on a BLT order as an order for a "Sad, Dry B". Indeed, I'm glad there were no "bacon" or "bun" checkboxes. Otherwise, I'd have paid a fair bit for absolutely nothing. I got a burger and some other stuff too. They were tasty but a bit overpriced.

It's a glorified McDonalds - you pay £8 and stand for 10 minutes waiting for your number to be called. Then you get a tiny burger served wrapped in a tin foil and paper bag. FOR £8 PLUS FRIES!. BRGR sells the same stuff for £4 and that's how much I'd be willing to pay. It was definitely a one-time experience for me and I fail to see what's all the hype about.

If its a really tasty burger you want with a fantastic choice of toppings then this is the place for you. On the downside it is a little on the expensive side. I tend to visit for special occasions. These burgers are definitely the best I have ever tasted!

The food was great! Burger pattied were juicy and tender. if you prefer smaller sizes, opt for the little burgers! Milkshakes were great! but the salted caramel milkshake was a tad bit too sweet..

This is the place I come to for a treat when I am visiting Edinburgh as the prices are quite expensive to warrant coming here regularly. Service is quick. I love the fact that the burgers are cooked to order and you can customise what you want on them (rather than having to pick out the stuff you don't like). Avoid the grilled cheese sandwiches though, they are simply the burger bread roll turned the other way round with a slice or two of cheese shoved in the middle and put on the grill - not how I envisaged they'd be and definitely not worth what was charged! The chip portion is huge but equally so is the cost for it, but even a small one can serve 2 folk to make it a bit more cost effective.

If you like paying two to three times what you should, this place can't be beat. Normal fountain drinks are £3.40. Regular fries are £4.50. A kid's cheeseburger is £6.25. And £5.25 for a milkshake. Was probably the fun place to go when it opened but it's hard to imagine it can keep fooling people for long.

Visited Edinburgh for the weekend went to 5 guys absolutely disgusting chips full of salt not edible.. burgers given in silver foil.. really? up your game 5 guys would have preferred to go burger king if i could find it

Pop in here with my friend for a late brunch. We got our order and went off somewhere else to eat it. I got a BLT, disgusting does not cover what I was given. The bacon was very over cooked, very dark brown practically black and tasteless and crumbled into crumbs when touched. I had a slice of plastic cheese with salad on the bun. This was totally disgusting and so not eatable. My friend got a vegetable bun with cheese, lost for words for this disgusting effort. If we were nearer we would have taken it back. So disappointing waste of money. Would I recommend this place definitely not. The food was disgusting.

Fue la mayor pérdida de dinero que he gastado. 23 para 2 hamburguesas y 1 papas fritas. El bollo de hamburguesa era un desastre empapado. No hay muchas coberturas y chips también estaban empapados. No sabía de qué se trataba todo el alboroto. Yo definitivamente no iré allí de nuevo, eso es seguro.

Good place to go when shopping at Fort Kinnaird for quality burgers with a choice of toppings, fries and shakes. A no frills place with fast, friendly service. Plenty of free parking.

Música demasiado alto. Bien. Los desperdicios de la panceta. Bueno, fui a pedir tocino mejor no quemado y me dijeron que no. Echaron la salud y seguridad. BS que no estoy queriendo no bruto quemados. Una vez cocinan bacon y luego dejarlo fuera todo el día, asqueroso.

Hemos estado antes, pero de repente para ir a almorzar, ya que no había estado en mucho tiempo. Dos hamburguesas, dos bebidas, patatas fritas para compartir. 25 libras. Fue la pena? No creo que se puede decir que fue. No estaba mal, nada increíble, una de las máquinas de bebidas no funcionaba, así que tuve que esperar cada vez que queríamos una recarga.

Il fast food funziona così scegli se mettere uno o due burger e poi ti dicono una lista di ingredienti che ci potete mettere dentro cheddar funghi pomodori insalata bacon (è strepitoso) poi le patatine che le servono in un bicchiere di carta e un po’ ne buttano nella busta oltre questo si possono prendere le noccioline gratis mentre si aspetta e le bibite con infinito refill diversi tipi di bevande come la Coca-Cola alla vaniglia oppure la sprite all uva sicuramente un posto da provare !

Dimenticatevi i fast food, e per fast food intendo quello schifo che vi rifilano da McDonald's o simili, perchè questo è il fast food definitivo. Una volta entrati nel ristorante verrete presi a schiaffi dall'odore di unto straunto, come zombie vi dirigerete alla cassa dove potrete scegliere il tipo di panino e 15 topping GRATIS, inutile dire che ci ho ficcato dentro anche l'anima di mi madre. Poi chiedi gentilmente una porzione piccola di patatine e sbam eccoti qua 11 pound di conto senza la bibita, perchè il prezzo della bitita vi farà venir voglia di morire di sete. Attenderai col tuo bel numerino il tuo sacchettino di carta col tuo cibo e potrai sederti comodamente per iniziare un viaggio senza ritorno verso l'ostruzione arteriosa. Il panino, soffice, grosso, succoso, pieno di ogni cosa, la carne SA DI CARNE, i pickles CI SONO, la stagnola evita che qualsiasi cosa finisca sulle vostre scarpe, ma poi la sorpresa miglore, le patatine, non solo ti danno la tua dose di patatine, in più te ne buttano un'altra direttamente nel sacchetto! Doppie patatine! Doppio infarto per eccesso di grassi saturi, la morte migliore che una persona può aspettarsi.

It's an expensive fast food place. I've not been disappointed with any food I've had, but you need to understand that you're not really going for a sit down meal.

We went for an early lunch and were greeted by very friendly staff. Our server who resembled Jon Snow (not the channel 4 news reporter) was very helpful as this was our first visit.

Went here at lunchtime and the building was very clean as was the whole of the inside. The staff were first class very polite and helpful. I ordered the double bacon burger which was just superior to other fast food places. No crap just pure...

Just home after our third trip to Five Guys. Again, absolutely stuffed to the gills! Burgers and hotdogs are fantastic. Chips lovely. But the star of the show for me is the milkshakes........ Peanut butter with, wait for it...... BACON. I would have these every day if I could. Give them a try I have also has salted caramel with bacon again fantastic. Our average spend is £30 for 2 burgers, fries, coke and milkshake, yes it sounds alot for 2 people but i have seen myself and partner go to McDonald's, spend £20 and then stop half an hour later somewhere else because we are hungry again. After five guys burgers you don't need to stop anywhere else apart from a comfy armchair!!! Keep up the great work guys!!! We will be back.

Dropped in for lunch not long after opening time and was order number one for the day. As you’d hope the place was clean and well presented. Ordered a beef burger with toppings and Cajun fries and an Irn Bru. The only problem, there was no Irn Bru in the machine so I got a bottle instead, slightly disappointed that it wasn’t unlimited refills but it lasted.

Definitely not the place to go if you don't eat meat, there's no proper veggie or fish option. The fries are very highly priced too. We had fires and a grilled cheese sandwich. The buns are on the child size and the 2 items cost £8.25. There are better places to go for vegetarians, am superseded that the only option it to add lots of vegie toppings to a bun ?

Only went in because there was a 10 minute wait for Nando's. The restaurant is cold and unwelcoming, also had loud rock music playing which was awful. We ordered 2 cokes, 2 fries, a regular burger and a small burger. I was shocked to be charged almost £30!!!! The burger was average at best and the fries were delicious, but at £4.25 a portion they should be. Would not go back.

If you liked it in the states you're not going to be disappointed here. The only detail missing is the yelling in the kitchen. Great burgers. Don't you dare comparing it to McD. It worth every penny you pay more.

The decor's awful but the burgers are great. Almost over-filled with extras (I go for "all the way" minus the mushrooms) but possible to eat without disintegrating (well, until the last mouthful, anyway), these are not cheap but they are great. Service is always friendly and usually quick, bottomless drinks are welcome, free peanuts are a tasty diversion, and the fries are excellent, if a little salty (hello, bottomless drinks). It does what it does to the very best of its abilities. If I lived closer I'd be very fat.

To be fair, the place was clean, the staff really friendly and the food was ok, but by god the prices!!I kept saying to my wife I was waiting for a film crew to appear & say I was being filmed for some game show, it was absolutely criminal.For 2 x bacon cheeseburgers, 2 x small fries a milkshake & a Fanta £31.60!!!And for your £31.60 your food gets handed to you in a brown paper bag! Which you then have to take to the bin afterwards yourself. All this, in a retail park in Niddrie (outskirts of edinburgh) I had turned on my heels at the door btw having seen the prices but we only dined there as my wife didn't want to go looking for anywhere else. I've tried them, got the (very expensive) t shirt and I won't be back!

Great place for a end of summer holidays treat , excellent service and always very clean . Staff always wanting to assist , nothing is never to much trouble .

First visit with my Daughter and both had a cheese burger with our own choice of toppings which is a great idea and a potion of chips which done both of us and they were good fried in Peanut oil with there skins on ... Had a drink each and cost about £25 so for some that can be expensive but much better than the other burger outlets...The staff were friendly and well organised and the music made the atmosphere pleasant ..Well worth a second visit .

This is potlatch version of a take-away burger (wimpy, mcdonald's etc) in the usual garish plastic surroundings. It's massively over-priced, and absolutely average if its kind, but is successful because like many brands, its existence lets people show off that they can spent too much without crying. It also shows they can't or won't engage their brains of making the effort to eat somewhere nice for the same price (£10+). The thin burgers (you can get two on top of each other) have that processed texture of "this product has to be able to stick together", the toppings are ok though the cheese looked plastic (I stayed away), and the buns have that candy floss/cotton wool consistence that is as far from bread as is imaginable.This one is on a shopping centre - but that's still no excuse. Buy a loaf of bread and some real cheese eh? As for branches in nicer locations with more choice, e.g. the centre of Edinburgh, what ARE people thinking?!?! Well, they're not. Five Guys is basic mass market food which is, at least, edible, especially the fries. But please, please please - eat somewhere else and make a comparison.Yes, I know what I sound like. A snob who DOES likes good food and does NOT like to burn money at either the top or bottom end. Seriously, try a good RESTAURANT sometime at lunch and see what you can get for your money.

If you are looking for cheap burger and chips this is not the place for you, go to the drive through, £48 for burgers, fries and milkshakes, 2 adults, 2 kids. The food is good, burgers are tasty and you get a good portion of fries, enough for two people. Milkshakes are nice aswell.

Cheese literally tasted of plastic and as soon as it got colder you could break bits off. Asked for a grilled cheese sandwich, they gave me a burger bun flipped the other way round with plastic cheese that wasn't even melted properly, I took 2 bites and couldn't finish it. It was tiny and cost me almost £4, definitely not going here again.

I love five guys. The food is expensive however you get masses for your money and the quality alone is worth it. It's got a new feel to it and their milkshakes are simply the best. We 100% go every time at the Fort!

Pretty loud music. Decor is a bit confused looking I'm not sure what the designers thoughts were here. Fries cooked with skin on in Peanut Oil so you would probably want to avoid if you have a nut allergy.The burgers taste a bit like a McDonalds crossed with Burger King but not in a good way. Overpriced Milkshakes which are pretty average. There are a selection of alternative places to eat surrounding this place my advice would be to try one of those.

Popped into this restaurant after hearing great reports about the burgers. I have to say I was not disappointed. No frills in the restaurant but the service was very efficient and the burgers are amazing. I believe you get what you pay for. The burgers are certainly in a different league from McDonalds and Burger King. One portion of chips is vertainly enough to share between two people. Will definitely return.

Very overpriced for what is little more than a mcdonalds burger. Save your money and got elsewhere. £20 for 2 small burgers, 1 fries and 1 milkshake. Price you see IS NOT the price you pay an there is no discount for takeaway. RIP OFF, STAY AWAY!!

The food was good but our first order was incorrect. We took it back the manager was very very rude and seemed to imply the food was wrong because of us. Very disappointing. My husband caught his name when we where leaving (deraj) if you want to complain do not go to him.

Five guys burgers are tasteless, they lack seasoning and quality and are invariably over cooked. They are about four times the price of McDonald's and Burger King and not nearly as good. Extremely expensive and disappointing.

Do not get the veggie sandwich, disgusting Two diet cola £5.90They add vat on top of the bill so the price you see on the board is not the price you pay add 20% on everything you see, Biggest ripoff ever, will not be back and telling all friends to stay clear.

Disorganised order taking although as ever cooked to order. Staff friendly. However very quiet for a Friday lunchtime perhaps people are realising they are very expensive it is after all a burger or hotdog.Actually more staff than customers!!

Made the trip out to Fort Kinnaird just to try Five Guys and wasn't disappointed! If anything I was more impressed than I thought I would be. We had a great server called Julio (?) who was very patient and talked us through the options and toppings. I plumped for a small bacon burger which was tasty and the bacon beautifully crispy. The roll was substantial and more than fit for the purpose of holding all the delicious fillings in place. We shared a large fries between 3 and it was more than sufficient. The peanut butter milkshake was out of this world. The fries were amazing with the Cajun spices and were never-ending.On the downside it was a tad pricey: 1 small + 2 large burgers + large fries + Corona + milkshake + bottomless coke for £39. Way pricier than other chains but you pay for what you get and I'd choose here every time - it was a real meal and I wasn't hungry 10 mins later like other burger joints!

My hubby wanted to have lunch here after visiting one in London recently. It lived up to expectations after he'd raved about it so much. Friendly staff, quick service for freshly cooked food. Very tasty burgers & fries - I had the regular, my husband went for Cajun spiced so I tried both. His were a little spicy for me but that's personal taste. They were crispy & not at all greasy & plenty enough in the smallest portion. Would be happy to go back.

Been here a few times in recent months and had always been excellent. But very disappointed last night. Overcooked and insufficiently seasoned burger. Chips not up to usual standard either. Byron and Bread Meats Bread have it beat on that performance.

This is some tasty patties In a nun with peanut oil cooked French fries. I love how the French know how to make good French fries.Be sure to get extra patties for £3 a patty. They don't judge in here so go wild boy.I brought the champ with me once and he loved it . Visited for lunch. The whole visit was really quick. Ordering to eating in about five minutes - perfect!Food was lovely.

Popped in here for a quick bite to eat whilst shopping. Ordered the BLT, huge mistake, this was served on a burger buns, the bacon was so hard and crispy it was like biting into glass and was indigestible. This has to be the worst sandwich I have ever had. Redeeming points, fries were ok but cut into 1cm length for some reason, great choice of self serve soft drinks and free refills. I'm assuming the burgers are better as the place was busy with teenagers in hoodies, and surely they afficianados of the burger.

Decided to go to Five Guys for lunch whilst Christmas shopping at Fort Kinnaird, Edinburgh. First thing I noticed is everything is fried in Peanut Oil but no warning notice at the entry point for those with nut allergies! We sat in a basic restaurant (?) with blaring music so you had to shout to have a conversation. We paid £29.50 for three small plain cheeseburgers, portions of fries and drinks (actually we had only been charged for and given one portion of fries). They did make good on the fries free of charge but still didn't win our vote. Burgers come wrapped in a piece of aluminium foil, all the fries are put in one big brown paper bag and cola tasted watered down. So no expense spared on their presentation of either seating area or food. Fries were okay but don't merit their claim that they're awsome. Wish we'd gone across the road to McDonalds and paid have the price for three meals. Won't be back to eat at Five guys.

Popped In for a milk shake and yes it was Lovley but £4.85 for a milkshake is insane. We decided to sit in and had to put our coats back on as it was freezing!!! I get the premis that a cold drink makes you cold but everyone else had their coat on too!!! Music was VERY loud and could barley hear my fiancé. Put me off for life!!

Decided to try this while staying just outside Edinburgh. Friendly enough welcome but.....Nearly £22 for a cheese toastie, beer, veggie sandwich, milkshake and Cajun spiced fries. We were hoping something above average for the above average price. What we got was....Bland cheese in the small sandwich, a small oversweet milkshake, an underwhelmingly small, tasteless vegetable sandwich and, worst of all, a pile of hideously over-spiced fries which were pretty much inedible. We had to wipe the fries in the serviette to enable us to eat themPossibly the worst value food we have had the misery of eating in a very long time.

There are probably more burger places in Edinburgh than there are Starbucks Coffee shops. In my opinion Five Guys is the best you can get. The patties are always juicy and perfectly cooked, the buns aren't overbearing and the fries absolutely steal the show - always perfectly cooked and packed with flavour. In my opinion this is the perfect combination for a burger. I like it simple. There are a couple of things that I don't like about this place though:Firstly the music is always ridiculously loud, like stupidly loud, almost nightclub loud. Don't get me wrong they always play decent music but there's no need to have that dial turned all the way to eleven. Next up, I love bacon as much as the next guy but Five Guys bacon doesn't do it for me. Its very much the american style. Way to crispy for my liking but I know some people enjoy that. Finally I have to mention the price. For what is essentially a fast food takeaway this place is pretty damn expensive. You'll probably pay £25 to feed two people. Of course I would be happy to pay that in a restaurant but it just feels expensive here. This is probably the main reason it loses a star.Those points aside I always find myself making the trip up to Fort Kinnaird just for a burger and if there was one in a more central location I would find myself in there pretty damn often. My one final tip is always eat as soon as your served. If the burger is kept wrapped in the foil for too long it starts to go pretty soggy.

First time here. Will be going back though. Really tasty burger. I like the way you choose all your toppings. Better be hungry when you visit. Especially if you order large chips.

Having contemplated visiting here several times we decided today was the day. Bitterly disappointed- the veggie burger was quite frankly THE most disgusting thing I have ever tasted!!! We came in for what i can only describe as the worst piece of food in my life. The burger was Cold and tasteless, the bun old and hard and my wife s hot dog wasn't even 100% cooked. We took them to the manager and guy who seemed to be from Asia he had an elephant tattoo on his neck. Told my wife that is what its meant to be like and she wouldn't get a refund. When i visited the toilet there was urine on the floor and paper in the corridor and was smelly and disgusting i wish i had seen this before i ordered food because i can only imagine how dirty the area them prep food is. I can honestly say I will never visit another five guys in my life if that is how they treat food and how they treat customers.

I visited last night with my mum. Food was good, although we had to wait a lot longer than usual for it for some reason.It was not that busy initially but the music was pretty deafening. They kindly turned it down a little when my mum asked, although it was still pretty loud if you were trying to have a conversation.Massive portions of fries - the little one was enough for the two of us.Overall very positive - very clean and staff were friendly.

Came here as everyone going on about how good it was. I got a a cheeseburger and fries which cost £15 and it wasn't even that good, Tasted like a burger you'd get from a Fairground.

Tried this with friends as it was new and apparently popular. It was a massive let down. The place looks like a mix between McDonalds and a school canteen and the service wasn't even as good as either.The food was ok. If you want about 3000 choices of fizzy drink then this place is for you (not sure how much you'd actually be able to drink). The burger was half decent but that was about as good as it got. The worst part; the price. It's very very expensive! Considering you queue to order your food, go to pick it up from the counter when they scream your number out then eat it from a brown bag on a plastic table, before clearing your own rubbish away. The place is chaos with customers walking to and from the counter, drinks machine, toilet etc. Its fast food for people who want to burn money! For the same cost you could have a two course meal and drinks in a nice restaurant without the neon lights, shouting and chaos here. Save yourself the same rage I felt leaving and spend our hard earned money somewhere else.

Went here for lunch. Very impressed by the burgers and the fact that you can customise them with exactly the additional toppings you want. The fries are also excellent! Not cheap for burgers but well worth it.

Been a handful of times since it opened but hadn't been for a while.Menu still the same, to be fair only so much you can do with burgers and hot dogs, but as previous visits they're well done. Staff really friendly and great fun as they really buy into the American vibe that it has. Fries or chips to us are among the best I've ever eaten, seems it's down to fact they are cooked in peanut oil.Good fast food restaurant, but if you don't like loud music avoid at all costs as it is very loud. Would happily return next time I fancy a fast food burger, but done well rather than how the more traditional burger fast food places serve them.If you are allergic to peanuts avoid like the plague.
