Five Guys in Southampton

I ordered my cheeseburger and chips on the just eat app as I do 3-4 times per month, around 7pm delivery was estimated to be 8pm-8:20pm, I tracked my order and watched the delivery driver take a route that was way off being the fastest, the delivery actually stopped for nearly 10 minutes or more about 8:15pm on route to me, my order arrived at 8:40pm, when I opened my food in my kitchen most of my chips had been eaten, one of the burgers had been eaten and the 2nd burger had about a quarter to a third of it eaten. I called five guys straight away and complained I was told to complain via the APP I ordered from, I asked to speak to a manager because I was very unhappy and very hungry as I had waited so long for my food that had been mostly eaten, the person I spoke to said that he was the manager and couldn’t help me any more and hung up on me. 😡😡😡

I don't get to treat myself often so I love going to five guys, amazing food and service from the staff

First time going to five guys after it came highly recommend! I was very disappointed staff were miserable music was far too loud burger was very dry and a ridiculous amount of chips I won’t be back 👎

Fast food. Restaurant quality burger and chips. Not as expensive as some people think. Spend a bit on the burger and you get loads of chips in a medium for 2 people. Unlimited toppings on the burger. Unlimited drinks of which the selection is expansive and unlimited sauces. Heinz mayo and ketchup. Good fast service too.

Hayden was amazing, had great service and most of all great help with my girlfriend's allergies, love the atmosphere they presented great help, definitely will come back the food was amazing as well.

Cheese dog, absolutely gross I wanted to throw up. Chips decent, only really liked the milkshakes, burgers have real cow meat but very sickly. So greasy I felt like I could start a fire.

Great food, polite and professional staff, I would definitely visit again.

Food was nice as usual, but the lady on the till was incredibly rude. There was no queue behind us, she could see we were clearly making our mind up, but she was screaming at us next please, so when we went to the till we had to make a rush decision. Very poor.

How much? I didn't even have a burger bun as I'm coeliac so £10+ for 1 cheeseburger wrapped in lettuce, a bacon cheeseburger, regular chips, a milkshake and bottled water. £35 total!!! Somehow I was also glutened as awake most of the night with crippling stomach pains. I'm not sure I'll be eating there again sadly.

Really tasty cheese burgers and had hard time picking free toppings.Generous portion of chips and proper mayo to dip into.

Burger wasn’t that warm, milkshake was melted and chips were frozen cold, took over an hour and a half to deliver, waste of money and time waiting.

Had a small portion of chips. They cost £3.95 the price was on the steep side and the portion was above average. The taste was very good and they had the option of mayo and ketchup via pumps. They should also offer free water and cups but they do not seem to have that option.

First time trying in this branch and all I can say is fantastic! Had a rough night from work and the foods here just solves everything. The staffs were polite as well.

I love this chain. Burgers are great, staff always friendly and helpful. You can never go wrong with a pistachio milkshake and large fries.

Over hyped burger chain. These were the blandest driest, flavourless burgers I've ever tasted. Worst £35 ever spent. They think that burger relish is one squashed gherkin. No amount of ketchup could give these burgers flavour, best part was the coke drink. Bacon burger x2 Chips x2 Coke x2 £35

Fair portion and price. If you love burgers you can’t say no to five guys. Burgers are super good there. About fries - just remember, if you go alone take a small portion but if you are with one/two people - regular will be enough. Believe me !

I had my order cancelled by a Just Eat delivery driver after I got a notification that it was on the way. I phoned the restaurant and spoke to the manager Hayden who more than sorted everything out. Nice bloke with exceptional customer service skills. Food was perfect too. Will be back.

Burger was not as good as before.

I've never been let down when I go there. I tried the hotdog last time and it was amazing, I highly recommend it.

For fast food, this is the burger to beat! No table service, but always friendly. A fav with my son so always a must on route up to the cinema!

Spent nearly £120 through Deliveroo. Only 7 out of 8 burgers turned up. Tried ringing 5 Guys to sort it but they did not care saying it was Deliveroo’s fault. Everyone we spoke to from 5 Guys were extremely unhelpful. Extremely disappointing given how much we have sent.

Food was cold despite it being delivered on a bike and not having to get stuck in traffic. Burger was even in foil and still cold. Did taste nice once re-heated but not worth the money for cold food.

I've been here quite a few times the burgers are absolutely amazing, and they give you such a big portion of chips. 🙂

Had a fabulous lunch of burgers, chips and milkshake (best milkshakes ever, one pistachio and one reese’s). Everything was delicious. The staff serving were so kind to me (an inexperienced grandmother) and my granddaughter. I was treated with consideration when taking forever to understand the ordering and paying via my Apple Pay having it all explained very kindly. Granddaughter was excited as we had been on our first trip to Southampton (we have moved to the area recently, from Nottinghamshire), for the sales to buy her clothes with Christmas money and have a lunch treat. Unfortunately we did not realise until half an hour after our visit when we were still shopping that we had left a bag of newly bought clothes in the booth. Granddaughter went at a fast pace to see if they were still there and some very kind person had handed them in to the guys serving. They had put the bag in the kitchen for safe keeping awaiting our return. I absolutely cannot thank you all enough as I was very weary having my feet walked off all day and the anxiety of her presents being lost would have caused me serious upset. I have a lot of pain from arthritis and also have heart problems so she made her way back to Five Guys on her own as I slowly followed. You turned what could have been a tragedy into a lovely memorable day. We will return again to thank you all in person.

Cold fries and no ketchup and mayo sachet

Cold burger, 2 sets of cold soggy chips that got instantly binned, no drink delivered.

Staff were rude, I was told I couldn’t use the toilets as they were being painted. I was asked if I could use the toilets next door in the bowling alley.

Absolutely rubbish and pathetic staff , extremely rude. I went to the till to make an order and they refused to take my order how can it possible ? Self called manager Sam was horrible and such a nerd he was …. Please Five guys take a strong action on Sam thank you

Food came fast and fresh wasn't to crowded so got to sit down was a great place to eat after I've just spent all day shopping.

Bacon, way over cooked, so crispy it shattered, aside from that not bad.

Disappointing. £39 for one adult and one child. Over priced, poorly serviced sloppy burgers. Is this really the vision of the Founders?! Tables were a mess, and it was only 19:00, some of the staff were arguing with customers, and the tables were sticky. Don’t listen to the hype and go somewhere else in WestQuay. The saddest thing was when I complained I was fobbed off by someone sat in an office somewhere. Nearly 40 quid for average burgers and a kids meal. Eat in local restaurants instead - chain madness.

Great friendly service. A bit of a wait, but not too much - It just means that your food id being cooked to order and not just picke off a shelf like other places. Just one criticism: Why so many fries? Its too much...

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The location (at the time) was incredibly quiet with a large amount of seating. A quick wait time and excellent tasting food for an affordable price in contrast to other fast food franchises. Overall - Great place to eat in with excellent food!

delIvery was speedy, Met by a friendly guy, burger and shake was Great And fries however were soggY and would have been far better dining in.

Food was ok but not for the prices charged. Burger was excellent but fries and grilled cheese were disappointing. Food arrived relatively quickly.

The food was still hot, chips salty af (how I like them). The only negative was that the estimated delivery time went up by a minute…but that only bothered me because I was hangry. Once I took that first bite though I forgave them immediately x

Excellent service and really enjoyed the hamburger and fries. Freshly cooked burgers and fries. Reasonable prices. Clean environment.

36 pounds for two burgers and chips. No sauce, lettuce, gherkin or tomato on either burger and most the cheese ended up stuck to the foil. We opened our burgers to find they were just balls of meat and dough, very difficult to prize apart to even see if the sauce and lettuce etc were inside. Just terrible presentation and forgot half the ingredients for a premium price. A monkey could have made the burgers better.

Food quality was good but again forgot to add the condiments, I hate not having sauce with my fries.

Hey how you doing you know the worst part is getting a burger with no burger in it. Big ups your kitchen you massive bunch of glands that send our buns. However the fries were good. X

Good business as they know how to scam customers, if everyone is a mug and will pay for oversalted food then fair play. Id rather eat out of the toilet or eat my own mother than the tiny cup of chips thrown in a bag.

I had been looking forward to trying Five Guys for a while, sadly it was very disappointing. Squashed burgers full of gristle at a ridiculous price. I was expecting something exceptional for what I’ve just paid and received something no better than the worst MacDonalds I’ve ever had. Definitely a lesson learned and won’t be making the same mistake again. The size of fries portion were quite large, however they had the visual appeal of a freshly discovered war grave. If you’re considering using Five Guys, I recommend not.

Delivery guy was a legend, friendly & good service kept food hot & dry even in horrible weather!

Came here as a last resort as everywhere else was full, ordered a burger and chips, girlfriend ordered chips and a milkshake. Milkshake came quite quickly, but after a half hour wait, no chips to be seen. We went to investigate only to find that they had forgotten about them, all you had to do was put some chips in a cup. My burger was average; probably could have made it myself. And everyone knows fine guys prices, but it was, as I say, a last resort.

The delivery service was fine. However, I ordered a hamburger with mayo and lettuce. They gave me onions and lettuce instead.
