Amazing food, high quality ingredients, the thickest and nicest bacon I ever had! Always served with a smile! Highly recommended!

A frustrating mix of acceptable and annoying. I've had several "breakfast" meetings at FATB (as it's close to work), but although they have a breakfast menu board out early and menus on the table, the chef doesn't seem to be present at opening, and if you ask the staff, their response is that he usually turns up around 09:00... to me, if you advertise Breakfast and open early surely you should have the place fully operational when the doors swing open!?. On two occasions now (once the chef has arrived of course) I've asked for a meal that includes sausages... but both times have been told they don't have any and they might be delivered later!?... perhaps they should be removed from the menu if they are so hard to get? Atmosphere is.... ok. Seems to get a reasonable amount of people in there (so a bit of a buzz)... but I do think the decor could possibly do with a freshen up.. On the up side, it does a nice coffee and the front of house staff seem friendly... just a couple of things that let it down IMHO

not many vegetarian options for lunch, dirty floor, polish staff cursed in polish a lot ( "kurva"), but drinks were nice and quick service

Just had a pot of tea about 45 minutes before they were closing.Poor member of staff was on there own, trying to do everything and waiting a bit for my tea and then getting closer to shutting for the day.Felt sorry for her, trying to do a closedown,not letting more customers enter while preparing original orders.Tea was fine.Just stopped for refreshment before long walk home.

Best staff and coffee in the area. I pop in regularly most weeks for a great coffee and the staff are always friendly and welcoming, would not go anywhere else for my morning coffee 😊

Walked in and ordered a beef baguette to take away and asked how long 10-15 mins. So walked around the shops and came back 10 mins later, to be told there is no beef. Could of told be that 10 mins ago when I ordered. Said they could do chicken or pork and apple. So OK I'll have pork and apple please. Went back to work, bit into the sandwich only to discover the string had been left on the pork. I don't know who does quality control, but this is pretty shocking when paying a lot for a sandwich.

Our favourite cafe had stopped serving food so we came here for the first time. Unfortunately they had run out of baguettes and some fillings as we came late so I had a cheese and tomato sandwich. The sandwich itself was good but unfortunately there were a number of small bits of ham on the outside of the bread and I don't eat ham. I was a bit put out to be honest as they should prepare vegetarian dishes separately.

Amazingly enough, popped in 30 minutes before the end and they don't seem to want your service. If that's the case then give it to somebody who does need it The two marks by the way, is because they genuinely sell good coffee when you get it

Came here for a coffee and bacon sandwich lovley service and food

Very nice spot just by the Hampton Court Bridge. I met with a friend for some brunch on a Sunday mid-morning. It was super busy as the sun was out, but the food was very tasty and worth the slight wait. Service was very good and attentive, plenty of seating inside and out back! But if you get the chance, take a seat out front and enjoy the scenery and bustling area.

This has become our breakfast stop whenever we're in the area. It's a lovely cafe with friendly staff and great food. Never been disappointed. Edit: three years on and it's still our breakfast stop of choice. Delicious food, reasonably priced and quick service.

We stop here for a coffee / breakfast during walks along the river. They are pet friendly, staff are pleasant and although it's always busy, we have found a table when wanting to dine in.

Five at the bridge is a lovely coffee shop in Hampton Court Village. It has a welcoming homely feel and friendly staff. The coffee is great and the fresh cakes are the highlight, we had a very tasty coffee cake and savoured every bite, amazing.

Slightly on the expensive side, but in line with others around the area. Great food and coffee, and all the staff are so friendly despite working their socks off on a sunny Saturday in November. Thank you.

A warm and friendly welcome and quick service.

First time visiting this place for some lunch. My first thoughts were this is a fab spot with outdoor seating at the back. However despite the location & the potential the premises could present the staff were not friendly & extremely lazy! On their phones whenever they had the chance when the place is desperate for a good tidy up & a clean up. The food was at best mediocre! Definitely won’t be back.

Really don’t recommend this place when there are so many nicer places close by. The food is distinctly average, really quite poor actually, but most disappointing is the staff. Very rude, dismissive, unhelpful and at times insulting. I wish I could find the owner of this business to let them know how much the disengaged staff let them down.

One of our favs place to brunch at after a long walk in Bushy Park, love the views of Hampton court palace when you sit outside. The garden at the back is beautiful and great for a quiet coffee ☕ Good salads and yummy cakes !

I can't rave this cafe enough, firstly it has the best coffee, nice and strong! **chefs kiss** the food menu is brilliant a mix of everything. But most of all its the atmosphere, so relaxed and homely, not pretentious! The staff are just so lovely and treat you like friends. It's just my favourite place to escape to, especially the garden! Ah so so peaceful!!

My wife and I are weekly visitors to Five at the Bridge and have been for a number of years now. The staff are friendly and attentive and the coffee is as good as you could hope to find. We've brought our families along on a number of occasions and have always been well looked after. A great place for all seasons.

Popped in for a coffee and cake to re-fill after charity run. Despite good reviews I found the service quite abrupt. No warm welcoming smile here. When we asked for water to accompany our coffees the waitress slammed these on our table as if we were being a nuisance. As for the coffee my large Capatrino looked more like a straight Americana and certainly less than large. Perhaps the employees should be reminded that there is a lot of hospitality competition in the Hampton Court surrounds.

Spent a nice half hour in the courtyard out the back drinking coffee and eating chocolate cake.

Food is good. service use to be. The waitresses are rude and dismissive. Been a regular for over a decade and the way i’ve just been treated by the waitress i will never go there again. Such a shame they have gone down hill.

Just popped in here for breakfast, it was quiet, two servers behind the counter and I was told to take a seat which I did. Looked at the menu and decided on my order but was ignored for a few minutes by the servers. I called across to them to take my order but they refused saying I had to come up to the counter (3 metres away) to place it. Having manoeuvred around a table to take my seat I didn’t feel it necessary to get up and manoeuvre around it again, especially as they weren’t busy, so asked if they could come over to me but they refused. Now, this place has a good reputation and clearly wants to attract a certain type of customer, but to do so it should provide more than a very basic and unfriendly customer service. The staff were not prepared or trained to do this. Until that changes I shall not be returning! So disappointing.

Terrible customer service last Wednesday (19th Jan) The best we got from the Eastern European waitress with dark hair who served us was a grunt. She delivered our coffees to us outside and I kindly asked if we could have some sugar…..she didn’t say a word just got a nod, almost as if we were putting her out! Needless to say we drank up quickly and moved on. There are so many other beautiful cafes nearby with much better service. We won’t be going there again or recommending to others.

I went there for coffee with my walking group. The decor is lovely though we sat outside in the garden which could be lovely with a bit of work on it. The coffee was good but the staff seemed a bit gloomy and unfriendly.

A bit rude customer service, too expensive and food is just ok. Personally wouldn’t recommend.

Bad customer service, long wait to be served and once served it arrived cold, unapproachable/ moody/ rude staff, when complaining directly to staff the approach is "I am tired and if you don't like it, go", owner not accepting constructive criticism instead telling customers not to return again. I shall definitely not return and advise people to think twice if they wish to visit, there is plenty of other coffee shops in the area.

Located in Bridge Road opposite Hampton Court Station, this place is a hit with regulars. Great coffee, great sandwiches and cooked lunches and really friendly staff. Well worth a visit for locals and visitors alike.

The last review made me smile. The regulars know the lady well and have been regularly ‘entertained’ by her loud and interminable conversations. This cafe has many regulars who appreciate the lovely staff and friendly atmosphere. The food is very good with the best quality locally sourced ingredients - like the home cooked beef, chicken, and top quality smoked salmon. The owner also does amazing lunches - fish cooked perfectly, bolognese, chicken casserole etc. The hot roast pork and crackling rolls on Saturdays are the best. It’s a quirky place but we locals love it!

Having been verbally abused by the owner for being on my phone last week, I can suggest there are other options locally. I’ve been a customer for 7 or 8 years, visiting between 2+ times a week, this came as a sock as he launched at me ranting in the middle of the cafe. I’ve hit my tolerance for male abuse, he totally destroyed my first visit from my bro in 2 years. Seriously no way to treat anyone let alone a customer. This follows an incidence last year where he hired a poisonous school girl who got in the head of one of his permanent staff, the two ran amok bullying one of his best staff for approximately 8 weeks, hiding in the conservatory rather than serving customers, when they turned on me for asking the music to be lowered in order that the customers could hear conversation (the wider team never had a problem lowering the volume), their bad behaviour continued online which was visible, when I eventually scolded the rude staff member, it was eventually partly addressed but it was clear the owner didn’t even bother to find out what had been going on. It’s clear that customer service/longevity is of no value to the café what so ever. If you do cross the threshold you might was to tell them to go light on seasoning.

Nice outdoor seating area with quick service and reasonable prices. What more could you ask for. I had a bacon sandwich which was good.

I’ve been here a few times and have found it OK, although the dated decor isn’t exactly inspiring or fresh, and the food is the cheaper end of the scale for a reason. I’ve also always ignored the fact they do not have high chairs, even though I’ve politely and subtly fed back a couple of times that it would be useful for people with kids. But today was just unacceptable and I feel compelled to comment. This cafe does not have high chairs or children or offer a children’s menu. In a heavily family orientated area like Molesey this surprises me but is also frustrating. But fair enough, not every establishment wants to actively encourage kids. But the general demeanour and attitude of staff there today was unwelcoming and off putting. I asked for high chairs and was simply told there were none, I asked if they did children’s food, again, no; no explanation or apology. Just bored shrugs from staff who looked like they did not want to be there. I said I found the lack of kids options unwelcoming and would like to feed this back to a manager so asked for an e mail address. Next thing I know an angry looking man with no face mask on (who I now know to be the manager) comes out and stands uncomfortably close to my cousin (a nurse so sensitive to covid risk) and asks belligerently what the problem is. I approached and explained the issue. His response? An indifferent shrug and “oh well”. I now get why his staff looked so miserable. What a rude and unfriendly ambassador for a business. At a time when small businesses are struggling and in an area where word gets round very quickly about good/bad places to go, I was astounded by the rudeness and lack of care for customers. I didn’t even get chance to comment that I also felt his staff should be wearing face masks (half were not) Will not be going back here. It needs sorting on many levels if it wants to survive.

The food here is about school cafeteria quality; you can't specifically fault it and it fills a hungry stomach, but when you also consider the prices, it's terrible food. We paid £8 for a take-away brie, cranberry and bacon baguette this morning. Cranberry sauce is cranberry sauce, the brie was mild and nothing special and the two slices of bacon, to be fair, was cooked well, but it's served in a generic catering par-baked baguette and wrapped in cling film. But it was eight quid. It's a shame because it's a lovely spot to take visitors to Molesey to, but it's embarrassingly poor quality food for the price.

I’ve lost all track of time. I’m still here... waiting. I ordered what feels like 3 days ago and still haven’t received my food. My ribs are visible, my clothes no longer fit. They keep coming back and telling me that food will be out in 10 minutes but it never comes. It feels like Groundhog Day. Someone help. Very slow service, can’t speak for the quality of the food because I never ended up eating.

I like theirs cake 🍰 we tried something else today. We had a freshly baked baguette 🥖sandwich!! Brie and cranberry 🍒 I thought 💭 it’s not special. But after one biting, full savory flavor cheese and sweet cranberry it’s really nice combination. I will try other sandwich next time 🥪 Most sandwich £6

We sat outside on a sunny day...a nice setting for people watching. The coffee was very good and the roast beef sandwich was better than you would usually find in a cafe. The only niggle was that the service was a bit off-key, which included several errors on our final bill.

I went with the family for a full English breakfast but unfortunately i was thoroughly disppointed. Prices still remains high but the English breakfast doesnt include beans or sausages or an alternative vegetarian option or choice of brown or white bread. My last visit i think.

Excellent cafe in West Molesey, near Hampton Court Bridge. We just had a coffee, but we noticed an interesting lunch menu. We will be back. We walked there through Bushey Park from Hampton Hill. Perfect point to break the hike before returning along the river and over the Hampton Ferry.

You catch me finishing my coffee following a beautiful undyed, smokey kipper - service was incredibly quick, charming and polite. Delicious toast and marmalade to finish. Exceptional and delicious taste of a forgotten era of British breaking of the fast.

I have been going to this cafe for lunch for just over two years - its really handy for me as I work just round the corner. The food is really top quality and the owner, who is also the chef, gets and cooks everything himself - meat from the butchers a couple of doors down and fresh fish from a local fishmonger. The fish dishes are really good for a sit down meal and I would recommend the beef baguette as a take away. He knows how to cook an egg, which I’ve always thought is a sign of good chef- nothing worse than a snotty egg! Their prices have gone up since the lockdown but then they have in most places.

Great location out front for people watching. Inside smells of the kitchen, more seating in rear garden. No smashed avocados but 'traditional' english breafast and variants thereof well executed. Coffee okay. Veronica is outstanding, otherwise service variable.

No PPE worn by the staff or chef would feel.more comfortable if they at least wore masks .

A custermer was shouting at an employee making racist remarks while the manager did nothing he stated the phrase “the customer is always right” and hearing the woman telling the staff member to “go back to her own country” and other awful language, also moments later the manager decides to tell a bystander to “F off” and to mind her business, an utter disgrace.

I've been going to Five at the bridge for years. Its a lovely cafe ....food is good...i always got for breakfast or brunch. No complaints. Very friendly ..i go with kids.Service is good, staff friendly and fòod always on time and good. In fact im going this morning for breakfast.

This cafe was recommended by locals so I looked in yesterday with colleagues for a working breakfast. The full English was fine and the service efficient but without a smile.The problem was the over acceptance of dogs. One customer sat with a dog on his lapstroking it and then tucked into the croissant and jam.The waitress then fed the dog with bare hands before returning to serving food.Not at all happy with the hygiene arrangements and will not be back.Still the place was 80% full and the regulars seemed oblivious. To be fair to all dogs present they were under control and well behaved.

Bon rapport qualité / prix pour les plats du jour, cuisine simple mais de qualité. Bon sauté d’agneau très ( presque trop) garni en viande avec par contre peu de légumes. Desserts de qualité et environnement agréable.
