Amazing place, food, ethos and people. If compassion and generosity are now counter-cultural, this is a place of radical kindness.

Brilliant space, dedicated hub. Outstanding use of space for the community, supporting Brighton & Hove's locals through delicious homemade, restaraunt standard, vegetarian/vegan food. Healthy and filling meals that are affordable! All proceeds also fund disadvantages homeless / low income / money strapped members of our compassionate Kemp Town area. As most food banks were closed, if the @realjunkfoodproject received further Brighton and Hove City Council funding for 2024/2025 we could prevent further statistics from rising detrimentally to a extreme level. If matters get any worse, due to current statistics, this hub will be a base for anyone struggling during the cost of living crisis. " Many users who have found solice within out meals have gone on to either voulenteer with us or have been signposted to other services" Everyone deserves the right to eat water and food. However, in this country, we are now used to inflated prices. I have never had bad food here. In fact some recipes are created uniquely. "Once you become part of the team, is to realise u are but a cog in a larger machine..."

A wonderful community space, open and friendly. Run by volunteers. Every town should have a place like this.

Fabulous coffee, great atmosphere and friendly staff. We wandered in on a whim, attracted by the enticing aromas of lunch being cooked. Only had time for coffee today, but we’ll be back!

Love the Fitz Cafe! The cakes were amazing and the staff were so lovely! I also loved my sweet potato pasty! The space is great, with big windows, it feels very light and modern. The Real Junk Food project suggest a price for the food and drink, but the food was excellent so paid more as it is ‘pay as you feel’ - such a brilliant project 💚

The cafe at the Fitzherbert is hard to spot behind the high wall along the pavement of Bristol Road - but if you go through the front gate up a gently sloping ramp, suddenly it's there. A nicely designed courtyard with trees and herb gardens, a large window frontage and a lot of tables and chairs in the roomy cafe await! And it's in the sun... Lovely coffees, teas, soups and cake as well as vegetable bakes and roast chicken meals. All depends on the food coming in that day. Definitely recommend.

The Kitchen Cafe is an old school proper English cafe serving perfect fry ups and lovely roast lunches. Places like this have almost completely disappeared. It’s clean, offers friendly service and good cooking of good ingredients. Top tip: order fried potatoes..

To have so many Google reviews at an average of 4.9* is quite something. My only slight concern before arriving was that The WitchEZ wouldn't quite live up to expectations, which were very high. But it did. It is everything other reviewers have said. Cute little location tucked away in the Lanes, quirky and interesting decor and witchy theme. The food was amazing. Some interesting and diverse menu options. My daughter and I had The Sea and Tatra Mountains to start, Witchelicious burger and Rosti for mains. They were all delicious, and meticulously prepared and presented. I'll give special mention to The Sea, such an interesting array of flavours, perfectly balanced. I ate slowly, to savour every mouthful. The service was lovely, the right level of attentive, and just very genuine and nice. It's a fairly small place (not tiny) and it seems they sensibly 'know their limits' on how many tables they can manage at one sitting, to keep standards high. It was a fabulous and joyful experience. Thank you. We'll be back!
