Best ever meal that we have had since moving to the village 15 years ago!

Coffee great! Food, delicious! Friendly staff! A great place to meet up with friends and family. What more can I say?!

Friendly and really helpful staff, with a chef who cares about the food. Good menu. Lovely clean place and loo! Have had several brunch/lunch meals here. Good coffee too. Was there yesterday. Delicious home made cauliflower soup. 😊

Had the pancakes, very enjoyable pancakes light and puffy, bacon crisp. Wait time was a bit long but nonetheless very good service

This is my first visit and I loved it. The gentleman servicing was very attentive and the service was quick. I am used to riding a coffee and waiting 5 min for it to be made but this was within 2 minutes. The food was well presented and tasted amazing. The portion size was decent. For me the only let down was the radio station they were playing, (kiss) this changed the atmosphere from something chilled to a bit more upbeat. I think for an evening that probably Wai d have been fine but for a brunch it was a bit much

Have been to Elate several times for breakfast / lunch. Always a chill atmosphere, staff very friendly and accomodating. The service is timely and with a smile. The food is delicious and reasonably costed - particularly would recommend their crab special. Dog friendly too. Definitely recommended as my go to brunch spot in Rottingdean.

I loved all aspects of this place. Food, service and vibe. The vegan breakfast was superb, as was the GF vegan cheesecake!

This is my first time to elate cafe. The service was good and punctual. The coffe is excellent an full of taste. The breakfast was lovely and well cooked. The sourdough toast is full of flavour. The eggs are great the bacon is full of flavour. The hash browns were good and the baked beans good as well. The sausages were full of meat. Great first time to elate.

Brilliant! The food is very very good, quantity and little fat. Very friendly staff. It was a good experience.

Went for a coffee last week and I have to say beside from the pleasant atmosphere, the young Italian gentleman that served me super nice, friendly and made me a stellar coffee, probably one of the best I’ve had in a while! Would definitely recommend going even if it’s just for a cappuccino!

Came here with my nans for her birthday once, and have never looked back ever since. Every time we come, our server Mattia's kindness, charisma, and professionalism always make us feel so welcome and valued. The coffee is amazing and the food is nice, with a great selection of options to suit all tastes. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, would definitely recommend it.

We were looking for somewhere for brunch on our long journey back home when we found Elate. I loved the menu and had the sourdough, salmon, fresh crab and hollandaise. Fabulous brunch cooked to perfection and the eggs done exactly as I asked. Portion size was really good and so was the price. The lady serving us was friendly, prompt and had a very calm demeanour despite a lot of people arriving all at once. I'd highly recommend.

We stopped for breakfast, the staff were kind and friendly and we also discovered that the guy who served us was Italian... Excellent breakfast with many choices for all tastes... maybe a little too long...

Food was 10/10, lovely coffee, great service, a must visit for breakfast or brunch.

Really nice! Recommend the chorizo and the chips and cheese. Look forward to going back to try some of the other dishes. Also nice just for a drink

Work life balance…. A perfect place to stop for brunch while out on a motorbike ride. The food was lovely and staff were great. I sat in the sun had brunch and watched the world go by before riding on. Thanks and I will definitely return.

This restaurant is so good and serves one of the best burger and pancakes I’ve eaten in my life. The service is really good too and all the staff is kind. If you go to brighton you have to try this.

Fabulous breakfast. Crab, smoked salmon, poached eggs and hollandaise on sourdough…what’s not to like!! Great coffee and great pastries to boot - definitely recommend.

A beautiful place to have a real espresso! The service is excellent, the waiter Mattia is kind and respectful, always ready for any request. The burgers cooked by the chef are amazing! Thanks also to Paola :)

By far the best quality food you can find outside of Brighton. The coffee is strong and warming, and the variety of food is fantastic. Amazing quality without having to deal with the traffic of travelling into Brighton. 10/10

Having had a couple of great brunches at Elate, we thought we would try an evening there and booked for Friday evening. Four of us enjoyed the wonderful tapas fare and we all had a lovely time. I rarely leave reviews but everyone should know what delicious tapas Elate has in a lovely relaxed setting. How wonderful to have such a fantastic restaurant locally.

Our first visit, but definitely not our last, to this fabulous cafe. We both enjoyed (read devoured) our brunch - crab & smoked salmon with poached eggs & hollandaise sauce on gorgeous thick wholemeal toast, washed down with fresh orange juice & coffee. Truly the best brunch we’ve had in East Sussex. Friendly people and a really nice atmosphere. We’ll be back and looking forward to trying other delights from the menu including evening Tapas.

I came here this morning for brunch with my friend. First time I try Elate. It was delicious! Congratulations to the chef, and to the staff in the dining room for their professionalism in their work. Once ordered The wait is pleasant and short. Very friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, great decor for the type of place and great location overlooking the sea and we will be back soon! Brilliant. We dropped in for coffee and brunch. Nice selection of foods. We had the English breakfast and the Vegan breakfast. The avocado was perfectly ripe, the homemade baked beans featured red pepper and a smoky flavour, we enjoyed the topping of pea shoots and found the food flavourful and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the garlicky sourdough with my vegan breakfast. Everything was delicious and the service was professional but also friendly.

I was treated to breakfast today at this new venue in Rottingdean. Lovely staff and great choices on the menu. What really impressed me is they welcome our fur babies! Definitely returning to this place and soon, thank you Elate we were very impressed.

Came here this morning for brunch with my friend. First time trying Elate. It was delicious! I had a veggie brunch and my friend had avocado on toast with poached egg. Very friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and very good location and will be back soon!

Had breakfast here with a friend this morning. I had the chickpea and eggs in tom sauce - he had the pancakes. We both had coffee. Quality of food and drink very good - and service quick (but not rushed), smiley and reasonable price (£15 pp inc tip). Certainly recommend.

Spotted on the other halves daily commute, great kerb appeal. Visited on Saturday for an impromptu visit and shared a wonderful Crab and Smoked Salmon with Poached Eggs, Hollandaise and Sourdough with decent tea and coffee and even better service. The Icing on the cake would be glass of Sparkling Wine, but that will hopefully be the plan in the near future. Look forward to returning and sampling more of the menu.

Exceptional Experience at Elate Coffee in Rottingdean! Elate Coffee in Rottingdean exceeded all my expectations. The Elate Crab Special, featuring locally caught crab, smoked salmon, rocket, chili, lemon, two poached eggs, and toasted sourdough bread, was absolutely delicious. The friendly and welcoming service added to the overall experience. I'll definitely be back and hope they start opening evenings too. Five stars! Also dog friendly and with great wheelchair access.

Lovely cafe, great decor, great coffee, massive food portions and delicious. I had the vege breakfast and partner the English breakfast and I couldn't finish it all. Kids loved the pancakes but had to share as they have no children's menu options. Would love to see some colouring books and pens for kids or a games selection. Staff very helpful and attentive. We will be back!
