I didn’t expect to come to the UK to play The first amazing dinner was at Brighton! The restaurant is in a small alley As soon as you get closer, you can feel the eerie feeling Ring the doorbell at the door and a "wizard" will come to pick you up hhh 🔮🔮🔮 The decoration of the whole restaurant is so beautiful They are all based on the theme of hunted house There are unique devices in every little corner, which is dazzling to see. And it’s not that I don’t like it at all. The food is the most amazing! The menu features cuisine from all over the world These are ideas collected by restaurant owners while traveling around the world. The owners are Polish, so there are a lot of Polish dishes The portion of each dish is also very generous 🎇🎇🎇 I tried two starters this time Just one bite will make you happy hhh But the lights in the restaurant are relatively dim and it really can’t be seen clearly. 🐮beefsteak a la tartare It's a French dish. Raw beef is paired with yolk. It's very refreshing and has a glutinous texture. It feels like there's a celery scent in it~ 🍐summer breeze It’s a sweet and refreshing hot pear! Pears look very pretty hh Turkish date has a strong date flavor Walnuts also have a nutty flavor that is full of aftertaste. But there is goat cheese and you might not be able to get used to it. The waitress is very enthusiastic and cute He carefully introduced many delicious dishes and I had a lot of fun~ Next time I plan to try the recommended Polish dishes little hooves and pierogi (different fillings every day!)

Was so excited to go here and so happy it lived up to my expectations. Price is expensive but you’re paying to experience the place and their delicious food and the lovely members of staff. Everyone was so attentive and friendly. The place is amazingly decorated too! I’m so so happy that I got to experience this place and our server was lovely (wish I remembered her name). Also awesome cocktails, and I’ve tried many cocktails ! Spent roughly £90 for two ppl starters mains and cocktails, so good value for money !

THE best restaurant in the UK. It's so special, we drive 2hrs just to eat here. They may actually be witches, the food has forever been perfect and the atmosphere and staff compete the experience. The borscht with mash is an all time favourite starter, along with the Tatra mountains smoked cheese. The lamb is always incredible, all of their 'little hooves' dishes and all desserts are amazing. The Apple pie cocktail is a winner too, wish we could eat there every day 🧡 (photos are from previous visits before they changed location because we forgot to take any recent visits, but these are still on the menu 🤗)

Yet another fabulous evening at Witchez. Wonderful food, superb service, and a most intriguing atmosphere. Our go to place for a special night out.

To have so many Google reviews at an average of 4.9* is quite something. My only slight concern before arriving was that The WitchEZ wouldn't quite live up to expectations, which were very high. But it did. It is everything other reviewers have said. Cute little location tucked away in the Lanes, quirky and interesting decor and witchy theme. The food was amazing. Some interesting and diverse menu options. My daughter and I had The Sea and Tatra Mountains to start, Witchelicious burger and Rosti for mains. They were all delicious, and meticulously prepared and presented. I'll give special mention to The Sea, such an interesting array of flavours, perfectly balanced. I ate slowly, to savour every mouthful. The service was lovely, the right level of attentive, and just very genuine and nice. It's a fairly small place (not tiny) and it seems they sensibly 'know their limits' on how many tables they can manage at one sitting, to keep standards high. It was a fabulous and joyful experience. Thank you. We'll be back!

Spot on experience! We both had steak tartare and then potato dumpling main. Extensive menu - could deffo picked more dishes! Lovely wine recommendation and exceptional service. A well oiled ship! Definitely one to try!

Chanced our first visit here with Mother and Father in Law (one loves witches and the other is half polish). Absolutely perfect evening! Loved the design of the restaurant, the service, and most of all the food. Excellent value and will be back!

Over phone told me to come over, when I did (30 min drive), they just said we don’t have any tables available. And manager wasn’t even apologetic. No from me I showed them phone I called and they confirmed that’s them

TheWitchez is a hidden gem in the Lanes, perfect for more intimate dining with family, friends, or partners. The food is second to none, and so are the beautifully made cocktails and selected wines. What makes this place over the top amaaazing is the staff and the entire vibe of the restaurant. It’s dimly lit, with maximalist witchy decor making it such a beautiful place to dine. The staff are each so so lovely, and are super friendly and informative. Definitely worth it (if you can get a table!) My sister and I preordered the fondue when we booked and it didn’t disappoint - it was rich and decadent and came with a variety of fresh veggies/fruit, pickles, and a lovely basket of bread.

Two for dinner on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant is comfortable and quirky, the staff are attentive and the food is excellent. The Hunters stew was rich, and served in a bread bowl that was simply excellent. The lamb steak was cooked perfectly. It's not cheap, but the portion sizes are generous and felt like excellent value overall. Highly recommend and will be back

More than an hour and a half wait for food which was ok. I would not recommend unless you have a lot of time for waiting for good but not exceptional food.

Really lovely 'hidden gem' in the middle of Brighton. Great decor and atmosphere, so many interesting things to look at. The staff are very friendly. The food is an unusual mix of maybe Eastern European? Our rosti and schnitzel were delicious and very generous portions. Can't wait to come back and try some other things.

A real hidden gem 💎, we've walked past it a few times and didn't know it existed! The menu outside is short, inside there are many more options. The food is very tasty, I haven't eaten such a flavorful tuna in a long time. The ingredients are of very good quality. Great decor referring to witches and witchers. It's really worth a visit 🌟

Personal highlight of our trip to Brighton! We booked online for an evening meal that same day and were greeted at the door and taken care of by multiple members of staff, all of whom were super friendly and added to the overall experience. We loved the food, portions are generous and the quality is fantastic. I had the hunters stew (Bigos) which was new to me and incredible! The mix of meats and the flavours combining brilliantly into a loaf of delicious bread works brilliantly. On the walls are loads of pictures & memorabilia which had us smiling and laughing with the various puns, it added to the wonderful atmosphere which is so unique and something I encourage everyone to go see. We will absolutely go back the next time we visit Brighton!

We ordered bigos which was served in a hollowed out loaf of bread. Bigos was good however the bread was stale, not edible at all. Feedback was given to a waiter but there was no redress. We also ordered Polish sausage which was served with fried onion, chips and salad made mostly from diced onions…The sausage was good but the onion salad let the dish down considering the price. Customer service was pleasant and mostly professional. The music was a bit loud for comfort. A bit disappointing.

Great quirky restaurant. Smoked cheese starter was delicious. Quite a strong after taste, Had to leave my beer for a while as it impacted the taste. Nice draught ale. The witchalicious burger and Chicken Schnitzel went down really well as mains. Service was slower than we wanted, but the kitchen was under pressure as a chef called in sick. We were looked after by the servers. Thank you! Highly recommend this restaurant. Expansive menu, I'd love to try more!

Absolutely Fantastic restaurant. Diverse food. Brilliant decor. Excellent staff. Happy accommodating. Great food. Sumner breeze starter. Warm pear, goats cheese, walnuts , salad. Balsamic vinegar Absolutely delicious. £9. Melt in the mouth pear. Just enough cheese. Great garnish. Served on a slate Witchy burger. Huge. Lovely succulent burger. Polish sausage. Pepperoni. Peppers, mushrooms, onions , saurkraut. And a huge pile of fries in a wooden board £20 may seem expensive but well worth it. Rhubarb and raspberry with warm custard. One of the best crumbles I've had just enough zing in the rhubarb combination of raspberries and a little mixed fruit yummy. Crumble made of real oats. It's in the Lanes Brighton so no parking available. Great loos.

Lovely staff and great menu. Menu showcased signature dishes from around Europe. Felt comfortable and cosy. Service was attentive and pleasant and the food was really flavoursome. A hidden gem in plain sight.

We had the pierogi, pear salad plus polish sausage and beetroot soup on the side. We enjoyed everything!! Lovely, unique decor and our server was lovely and super helpful. Wish we had space for dessert as they all sounded delicious too!

Thewitchez has amazing atmosphere and food! Absolutely loved dining there, the staff are quite friendly and really take care of you. The space is also very well balanced, with a good table/room ratio. I especially liked our starter, a polish smoked cheese - absolutely delicious!

Had a great time in this restaurant it’s very quirky with a great atmosphere, lots to look at on every wall and shelf. The food was reasonably priced for Brighton and the portions are big! Everything we ate was top class, wine and beer also good with lots of choices. We definitely would go again but make sure we are very hungry when we arrive!

You should go for just the atmosphere, the decor is fantastic but the staff, food and drinks are also fantastic!

It really is a gem of a place. So many tasty dishes to wet your appetite. The service is great and the atmosphere they have created makes for a fun experience. We will be going back for sure!!!

Very friendly & helpful staff. Welcoming with offers to explain menu and tastings of beverages before making choices. Varied menu and both starter and mains were delicious. The Grenache rosé wine was a good accompaniment to the meals of the schnitzel and rosti dishes. Good sized portions and nice coffee to complete the meal. Fantastic, eccentric, amusing interior to the restaurant with the added bonus of a very old black & white silent movie projected on the ceiling. Well recommended.

Yummmm, I’m going to be thinking about that lunch for a long time. We ordered a rösti with polish sausage and the perogies, both were fab. Staff was so lovely. It was a bit dark inside but that added to the witchy vibes!

I ate here last night for the first time and it has honestly become my favourite place in Brighton. From the interesting exterior to being ushered warmly into the sanctum sanctorum by one of the WitchEZ, it feels like you're entering another world. And the atmosphere really imprints itself on you and heightens the eating experience in my opinion. The inside is gorgeous and well-decorated, it's nice and cozy without feeling claustrophobic. If you're looking for somewhere with a personality, this is definitely the place to eat. I didn't get the name of the WitchEZ who served us but they were both absolutely lovely and friendly and engaging, even with last night being a busy night, so I hope they see this feedback because they deserve all the praise for excellent service. The food was delicious, I had the Greek salad and it was well-presented and tasted great. And for dessert I had some lovely potato dumplings with sugar, cinnamon and cream - a really nice and light dessert that tasted sweet, but not too sweet. To drink, I had one of the signature cocktails and I got great value for my money - and the potion tasted lovely. Obviously, in these hard economical times people always want to know 'how costly is this place to eat?' and I would say that this place is really well-priced actually. And yet it doesn't sacrifice quality for cost, so rest assured your food, drinks and service will still be exemplary. I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend this place - if that isn't obvious from the length of this review. If you're visiting Brighton and want somewhere unique and interesting to eat - this is definitely the place to go. I really hope I get to come back again.

This is by far one of the best restaurants I have eaten at. Walked out of our hotel restaurant as we where so disappointed. But how happy we where to stumble on this gem of a place. Just make sure your hungry. Very good portion sizes. Would highly recommend. Staff are so lovely and attentive too. Even though they must be so hot as it is quite warm in there. 5*

Wow, the most incredible experience. The harshest inner critic inside me couldn’t find any fault if I wanted too. The food was incredible, beyond explanation, with the most impressive variety of mouthwatering flavours. The restaurant decor, the brainchild of the owners, is a mix of quirky and fascinating and works so well. The staff were so attentive, friendly, helpful and able to fluently explain the eclectic menu. The pricing was extremely good value. If we were local to the area, this would easily become our go to haunt! Thanks Witchez team, we will back, one day!

Honestly, this is my new favourite restaurant in Brighton and I can't believe it took me so long to finally go here. From start to finish the experience was phenomenal. It's a very private restaurant so you have to ring a bell and be let in which adds to the overall experience. You can choose to be seated in the main hall or the library area (which seats up to 14 people). The main hall honestly feels like you're inside of a restaurant straight from Diagon Alley. Tables have cool lights on them and there are cabinets with unique trinkets in them. The bar area is also super cool and you can watch as your drinks are made. The menu offers dishes from different parts of the world but a lot of them are Polish and Swiss. There is a great selection of starters, mains and desserts as well as drinks. If you're looking for somewhere to try polish vodka - this is the place. Our server Kacper was very attentive and explained dishes well. We were a big table and we all started by sharing some Oscypek and breads to dip. The selection of bread with oil was great and I liked that every piece of bread was different so you could try different things. The oscypek tasted like the authentic one you get in Zakopane and brought me straight home. It was interesting that they paired it with mango sorbet - such a unique twist. For mains we all got different things. My partner got the bigos which was served in a bread bowl just like they would do in Poland. The portion was huge and even as someone with a large appetite he couldn't finish it. I got the pierogi which on the day were cabagge and mushroom or potatoes, cottage cheese and onion and our server let us know that we could get a mix so that's what I went for. I ended up also ordering a cup of beetroot soup. The pierogi were tasty but I found that the soup could have been more seasoned. My friends really enjoyed their food too, which was evident by one of them constantly whispering under his nose 'damn this is so good' - he got the rosti with jalapeno and polish sausage. We were all so full after the meals but one of my friends got Gelato for dessert and on the day that we visited they had a very large list of flavours on offer. The gelato was so creamy and flavoursome. Our favourite was the Turkish delight. As someone who doesn't drink, I found that the cocktail selection was also good and the drinks were refreshing. The bathrooms are creepy with the art on the walls and an experience of their own 🤣 We will be back soon!

Such a great experience. Everything about our dinner was fantastic - the welcome, the service, the food, the drinks and all so reasonable. One aspect I thought was great was that in this age of restaurants just arbitrarily adding between a 15 - 20 “service charge” Thewitchez backs its product by leaving it to customers to tip if they wish to. Given how fantastic our experience was and how reasonable the price was we were very happy to tip.

Had such a lovely comforting meal here with a friend. Delicious Polish food, friendly service and such a fun quirky space. I will be back, often.

Quirky restaurant, serving amazing food. The menu is mainly based around eastern european food. Proguies, chicken snitzel, fish alsace. The plates came heaving with food and tasted amazing. The people were very friendly. We could not recommend it highly enough.

Was on a day trip down to Brighton on Sat 1st July. I noticed the high 4.9 rating and decided to try it out around 4pm. Very impressed with the service and layout. The Steak tartare was the best I've had outside of France. The cheese Fondue and Rosti for mains were equally as delicious. Will be sure to return to try out more of the menu. This isn't a restaurant, its an experience. In the best way possible i felt like I was at a restaurant at Disney. The staff are incredibly kind and seem to love working here. The house beers are fantastic. I LOVE the food. Where else can you find hearty mountain food like Czech fried cheese, swiss cheese fondue, and shnitzel around Brighton?) Just look at the place! It felt like we were sat in a haunted mansion. We spent the entire time gawking at the decorations as we enjoyed our food. A must visit!

Me and my partner came here for dinner on our holiday and our meal was perfect. The atmosphere is 10/10 with amazing lighting and good music to fit the aesthetic of the restaurant. The food was incredible. My girlfriend is polish and ordered the pierogi and said that it was the best she’s ever had, and I ordered the lamb steak and, I cannot stress this enough, it was easily the best food I have ever eaten in my life. The service was also absolutely perfect, our server Lilly was kind, polite, gave loads of recommendations and was just all around a pleasure. If you’re in Brighton you need to check this place out. It was literally the best part of our trip and is amazing value for money.

I dont want you to come here, but thats me being selfish because I want the place all to myself. Don't be phased that it is called the witchez and is also a photo design place. Some of the best food in brighton, and the Irish lady who is often the waitress there is very kind and makes us feel at home. It's the kind of place that I trust whatever is on the menu because they make consistently great food. **edit** very sad to update that the irish lady is no longer there, and for this reason it loses a star for me. The other members of staff are nice enough but they don't remember you and don't give you that extra attentive service we were getting previously. Still good food. I recommend the little hooves, quarantuna, and the Swiss mountain cheese. Just go try anything, it's delicious.

Immerse yourself in exquisite experience of flavours, unusual Halloween/dark decor and the friendliest of waiting staff. I've wanted to come back to the 'new' location for a while and booked a table for my birthday. We had a lovely table with very attentive male waiter who didn't shy away to speak Polish with us. Had been given the yummiest drinks. My Apple Pie was so delicious and the glassware just stunning. Nothing was too much trouble. My sister is a very demanding customer and there had been occasions where restaurants found her challenging. However The WitchEZ had made her every quirky request met with a smile and spring in their feet. Definitely the highlight of our visit is the food. We had The Sea for starters, served with a shot of Mad Dog which is my absolute favourite and was made to perfection, sauerkraut and mushroom Pierogi served with rich and flavoursome beetroot borscht and Quarantuna for mains, never skip a dessert! My husband had a crumble which he described as the best he ever had. My little hooves were just as wonderful, sweet and fluffy as I remembered. It's a hidden gem and hopefully stays hidden as I'd love to come back very soon.

Love it, love it. We visited the last time we were in Brighton at the last location and loved it then, too. The new location in the lanes is even better. From the moment we entered the door through the mysterious curtain, I had my camera out where to look such great decor and staging. The service and food were delicious. This is such a gem of a place, and I hope it will always keep its charm, and of course, we need a table every visit to Brighton. There are too many 5 star reviews 😀 only kidding. We willl be back.

I had my 50th birthday meal at the Witchez, so glad we chose this restaurant. We were greeted at the door by friendly, chilled staff who attended to us all evening. Food was amazing, great cocktails too, and the atmosphere created with their unique decor and table spacing made for a wonderfully intimate experience. Highly recommend !!

This is an interesting and unusual place, and in a good way. Witchcraft-themed ambience and decor matched with hearty European mountain-style food, and reasonably priced. What more could you ask for?

Absolutely fantastic restaurant!! We 1st discovered ThewitchEZ about 2 years ago when they were by the seafront, and we had the most amazing time then!! Now, they have moved to their new location in the lanes. I'm so glad that nothing has changed! Well,... apart from getting better, that is!! Everything we love about the old place is still there, along with loads of new things to discover. And the food is out of this world!! Along with the drinks!...I'm sure my girl would recommend the espresso martini with hazelnut vodka!!! 💜😘💚 All in all, we would highly recommend ThewitchEZ to everyone whoever visits or lives in Brighton!! We love this place and call it "our restaurant" can't wait to return later in the year!! 💚💜

Charming Venue with a Side of Caution I recently visited a venue that struck me with its unique atmosphere and charm, creating a delightful setting for dining out. The staff were exceptional - friendly, engaging, and highly attentive to the patrons' needs, contributing to a wonderful overall experience. The food, initially, seemed bursting with flavor, promising a memorable meal. However, despite the culinary delights, some of the meat dishes were slightly dry. A more concerning issue arose the following day, as all members of our party experienced stomach discomfort to varying degrees, suggesting a potential lapse in food safety standards. Had it not been for this unfortunate aftermath, my experience would have warranted a 4-star rating. While the venue's ambiance and service are commendable, future patrons might want to proceed with caution when it comes to dining options.

Everything about this stunning restaurant is intriguing. From the outside it’s not entirely sure what you’ll be walking into! The buzzer at the door, the witchez greeting you, decor, service, food all impeccable. Cannot wait to return! Be warned…large portions and potions await so don’t over order!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! what a beautiful place!!! I don't even know where to begin! I found this place by mistake, as I was getting lost in the laines on Sunday. It was unfortunately closed at that time, but I just felt like I have to come back. Today was the day! I got there with my friend, and we didn't know we needed to make a reservation, but it happened that they had a table for us. I fell in love with the place straight away. The decor was really sweet and homely, and it made you feel like you're in your own little book nook. The books on the table were definitely an amazing addition, and that chandelier? A witch's kiss! The food? Listen, I'm East European and the menu had dishes that are part of many other cultures from that areas, and it made me feel so at home, I nearly cried. The staff were incredibly lovely, friendly and helpful! Thank you so much for having us! Can't wait to come back 💚

I love this place! Great atmosphere, perfectly pitched to be interesting without getting boring. Lots of nooks and crannies that are well dressed to fit the theme. Very friendly service, and food is excellent. No children are allowed as it's an adult only venue. Now moved to the Laines so more central and bigger. Keep it up!

A wonderful evening spent in very cosy, unique surroundings with plenty of spooky pictures and ornaments to give a real genuine theme to the place. The staff were excellent and looked after us well, including our dog, making intelligent adjustments to make sure he was also considered. The food was excellent and we all had plenty of food without adding extra sides or even having starters. The food was hot but not spicy and well presented. A wonderful evening out and very reasonably priced considering how well we were looked after.

So delicious. I forgot how HUGE the lamb steak is. Make sure you come hungry!

Not sure why this place has such good reviews of food. The staff were very friendly and attentive but the food was not brilliant, ok/acceptable but not brilliant.

We had a fantastic meal here. A really interesting menu miles away from anything we’ve had before, portions were generous and delicious- the beef stew and Bavarian schnitzel were both absolutely delicious. The staff could not have been kinder and more welcoming and made the experience super enjoyable. We felt it was excellent value for money and will definitely be recommending to friends. I’m just gutted I didn’t check the menu before going and pre book the fondue!!

This is my most favourite place in Brighton. Absolutely the best. The food , the service and the decor for those of a darker mind will love this place. Highly recommend. Whenever I'm in Brighton I always come here 5⭐
