Popped today for the first time, incredible customer service, plenty of choice of food options and staff were super friendly will definitely grab lunch here again! I had a baguette and they filled it right to the brim very tasty!

Stumbled upon this cute little shop randomly when searching for food locally, the person who served me was excellent and the value for money was amazing! I would add signs to the sandwich fillings though because of my disability I find it hard to remember information when it's listed out to me, the server was very helpful though :)

I just had a lovely lunch here. The staff are really friendly and happy to make recommendations. We turned up just before 12 and sat in the window just before the lunchtime rush. "Lots of regulars usually means one thing", I mentioned to my lunchtime accomplice, and I was right, the vegan baguette and sausage roll I had was perfect. My top tip is the vegan meatballs.

My 12 year old just said “This is the best baked potato I’ve ever had”.

Been meaning to write a meaningful review of this great little oasis of a Deli for some time. Great food brilliantly served up by a mother and son partnership with uber loving care. If they don't have the dish you're after, ask as they may be able to knock one up for you. Service is above and beyond and the main ingredient seems to be love, attention to detail & friendship....my regular morning pitstop for brekky and lunch.....André

Kemptown in Brighton is filled with many hidden gems as it's off the beaten path and Castles is definitely one of those hidden gems. A delightful sandwich shop with fresh fillings, homemade cakes made with love and other sweet delights, incredibly well priced and friendly helpful staff who in no way rush you even when there's a queue forming outside. We have been going there for years, so that should say it all.

Near EF School, I will never forget the kindness of the owners. They made me feel at home even though I was a student abroad. The products were very good and varied. I recommend it. I miss you

Im not sure what was wrong with this place but the lady serving was not very polite and the sandwhich was not the best really.

Best sandwich shop I've ever been too, I have no idea what people are ordering that they aren't happy with, as I've been here over 30/40 times and every time it is perfection, and shout out too the lovely staff!

It's an ok place to get a bite to eat. Felt the price for what I ordered was slightly on the steep side Vs quantity of ingredients in it. The staff here are friendly and helpful, but I guess gotta try everywhere at least once to work out if it's right or not.

Really good made to order baguettes, baps, or sandwiches. Alternatively a salad box. Loads of choice and really good value. You can order by phone in advance and pick up later to avoid the lunchtime queue

Great sandwiches at good prices. If there's anything i could complain about it was the sandwich was so full i had trouble eating it. But then that's not somthing i would ever complian about. You will have trouble finding better in Kemptown

I have been going to castles for a couple of years now and they are brilliant, always very friendly staff and up for a chat. The sandwiches are always excellent and so many options to choose from that you never get bored of going. All in all great place for a take away lunch and very reasonably priced

Great food, nice relaxed atmosphere, the guy who works here is so lovely and always has a nice chat with me. Always prompt service and a fabulous little shop with lots to offer - highly recommend!

Lovely two guys who run the place and offer a really 'above and beyond' service. Happy to deliver to most parts of the hospital. Huge selection of sandwiches and homemade pastries and cakes on offer.

Excellent lunch menu, friendly staff

Absolutely outstanding food served by two brother in laws with a real passion for it. Since the pair took over word has spread around the local business about how they're the new place to go for lunch. They use a combination of their own livestock and locally sourced ingredients. Go for their Thursday beef special if you want to be blown away!

I cannot recommend this hidden sandwich shop enough. Always great food, wonderful service. Whether you are on a lunch break, going on a romantic picnic or visiting hospital this is the place for more than just a sandwich you also get a smile! And they deliver!

Our regular visits to Brighton Hospital invited opportunities to seek out a local coffee shop. Castles was a regular haven amidst our crisis. The food was sarnies with a smile. I would always recommend this place for the quality of food and customer service. Imaginitive, and cheerful. Thank you.

Fab place for a great sandwich. Really good selection. Ran by two top guys who always cheer me up when I'm flagging on my lunch break and they make some lovely flapjacks/other treats too! Highly recommended.

The people who run this sandwich bar could not be more helpful. A wide choice of freshly made sandwiches and salads. With a days notice they will even do a shepherds pie or lasagne. Very close to the hospital and they offer a delivery service too. Homemade cakes are a delight. Service with a smile and a bit of a chatter.
