I broke my vegetarianism after a few years just once to treat myself to a fish and chips which I have been craving and felt like I've earned it. The battered haddock fillets were generous in size and cooked perfectly. The chips were proper chip shop chips cooked perfectly as well. Nothing was greasy at all. They kept the vinegar on the side which was a bonus. Nicely presented delivery and the courier was polite and friendly. I researched best chippy in MK and this came up. I agree 👍

we didn't get my drink with my child meal

Shocking! Stopped on my way home from work, 2 lots of people in front of me who had already ordered no problem, waited 10 minutes without even a "i will be with you soon" then tried the touch screen to order which gets to the payment screen before it does not work, one buch of customers that left had come back in as they forgot a portion of chips they needed to order & understand they were served tp prevent the rest of the order getting cold,still not even hello from the one guy serving then I was amazed that a takeaway delivery guy walked in & they just started getting served! I walked out as I can't believe how rude the service is & drove to stony stratford (miles out of my way) and one of the three people serving greeted me "hello sir how can I help?" As soon as I walked through the door getting served immediately, think some basic manners would be a start & serving people as they arrive might help this business

I ordered a jumbo sausage and what was supposed to be a large portion of chips, but the experience was thoroughly disappointing. The so-called "large" portion was so meagre it would barely pass for a regular serving. The chips were pale, soggy, and lukewarm, lacking any appeal or freshness. This place has noticeably declined in quality recently, and the portion sizes and standards are frankly embarrassing. Unless there’s significant improvement, I won’t be returning.

Gave us the completely wrong food. Gave us chicken instead of fish! We live the complete other side of Milton Keynes and thought we would try as we were going past. Will not be eating from here again! When calling to advise they had given us the wrong food and there is a difference in price between the fish and the chicken, they said we could get some fish the next time we go in even after explaining we don’t live locally. Absolutely rubbish and useless. Awful service from staff when making a complaint and it cannot be that hard to get the order right especially as it was dead in there. Definitely won’t be back and would not recommend.

I had to go out to find the driver, if i hadn't, it would have been another 10 minutes. food was great.

Food was over an hour late, most items were cold. The ice cream we ordered (£5.95) )wasn’t available so they substituted with lemon sorbet. I would rather have a refund than be given something I don’t like and didn’t order!

The batter on their fish is fantastic—light and not greasy like most chip shops. The service is great, and the food is top-notch. The chips are of the highest quality, which probably explains why they keep winning awards. It's easily the best fish and chip shop in Milton Keynes! They also offer a wide variety of other delicious food, but I always stick with the classic fish and chips.

Favourite fish n chips shop in Milton keynes. Always fresh. Can't believe how expensive it's become over the years now. Takeaway is not as cheap as was. Never disappoints on quality of the fish.

Found delivery plaice and chips fish very dry and the chips had to be eaten right away otherwise we're unpleasant very expensive for the quality

the food was lovely but would recommend small chip and fish each or 1 fish and chips between 2 as they provide lots. bw careful of delivery times. it kept on changing and took just under an hour's fir delivery

Disappointing t/away at Fish N Chicken Shenley Church End. I had the Saturday Haddock offer (a medium haddock with chips). The Haddock itself was ok however to me this was a small portion and not medium as ordered. The chips were below average & appeared to have been cooked considerably earlier. Overall I was not impressed.

Used this place a few times and no problems but today the worst chips ever all claggy and stuck together and the battered sausage over cooked. All consigned to the food waste bin. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I am a regular customer and always experience a good quality and quantity of food with 2 small cod and chips. However today I was very disappointed with the quality and size of the fish. it didn't even look like a fish. I'm hoping this isn't the way forward. I'm sorry to complain but like I said myself and my partner have been regular customers for years and have never been disappointed with the quality and quantity.

The food is rubbish!!! Never will I waste £9.45 for sausage and chips and a bag of chips. Spoilt my experience of craving for chips.

Terrible service , went in and paid £43 3 fish and 3 chips couple sausages and bread rolls, only to get home and realise there was no fish !! Went back to complain not 10 mins had passed and they refused to give me what id paid for acted really smug and ignorant. To do this on a holy day is shocking they should never be used. take your money elsewhere people please listen.

30 minute wait for sausage and chips. Food OK but staff didn’t have a clue what they were doing. Slow and ineffective service and complete confusion with in store, on line, and delivery orders. Not returning there again

Chips were cold, ordered 4oz pot of tartare sauce got pod that they charge half the price for so was overcharged. Also mozzarella sticks like rubber and tasted of fish. Not a good experience

Decent fish and chips by Milton Keynes standards. I got a large Haddock, chips and salt n pepper squid, cost around £21, so on the expensive side. Everything was decent enough.

Sometimes I get the fish and chip craving. The fish and chips here has always been good, and I especially like it when they have their lunch time offer.

The fish was cooked perfectly and hot. Four stars because the chips were not very hot and seemed as if they may have been waiting around for a bit, but it was a generous portion.

Over an hour left until closing I watched through a locked door the teenagers laughing whilst dishing out chips into boxes. I knocked on the window and I asked why they were closed to be told, and I quote "we had to close early cos we like run out of chips" 😲

The food is expensive but decent but the service is beyond awful. There is a screen to order from but it never seems to work, though there’s no sign on it to tell you not to waste your time. I ended up ordering online instead as the queue was so slow. The collection time was 5 minutes later but in fact even 25 minutes later my order, which was not complicated, was still not ready. The staff serving all seemed very inexperienced and mostly confused. Dreadful experience.

Pricey. Large chips, medium cod and curry sauce for £16. Food was ok, not amazing. I was expecting a bit more of a wow factor for the price. All food came in boxes. Why? Just use paper. Waste of cardboard and I’m sure it adds to the price. Waiting time was a bit long. 3 minutes before I was even acknowledged. Probably won’t be using this place again. Disappointing.

Fish and chip with great gluten free options. Their haddock is excellent and their chips are fantastic. Good gherkins, too.

Have ordered here a few times but this time turns up late, cold and main meal others missing. Trued calling them twice but no answer, can't contact just eat as uts automated and I don't want a refund I want the meal I have just paid for...simple really but you can't do simple.

We ordered i small cod and large chips; 3 extra very small ( about 5 in long and 1.5 in across), fish pieces were delivered but THEY WERE ROTTEN and unpleasant, and also potentially DANGEROUS TO EAT.

Haven't had a bad meal yet. The lunchtime portions are just the right amount. A good deal with the drink too.
