Love their outdoor area so much, it's everything you need during summer. A great place to grab a drink with friends.

Rough. Arrived Saturday night after they'd stopping selling food. DJ playing to no more than 20people. Not the traditional pub described in the reviews.

First and last time visiting The Cricketers unfortunately. Lovely looking pub from the outside nice and cosy decor sadly ruined by the incredibly rude member of staff serving behind the bar, made to feel very unwelcome upon arrival, was visibly frustrated with being asked for wine recommendations and had absolutely no interest in giving even the basic level of customer service opting for a aggressive and confrontational approach. A truly unpleasant experience.

Excellent place for watching the football

Staff are excellent. Lovely food which is great value. Cannot complain about anything.

Staff are super friendly, with a nice family atmosphere. Very allergen conscious, as my partner has a nut allergy. They took the time and effort to make sure the kitchen was safe.

A very honest proposal of a pubwith decent atmosphere, nice areas outside, and good service. At times it is slow as understaffed and the food feels like it is from yesterday so I can not give 5 stars but I feel if they are better staffed the food would also be better.

Very good place for spending time with friends

The people there are racist and absolutely rude , went there on a night out with my friends first thing they came and ID all of us which is understandable , then we felt a weird uncomfortable stare coming from the staff and made us feel like we are the odd ones out then as we were leaving we finished our drinks and then they asked us to leave very rudely . Do not recommend coming here . Ever

Came here looking for a local pub, for an evening meal while on a business trip, weekday so very quiet, we were all impressed with the food and the competitive pricing

A group of 4 of us arrived Saturday night for drinks to watch the darts. We're not from the area and never been before but was made to feel so welcome by the staff and regulars. We had such a great time and bar staff were amazing. When am next in Milton Keynes I'll be making sure to come back and say hello. Thank you for the fantastic hospitality.

Decided to go as its the closest pub with a dart board. Really friendly staff and very clean. I had the bangers and mash. Wow it was so tasty. Deffinately recommend. Darts, pool and good prices.

Made me and my 2 boxer dogs very welcome and made room for dog beds so they would not get under any feet

Went here for a quick visit and a spot of lunch, nice and tidy pub to be found on Oldbrook. Staff very welcoming on arrival and pub being set up for Xmas party so getting busy, they have a decent selection of lagers, ales and wines at decent prices. The food menu is varied and have to say decently priced, we had Lasagne served with a side salad and garlic bread, also steak and Ale pie with chips and peas with a jug of gravy. The food was nice and hot and a good portion size, the only issue they were both slightly overdone and a bit crispy on the edge but overall tasty. It was exceptional value as both meals came in at under £13, so to be honest it was great value overall. There is good onsite parking here, and excellent facilities for people with mobility issues. Yes would recommend a visit, and we will be returning.

Just been in there. Slovenly and lazy attitude from the bar staff. Didn't clear our plates for so long I got sick of looking at them and took them up myself. A customer service course would be good for them ,they have a never had one obviously.

Huge change since new manager Dan has taken over. Old & New faces returning. Lovely clean, really friendly staff. Food is much better also with a new menu, and entertainment nights are back on as well. Just what this pub needed, furniture, all been reupholstered looks much better and freshly decorated..

Lovely friendly local pub, we had a warm welcome from the landlady and staff. The Sunday roast was delicious. Milton’s Keynes best kept secret ♥️I would definitely recommend a visit and I will definitely return to this great establishment ♥️

Haven't been here for ages. But had ta for a wake. They did a great job of taking care of the needs of the customers. Fair play. One love 💚

Great place to hang out and delicious food

Brilliant atmosphere and very friendly and welcoming staff, you almost never want to leave, They have a pool table, darts area as well as many board games and events like bingo, would highly recommend to anyone in Milton Keynes.

Had a few hours to kill after taking granddaughter to interview. Meal was cheap and but tasted good . Gamon steak good wife had scampi good aswell .beer good service excellent.

Sells gluten-free in bottles. Good local pub in Oldbrook Milton Keynes overlooking the sports field. Nice on a summers day to sit outside.

Low brow clientele. Left quickly when even the barman started swearing at the football.

Always have the best experience here, can never complain with the food made by the chef Steph and always a service with a smile from Luke at the bar. Absolutely love this pub.

Great wee pub had a blast with the staff, Dave was as mad as a brush when he found out we were from Scotland he started pouring shotts of whisky to see how long we would last needless to say he called a taxi and made sure we all got back to the hotel top bloke

Brilliant big pub and close to city centre friendly staff free wi-fi live tv sports brilliant pool table and dart board toilets are clean great food and cheap I ain't been here since the pandemic so visited today and played 4 games of pool not great price for £1.50 but still worth it and had a pint of diet coke and prawn crisps probably my favourite Greene King pub in MK

Great pub in the heart of oldbrook, I had a fantastic afternoon today,met up with a friend had a lush lunch (fish & chips mushy peas with a side of tarter sauce & bread & butter followed by a few games of prize bingo :0) would definitely recommend this pub great food & the staft are friendly. Lots of options on the menu to choose from . The toilets are spacious & clean,The outside is lovley & clean. The pub is child friendly & accross the road is a park .

Ok for the football, nice outside area in nice weather

On Sunday 17th December we had a family Christmas lunch at the Cricketers before going to the Panto in MK. We’d booked a table for ten adults and two small children and were very impressed to find that our table had been prepared very well with complimentary Christmas crackers and children’s variety packs. We had pre-ordered the food, which was served promptly and was nicely cooked. Dan and his colleagues were very welcoming and the overall cost for both food and drink was very acceptable. We would have no hesitation in recommending this pub to anyone.

Went today and the girl working on the bar in the nicest possible way seemed like she didn't have a clue. She seemed very forgetful and confused all the time, she actually forgot to put through a part of an order on our table meaning one of us had to wait for it to be done while everyone else was eating. By the time it arrived everyone had already finished their plates. She then proceeded to walk through the restaurant area with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth... Food was ok-ish. The tables actually felt like they'd not been whipped over at all. The only decent thing was the doggy table with treated and water, that was a fantastic idea and a friendly touch.

Great local pub. The food was tasty and served in good time. 👍

Great atmosphere, right next to lish green field in Oldbrook. Outdoor seating is good and inside seating arrangement with traditional pub 🎵 music. Food is kind of ok and this is the bit where I am ranking low. We ordered Chicken wings and it was not quite upto mark, not at all crispy. May be I am comparing it with others but that's what it is. I prefer it to be crispy, crunchy. I didn't try other dishes so it would make sense to try them. Drinks are perfect Overall good place to visit

Came twice and both times the service was terrible. It literally took more than one hour to bring ONE starter (chicken wings) and then nearly another hour for the main. They were understaff i guess and the tables were really dirty. Deffinetly don't recommend.

You are hit by the stench of the men's toilet as you enter. The aggressive local "gangster" brigade guard the door and make for an uncomfortable welcome. Staff are pleasant if not a little abrupt and aggressive. Usual bar offerings, food at best rudimentary and edible. Best avoided

Fairly mediocre pub, but with a lovely terrace overlooking the former cricket green. Definitely a fair weather venue.

Was told it was a dog friendly pub , but clearly not human friendly. if you wont to feel safe and have a drink, don't go there!!!

I did not go in, I picked up my children from their fathers day meal. So cannot comment on anything except the car park.

Food OK, staff friendly but pub needs an update and clean. Toilets need a good deep clean scrub top to bottom.

Very nice clean pub....spotless. Bar staff and manager great... faultless. Well kept house. . Community pub with many locals in it, obviously their life line to life. We and they need theses places... Don't know about the food never tried it, but I am sure it suits the locals requirements.

Only a 10 minute walk from corporate MK centre here is a propper pub I ordered a burger and got to choose chili poppers curry sauce and egg on my burger I ordered an extra portion of chips ( as did not read the description that my burger came with fries ) bit was not disappointed the chips were fluffy and mopped up the rest of the curry sauce. Would get 5* but green king only sell certain beers but if you can get over that well worth a visit

Went with Friends after having dinner somewhere else and they rang the bell just as we were walking in, 11pm, so early, We end up in Brewdog.

Great attitude to customers with kids

OK local pub, walking distance from The Hub. Greene King beers, so can't go too far wrong there. I love the Chicago Sloppy burger - worth a visit just for that. The burger itself has a nice "home made" coarse texture to it and it is accompanied by a little pot of beef dripping gravy you can dip your chips in. Nice. Edit: Upgraded to 4 star after the pub changed its policy to allow dogs inside. 👍

The food was typical pub food but the staff were very good.

A pleasant Greene King pub, we only went for a couple of beers and on the Tuesday evening it was reasonably quiet. The food menu looked to be varied and reasonably priced with a number of offers. The pub has a nice outside seating area

A lovely Christmas Day meal...awesome.

Nothing changes in this place. Same people, just different faces. Good to catch up with some of the old crowd and have a drink to say goodbye Bob. Shame about the singer - even the upbeat songs were depressing. Suspect we'll be leaving it another few years before going in there again. A shame really as we spent so much of our 20s in there and it was a great pub back then.
