Premier Inn Milton Keynes Central (Theatre District) hotel in Milton Keynes

Arrived at just after 3pm for check in and there was a long queue of guests leading to the front desk with two machines which I assume were meant to facilitate guest checkins and outs but were both out of order. There was one member of staff slowly going through the queue. When I finally got to my room after checking in I noticed a few odd things, check the attached photos. Basically the room hadn’t been touched since the last guest. So I had to go back down to reception and they sorted me with another room. Around midnight the fire alarm went off all over the hotel for a couple of minutes. It’s currently 00:20 and I felt compelled to write this review. My room feels very tired. So much filth trodden into the carpets it feels gross to walk on in anything but my shoes. The sofa has a massive stain. It’s hard to justify any amount of value for a hotel room when you’re rudely awakened at midnight when you’ve paid for a place to get a good nights rest. I will be seeking some sort of compensation in the morning. After I get some more sleep, hopefully.

Great location. Good value. Arychana, Fawad and all the staff we encountered were polite, professional and sincere. Will definitely return

Great hotel overall, well located and has everything you will need. Only slight issue was the free WiFi wasn’t brilliant but Fawad on reception was most helpful. Thanks.

It’s a Premier inn so you know what to expect, plenty of parking but you have to pay

Have stayed here a few times now. Always very clean and tidy and staff are nice. Handy location and will stay again in the future I’m sure.

Room M’s were clean and ok. Price was value for money. Staff on entry were professional till the morning service breakfast staff arrived. Not polite and wasn’t friendly

Be careful outside . Lighting is poor and I slipped on what I thought was concrete but it was actually wet earth with no grass. It was a bad fall bit coukd have been worse . Despite bad bruising and soreness.

Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was good, no complaints.

Loads of problems with this premier inn. - The room was incredibly dusty. - The air condition wasn’t controlled at all- 24 degrees was very cool air. Receptionist said that they control it from downstairs?? I didn’t have any control over it. - The fan inside the bathroom wasn’t working - nearly suffocated after showering. Complained to reception about it but to no end. - Every time I go to the restaurant I (along with 5 other people) stand there waiting for someone to come help us. You have to press the buzzer for someone to come out of the room and say ‘sorry sorry’ for the 10th time. - Parking is super expensive. There’s a premier inn nearby in Willen Lake. My advice is go stay there.

Terrible experience. Never again!!! Booked the wrong hotel (my fault street is the same name that stretches far) no service, 2 X tea bags in a room for 4 of us!!!! Kept running out of toilet roll. Had to keep asking for everything. Booked in a change of sheets and clean on the 4 th day as nothing had been done. Came back to find tea bags and milk replenished, and no clean or fresh sheets. Went and spoke to the people at reception and they said we will give you clean sheets but because it's a holiday ( 30th of December, but booked for a clean on the 29th) you will have to change the beds your self!!!! Fire alarm went off on a Monday, nothing in the rooms to let you know only testing. Ran down the stairs bare foot with my son, we had both been asleep after a busy couple of days travelling. (Can't use the lifts in a fire) Ran outside trying to put shoes on. Nobody there! Ran into reception nobody there. People still using the lift so I advised them not to. (Thinking there was a fire) Again tried in reception to find somebody and did and they informed me every Monday is a fire test. Thanks!!! you knew I was there for the week could of informed me. Asked to speak to the manager to suggest putting a sign on the back of the doors .she said her name was " Curly Marr" came out smirking. Completely unhelpful. Couldn't wait to come home. DO NOT GO TO THIS PREMIER INN!!!!! Been to others before, and no problem !!! this one horrible no interest. Horrid manager/ess so rude!!!

Stay was nice and comfortable. Very close to all main places:theatre, restaurants, pubs and even club. Parking is right next to hotel on first come basis. At the time of check out they had no QR codes available so we got it for free thanks to Fawad. Lovely choice if u looking on doing multiple things in the area and need to stay over.

Overall brilliant value for money - can’t fault a double room and buffet breakfast for 2 for less than £70! On the Saturday before Christmas too. But the downside was the noise from the clubs nearby kept up till 2am. The light over the shower wasn’t working and the extractor was a little anaemic. But on the upside, breakfast was lush and plentiful - kept warm and not dried out. Fawad ran the restaurant and provided brilliant service while working diligently to clear tables and maintain standards - I think every guest would have thought they were the first down for breakfast. All in all, great value for money and a fair deal.

We stay here once or twice a year it's normally fairly good and we're normally very happy with what we get for our money. If you're lucky enough to get one of a few parking spaces you can park for free but parking is very limited as they only have about 15 spaces available, otherwise you have to pay extra

Poor condition of rooms . No hot water running . Rusting on toilet taps . Moulds on the carpet . Rooms walls were dirty .

Location of the hotel was perfect as the theatre is a stones throw away, as are a great choice in restaurants and bars. Room is as expected, good for the night with everything needed. The main thing lacking was customer service, the most important thing. When we arrived there was a queue of 10 with no member of staff to greet anyone or help, whilst the self service machines were all out of order. A lady appeared from the office, took our name on the booking, and walked into an office and didn't reappear for 10-15 minutes. She didn't give us any information of where anything was and if we were parked under Premier Inn's spaces. When it came to breakfast, we arrived to the restaurant, were handed cutlery and napkins and told to 'just sit over there'. No table was made up or wiped down prior to us 'sitting over there'. When I asked for ketchup, I was greeted with a huge sigh from, who I think was, the manager who reluctantly went to get me some. Overall, not very impressed with this hotel on this visit.

Perfect location Super clean rooms

Unfortunately the hotel was experiencing a lot of problems. The reception laptop had been stolen and the key card system failed. There were no staff for check-in and many were disinterested in helping guests. Colin and Maddie were brilliant though. Rushed off their feet with the added technical challenges and batting off abuse from frustrated customers, they remained professional and did their best throughout with a smile. Having to ask to use the toilet and be taken to your room isn't great, but having to do this whilst serving in the bar/restaurant and manning reception probably wasn't what they signed up for either. Huge thanks to them both.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The location is very good, lots to see and do in the vicinity. Campbell Park is a must. Food was very nice.

Great location. Smooth check in. Comfortable bed. Room could do with a freshen up. Breakfast nice but front of house staff miserable and looked like they didn't want to be there. Sat by the window for breakfast and the blinds were filthy.

Very well located Premier Inn. Ideal for clubs and restaurants. Rooms were as expected. Parking should be free though!

Overall very disgusting and considering we have been using Premier Inns for the past 8 years for this yearly trip I don't believe we ever will again. The receptionist during the night was accomodating, giving us a new room which was infact bedbug free thank god. Overall however looking back whilst the eating area and stair ways were "Clean" the Rooms, Elevators and Reception were really quite disgusting with Dust and residue as if someone had spill drinks down every wall or surface around the Hotel. And to top it off we now have to be very careful making sure we wash and clean absolutely everything we took with us to the Hotel incase we have brought any back with us. Overall just pure filth and I find it hard to believe the staff or cleaners wouldn't have noticed the bed bugs if they were doing their jobs properly. To top it off we went further back through reviews after the fact and found another review from 4 months ago mentioning bed bugs too so this is far from the first time and I highly doubt the last either.

We went to the restaurant at the Hotel for breakfast x had a very enjoyable time meeting up with family x all the staff are so friendly and helpful x asking the chef you can get poached eggs if you would like them x

Iv stayed at hundreds of premier inns over the years & the service and food at this hotel is the best!! Hats off to the chef and the lady’s on service today!

Poor Internet and phone reception.

First 2 weeks were good 3rd week I was in a room next to a service room and they were noisy and kept waking us up

Great location to get the most of what is around you. The rooms are clean and spacious. The one downside the the large queue outside the door to check in with one guy working on the world's smallest laptop to check us in and program the key cards.

Great room service and location. Went premier plus which was lovely. The only fault is pop world next door so loud and bass until early hours of the morning so didn’t get much sleep at all. Kind of ruined it entirely and think venue needs to think about thicker windows to stop the sound as ruined the night for both me and husband but also my in-laws who were on a different floor.

Had dinner here, poorly cooked, burger was still pink inside! The staff member didn't have a clue of what he was doing, given us poor advice The only positive was the new guy ( with a beard,) he has only been working there for a week but was excellent and his service was excellent 👏🏾 The rest of the staff were useless and food was terrible

Must be the worst Premier Inn I ever stayed at. If you get a room near the end of the building next to the huge Premier Inn sign hanging off the side of the building you better get yourself some earplugs or another room as the sign would be rattling all night long in the slightest wind and you defo not going to get a good night sleep. If you planned for camping in a tent in a storm then you wouldn’t disappointed because that is what it sounds like. Toilet near the reception was absolutely disgusting. When I say disgusting it means it looked like no cleaning was done to it in past 3 weeks. Food subpar, service was slow, breakfast juice jars looked disgusting, dirty
