We loved it here! Lovely cosy relaxed feel and friendly staff. Great choice of ales including local beers. Food was great too, I had the soup which was delicious as was the bread that came with it. A great find only wish it wasn't an hour away from where we holiday and 500 miles from home 😁

A charming wee inn as suitable for coffee as a pint of craft ale. Unpretentious but very attractive - we spent an hour over a coffee in what they used to call the lounge in the old days, admiring the wallpaper. We didn’t eat but the food looked good and our waitress was sweet, kindly accommodating a request for a chocolate flake without the ice cream.

Very nice location. Very nice pub. Good staff. Terrible toasted sandwich. I only had the toasted sandwich so cannot comment on the other menu items. The bread was hard. I was not offered a choice of bread and artisan bread was mentioned on other items. My fault for not asking. Nothing artisan about this packet pap bread. The crusts were rock solid. And inedible. Very little cheese , Brie , in my Brie and cranberry. The cranberry was a wierd watery consistency. Big section of solid toast without any filling. No dressing on the side salad. The price of this plate of food is disgraceful. Not worth the money at all. My husband had the mackerel pate and oatcakes. A small plate of food. But he said it was very nice and he got some smears of dressing. I had been looking forward to going to this pub for lunch. What a disappointment. When asked, I told the waitress my sandwich was not the best. But no enquiry as to what the problem was. I doubt very much if I will go back. I will go the Sutors Cafe instead.

A great little pub and very busy today - always a good sign. The roast pork and fresh vegetables when it came was very good but we waited nearly an hour after placing our order. Apparently a very small kitchen which was not able to keep up with the demand and therefore we suggest a bit ambitious to put on a roast.

We visited three times - for ice creams, drinks in the garden and dinner in the evening. The ice creams are fantastic. A lovely (and apparently regularly changing) selection with generous scoops. It was really nice to have a quiet afternoon pint in the sunny and sheltered garden. And the food in the evening was great. It’s a small menu as the kitchen is tiny, but there was something for everyone and it was very tasty, freshly cooked and generous portions. The wine list and beer selection is excellent. This is a brilliant addition to Cromarty.

Tried the Fishertown Inn for lunch on a trip to Cromarty. Was disappointed that there weren't any vegan options on the lunch menu but went in anyway. Really small cosy pub with nice atmosphere. I ordered the veggie chilli nachos and we asked if they could do them without diary for my wife who is vegan. When it came out they both looked great, the vegan version looked identical to mine except vegan cheese & sour cream. Chilli was full of chunky veg and tasted great. Toasted sandwiches were nice too, lots of options. Defo recommend for a trip to Cromarty, just wish we had longer as they had some nice looking cider too.

Not many places that do gf hand pull beer locally brewed on Black Isle. They had Gf cones with some local ice cream too. Ice creams were delicious. We came with a flat tyre on a bike which they helped out with. Fantastic place.

Very good food and typical Scottish decor. Service was very attentive and friendly. The chef knows his craft. The steak, for the non-fish eater, was a treat.

We went for takeaway before getting ferry to Stornoway. Ordered an egg roll and bacon and egg roll. On opening when we got to our car we could not believe how poor they looked. Toasted stake rolls, overdone fried eggs and overdone bacon. Will not go back to this cafe again!

Popped in here recently on a trip through Wick to Dunnet Head - Got a cheese & tuna toastie and a latte which were both excellent. Owners were really friendly and the price reasonable considering the location - Have a feeling they could charge 2/3 times the price - being on the NC 500 - but choose not to. Will certainly return.

Visited today and ordered 2 drinks and 2 steak pie dinners. Service was fine but we could not eat the food. The meat was inedible. We couldn't cut it never mind chew it. The young waiter returned it to the kitchen, returned to apologise and agrred with us. Then he said there will be no charge... ....... really. Why would we pay when we had no food. Left and went elsewhere.
