Consistently good fish and chips (takeaway only). I have never met a more miserable manager though, but his choice not to ever smile I suppose!

I asked for freshly cooked Cod, it made me and my partner sick, fish was clearly not cooked fresh and the fish stank! Shame because when I was served by the lady (not the man that I was served by)on previous occasions the food was good.

I was impressed with the size of the fish the batter was nice and crusty but the fish was not fresh a bit smelly which let the whole thing down the chips was a let down as well …

Very good. The comments about the portions are true. Decent. Good taste too. Only let down by the Curry Spring Roll, which wasn't great. Everything else was excellent. Will be back.

Very clean, good food, not expensive, easy parking. Good alternative to the nearby KFC at Progress Road/A127.

Had large cod and chips from here several times now and every time it’s been very fresh, non-greasy and extremely tasty. My wife and I share the food as it’s a large enough portion for two meals. Can’t recommend enough!

The best fish and chips shop around - freshly cooked to order and definitely worth the 7-10 minute wait. Have tried other local fish shops & they just don’t compare!

There was a good system for the social distancing. Well organised way of ordering and then wait for collection of meal.

Overall really happy there’s a local chip shop within walking distance of my home in Eastwood. Food quality is mostly good but it’d be nice if they had some chips ready to go at a moment’s notice more regularly. There seems to be a noticeable change in the quality of the food depending on who’s serving, the young girl (admittedly friendly and polite) does have a tendency to slightly over cook the chips, there’s a young gent in there who I think works part time, always gets them absolutely spot on. Not sure if it’s a coincidence or not, just an observation I’ve made.

Lovely piece of haddock,chips not bad

Nicely cooked haddock with a crisp tasty batter. Real chips cooked properly and large portions. The lady that served me was very friendly and pleasant. Glad I stopped here for a quick meal on the move.

Great for a takeaway the delivery was really quite quick and our food was still hot we certainly enjoyed it

Very convenient standard fish & Chip take away, providing fairly speedy service of most popular fish, pies, etc, with chips.

This chippy is just found corner from me. Have tried it before and been disappointed, tonight I just wanted something quick. Normally go to Fish 2 Go elm rd. which is fantastic. Fish Express chips been kept warm for ages pie I had to put in microwave. I won't be returning.

Stopped on the way back after visiting our son in Eastwood, it was the nearest one on the way home. Had 2 medium cod & 1 medium chips, this was plenty for the 2 of us, it came to £10.10, they don’t take cards, but there is a cash machine next door. Had a bit of a wait about 20 mins on a Saturday night about 5.30pm, there were a few people waiting and they were doing telephone orders too. The cod was huge and that was the medium size, chips were nice too. All in all a nice meal reasonably priced too, would go again if we were passing.

We have bought fish and chips on numerous occaision from this establishment and the food has always been really good. However the last two times the quality has been very disappointing. :(

Food always fresh, home made chips are the highlight

We were delighted to hear a fish restaurant would be opening in our area and we have not been disappointed with any of our (probably far too many!) take aways. The fish is always freshly cooked and is white and fluffy, with a tasty batter. Very friendly staff and no over-inflated prices.

This fish bar is very good for traditional fish & chips, their cod is lovely & fresh & covered in a golden & very crispy batter & their chips are also very well cooked too, the staff there are very friendly & the price for their food is very reasonable.

A good place for fish and chips and is above average. Parking is a bit of a problem as the spaces outside are for loading only and the ever vigilant attendants are always waiting to pounce!

Siempre amable y en la pelota y un poco más barato que cierta competencia local. Patatas fritas son, por supuesto, un gusto personal cosa pero éstas se adaptan a nosotros y las porciones son excelentes para lo que se paga, así como las porciones de pescado. Hacen un titular especial que parece una buena relación calidad-precio (no lo probé). Llevar sólo.
