Fish Cottage Robin Hoods Bay in Scarborough

Decided to pop into byways after a long shift at work and was treated to a wonderful greeting by the lovely liv behind the bar. Not only was the service 5 star but liv also made me feel quite at home with lovely conversation and ensuring I was okay with everything I ordered she is truly a credit to the byways. I only had a small bite to eat but the food was perfect, cooked by Lee who was very polite and considerate when talking to him. Honestly an amazing experience as always made all the more worth while by these wonderful staff

Went hoping to see dark skies but unfortunately Cloudy, However on the plus side what a little gem , Great staff & Fabulous home cooked food especially the steak & ale pie & The welcoming glow of a real coal fire

If you like lumpy mashed potato, tasteless veg and watery gravy, you will like this place. I have never seen a more sorry looking carvery in my life.

Sadly this hotel is now badly managed, unwelcoming atmosphere and decor. unloved and uncared for. The bare minimum being done. The hotel is not clean. All carpets around hotel not regularly clean. Dining area and bar untidy and dirty. Broken things and random items just dumped around hotel. Indoor/outdoor windows dirty. Only staff there were young waitress, young bar girl and a young cook. Noone in charge and apparently Manager away so told email Saram hotels as they unable to deal with my complaints. I would have asked for money back and left but noone to make that decision!!! Had to endure shoddy place and staff instead. Noone cares what this place looks like. My room not clean and old yellowy stains on duvet cover. Only the view from my bedroom was pleasant.
