Fish Basket in City of London, Westminster

i have been going here every Friday at 6pm for the last 3 years, amazing and fast service and the best fish and chips i’ve ever had.

A wonderfully authentic, family-run fish and chip shop. We made a big order for a birthday party and they could have not been more accomodating. Excellent personable service and the food was first class. We had cod which was beautifully prepared and fried and the chips were perfectly cooked (not slimy or greasy). Would highly recommend and can't wait to go back soon!

Moved away from the area so been ages but still good, portion size more than enough. Fish beautifully cooked, crispy batter, chips also perfectly cooked, crispy and plenty of them. Nothing to criticise. Hard working people. Respect where respects due. Cash only but there's an ATM outside the post office a few doors away.

I thought I would go to fish basket for a change for a large cod and large chips.... I normally use Burlington's which is £12.00 for this and is more than big enough for the two of us with chips to spare.... Fish basket was £12.30 for the same and the fish was small and also was the chips... It looked like a child's meal on the plate... An absolute waste of money.... I will never be going there again....Burlington's on windmill hill wins hands down !!!!

Have used the Fish Basket for many years. Today the cod was dry and toughand chips were chewy. Horrible meal. Won't be returning here.

Have been a customer for many years. Always good fish and chips served here in my opinion. Pleasant staff.

Although we have, from time to time, tried other fish and chip shops in Enfield, we always come back to The Fish Basket. The fish is always fresh and tasty and is always a very generous portion. The chips always taste as if they have just been made and are never soggy or fatty. The service is impeccable. If you haven't tried fish and chips from The Fish Basket, get down there as soon as you can - they serve the best fish and chips in Enfield!

Thought id try this for the 1st time as reviews usally good.waited over half an hour for my food!! I know its cooked fresh but that really is rediculas.however people they knew jumped the Q.!!! Food was only ok greasy batter soggy *just cooked * chips.dont think i will return again

Whilst fish and chips these days is not a cheap meal, after buying some from here a couple of weeks ago and enjoying it so much, it was well worth it! The chips were great and the fish was really tasty.

Allergy warning: peanut oil used for frying. I have often used The Fish Basket over the years. I recommend the haddock but you need to wait or phone ahead. I prefer to phone so that the fish has time to drain a little before being wrapped. The portions here are generous and the service friendly. The prices could be a little lower but are not outlandish.

Portion sizes are poor and over priced staff rude chips sooo greasy that u could probably go home and extract the oil from the chips and reuse it definitely refried always a dissapointment been few time thinking was one off but it's every time will not be returning and will be making sure no one else in my area I no returns

Recently discovered the fish basket Really excellent chip shop They have been there for over 40 years and you can see why Cooked fresh while you wait in most cases Or just give them a call Highly recommended

A real find! This lovely take-away incorporates everything I could want from a local fish and chip shop! Staff who know their stuff, are friendly, funny and a pleasure to chat to whilst waiting for my fish! As my husband is a coeliac we always ring in advance and our choice of fish is cooked in rice flour instead of wheat flour meaning that this is one of the few places where we can get traditional style fish and chips! The fish is always very fresh, clearly well prepared by the men who know what they are doing! Never go any where else!

Mientras visita nuestra hija, tuvimos otra gran para llevar pescado cesta de la que disfrutamos por toda la familia, jóvenes y mayores. ya que, en mi opinión anterior, el Fish cesta de un buen servicio amable con primera clase pescado, etc. con pasta no grasa perfecta a un precio muy razonable. Great Fish & Chip takeaway, non-greasy and good value for money. Freshly cooked while you wait. Would certainly recommend
