Fish and Chips Fresh From the Sea in Blackpool

First time visit here. Spotlessly clean cafe & take away. We chose to eat in the cafe. We had the small fish & chips special with hot drink. The food was hot, plentiful & delicious & reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

Popped in with a friend while staying at nearby hotel, due to the weather being so bad, what an amazing surprise, had one of the best bits of haddock I’ve had in years in an amazing light crispy batter. Pleasantly surprised by the price too, very reasonable, will definitely be back next time we are in Blackpool!

The best fish and chips I've had in a long time. The batter was light and crispy and there were no 'scraps' on it. The fish was full flavoured and melt in the mouth. The chips were excellent. The mushy peas were the best tasting I've had since I was a kid. You could tell they used fresh ingredients. Highly recommended.

Went for a day out with the family , we fancied some fish and chips and went into this place. The cod and chips was one of the best i have ever had , so fresh and tasty, and was so glad we went in here, when we come again to Blackpool we will ensure we go back into here its a 10/10 for me this place.

So disappointed. Been coming here for years. Arrived about 4.30pm on a Friday. Not one other person was in. It actually looked closed until we walked to the front door. Went in. No menus on the tables. Ordered food, large fish and chips for for my husband, with a pot of peas, small fish and chips for myself, with a jug of curry. Very disappointed. My small fish was much smaller than on previous visits, and my husband's fish was more batter than fish. Went to the bathroom before we left. Handrails to go downstairs were disgusting. Very sticky/greasy (obviously not been cleaned for months), and the smell of urine was horrific. Definitely won't be going again.

I was really hungry and my friend was already about to eat there, so I contacted him and decided to join him for fish and chips. It proved good value, fast service and friendly service and we were both really pleased

Paid 3.10 for a large chips. The girl gave me approximately 20 chips. It's a complete scandal. What a rip off. This place should be trying to keep local trade not driving it away. Avoid!

The food was outstanding and the staff were so lovely. Always served us with a bright smile on their face. We picked the table by the window and the view was stunning, watching the sun set was magnificent. I would 100% recommend this fish and chip shop if you are ever looking. It was also very clean. Would 100% be visiting again.

Second visit, 1st one was take away, today we sat in as we were on a day trip, was nice and quiet but not dead, we got a small fish special each and 2 kids meals, it was all just the right amount and we ate everything. It was clean and fresh and served piping hot on plates. Lovely tea and coffee and pleasant staff. Would visit again definitely. Just set back from the promenade, I find it’s best to use the chippies not directly on the prom. Walked past another eat in place that was on the prom and I could see that eat in customers were eating from trays.

It's so easy to leave bad reviews about places but can't understand why people have left one about cfresh when all there seems to be are wonderful reviews I've been coming here for years and never had a problem well probably a couple members of staff that used to work and the foods still great there anyway the staff now are exceptional keep up the good work cfresh

Had haddock & chips for £7.50. Tasty and decent portion. There was a queue as it was busy with football fans. They could do with preparing more food on days like this. But was decent & good value. Lad serving was very nice and working hard!

The staff here seem absolutely clueless. Waited well over 40 minutes for food. There was also a little boy running around spraying what looked like disinfectant everywhere. This place has really gone downhill. We will not be coming back again.

Had been wandering around trying to find somewhere to eat, (five of us) we said the next place we happen across we will go in and eat, Personally I'm not a fan of fish and chips, so I was a bit disappointed, I should't have been, there were plenty of other choices for me, had a lovely steak pie, and they kindly swapped the mushy peas for beans, the gravy was so nice, we even asked what they used, which they happily told us and where we could get it... extremely friendly, quick and efficient service, and all five of us came away happy and well fed..

Me and my friend and her little fur pal visited for lunch, the food was as ever top notch, and the dog was more than welcome to be inside, our loverly server took to the dog so much and brought a treat for him. If your visiting blackpool with your fur pal and want a good fish and chips with a warm welcome this is the place to go, they also do takeaway if you dont want to eat in.

Visited twice during stay in Blackpool. Great staff, quick service. Small fish and chips with mushy peas and bread & butter for a great price. Freshly cooked. Lovely and hot. Visited with dog which was made to feel very welcome by staff. Recommended.

This is by far the best fish and chip shop in Blackpool. The decor is modern and everything is clean and well presented. The food is really reasonable and excellent quality. The fish is really fresh. Yes the chip portions aren’t huge to avoid wastage but there is a clear sign on the wall which says if you’d like more chips just ask. We observed several customers ask for extra chips which they got straight away and with no charge. A really good system which reduces food wasteDon’t waste your time with overpriced chips on the sea front go to this hidden gem and it will definitely be worth your time

Myself and my wife decided on fish and chips for lunch today (sun 23rd June) at around 3pm. Restaurant was lovely and clean. However, the young man that served us was more interested in his phone. Stood behind the till in full view of the restaurant playing around on his phone.

What a find! Never had fried fish that was so white. Good value for money and week worth the walk to find it. Very clean. Freshly made fish. Didn’t manage to eat it all as there is bread and butter too. Will definitely visit again when in Blackpool.

My husband and myself were visiting friends and came across this place whilst walking down the prom. It look very inviting and the place was clean. The wait for food was reasonable and cooked lovely. Tasted good. Toilets are situated down stairs. Again nice and clean. Nothing was to much trouble. Now the only let down was some members of staff. Non seem to wash their hands and one or two was looking down at their phones. You could hear the kitchen staff above all else. My bread and butter was forgotten, but immediately rectified. I didn't eat it as the young man serving it had previously been wiping his nose and playing on his phone without washing his hands. Other than poor staff hygiene and some being more interesting in their phones then doing work I can't fault the food or the place. Thank you for your hospitality.

Visited Blackpool today for a day out and was on the look out for a nice English chippy and found this establishment ... had fish and chips mushy peas and a drink twice and sausage chips and gravy with a drink. Good sized portions and chips and fish were gorgeous not greasy . We went in the takeaway part as wanted to eat our tea on beach .the restaurant part of it was packed. All freshly made in front of us . we had meal deals ranging from £4.50 upwards and very reasonable .Staff where pleasant .Nice and clean . Will go back here when in Blackpool .

We visited C Fresh on Sunday 17th Feb, on the recommendation of our accomodation owner. The food was excellent - beautifully cooked fish in light crispy batter, lovely chips and great mushy peas. Our daughter lover her fish fingers too. competitively priced (great value for the quality) and lovely friendly service. Restaurant is spotless too - all in all highly recommended!

We skated in just before the restaurant closed on Saturday. We ordered cod and chips and it was delicious.

We’ve regularly visited the branch on Lytham Road and never been disappointed so thought we’d give the Foxhall branch a go but it wasn’t anywhere near as good. We got the small special which is usually LOADS at the other branch but here the fish portion was minuscule with bits of it that didn’t even have any fish in it, just batter. Sticky tables, chairs cluttered everywhere. Very disappointing.

Visited here last week based on a recommendation from the hotel owners we had noticed walking past was always busy and can see why now everything was cooked fresh not greasy at all and was reasonably priced our waitress was lovely and polite. Would certainly go again

I've been going to this place for a few years now and think the fish and chips are the best in town. Now Friday 26th October I went for my usual fish and chips. After I'd finish eating them I had my usual banter with one of the lads that's when another one of the staff I now is a lad called Paul decided to chip in and say " I'm surprised you didn't eat the plate you fat b@@@@@@d" I was totally shocked because he's not a regular worker at the shop. I then contacted the owner who I get on very well with who said he'll be gone in a week or so. Now for me the man in question (Paul) should of been dismissed instantly and was quite surprised to see him still working there on Saturday. Well I won't be eating in that place again.

As far as chippy goes in Blackpool I would say this is a good one to come to and prices are reasonably cheap as well

Oh my word. There I was munching into my scampi and chips with a side of salad, which did taste ok. I came across a white furry looking caterpillar. Crawling around my plate, showed it to a member of staff. Who did apologise and gave me my money back for my meal. I was pleased about that. But the question begs how did it get there. Don’t think I’ll be going back shame because the place did look clean and staff friendly enough. It’s just when you come across a live furry thing crawling over your meal it sort of puts you off.

First used this chippy when it was called The Ketch. After living in Blackpool for 21 years I have tried most if not all of the fish and chips in Blackpool. This one I would put at the top of my top 10. Fantastic place, clean and tidy which is good considering the amount of footfall this chippy attracts. The bonus is if you want more chips you just ask and you will get a top up free of charge.

Went here Saturday tea time very friendly staff had to wait a short time for a table and a little longer for food after we had ordered as it’s cooked fresh which we don’t mind. Meal arrived and was very nice and very hot so you know it’s fresh cooked we will go back here again next time we are in Blackpool

I ordered Scampi and Chips and it came complete with side salad. Ten scampi and a load of chips plus fresh salad of lettuce, tomato and onion. The food was excellent, well cooked -- scampi fresh -- chips weren't greasy -- plus if I'd wanted more chips they were free. Minimal decoration but very clean restaurant and everything is cooked fresh to order. Great value for good food.

Visited here after coming a few years ago. We were on a day trip and tried it again. What can I say- it's the perfect place for fish and chips in Blackpool. Very clean place including the toilets. Attentive staff and good choice. We had the large fish special with coffee. I can't say enough how tasty the fish was and the coffee was excellent which I wasn't expecting. We also had the Moby dick which although it wasn't as big as we thought it would be the taste was great. Chips mushy peas and curry sauce all delicious . Excellent would recommend

Been going to this fish shop every time we r in blackpool. Nothing has changed so that y we go there. moby dick is to die for. Breast of chicken is cooked just right. This chip shop was not just good quality it was value for money... When I visited the venue the hosts informed me that I could have as many potions of chips as I could eat.... i could not get past my first potion.

The food is really nice, good value for money in nice clean surroundings. Very friendly staff but please can you have a policy of asking your customers to at least wear a top when dining on hot days. I spent my entire meal looking at a very sweaty back for the duration of my entire meal which kind of spoiled the experience somewhat.

Visited this chip shop prior to going to a football match at Bloomfield Road. We had fish and chips with mushy peas and a drink for £7.50. This was to eat in, it is cheaper to take out. If you are still hungry they will also give you more chips for free. The fish and chips were great. A great chippy with very friendly staff.

My husband , daughter and myself called in for our usual fish and chips Easter weekend when we were in Blackpool, we always use C-fresh as it’s good value for money and good food. We placed our order of large fish dinner, small fish dinner and childs sausage and chips. Our food came and the small fish dinner was actually smaller than the child’s meal we ordered! The fish resembled a gold fish in batter it was that small! I always order the smaller fish dinner as my appetite isn’t as big as my husbands and always had a decent size fish and good portion of chips what I received that day was no where near what they usually serve.

Just dropped in on a bike to for lunch and was very happy indeed with everything! Excellent food. The chips are special! No idea what they do do get them so delicious and crispy but it works. Fish lightly battered, tasty gravy. Nice big mug of tea that you add your own milk to do can make it just as you please. The portion sizes are perfect but if you do need more the chips are refillable! Staff friendly. Thank you!

This is a gem. Well worth going out of your way to eat here. Clean and tidy. Food is freshly cooked, large portions and so tasty. The homemade steak pie is the best I’ve ever tasted. Staff are so friendly and polite.

Certainly one of the best chippy shops in Blackpool. In fact we found these to be equally on par with some of the best chipshops in th UK (Whitby and Scarborough area are renowned for their quality chippys).

had the large fish and chip special which comes with a can of Fosters. The fish was excellent but the quantity of chips was poor. While I know they say that you can have more chips if you ask. I didn't ask, as they were so busy and we had waited a while for our meal so I thought there would have been an equal delay in getting extra chips.
