It was just as good as the reviews in 2021. We found it by chance and was so glad we did. It added to the short break we were having

This small restaurant and shop is covid secure with an additional outdoor seating area and plenty of parking. The area is open rural so bring yo sun hat / jacket. Small selection of fresh cooked meals and pies changes daily so ask before you order. For a desert or snack Andrews scones are amazing and join a collection of freshly baked cakes and slices. Good honest food.

Excellent food and great service! I have visited here several times now for a lovely, full English breakfast. Using quality, local ingredients all served up by friendly, family members this is a hidden gem. I also had a delicious lunch here, homemade quiche with a tasty side salad. Definitely worth turning off the main road to find this place.

Soon to move into the area and wanted to find a nice, friendly, homegrown food, tasty, cosy, clean place to go for a bite to eat. Top notch. Spotlessly clean, freshly cooked food, friendly staff. As well as lovely food and choices, they also stock produce, and gifts, preserves, meat etc. Think this will turn into our local.

Wish we could have gone back for lunch because all of the lunches being served around looked absolutely, delicious. Everything looked so fresh. Lady serving/cooking went out of her way to provide a nice lunch for the two of us. Lovely side salad with beetroot and pasta as well as the bits you'd normally expect, delicious warm bread rolls, quiche stuffed full of filling, all at a very reasonable price. Plus a range of cakes and desserts if desired. We paid just over £10 for two cold but generous lunches plus drinks. Definitely recommend.

We found Fiona's after moving here six months ago. It's great. We visit at least once a week for lunch. We buy meat for the freezer and other produce, chutneys and cakes. We luckily visited on a warm day as the shop was full of people enjoying coffee and snacks so we sat in the sun and watched the pygmy goats playing .We really wanted a cream tea but they had just sold their last scones to a customer ,however we were told if we didn't mind waiting 5 minutes there was another batch in the oven. So glad we did it was scrumptious lovely warm scones and loads of clotted cream . We were amazed at the amount of people who finished eating and drinking bought cakes and savoury food to take home and orders were taken in the shop as they were on the phone for cakes etc to be picked up on a certain date .I am glad to say we did the same and took a coffee and walnut sponge and sausage rolls away with us.We enjoyed the friendly banter between the regulars and the owners and our American guests thoroughly enjoyed the experience so much so they want to come again when we visit next time .We were told by a lady she was a size 10 before she found Fiona's and now visited most days as would we if we lived here .Good luck with the new extension I am sure it will be filled very quickly the upheaval will be worth it so more people can enjoy the food and atmosphere .

Visited after reading reviews was looking forward to a treat but was very disappointed, the older couple serving were lovely but Fiona was extremely rude to us were told we could only buy a whole cake as she wasn't slicing the cake of our choice so we bought the whole cake only to be told we would be charged to slice it at our table she tutted to us when we declined to have it sliced, disappointing range of other cakes, the cake we bought was stale. The place it self was very small and cramped and they didn't have adequate toilet facilities had to walk through a muddy farm yard dodging a farm dog and no where to wash my hands after surely this is not health and safety checked will be reporting to the local council and trading standards just would like to add Fiona good customer service is everything!

My husband and I found Fiona's almost by chance whilst looking for a place to stop for lunch. It was a very pleasant surprise. We sat outside the small log cabin that is the farm shop and enjoyed the sunshine. Lovely home cooked lunch served with home made chutney and coffee served in a large cafetier. We also bought some of the chutney to take home. This place is a peaceful haven off the beaten track. Look forward to visiting again.

I have been shopping and eating food from Fiona's Farm Fayre for many years. Her meals are prepared from fresh vegetables grown on the farm, and meat (beef, lamb and pork) which has been carefully and respectfully reared by the family. Portion sizes for the main meals are generous and the desserts and cakes are a delight. We buy vegetables, cakes, pasties and quiches to take away. We also buy from the wide range of other grocery items on sale - many of them are very local. Whenever we are visiting friends we drop in to buy regional products, such as honey, chocolate, jams and chutneys to take as gifts.

We came across Fiona's Farm Fayre when searching the web to see what was in Winkleigh and surrounding areas, having booked a week's holiday in Devon. Fiona was kind enough to deliver quite a few items to our cottage so that when we arrived, we were well stocked with local meats, vegetables, cheeses, chutneys, milk, quiches and even pre-made lasagnes, salad and garlic bread for our first meal in the cottage - it made our first night so relaxing, not having to worry about food shopping and cooking! The quality of the food is great and it was all locally produced, if not by Fiona and her family then by other local companies. After finishing the food we'd initially ordered, we went into the farm shop itself to order more and pick up lots of nice goodies like scotch eggs, caramel chocolate shortbread and a delicious Victoria Sponge. We also ordered additional items such as pies, quiches and pasties to pick up on another day. Fiona's brother, who also helps to run the farm shop, even offered to give the kids a hayride, which was a great experience and very much enjoyed not only by the kids! We got to meet the cows and sheep as well as learn about how the farm is run - all whilst sitting on hay bales in a wagon being pulled by a tractor, very fun!I would highly recommend Fiona's Farm Fayre not only for the high-quality, locally-produced food but also for the personable service you'll receive - nothing is too much trouble and everyone we met was genuinely friendly, helpful and accommodating. Thanks to you all for helping to make our visit to Devon a memorable one!

Having booked a weeks holiday, in the hope of having a complete relax, with two kids in tow, was we thought, going to be a tall order. That was until we came across Fiona's Farm Shop. What a find and only a short stroll from where we were staying. We made our first order by telephone a few days before we set off and the things we had ordered were ready and waiting at our holiday cottage when we arrived. We tried the turkey and ham pie, local greens and potatoes, quiches, sausages, chickens and a whole manner of different local cheeses. Oh yes and some cakes. We were able to stock up on things like milk, butter, eggs, cheese, fresh coffee, making a trip to the supermarket completely unnecessary. Perfect. We bought Fiona's homemade sausages and the locally reared chicken drumsticks to cook ourselves and take on a picnic. We can honestly say they were better than any organic/ specially reared produce we have purchased from our local supermarket and without the hefty price tag or without any fat left on the roasting pan. Just pure goodness.Fortunately we had bought a cool bag with us, so we were able to stock up on the way home, making another trip to the supermarket even further way!!Thank you Fiona.

Quirky and delightful. We had a fantastic cream tea, served up on their best china and a very large mis matching teapot - terrific. We had visited RHS Rosemoor earlier in the day and were reluctant to pay top prices for their mass produced rubbish so it was a delight to find this place. Watch out for the roadside sign as you can easily miss it. Fiona and Trevor were very chatty so the whole experience was excellent.

One word of warning about going to Fiona's Farm Fayre; unless you have serious levels of self-control, your waistline will suffer...It's not just the clotted cream, the quiches, the pies, the bars of home-made chocolate tiffin nor even the lemon sponge. It's all of that and the fact that it's some of the best food you will ever eat. If Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstal preaches the virtues of home-grown and home-made then Fiona is actually in the front line of making those virtues a reality. And it's not just the tea-shop regulars of scones and cakes. Fiona also rears her own cows for some of the best steak you can imagine, and her home-made sausages are simply wonderful. Sadly, time interrupted our plans to sample her lamb, but hey, there's always next year. And best of all, it's not expensive. Pricier than a supermarket? Yes, a little, but then nothing, absolutely nothing will go to waste, and you'll consume every morsel, so the true value for money on offer is far in excess of what any normal shop can offer. And the quality of the ingredients is nothing short of stunning.Best of all, Fiona (and husband!) are welcoming and warmly friendly and didn't even mind when our youngest son managed to trash the joint by pulling down a table cloth and smashing some crockery. Sorry about that...See you next year Fiona. Hopefully by then we'll have had some time to get in the gym...

Whether you eat in or buy something to take home it will be delicious. Fiona makes cakes, pastries, quiches etc which are like home-made or actually much better. I swore I wouldn't touch sausage rolls or scotch eggs ever again having had much rubbish elsewhere in the past. Fiona persuaded me to try hers and my ever increasing waistline is testimony to their quality. I am converted!! Recently I arranged for Fiona to bake some cakes for a party I was having. Such is her reputation locally that I immediately realised that they would be gone in a flash - which they were. She never uses rubbish, cheap food or short cuts, just quality ingredients and properly prepared.
