No longer Finney's but Whites. Everything was good until we realised that they charged for tap water. The food was great and the location works but it does seem a scam to charge for a small glass of water when you are already having a meal and a drink.

Tearoom very disappointing. Had a ploughman's lunch no where near worth £9.95, bread was dry, pork pie tasteless, supermarket thin ham. Never had such a disappointing ploughman's before very poor quality

Thanks to all the staff at Finney's who made us welcome on 26 July. Our cycling club decended on Finney's (about 30 of us!). We ordered scrambled eggs on toast and it was just delicious, it came with a lovely salad with basil oil dressing. The quality of the breakfast and the service was superb. Super fast service and we were really looked after. We thank you for the warm welcome and look forward to visiting you again thank you!

Love stopping off here for a cup of tea or snack. Full English is brilliant last visit they accommodated changes to our breakfast, replacing sausage with more bacon, no quibbles. Quickly made and very tasty.

I visited on a Sunday afternoon, alone with two young children as we'd been to the Amerton Pottery.Nice relaxed atmosphere, big open fire at one end of the room, nice touch. There was a young lady clearing tables, I asked for a high chair which she fetch quickly and without fuss. I'd chosen a table near the desk, but the lady serving offered to come to the table to take the order so I didn't have to leave the children. My son (4) chose the millionaire shortbread to share with younger sister, which was lovely, and I was torn between chocolate fudge and red velvet, the lady serving recommended the red velvet and it was delicious (although that meant I had to keep sharing it!)4-year-old loved his Babychino, complete with chocolate flake and lots of marshmallows, and youngest was given her own flake...nice touch. It's not cheap, and it's not McDonald's but we had a really enjoyable afternoon snack and drink. I'll have to go back with Mrs C as she loves red velvet.Thank you!

Visited on a Saturday afternoon, the Cafe was not busy but a lot of the tables needed clearing. We ordered drinks and sandwiches which sounded nice on bloomer bread, the afore mentioned arrived and were disappointing as the bread was wafer thin and dry. We had to get sugar from another table as our pot of sachets was empty but the waitresses were too busy chatting to notice. £20 not well spent we will not be returning.

We arrived at finneys and were greeted with friendly staff who were very helpful in what we needed they were smiley friendly happy and could tell they enjoyed working there. We had no problems at all.Once seated we noticed a lady approach the manager regarding a drink being out of stock and they had been given a substitute but the lady was very rude to the manager which I find absolutely awful we then watched her walk into the craft centre come back in with an item and slammed it down on the counter and said your farm shop sells it and stormed off out. All I can say is well done to the girls for handling it so well I can imagine your job is hard enough never mind having to deal with customers like that.

Had lunch at the tea rooms today. Waited 45 minutes for food. Other customers threatened to leave as waited so long. When food finally arrived one meal was incomplete, the English breakfast was missing half the listed items and we had to ask the waitress for the rest. A nearby table then asked her for the rest of their food as they were missing items also from the English breakfast. To be fair to the waitress she did bring both tables a second plate and apologised for the wait and the mistakes however we will not be visiting again.

This used to be a brilliant restaurant, particularly busy at weekends so it was always necessary to book a table in advance. When we went on Saturday 17th april.it was our first visit for some months and we were amazed to find it had changed to Finley's. we were also surprised to find it almost empty on a bank holiday weekend. However we soon found out why. The service was poor, and the menu very limited. Although the menu advertised a "Roast of the day" when we asked for it we were told it was not available as they were not very busy and had not bothered to do one. We ended up with fish and chips and were served a very small portion of fish with peas and frozen chips. Very disappointing. Shant bother to go again.

Visited for lunch last Friday. A disappointing menu. Food good and waitresses very pleasant but service from the kitchen atrocious. Not a venue for those in a hurry! Ladies toilets "out of order" which my elderly wife found to be distressing. Will not be visiting again!

Brunch with friends. The waiter was not very client focussed. He asked us what we wanted but brought no menus. When he did bring them he expected us to choose immediately without having time to look. When we asked for a few minutes he returned within 2 minutes and seemed surprise when we hadnt all had chance to look at the 2 menus. He ten made desparaging comments aout jam and road kill and was quite rude. Tea cakes were pretty tasteless and our cups were cleared away before we had finished drinking! All in all not a particular relaxing or plesant experience. We may have had more but felt obliged to leave. It was far from busy!

We had booked a table and arrived on time, shown to table and given menus, all good so far. After being ignored for 20 minutes, literally the staff avoided coming down to our end of the restaurant or even looking toward us, we had to go up to the counter to ask if we could place our order. The kids menu consisted of something with chips, although a roast was on offer it was adult portions and price only. The menu was pretty limited and considering there is a bakery franchise on site there were no pies or quiche on the menu despite the local bakery selling them, missed opportunity. Our food started to arrive 50 mins after we had been shown to our table. I could just about accept this because they were busy, if I hadn't watched 3 other families come in, be shown a table, had their order taken and be served their food whilst we had been sitting waiting. My daughters food had to be sent back because it was missing the beans and the staff forgot the drink that came with her meal. On top of this 2 of us suspected that the mash that came with the roast was powdered and not fresh. The restaurant was busy, all bar 2 tables taken when we arrived but there were 6 staff waiting on so should have been more than enough to cover the whole area if they had been organised and controlled properly. I will give the staff their due that they were friendly and polite when they dealt with us. To sum up how we felt is best described by my 7 year old daughters comment - I don't want to come back here again and unfortunately we won't be. Some people have had a good experience here but our experience took the edge off what had been a very good visit to Amerton

I have already reviewed the restaurant service but forgot to include one important element, the restrooms. The ladies toilets were disgusting, the floor was wet and dirty, the bin overflowing with waste, the tap in the sink broken, and cobwebs in the corner of the room. Horrible!

We came across this farm cafe by accident after being diverted because of road repairs. What a wonderful find! The welcome as soon as we walked in was warm and friendly. One of us only wanted a small portion and this was accommodated, no problem. And we weren't charged for a full portion either. We had an enjoyable, relaxed lunch, great food and a lovely pot of tea. Just right to set us up for our onward journey. Would definitely return again, hopefully to take our grandchildren and explore the rest of the ammenities on the farm

Visited with 2 mums, 2 5 year old and a baby, no one greeted us and we had to ask for menus - it wasn’t busy about 3 tables occupied. Ordered 3 x chilli jacket potatoes 1 with cheese and 2 children’s cheesy oatcakes, all reasonably priced and the children happily played in the toy corner whilst we waited. First jacket was black all round the edges so sent back, also the cheese was under the chilli which was ok but odd, it took at least 20 mins to bring a new one, we had all finished eating, but this potato was much bigger, loads more chilli and a lovely side of cheese - the perfect spud! My jacket had about a tablespoons worth of chilli, I did mention the lack of chilli, the response was ‘ that’s our portion sizes’ which I felt was rather curt! However, we then were brought extra chilli and some biscuits at the end of our meal as a bit of an apology I think, it was appreciated. The kids food was really good and they thoroughly enjoyed it. If the food had been a bit more generous and nicer the first time this would be a glowing Review, the tea room was clean and cosy, love the coffee cups and crockery and a really nice feel, will definitely return.

Took the kids for breakfast, and a milkshake. I had the full English which was all fresh local produce, and it was delicious. The kids had a bacon and sausage sandwich, which was on lovely fresh bread, and the other one had crumpets. The highlight for the kids were 2 lovely thick milkshakes made with ice cream.

We called here on the way back from Birmingham and decide to try the cafe for a coffee and cake . On entering the cafe the tables were covered in dirty dishes , the waitress told us to chose a table and would bring the menus over after waiting 10 minutes I got up and found our own menus . We choose an Americano and cappuccino and went to view the cakes there was a very small selection. We decided on a scone each , we sat and waited and the tables still weren’t being cleaned . There seemed plenty of staff behind the counter but didn’t seemed to be doing much . We eventually got our drinks which were luke warm at best and we were only given 1 teaspoon between us . The scones eventually came with no cream or jam the waitress asked us if we wanted any after the scones were shoved on the table . 2 parents with a young child also struggled to get any service as well . But to other ladies came in and got service straight away . Wished we had just an ice cream and traveled on our way very disappointing and wouldn’t recommend

On returning after a few days away from home, we called at Amerton Farm Shop. Purchased our Steak and Kidney Pie, but needed a drink...then we found Finney's, and what a find it was too. The Americano was made to perfection and yes we did have a fruit scone with butter to go with it. Sensible eating to keep our body fit doesn't mean not eating the occasion sin !!! We can recommend this stop and the staff who were so very friendly. We shall be back .....

We celebrated a baby shower here and unfortunately the food was rather disorganised, not great quality and the service lacked real care and attention. We were made to feel that everything we asked for seemed like it was too much trouble for them. It was very expensive for what was provided and seemed like there were less portions of afternoon tea than we paid for. Fortunately for them, they have the monopoly and if you want a nice day out at the farm and other shops this is really the only option for a sit down lunch. Maybe on a quieter day, their normal food and service is better.

Since the new people have taken over the cafe, the menu is very limited. On the evening of Saturday 28 April 2018 Staffordshire Country Link hosted a Spring Meal and Disco with a Raffle in Aid of Midland Air Ambulance at Amerton Farm. It was held at Finney`s in association with Totally Delicious and Mark the DJ. Great food beautifully presented, friendly and efficient service, lovely atmosphere and brilliant disco. A very successful evening, enjoyed by all and raised £190 from the raffle for Midlands Air Ambulance.
