Stopped for a coffee whilst walking our dog. They brought it to us outside where we were sitting. One taste and I couldn’t really taste the coffee so I asked for an extra shot but all that was done was a flush through the machine of a previous shot of coffee all of 2/3 seconds. Now being a barista myself I new this isn’t correct neither is the temperature it was served at (far to hot) not smooth and creamy as a latte should be .All in All nearly £7 spent on a wishe wash hot water. A little training needed I think!

What a little hidden gem the Bod at Stafford is. It was very busy when I was there the atmosphere was great and families were obviously very welcome and like wise the families appeared conformable in the establishment. We had lunch and coffee. There is a bar available, but we were driving. The food took a little while to come but it was really busy. I had the club sandwich, which was excellent, and I could only manage half at the time. The staff were very helpful and supplied me with a takeaway box. The other 2 adults and my granddaughter really enjoyed their food also. I really enjoyed the concept of the Bod, and the friendly staff along with the good food and atmosphere has put the Bod firmly on my places to eat again list. Highly recommend the Bod.

Absolutely dismayed at the treatment we have just received from The Bod. After spending over £50 on breakfast, just to discover that one of the dishes had visible mold growing on it. The attitude of the serving staff was completely inept and did not have a clue about how severe the situation was. Although a refund for the bagel was given, the attitude was put up and shut up. We have left the cafe upset and unfulfilled and at a loss at the total inadequacy of the staff in such a circumstance. We are local, professional people who now will not come again and let our friends and peers know about our experience. Mortified!

Went in for breakfast, waited for it 30mins and turns out it wasn’t ours. Coffee arrived after food. When we finally got our breakfast, the bread was burnt and it was missing butter on side. Bacon was crispy and dry (burnt) and beans were cold. Poached egg was hard. In addition, mushrooms were missing as well. When questioned about the mushrooms, we have been told they ran out (it would have been fine with us if they just mentioned they ran out rather than hide the fact and see if we notice). Also, no table numbers so orders get mixed up constantly! Food was average. I will not return.

This is just the best coffee shop in Stafford by a mark. What you want is friendly service, good coffee, nice food, reasonable prices. This has them all, whether you want just a good coffee, breakfast at 8:30, soup and a roll, or Nachos and a beer in the evening. I love this place, and the staff are always golden. Good also for a wide age range, and dog walkers. Also, the basics, parking is free and easy, you can nearly always find a table, and good for prams and wheelchairs ... what is not to like??

I moved round the corner from here a year ago and really wanted it to be a regular place we go for breakfast. We’ve tried three times now and the food in my opinion is really poor for the price . This time round to prompt my review, we were just so disappointed with the standard of the breakfast and cost us £30 for two people. I had the avacado and eggs . The eggs were hard and the avacado tastes like mushy peas. I’m not sure if they use peas to bulk up the avacado but it’s bright green like mushy peas and tastes like it too. They add a load of peppers to the top too which I do wish they’d put on the menu as they are particularly sweet and don’t really go with avacado and eggs? I would have tried something different otherwise . One positive is the coffee is nice and their sausages are proper butchers ones so taste lovely. We find ourselves driving to Stone to another well known franchise for breakfast now as it’s just been such a waste coming here. We’ll maybe just stick to coffees until they revisit their menu….

Lady came to bring drink as barrel needed to be changed but no offer to clear cups/teapot away. No food on this occasion and could not see anyone else eating on this visit. I like the relaxed atmosphere here and would have stayed for another drink if we weren’t so cold. It was freezing in there. Two of our party didn’t take their coats off. My husbands smashed avocado was more like chopped avocado. Toilets have had a refurb and look great. Seats very wobbly and a health and safety hazard. Otherwise its a very pleasant little cafe but I will be going elsewhere for my poached eggs I'm afraid.

Great find of a lively bar in a suburban area with very good live music. Didn't eat there but the breakfast and lunch menu looks good, the cakes on display looked amazing. Not really set up for evening dining. Good kids menu and good that theres a curfew for children at 9pm. Bar needs a rethink as it's small in comparison to the size of the venue, and the food service area which leads to queuing in a line. Drinks on the warm side. Great atmosphere and a quirky interior.

Ordered my favourite salmon eggs florentine. The poached eggs were firm but runny inside. Salmon was quality and all served on freshly toasted English muffin buttered as requested. Perfectly presented. I always like extra hollandaise. Service was quick and efficent. The member of staff even remembered that I like extra sugar from a previous visit. I was first in this morning, but by 9am quite a lot of people, families enjoying the place. It's a chilled out atmosphere with lots of space to come and relax when catching up with friends or family over some food or even a cup of speciality tea. Free WiFi. Very friendly staff. Great parking opposite at the coop Bodmin. Kid friendly. I would highly recommend. Update 3.11.23 Three years ago I did give this place 5 stars. You can read my review score above. As you can tell I do love my egg floretine as a favoured breakfast. Over the last 3 or 4 times, I have visited, the eggs have been very hit and miss. Sometimes they are over cooked, i.e hard and as today, one was under cooked. I requested it to be done again. Unfortunately it came back undercooked. Unfortunately the consistency has been up and down with this place. From excellent to poor. I don't really want to start my day with a suboptimal breakfast. I did report this to the manager and they welcomed the feedback. I certainly won't be going back for while asuntil they get things righ.

Lovely place and the older member of staff that was taking orders was actively busy. However the two younger members of staff, the dark haired girl and the "chef" we're extremely slow. We ordered cheese on toast, a tray bake, a coffee and a hot chocolate. The tray bake came first, then we waited 10 mins...... Then the hot drinks.... so we waited nearly 40 minutes for the cheese on toast!! Frustratingly, the "chef" (and I use that term loosely) seemed more concerned with flicking his fringe and chatting up the waitress than doing his job. So the two stars are purely for the older person who didn't stop, bless her. In fact, if it was down to just her I'd give her 5 stars. Sorry Bod, you have a lovely cafe vibe but the young service staff are sloooowwww.

I have been going to this Bod since it opened and it is very popular. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful. I've had a few basic snacks but mainly drinks. A substantial attraction, I think, is because it is dog friendly. Unfortunately I believe this is getting out of hand. I have witnessed two situations which I think supports my view. A few weeks I saw two dogs fighting each other with their handlers trying to part them. This was on the opposite side of the cafe to me but I saw the concern on some faces. There were five dogs in at that time, which I could see. On 2 February 2023 it affected me directly. It was busy and due to lack of choice I had to sit on a table next to a barking dog. I had soup which came with bread/butter and was very tasty. However, whilst I'm eating this the dog I've mentioned and another started to bark loudly and incessantly which caused a number of people to start looking around. What added to my discomfort was the nearby dog decided to shack himself and I saw particals of hair and dust rise into the air, some of which must have been floating in my difrection. Very off putting and not healthy. There were six dogs there. Sorry to say this, but I think there should be a limit. I realise of course this will not happen.

Quirky place…not sure whether to call it a cafè, resturant or bar, however the atmosphere was relaxed & the food was lovely. Small menu in the evening & not your ‘normal’ meals which felt strange at first, then quite a refreshing change…variety of home made sausage rolls, ploughman’s, cheese platter, nachos…along with few other choices, served with pickles & salad. Service was quick & the prices are good. I felt it was a little cold inside…however others were fine. Some locals were knitting whilst having a chat, cyclists met there mid ride, dog are allowed inside - as I said; quirky, but nice.

Bod on Bodmin Avenue has drastically improved since last year although still has a way to go with customer servive and the friendliness of staff. Fine when the place isn't busy but it just takes a few tables to be busy to feel like the staff are overwhelmed and can be quite snippy with customers.
