The resturant was totally exceptable. Maybe my comment should not be here however the public toilets (Ladies) on this floor were awful. They smelt of urine, a radiator was rusty, the grouting in the tiles dirty. So the overall feeling of this faciltiy was not good. Dingles has always been a premier department store, you can't sell quality goods then have awful toilets. They let you down.

Our second visit, they can't get anything right. Last time coffee was all milk, said they hadn't a problem. This time charged for 2 teas but only had one pot with one teabag and two hot water top up pots. Food was not good and for the price it was a rip off. IMHO. Poorly managed and the manager not very friendly, we were very lucky to get the money back for the pot of tea we didn't get. A free drink (value less than a cup of tea) next visit voucher was snatched back when I insisted on a refund for the tea. The manager admitted the coffee machine did have a fault when we last visited. We will not return.

I came into the restaurant with my husband who is in a wheelchair, the staff were so polite and helpful, taking our tray to the table and getting the cutlery and condiments for us so I didn't have to struggle. The breakfast was really good no grease and tasty. Will definitely return.

Yesterday I went there with one of my colleagues and two of our residents ( I'm working in a residential home) to have lunch. The two residents are disabled people and were on wheelchairs so I was paying the food for each one of them separately and requested a receipt for each meal .I also requested their meals to be paid cash and the other 2 meals( for me and my colleague) with a card.I knew that it is was more job to do for the man working at the till but financial abuse is a safeguarding issue and I was very careful with their money..The man got nervous and I could see his obviously unwelcomg face and attitude. At first the two meals were served and afterwards a lady came with 3 meals on the tray.By the way she was the only one polite staff I met there.Being honest I ' ve told her that we haven't paid for 3 meals and may be it was a mistake and she could take back the 3rd meal. When we went back to the residential home I found out that I had one more receipt for a meal and another one for a coffee which was for a lady who was in front of me on the que.In other words instead of being honest I was the stupid one who had paid a meal but returned it back. This was my first and the last visit to this place. And on the top of it the area where we were sitting was dirty , There were still chips and bits of food on the floor probably left from the previous customers .

I’m writing a review really about a lovely young lady that I met this morning who works here - her name is Aimee ! I visited with my elderly mum for breakfast and unfortunately tipped my coffee all over the table /chair and breakfasts - Aimee swiftly noticed this and without asking she calmly and discreetly cleared everything up with a smile and a real beautiful aura around her which can not be forced ! Well done to her who made my morning today just a little brighter - you are destined for great things in life !

Great lunch, new lemon chicken gives the fish and chips a run for its money. Attentive cheerful staff, and a great view over the city. Well Done.

Coffee is rubbish, it's weak and watery and for £3.30 for a regular it's well over priced. Been coming here for years but won't be returning.

This is a great place for a relaxing break from shopping. The food is very good and the service is second to none. There is a good selection for the lunch menu but for me the best thing is to get there in time for breakfast. The seating has great views over the city. There is a small area for young children to play in. All in all this is a real Gem in the heart of the city.

I visited the restuarant today with my nephew and sister-in-law as a special treat for both of their birthdays. We bought drinks and went and sat down and the next thing we knew there were two lovely staff members coming our way with fresh muffins with lit candles and both girls were singing "happy birthday". As you can imagine we were gob smacked, what a lovely thing to do. Apparently a member of staff heard us talking in the queue and noticed my nephew wearing a birthday badge. We were informed they do this for any customer who has a birthday. I will definitely visit the Restuarant again. What a lovely team of staff they have working there.

Last year we discovered the unattended converted horse box near Devonport Park but in January we found the established shop/cafe in Albert Road. Very friendly and good selection of food all home baked. We think round the back of this cafe.

Can be nice during the day but weekend evenings just avoid the place. Unless you are looking for starting a punch up or feel like waiting for someone else to start with you. Someone should take a serious look at maximum capacity numbers a bit closer
