I was a big fan of Garage 108 (which unfortunately closed), so I was delighted to find out the chef started a new project. I visited with high expectations and wasn't disappointed! Surprising, memorable and delicious. There was a vibrant atmosphere and the service was excellent. En brèf, top cuisine in a top ambiance. It's also an ideal venue for vegetarians, probably one of the best I have visited so far (especially if you are after something that isn't 'thirteen in a dozen').

The atmosphere was amazing and the food was very tasty but it was so expensive for the tiniest portions. Two small pieces of shrimp are £22. A small leek is £12. You will either spend a fortune or leave hungry. The portion sizes should be double for the price.

Delicious and sophisticated sample menu! Cocktails were also on point! Please see some of the photos I have posted. We can’t wait to be back!

I had a wonderful evening already and needed a finishing touch....I went to Portobello Road to find a great restaurant and as by coincidence, stumbled upon this place. The welcome was warm, the food really special and great, service was top notch......in one word: GOLDEN! I seem to be the first one writing about here on TA.........maybe I shouldn't have and kept the secret to myself ? :)

£18 for a baked sweet potato and salad… The price was quite ridiculous to be honest, for simple home cooked food, it should be more reasonable. Won’t be recommending

Very nice. It was good to have a bowl of straciatella after all these years. A cosy local neighbour restaurant. Lovely profiteroles wherethey came from. This is an old fashioned restaurant so more the better

This is the best afternoon tea we’ve ever had! I spent a lot of time researching different more well known places but this seemed to have way more interesting food options for the same price. As soon as we stepped into the hotel, the staff were incredibly friendly and caring. Then we were led to our seats and the atmosphere was so calm and relaxing which I think would be definitely less so at other places. We were served by a lovely man who said his nickname was Harry so thank you to Harry for the amazing care!! The service was attentive and sincere and he explained everything thoroughly and we never felt rushed the whole time. We felt really looked after by everyone. The sandwiches were the best we’ve ever had at an afternoon tea! Really unique and fresh and delicious. Our favourites were the crab and grapefruit with trout roe roll and the salmon croissant with poached egg and pickled onion. They let us have extra! We got to try two different teas too. Overall you get lots of food at a very high standard that you don’t get anywhere else. I’m surprised it’s not very well known compared to other afternoon teas but I do love how it’s a hidden gem selfishly. Would definitely come back again! Had the loveliest time and think i’d struggle to find a better afternoon tea! ❤️❤️
