Lovely food and service. The puddings are to die for and cost only £3.50! A 6 item cooked breakfast with a drink is just over £6. The jacket potatoes are very tasty and with a filling are only £6/7

6 of us went to Adrian Hall cafe this afternoon for aftenoon tea to celebrate our friends 80th Birthday it was not as advertised not the dainty tea that i was expecting chunky sausage rolls,no sandwich selection, cake were cut up muffins and bits of fruit cake looked like all the left overs not very attractive what happened to the fancy pastries. The only thing that was acceptably were the scones and cream.Needless to say i will not be returning. Think the cafe must have changed hands since i last visited such a shame.very disappointed

The service is dreadful. Waited 20mins for drinks to come then after food was served had to ask for the table to be cleared. Food was very greasy and they got the order wrong!! Perhaps the young waitresses need a little more training.

I took my elderly mother to Adrian Halls today for lunch, unfortunately it was closed due to staff shortages. This we understood but perhaps it would have made sense to put a sign up to this effect and removed the menu and the sign that said please wait to be seated. If these simple steps had been taken it would have meant a member of staff wouldn't have needed to bark at us that they were closed. She had already shouted at a member of staff for clearing away broken glass. I appreciate it was on the shop floor but posed an immediate hazard to people leaving the cafe. In today's economic crisis I think a bit of customer service training for your staff would not go amiss.

Had a lovely ham sandwich. Freshly cut bread with lots of ham and salad garnish. Little outside area to sit and eat if you want to.

I’ve been to this cafe several times over the last month. I have had soup a couple of times which have been very tasty. I’ve had a couple of cooked breakfasts which have been very nice and reasonably priced and today had jacket potato with chilli which was lovely and good value for money. The service has always been good and the food served without waiting long

Popped in around 2pm to Adrian Hall garden centre cafe. Perhaps there had been a previous rush on as dirty plates on a number of tables. Waitresses a bit surly - maybe they’re usually lovely but were just tired after a busy day. Had run out of lots of staples such as jacket potatoes, fish and chips & filled baguettes. Kitchen closed while I was there so maybe it had been really busy. Ordered an omelette which was the nicest I’ve had & thoroughly delicious. Reasonably priced. Would return again for an omelette

Most people will know this cafe as Adrian Hall Garden Centre cafe. We have been going to Adrian Hall for a good few years with mixed results. But we went there with my family on Saturday 6th April and there were 5 of us, we were told there was a 15 minute wait for food which we accepted and were shown to a table. 20 Minutes later we still had not even been shown a menu and I noticed that the two couples who were behind us in the queue, had been served. We waited a further 5 minutes but we decided enough was enough and got up to leave. Although apologies were made how can you ignore a table for 5 x people? Prior to the above we had been standing in the queue for 5 minutes without even being acknowledged, I should have realised at that time to expect poor service.

I cannot rate this cafe (Adrian Hall Garden Centre) highly enough. We went there due to a recommendation. The food is restaurant standard, outstanding. I do not know how they produce such wonderful food from a small kitchen. My husband and I had the roast lamb, the best in the area comparing it to local restaurants and pubs. My husband then had the bread and butter pudding, he’s an expert! Said was one of the best he’s ever had, not bad from a 65 year old! Will be going here regularly now. Great food, great menu and fantastic staff.

Very pleasant visit, almost empty on Tuesday at 1430 when afternoon tea service starts. Pleasant staff. I had coffee and cream scone, my wife had tea, scone and finger sandwiches. Very reasonably priced and served nicely, even a cake stand for hers. All arrived very promptly, other than my wife’s food which seemed to take forever, so that her tea was getting cold by then.

I use the Cafe Adrian Hall (located within the Adrian Hall Garden Centre) on a regular basis. They offer a wide range of great value for money dishes, including sandwiches, cakes, omelettes, soups, roasts and much more. Staff are very pleasant and the food served is really good and where relevant, is freshly prepared and great quality. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone, and will be using this establishment for a very long time to come.

A single pint on a quiet Thursday afternoon when most people are working is not the best time to assess a pub. It seems rather run down but as I walked around the pub I see it's a live music pub with a good sized stage so the retro 70s look feels appropriate. There's a good selection of beer and the bar staff were friendly and efficient. I look forward to coming here on a live music night and anticipate posting an improved score.
