Food here is so good! It’s so hard what to choose! The iced coffee is 10/10 too! Had the rosti breakfast and added a few extras and was not disappointed! More people need to know about this little place! Looking forward to trying the supper club and the kid’s activities in the next half term.

Attended for brunch today and we were seriously disappointed from start to finish. We’d pre booked our table and upon arrival, the lady behind the counter pointed us towards where our table was, whereby we walked over and sat down, thinking someone would then be over shortly to bring us a menu. Nearly 10 minutes passed and nobody had approached us to deliver a menu; instead the waitresses were doing washing up and shuffling around with their handbags instead of showing any interest in their customers. Eventually I asked for some menus which were delivered, only to sit there waiting for a further period of time, before eventually being told we had to “order at the counter”. It would have been really helpful if we were informed about this upon arrival!! After placing our food order at the counter, one meal being “yogurt and fruit” for our 5 year old, we were then informed 7 minutes later that they had no fruit and had to change the order. When my Turkish Eggs and my husband’s Chorizo Eggs arrived, both portions of the sourdough toast on our plates was burnt to a crisp! We’d been fully expecting this though, as before our plates arrived, the entire cafe stank of burning toast and it was a wonder the fire alarm hadn’t gone off!! My husband had given up by that point, but I decided to send my food back. When my plate was returned, they’d replaced the burnt toast with a bit of warm bread (instead of actual toast). It was clear they didn’t care whatsoever! They also bought out my daughter’s toast without any offer of butter, which we had to ask for…. Odd for a cafe serving nothing but a brunch menu!! The whole experience from start to finish was terrible. There was zero cheery atmosphere (no music or radio on) and the staff were inattentive & unhelpful. The drinks menus were also tatty/dirty and need replacing ASAP. This is not the upmarket little cafe that this place claims to be (according to all their social media)! We certainly will not be returning.

My daughter recommended and came with us . What a pleasure it was to have lunch /brunch here. We hadn’t booked (I will in future ) but we were found a table . Immaculate with good interesting menus without being pretentious. Very pleasant staff. As for the food, just prefect for brunch, really decent portions and sensibly priced whilst mixing trendy with traditional… and at long last I’ve found somewhere who know how to make a good cup of tea and served by the pot !

Good location Lattes not great at all - had to drink water afterwards to remove after taste. Service slow. Staff would not let us sit at a quiet table as requested (1.45pm). We had to wait until they cleared another table. Staff gave us a menu and didn’t tell us we had to order at the counter, so sat for ages until noticing a sign. No mobile signal.

What a gem of a place! Staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food delicious. I had the green shakshuka and my cousin had All Avo, and we both commented on the poached eggs, which were just right. If I were to make any criticism it would be that the prices were slightly higher than I would expect, but absolutely not outrageous. My cousin and I will definitely be going again after one of our Tuesday walks!

The food is excellent but rather overpriced. Sadly, my visit with a friend was spoilt by the rude behaviour of a staff member behind the counter. First impressions are important, and this woman's attitude tarnished our first (and probably last) visit to Fed. When we walked in were told (rather curtly) to sit down in a space between the main area of the cafe and the kitchen, and then return to the counter to place our order. Unfortunately, there is very little space for customers. I was forced to wait while she served a couple with a dog. After being served they wanted to move deeper into the cafe so I swapped places with them and was told, very abruptly, that I was in the way of any people who might want to come through the door. For some reason, she didn't say that to the couple. I would have walked out there and then but decided to stay as my friend's wife had recommended this place and we both wanted to see what the food was like. The food was good but the smell of fat from the kitchen was rather unpleasant, and that, coupled with the pricing and the rude behaviour of the staff member whose job is to welcome customers, left us feeling rather disappointed. The owners clearly need to implement table service to avoid nonsense like this happening again. And teaching their customer-facing staff some basic manners would be a good starting point.

We went to Fed on the green for lunch, what can I say, the whole experience was fabulous. We were greeted well from the staff, they were very helpful, showing us how to order. I chose a pumpkin spice latte, is was seriously one of the best coffee's I have had anywhere. My husband and I both chose the Aminator, this was an absolute taste sensation, so many elements to the dish. Would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you girls, you all did a fabulous job. I love this place. I’ve been many times over the last year. The staff are friendly and the menu is interesting and regularly added to/updated. I’m especially a fan of the coffee, the best you can get for miles around here. Also really like their breakfasts and the toasties are very good too. I’d highly recommend a visit.

The coffee is nice. Extremely expensive. The kids brunch is a joke. My little one had a ramekin of beans and half a slice of toast for £7. The cakes are nice but again way out of price point. The toasties are disappointing and the brunch was average. Will Come again for convenience but you’re better off with a competitor in the area.

It’s not often I write a review, however I was disappointed on my recent trip to the Fed. In particular the cheese toastie that was £9.99. Although the bread was nice, it was very thin & there was absolutely zero filling for what was suppose to be a three cheese toastie! Coffee was ok but again, not much for the cost. Very expensive for average items.

I have visited the cafe a few times and had varied experiences. Once was lovely, food delicious, good service but on the other occasions there were issues e.g booking incorrect, or no apparent booking even though confirmed on email, food order incorrect, hot drinks cold, poor service. The food and drinks are overpriced, London prices for a cafe in Maidstone. The hot drinks are expensive for a small glass/cup, especially the hot chocolate.

I went here for the first time today and after my experience, wanted to leave a review as I'd noticed as a lot of the reviews on here weren't great and don't reflect my experience at all. The service today was great. The team behind the counter were really friendly and happy. My caramel oat latte was stunning and I had chorizo eggs to eat which was also delicious. I'll definitely be visiting again!

Disappointed to write this - was first visit and had been looking forward to enjoying this superbly located cafe on the green. Happy to be there and keen to see what others had recommended. Plenty of parking on this usually busy corner so good start. However, service at the counter was curt, no smiles and not overly friendly - perhaps caught the (young) server on a bad day? Coffee tasted great but was in a very small mug and not overly warm so was not good value for money. If I return will be hoping for happier service and better value for money.

I am so disappointed to write this, as a little café like this is just what the village needs, but this is the only the 2nd time of going and I am still so underwhelmed. I went when it first opened and thought there were just teething issues, poor guidance for the younger servers and just being a bit disorganised for newly opening but I have now experienced MOULDY BREAD on a sandwich. Once highlighting we were met with not a great attitude about this either.. For the prices charged, I expect to get a great standard with engaging, attentive staff and warm drinks & food. And you just don't, even after a few months of being open and presumably having the time to iron out the issues here. Also what is "advertised" on Instagram is a whole world away from what they are providing. Such a shame!

Underwhelmed I'm afraid. Arrived 30 mins. before closing to find all food cleared away from display and chairs cleared away (!) except for one table. A member of staff was hoovering up and frankly I felt like a nuisance. Also drink was served in a take away cup making me feel even more unwelcome. Won't rush back which is a shame because the cafe is just what the village needs.

Lovely place, but my food was very poor. I ordered the steak sandwich and it was nothing like what was posted on Instagram. I'm not sure if it's meant to be cold but the steak was barely warm and mushrooms like they had come out of the fridge, I had 4 tiny slithers of steak and loads of mushrooms for £14.95. In the photo the bread looks toasted, mine was straight out of the packet and dry as a bone as you can see in the photos. No one actually asked how our food was to let them know.

Good menu variety but small portions, overpriced (£4.50 for the tiniest chai latte), cake was bland n dry and very slow service. Take away people arriving after us were prioritised over us dining in. One stroppy member of staff berated a newbie in-front of customers which was unprofessional. In fact, all the staff apart from the chap seem a bit stuck up with no personality if I’m honest and inexperienced. They don’t engage with the customers at all and I think you need that for a village cafe. Was totally ignored the first time I visited despite 2 staff seeing me and the manager sitting on a stool texting. Would’ve been nice to be acknowledged with a “be with you shortly” so I left.

The service was almost non-existent. Our drinks order was incorrect and we were given cutlery for 5 instead of 7. The waiting staff were not friendly and it was difficult to attract their attention. We felt ignored and left sitting on uncomfortable seats in a hot, smelly and, at one one stage, smoky atmosphere for over an hour and a quarter without being asked if we wanted any more drinks. There was no explanation for this unacceptable delay and no apology was offered as to why there was such a long wait for our food. The food itself was just ok but I think, heavily overpriced. Needless to say, we won’t be going back.

Bearsted has been waiting for a cafe like this for such a long time. I really hope the issues I have experienced are just teething issues, but I know my husband has a similar view when he visited more recently. I’m not keen on the layout, if you sit to the left of the door people are queuing up behind you. The prices are just too much. Particularly for the sub par standard of service received. I really enjoyed what I did have to eat but I haven’t been back since despite being very local. I can’t justify the price of the food and the lack of availability for vegans. My vegan friend couldn’t have anything on the menu. I hope to return soon and have a better experience.

Wonderful location for a cafe and very well presented. It’s the perfect location for a much needed cafe for the village. Good selection of food for adults. The cafe is extremely over priced for such inadequate portions. One of few places we’ve visited where we’ve come away still hungry. The menu is pretentious with little on the plate. Whilst everyone loves to support locals could it not be made affordable to people so they are getting some value for money?

Placed my order for 5 fish and chips only to be told when it came to pay they only took cash. I haven’t carried cash for 5 years. In a world where many organisations (wrongly in my opinion) are cashless it seems very odd that this establishment won’t take cards. Had to leave without our meal as I only had my phone didn’t have a card to get cash. Won’t be back unless they start to accept card payment on phone.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY GO TO MOMO INSTEAD 0 stars as even one star is too much ‼️‼️ I went with my friends and partner to celebrate my graduation at babaseesh i should have looked at previous review so this is a warning to everyone, cost of living is high so we expect a certain standard when spending our money. My friends and I were very excited for the bottomless brunch, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. I would like to outline the specific issues we encountered in the hopes that you can address them. 1. **Slow Service and Bottomless Brunch Drinks**: As part of the bottomless brunch, we expected prompt service with cocktails, but the drinks took an unreasonably long time to arrive. Over the course of the event, we were only able to get two - 3 cocktails, despite the fact that the event was marketed as "bottomless." This was incredibly frustrating, especially considering the cost of the event. 2. **Unanswered Dietary Request**: Prior to the event, I emailed your team who did not respond as we also had a friend coming with a nut allergy and to let them know about dietary needs, don’t bother they don’t respond. However, this request was not acknowledged, and upon arrival, we requested two fish meals, the meals was not provided. We informed the staff that two of us required fish-based meals, but only one was brought to the table. We were told that another meal was coming, but after 30 minutes, we were informed it would not be arriving at all. This lack of communication and follow-through was highly disappointing. 3. **Unacceptable Handling of Refund Request**: When we raised the issue about the missing meal, we were met with poor customer service. The staff refused to offer any compensation and took a while to agree to refund the meal. 4. The staff were generally slow and unhelpful, and the manager was dismissive when we tried to address the issues. Their rude attitude only added to the frustration, as we were made to feel as though our concerns were unimportant. 5. The food was overly salty, and considering the high price of the event (£54 for just two cocktails), the value was simply not there. We left feeling that we had paid for an experience that didn’t deliver in any way. Given these issues, I would strongly recommend saving your money and looking elsewhere for a bottomless brunch experience. For example, Momo's RNB offers a much better experience in terms of service non stop flow of drinks , food, and value. Babasheesh did not meet any of the expectations set, and I would rate the overall experience a 0.5 out of 10. I hope you take this feedback seriously and make necessary improvements. Recommendation for vegetarians Would not recommend Vegetarian options They don’t cater for you so don’t bother going how a restaurant can say they only had one fish and no other options is ridiculous
