Called in for a late breakfast while in the area. Staff are so friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is perfect. Great mix of locals and tourists in the cafe. Food was amazing and the coffee was perfect mix of flavour and strength we had a full Yorkshire breakfast and the fruit porridge Both were perfect in presentation and flavour. So good we made a special trip back on our way home rather than going to Betty’s !

Well done ladies you have absolutely smashed a truly wonderful cafe !! We had 2 different home made quiche which were out of this world … the best we have ever tasted by far we’re still talking about it now 🤣 all you ladies were friendly on arrival, the atmosphere was very welcoming immediately. On leaving we shared a few little amusing stories which we all laughed about !! Carry on doing you as you are you don’t need anything improving. I will definitely be back for good food value for money & great rapport!! Thank you for adding to our memorable day 👍

Millie and Jess went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. Food and drink were great and the grandchildren rated the milkshakes better than the ones in Ealing. Coffee was excellent and smooth rather than coarse and bitter. It was such a good experience that I went back every day that I was in Pickering.

Went in for brunch on Wednesday. Arrived at 11.30 so they were still on the breakfast menu. I asked if mushrooms on toast could be made vegan - no the mushrooms are pre-cooked in butter and warmed through to serve. OK, so I asked for smashed avocado and tomatoes on toast (on the menu this comes with poached egg). Server came back to say that they'd checked with supplier and their bread has milk in, so they had nothing vegan to offer at all!! I asked if I could have a vegan burger, which I've had in here before, and was told no they don't have anything prepped for the afternoon menu so couldn't do that. By this time it was after 11.30 so you would think they could have accommodated that request. They had also run out of smoked salmon which my mum had ordered (even though there were loads of staff standing around and the co-op over the road sells it!) We've been in here a few times before for the vegan burgers. It's the only vegan option on the menu and they often seem to run out. If it's the only vegan option you offer you should make sure you never run out! On this occasion, we left and won't be giving Feast another chance in future. Capplemans is a few doors down and they offer several vegan options so are a much better bet.

Ran out of - avocado - salmon - no rarebit? Another couple of items ‘none left’ this was a Wednesday at 12.45. There were various food shops in the high street selling ingredients. Made no sense. What we had was very nice just baffling that they couldn’t pop over the road to get what was needed to offer a full menu.

Popped in for a quick healthy bite to eat on a blustery (but dry - yay!) Saturday lunch. Doesn’t look particularly inviting from the outside or inside come to that. Pretty bare and lacks a welcome or two. Flowers on the table wouldn’t go amiss - but the greeting was friendly enough. They made a lovely fuss of our dog and were quick to take our order. We enjoyed two of the most delicious salads. You are probably thinking that you can’t go wrong with a salad but those that know - know you really can! Mine was smoked salmon and prawns. Ample of both with a lovely dressing, variety of leaves and tomatoes but just hit the spot. Similarly with my husbands ham & egg salad we both said how delicious they were.

We visited to order breakfast and it was a mildly busy morning but a few empty tables so nothing too taxing. After being seated and given menus two more tables behind us filled up. The waitress took the orders of those two tables before us and, after waiting 15-20 minutes, I asked a passing waitress if we could order. This waitress who then took the order was quite rude, she told us there was a wait on food which was fine, but I then asked how long she thought it was be… I didn’t even finish my question before she cut me off and snapped ‘I don’t know’. It was pretty awkward, I get she may have been stressed but no need to be rude. It then took 20 minutes for 2 glasses of water, 2 bottles of fresh orange and 1 latte to arrive at our table. The next waitress was much nicer, she came back to say there would be a 45 minute wait on the food and would we like to stay or cancel our order. We asked if we could discuss and then we’d let her know. She said that was fine We heard her relay this to the chef who then said ‘well that’s not good is it because if they fanny about making a decision I might have already started their food’. The chef clearly wasn’t interested that we could hear as we were seated next the kitchen and could see her. The 2 star rating is just because of the one nice waitress we had and she seemed genuinely sorry that things weren’t running on time. Everybody else was rude and clearly having customers in general was just an inconvenience to them.

We visited Feast on Saturday morning 4 March after trailing around Pickering trying to find an establishment that offered Gluten free options and Feast was the last place we tried before giving up . The staff were so welcoming and friendly and advised that most of their menu could be offered as a gluten free alternative so we went ahead and placed our order. I had the BBC Bacon:, Brie which came with a mixed side salad which was delicious and some coleslaw . My husband had the sausage special sandwich which was also delicious, one decaf tea and a flat white. Lovely food very reasonably price and a great place to chill out , we were served by a young lady called Rhianna who was super friendly: customer focused and efficient. All the staff were really lovely and friendly and we would definitely recommend this eatery to everyone .

Arrived as a group 8 people, they didn’t seem best pleased with our arrival for some reason, we found somewhere to sit and were rudely told we couldn’t sit there, after some discussion half the group decided leave due to the way they were spoken to. My family decided to give them the benefit of the doubt because they seemed busy only to sit there and listen to them discussing our family members who left, at this point we also decided to leave. Poor manners! I couldn’t comment on the food because all other customers were all waiting to be served so I didn’t even see any food. The waitress with brown hair and tattoos on her arm gruffly told me they weren’t doing food anymore we were too late. I went back out feeling very embarrassed by this woman as everyone in the cafe had looked at me whilst she shouted at me. Then I thought ok if I can’t have lunch I’ll just get cake. Went back in and she grunted at me “which cakes?”. No politeness or smiles. This pandemic and new way of living is hard for all of us. I think your staff need to remember that. Looking for a nice breakfast where we could bring our little doggy with us. We found feast, nice little looking cafe and seemed to have a good menu, gluten free for my friend too, even better! There were no clean tables to seat us all to start with but a member of staff came down immediately to clean this for us. We all ordered different and catered for a gluten free diet and a slimming world diet (slimmed milk for latte & gluten free bread). The service was a little slow and we seemed to be waiting a while for drinks. The iced coffees were lovely and refreshing. The eggs benedict first arrived incorrect (with ham instead of salmon) however this was rectified immediately. The poached eggs did arrive over cooked and not runny in the middle but they were nice organic fresh eggs. We all left full and happy with our little dog friendly discovery. Lovely food and in a good location. The staff were lovely, made a fuss over our little pup and even gave her a little treat. it’s the little things, thank you!

Whilst on holiday and noticing this cafe is dog friendly my wife and I called in for a tea and coffee plus a piece of cake all was exelent apart from the coffee a flat white came as one size which I think was a bit on the small side until i asked for another cup and enquired could they make it large to which they said yes so please put this on the menu as a choice. This is no reflection on the cafe in general because the cafe is great so well done to the staff....

It was easy to understand why there were lots of people in this modern cafe on a cold Wednesday morning. The coffee is excellent with fast and friendly service.

My friend and I went for lunch whilst shopping in Pickering, the food was excellent and the staff were very helpful, we particularly enjoyed the coffee and cakes! I would recommend a visit to anyone in the area looking for a snack or a meal in very pleasant surroundings.

This is our second visit to Feast and both have been great. It's been a challenge trying to find somewhere with a good breakfast / brunch offering but feast does it well. Friendly and efficient staff, contemporary surroundings, decent amount of seating, nice menu. I had eggs royale on my last visit and pancakes with eggs, bacon and maple syrup this time. Both were delicious! My partner had the full Yorkshire breakfast which was equally plentiful & great quality. Great food and good value. We will be back!

Decent choice of food available however we ordered pie mash Mushy peas and gravy. Only had 1 pie (so got a pasty as there was 2 of us) Mash was made from a jacket potato it was very lumpy tinned peas over blasted in the microwave served with a smile however forgot the gravy and it arrived half way through us eating the meal. Sadly this place could be a little gold mine if run correctly and proper attention to detail applied with the food. We hafmd our lunch at 12.15 so there was no way they could have ran out of mash? Could do better really

Booked the brewery tour package from Red Letter days. The tour was very informative with Josh being a fountain of knowledge and obviously loving brewing and beer. His witty remarks and low key humour really made the tour enjoyable. The beer tasting in the bar was flexible and offered a pint taken eith as a pint, two halves or a flight of 3, third pints to enable a range to be tried! Although a small brewery they have some quite advanced mechanisation for bottling, canning and casking! Very impressed,

A lovely friendly bakery, just one wee table to sit and and have a coffee and observe the comings and goings of the regulars, the holiday makers and day trippers. Bread and cakes wonderful, a lovely lady owns this place and I wish her well!

This cafe has been closed for months. There doesnt seem any sight of it reopening. I think the owner was having staff problems and suffering from unsympathetic reviews. We enjoyed our visits and good food. Shame
