It’s about time you shut or tidy up your place! I bought a fillet burger meal two nights ago and for the 3rd time from your restaurant, I’ve got food poisoning!! Still feel very rough. I’m not the only person I know locally to be like this. 3 of my friends have had food poisoning more that once from your establishment. How you’ve got a 5 star rating beats me. Should be 3 tops. I’ve given your place chances over the years but as I say. I try not to eat here but 3 very bad poisoning over 5 years with probably only eating her 5 times in 5 years. For me and my family we are shutting the door on your place. Sort the food out or shut your doors your self. Terrible place!!

Chicken was very raw, overpriced, I have them my burger back after I saw it was raw, when I got another one back, it was still raw

Update: Much better now, back to what it was like. These guys are usually consistently 4/5 star, but in the past month or so, the chicken has been heavily under seasoned on multiple recent orders, can barely taste any salt, msg and other seasoning. I’ll order again from here soon, and I’ll definitely amend my review to 4 star if seasoning improves, so please check your flour dredge as the seasoning levels seem to be way off recently (at least for fillet burger and wrap normal, not fire). If seasoning goes back to what it has always been, then price, taste, consistency and delivery times definitely make it 4/5 star for this place.

How any one can eat from here is beyond me the food is inedible the ribs are fatty and taste awful, the coleslaw tastes out of date, burger was ok best part of the meal was the chips avoid the ribs at all cost left such a foul taste in my mouth

Was quite disappointed never been disappointed from here but today got proven otherwise. I got my food delivered and not only was it half hour late it was freezing cold, the bread was soggy from how long it was sitting there for and half of our order didn’t even come with the food. Won’t be getting it delivered again.

After being a very regular customer.. came here with my two dogs ( both leaded) and was told very abruptly no, get out! If i had 2 big dogs i would understand, but i just wanted to look at the menu and place an order. Would happily wait outside until my food was ready.. very rude and hostile attitude i was met with!

Ordered two pieces of chicken and chips with a drink for £5.49. The chicken was smaller than a hotwing and got the smallest packet of chips. Waste of money

Always take over 1.5 hour to delivery. Call for an update and never get a straight answer. DONT bother

Lovely chicken and ribs, good fries and fresh sides, cooked bang on fresh and hot, wicked herbs and spices, (favourites own recipe). Most times I have a take away, orders always correct and always fresh and tasty, friendly helpful staff. Have eaten in on occasions, basic, clean, friendly place to enjoy food. Used regularly and recommend.

they get the orders wrong, poor quality, cold fries

Awful, cold chicken, dry and stale chips. Owner lied about food just being take out the fryer. Beans were congealed. Poor service, poor food do not bother.

Just had a very strange encounter with favourite chicken, ordered through just eat then saw online that they were closed, rang up and found out they're not closed, delivery was a tad late but when they arrived he rang and said he can't find the property come down and get it, he was parked right outside my home and hadn't even bothered exiting the car infact he didn't even bother looking for my property because I saw him pull up. Our order was wrong and when I went on just eat to check what I had ordered they had disappeared off there as they had closed down it was only 8:00. The whole experience put me off because of how dodgy the situation was and I didn't end up eating my food

Food was nice but customer service and delivery times were outrageous. Waited 30 mins longer then what its supposed to be rang the first time saying it was leaving and then rang again 30 minutes later still no sign then car drove round the corner even when we were waiting outside then drove back 5 minutes minutes later obviously lost I'm disappointed with the delivery as I am a paying customer and I eat here quite often,.

The burgers are good but NEVER get the chicken wings I got 4 and all of them were pink and even red. Definitely undercooked. Just search across the street for another restaurant, you'll have a better experience. Don't risk it

If I want fried chicken I will travel from Harlow to this favourite chicken it's the best by far

Love a bit of chicken & chips now and then but struggled to find anywhere decent near to where we live in Hertford and were fed up of the inconsistency of KFC. A friend told me about Favourite Chicken and we tried it for the first time last night. Wonderful food. The chicken is so succulent and tasty. Chips excellent. They definitely deliver a great product and we'll be using them again.

Great Food for at least 15 years.... Defiantly recommend.

Mostly Fresh food, can't complain

Don’t normally order from here as there are other chicken shops locally however we thought we would give this chicken shop a go. Quick delivery and food was really nice however was let down by the rude man on the phone who basically called us liars. The food turned up and we were missing a portion of chips. We called to ask if they could bring us the portion we were missing and he said straight away that it was impossible as he packed it himself and there was no way chips were missing. We then replied to say, that all well he packed it but unfortunately they are missing. He carried on saying they can’t be missing until 30 seconds later after a massive huff from him, he said he will send us the portion. In the end we told him not to bother as we didn’t trust he wouldn’t do something to the food. Blatantly rude to a customer.

Had a really good experience with this shop. The young man on the phone was super lovely and was really helpful. I was told that it would be 45mins and it was. The chicken, wings and chips were great for the amount you pay. We will go back.

The worst chicken shop ever! They must be re-cooking the chips 3 or 4 times it was not tasting right. I can't describe how rude the guy was it's just unbleivable! If you don't like your job or what so ever don't do it simple as that mate, this is ridicilious! People are paying for food no one should be getting poor service just for the sake of it. Rubbish! Avoid please don't bother with this unproffesional and unhygienic place.

Worst possible service from this sham of a business, ordered online for delivery, it’s been 2 hours and the food still hasn’t been delivered. Tried calling and was told the order was being sent now, it’s been an hour and still not here

Ordered online for a home delivery was told 1hr to 1.5hrs so ok placed my order which took about an hour. On opening the chips were limp and looked a bit undercooked, the coating on the chicken was like wallpaper paste with lumps but the chicken was OK,the ribs were disgusting and got thrown in the bin never again.

Very quick service! Waited no more no than 10 minutes and the fillet burgers were clean and piping hot, the chips were the same. The man who served me was polite and friendly, I had my younger sister with me and she said her chicken burger was amazing and they put generous amounts of Mayo, will definitely go back. Also their covid policies are clear and were adhering to the rules for takeaway companies

Food turned up cold and the wings were pink in the middle and got told its the spices they put on them to make thw chicken pink, and ordered a strawberry cheesecake and it turned up frozen and got told it has to defrost cos there was a problem with the just eat app

Made an order on Uber Eats twice. They cancelled it twice. I called up and they said its because they only deliver within 5 miles. I then pointed out that its 3.8 miles to my property from theirs. He then said because they’re only delivering one meal its not worth their time despite the fact you also pay for delivery. Zero customer service ability and a poor reflection on Favourite Chicken. The owner should sack whoever they have working today. Now guess who will never eat there regardless of if I am ordering one or ten meals. Disgrace.

I hope the guy that ended the phone halfway through a order to say we’re closed sees this. You work in hoddeston favourite chicken .... do not fam me, have some manners.

Ordered food at 18:00 was no mention of long delivery time, called again to get update at 19:00 was told leaving shop now be 5mins, 1hour later food arrives. All food soggy/ sweated from the steam in carrier bag. Tried calling the shop numerous times no answer. Driver even called manager but mananger refused to speak. If your ordering in the area head over to tastys instead 👍

Ordered food over an hour ago And it didn’t show up on time. Phoned up Favourite Chicken to ask when it will be here. Member of staff who answered said “he’s near your house it will be there” very rudely and then proceeded to hang up on me. Not the first time this has happened either won’t be ordering there again. The least you could do is apologise. when the food did show up it was nearly cold as well. Not impressed.

I order regularly but recently the Chicken tastes like it’s been sitting there for hours! Thought it was a one off but it’s been the last 2-3 times and now I refuse to order from there. Sort it out!

Quality and taste is really poor. The bun was stale and the chicken was really dry, not enough lettuce to cover the base of bun. Wouldn’t recommend it

The chicken was bland, dry and oily. It smelt old and dusty like it had been sitting in that shop for decades. I honestly recommend you buy a ticket to the joker it’s cheaper and more filling then this food that I ended up feeding to my cats! I strongly recommend that Gordon Ramsey goes there for kitchen nightmares, but the chips was nice and good old reliable Pepsi to save the day, my nan didn’t even want the munch. Would definitely buy this again

Decent chicken shop reasonable prices good food.

We always order the same thing from here and get a delivery - it comes to around £15. There usually is never any issues and staff are great. However, we went to order tonight and I was told that that minimum order for delivery is £18. I explained that we order the same thing everytime and it has never been an issue before nor have I been asked to spend extra for deliver. In response to this I was told , “we are very busy tonight and it is a long way so it has to be £18”. So we decided to take our custom elsewhere. As a regular customer I am appalled at the service this evening. If Ware is too far to travel then you should not deliver to the Ware area rather than try to extort customers out of more money when it suits you.

Disgusting food was frezzing cold. Called the shop and they said they will pick food up the next day. Refund unacceptable will not be ordering from here again.

Absolute shocker chicken is rock solid Can not get orders right asked for a plain double ringer with only cheese got a burger with mayo no cheese or onion rings which is what it should consist off and paid the extra too. Would steer well clear of there, very shifty people work there would not surprise if they was running some sort of racket from there not nice people or food for that thought. shame on the favourite chicken group for giving you their franchise. Second time they have not delivered everything we have ordered. We rang up and they told us everything was there and clearly was not. They would not believe me so said they would check cctv I said ok. He came back telling me it was definitely put in so I said delivery driver must have taken it but he said that it was the manager who delivered and he would not have taken it. But still said they would deliver me another half hour later. We were regular customers who will never go back.

Got worse over the last year as the kfc has got better. The food is no where near as good as kfc is now.

Favourite Chicken has been like a father figure to me throughout the years, there for me when ever I needed it. No joke, i've spent Hundreds upon hundreds of £'s here and don't regret a single penny. Yeah it's not KFC BUT that's exactly it, it's fudging favourite chicken, you get what you pay for and this is the best money can buy. *dropthemic*
