A place to enjoy affordable beer and relax in the evening. We need more dance and vibes, especially on weekends. Would be nice if live games were shown there too.

Great value food, nothing sensational but the kind of pub food you’d go here for. 2 mains, 1soft drink and 2 0% beers came to around 20 quid.

Like how a college bar ought to be! The food is questionable but the vibes aren't! Enjoyed

Amazing bar with delicious food and conve

Great bar for before and after a Brighton game. The bar service can be very slow on those days as only one or two people behind the bar get totally overrun. Also there is no food in evening after the game when we went.

My go-to pub while at uni and for Brighton matches! ⚽️ Great pub to enjoy a pint before and after Brighton matches, always buzzing and great scenes prior to! Very student friendly with adequate prices for Brighton! Highly recommend!

Took 40mins to get a simple order of burger and fries. Food was good.

Recently visited the bar to have a meal. I was first served cold food because they messed with my order number. Secondly, after half an hour of waiting, my burger didn't have the sauce which I specifically asked to be added. I reported this to the Duty Manager but she said that the kitchen is closed now, so nothing can be done. Was not expecting this experience, really disappointed.

I expected more falmers to be here, I got in my ebony armour and prepared some potions but there were no falmers which to kill, mostly humans who stard at me like i am a madman

Rude staff, saying I don’t have a valid id to buy drinks when i show her my resident permit. She said i have to be a student here but the bar on google says welcome to “general public”

Excellent food, lovely pints. Seacider is quite good. Guinness pour is sub par (some are excellent) but depends of staff. Pool table is sloped and cues are somewhat dismal.

I never wait that long for a sandwich. (More than 40mn!!)

The food is delicious, the prices for both food and drinks are very good , and they also offer take out and delivery. Edit: I changed it from 5 stars to 2 stars as they are now getting very very slow with preparing the food. They took 45 minutes to prepare 1 burrito for me ! And when I asked them to check how much longer it will be they said 5 minutes and it took 15 minutes after the check. 45 minutes for 1 burrito is totally unacceptable. Atleast they should inform you that it will take long when you order.

Falmer Bar is a charming place in the campus of University of Sussex. The food is good, tasty and cheap, affordable for the students. I've been there once, but I'll definitely return with my colleagues.

This place was amazing during my first year, would always order takeaways due to lockdown and collect whenever I was in the mood for some good food. When I went for drinks before lockdown, they were surprisingly not over-priced, neither was the food. There was a few issues with order being wrong sometimes, that is to be expected with the popularity of it, but the food more then makes up for it and the fact that they would refund it straight away. I would recommend the chicken burger, the mozzarella sticks and the fries, the best items from what I had tried, not to say the other options were not good, just these options are ones that will not disappoint even picky eaters. Really missing this food now that i'm not on campus, but you can order through Deliveroo and other services I believe, just have to pay the delivery fee. Cannot wait to go to lectures on campus just so I can pick up food after classes!

I visit the bar with a friend who lives in the park and it's always fun and vibrant. So glad it's reopened after lockdown! It's in a lovely sunny spot and the students welcome us oldies! The food is really yummy too!

So far our only experience with them is a takeaway. However, we were more than pleased with the food. Fresh and full of flavour. Highly recommended to all looking for a proper and filling meal.

Great lunch but bad attitude, I always thought that the flamer bar was a friendly restaurant for anyone, but my friend was racist by the flamer bar staff while waiting for me to take the meal. She told me that when she was lying on the table with her arms, a flamer bar employee came over and slammed the table and shouted that she could not sleep, but my friend was not sleeping at the time. My friend was scared and cried. Then I saw that the staff was very normal talking to other guests, and the attitude was very good and did not hit the table. I am very disappointed with this matter, I will also tell my friends around me, I was racist in the flamer bar.

Cheap drinks, good tunes, great vibes

Great seating, cold drinks, mozzarella sticks are incredible! Great prices too, especially on drinks! Just wish there were more hot drinks for people who can't drink caffeine (that does not mean that there are no options)

General hostility of manager persuaded me to drink quicker before being chucked out.

Very great for hanging out with friends after a stressful day at uni. Gets pretty rowdy though, all in all would recommend it. P.S food's awesome too

Service was shocking. Bar manager was unpleasant and rude, and staff at the bar were curt and brusque. This was my alma mater, returning after a few years a visitor and thoroughly disappointed

Just had the so-called 'Chicken wrap' for 5 pounds but chicken was only in the name as 95 percent of the wrap was filled with cabbage. I'm going to avoid this bar when it comes to food from now on

Foods okay, but your staff needs a major attitude adjustment. They prefer to talk among themselves instead of taking orders. I literally stood there for a long time to wait for them to finish talking before they would look at me. They knew I was there. Ignored me. The heavier woman with blonde hair is especially unpleasant and loveessss to chatter with colleagues instead doing her job. Also took her 15 minutes to do a WRAP. Maybe if you stopped chatting you could get food out in a reasonable time. Subway does sandwiches in like under 5 minutes.

Poor food, katsu curry looked more like someone had taken a dump on a plate then an actually curry, bland, flavourless and watery. When asked for a refund. Met by rude staff who couldn’t quite understand that I was dissatisfied and said that this is how they always serviced the curry. Clearly the chef has never tried his own food or even eaten a proper Japanese curry. All they could only offer me was a free drink.

I love this place, to me it is wonderful because the prices are really love and the place is beautiful. I was here eating the duk wrap and it was delicious. 1 duk wrap with French fries cost 6'10£. This place have happy hour after 17:00h

Amazing value food and great vegan and veggie options

I come to room 76 some Fridays after a particularly stressful week for a slice of cake and coffee. Now that they've got their deal with honeycomb bakery I'm hooked. Usually I' only there for 10 minutes but they have board games and a few vintage arcade machines so it's a nice place to spend an evening or afternoon with friends.

Good to chill out after uni or after a society event. Quite expensive, but to be expected on campus.
