Despite having pre-orders in advance for a group of 25 people, service was totally chaotic with food arriving cold, without sides and several waiting so some of us finished before others had their food arrive. The starters and mains would've been delicious and if it was better coordinated and served hot. The ice cream served was something out of Iceland soft scoop and terrible along with side veg which appeared to be cooked frozen mixed veg. The beautiful side event room was lovely, such a shame the service let's it all down and expensive so you would expect it to be better. Hopefully more improved in future as I would like to come back.

Received a delayed delivery update of an additional 30-60mins just as I was expecting delivery. I called the restaurant directly and ended up collecting the food myself. Would like a refund on the delivery fee please.

Ordered biriani and chilli paneer. The panner was quite good! As I selected spicy and it had some spiciness. Then came the lamb Biriyani- ordered hot and commented in to say to make it extra hot. And couldn't taste even a hit of spicy or Chillies. I mean flavour was there but I like spicy foods but this was simply a Biriyani with just spices used for cooking and no Chillies whatsoever. So glad I didn't order lower spice.. or wouldn't be edible for me. Alot of potential but need to review the spicy levels abit 😅

To the chef @FalakRoyal, your Hyderabadi lamb biryani is spot on. Authentic Indian with great flavours. The spicy version was great, maybe you could include an extra spicy version as well

Terrible place. Let me and my husband in, qued up after Ascot like everyone else. I left to go the toilet and refused entry back as I had no wrist band. I didn't require a wrist band to enter..I explained my husband was inside and my battery was dying, I was refused entry. A bouncer squared up to me and escorted me off the premises. I said please could can I be escorted to my husband and I was denied. Horrible place, unprofessional and uncompassionate staff. Avoid at all costs. Left a female alone, unable to contact her husband. Nasty people.

Don’t waste your time or money. Suspect it’s a ready meal with most of the meat taken out. Chicken jalfrezi, watery, 6 tiny pieces of chicken. Chicken curry the same, 6 tiny pieces. 2 onion bajees, tiny. To be fair the preshwari was alright Mentioned about the curry to the waitresses a few times and they said they would Inform the manager, didn’t get a response.

Went there for my birthday meal for 6 of us, first time since it's changed management. Have to say what a difference ambience is lovely comfortable and spacious ( not on top of each like some restaurants) For the food we all shared starters and mains to get all the different flavours of what they are about again not disappointed, really great tasting food, Indian fusion I would say but Indian biased. Everything cooked with great skill, (no oily residue like in some indians) recommend the chilli Prawns, mixed grill platter, chaat and tandoori chicken to name a few great dishes. Go and try it won't disappoint. Met the owner and the chef, both very amazing guys and very humble.

Hi we’re booked in last week 5 people for food we’re Oder to chicken wings, grilled chicken and same Indian curry but we’re realised it’s not fresh food and service also very late like mor then 45 minutes we’re not booked this restaurant in future thanks

Service was terrible had to keep calling waiting staff and food was ok. Gobi65 was not Gobi65 it was Gobi pokoree, yogurt was off. Limited parking so had to park further down on road.

What a fabulous experience with my team for team lunch, has been struggling to find a good restaurant to eat at in the local area for years now. Falak Royal is the best Indian Fusion cuisine on the high street of Ascot, Falak Royal is our new favourite Indian restaurant. The food was beautifully spiced tailored accordingly and delicious, hot and perfectly presented. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful (A BIG BIG shout out to Alison and Namit)who made our experience extra extra special, thank you so much! . Perfect food and service, we will be back! 😁

Been here 5th time. Tried their new lunch menu today in a group of 14 people based on previous experiences ( food is good ). Disappointed this time really! 13 people got their food and one left out for 20 minutes with no food. I felt really bad for my colleague whose Caesar salad got delayed. Understand that it’s new menu but that’s where the planning comes forefront!! Don’t go in big group for lunch….

We came here by chance & we are so glad we did. This is real, good quality & authentic Indian food in Ascot High Street. The Hyderabadi style of food is excellent & we highly recommend it. Jacob's service was amazing, fast and very informative.

We celebrated our daughter's 16 birthday with my parents at Falak Royal yesterday evening. Excellent food and great personal service with a warm atmosphere. The owner and staff were engaged with the customers and very helpful. We really hope Ascot residents will support the restaurant and visit it so it will stay open. We deserve one great Indian restaurant in our area!

After a long wait of 40 mins for my takeaway I was very much looking forward to eating the Chicken Biryani I ordered from Falak Royal tonight (9th March 2024) but unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. Upon arriving home and opening the container, I discovered a long, thick hair nestled amongst the rice. Needless to say, this completely ruined my appetite. It's a basic expectation that people preparing food have their hair tied back and in a hat and that food preparation areas are kept clean and tidy. While mistakes can happen, it's disappointing that such a fundamental oversight spoiled my meal. Finding hair in food is not only unappetizing, but raises serious hygiene concerns. I shall not be returning.

Can not fault this restaurant, food is really amazing. There is a little wait and that is because it’s made fresh and I rather have good food and wait than have it the other way round. Service is truly the best service I’ve ever had, very personable and go out of their way to not only accommodate you but to ensure everything is ok throughout the evening. I’ve been here a few times now and becoming a local for me and sure to continue doing so.

I came here with my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day and had a really great experience. Upon arrival we were welcomed by a lovely hostess who took care of us. The food arrived hot and was absolutely delicious. The staff members made sure our food arrived on time and assisted us with any food queries we had. At the end of our meal, we were given a complimentary glass of Prosecco and orange spritz which made our night. It’s nice to see a new restaurant in Ascot that we can visit more often. Thanks to all the staff. Highly recommend.

This was the worst service I have ever experienced. The (what I assumed was a host) was dressed in a beautiful red dress and heals which was nice for Valentines- that’s where the compliments end. She should have stayed to welcome people and seat them and not been involved in the service. She took our order wrong (which we didn’t mind, mistakes happen) which we realised when the food arrived. They delivered the starters and main together. The wrong curry and the right rice came for me and the curry for my partner (without his rice). They returned with a menu to ask what I had ordered and then promised to correct it. They then left my partner without his rice and without a plate. I asked someone if we could have a plate and he went away I thought to get a plate but I think he told someone else to do it but it never came. I then had to go up to where the staff were congregated and ask for a plate again, they then passed me one from a cupboard and I took it back to the table myself. We were waiting another 15 minutes with no sign of the rest of the food, not even the naan bread we had ordered. We asked a couple of times if they could just bring the rest of my partners food and they just kept saying it was coming. We spoke to the manager who appeared to go to the kitchen to sort the situation but never returned with an update. A Prosecco or non alcoholic drink was being offered as part of a valentines meal. We were told about this after our 2nd drink instead of on arrival. We finally left without eating our meals as they didn’t come. We spoke to the manager and informed him we would only be paying for the drinks. No apology given or explanation. It’s a real shame as the decor is nice and the drinks came quickly but the staff really let the place down. My partner tasted the curry whilst we were waiting for his rice (which never came) and said it was good so they could be decent if they get some hospitality trained staff in. I really hope the owner takes note and I suggest close the doors of the restaurant side till they have the right staff in or they will get an irreversible bad name. Many other couples were complaining about the service, one other couple also left before planned due to the poor service. Would strongly advise against visit this place for anything more than a drink.

Eaten here a few times now. The interior is regal, Incredible food and wonderful service from the staff. We were made to feel welcome. Highly recommended.

Ordered take away that included a non veg thali (rice naan and 5 NON VEG side dishes) - arrived with lamb curry, chicken curry, mixed kebab (2pcs), DAL AND SALAD. When phoned to understand why we were given 3 instead of 5 nv dishes, the response was "Apologies we'll take your opinion onboard". AI would give a better, more empathetic response. Food was average tasting and very salty. That's the second time we've had a bad experience with Falak. £50 for very average food and poor service! Not a pleasant experience, a definite no!!

We booked for Christmas Eve at 4pm, booked through their website. A couple of days before I called to add elderly parents. Got there Christmas Eve and they were closed. Opening at 6pm! Where to go on Christmas Eve. I went back in person end Jan to discuss the mistake they made. Ramit said he would sort it and call me. No responses from him. They are f…. Useless and untrustworthy! Steer clear, bunch of liars!

Food took a while to arrive, compared to other Indian restaurants but was great tasting and plentiful. On the other hand, it was probably the most expensive curry I have ever bought at £13 for a chicken madras alone. That said, I would expect to be back as the experience was pleasant and drinks were much cheaper than normal!

Seriously dissapointed. Made undrinkable cocktails and tried to charge us for them without notifying us they would be on the bill. They did this by doubling up the cocktail we ordered after the ones we sent back hoping we wouldn’t notice it on the bill. Could be a good thing but the owner does not know what a good cocktail or customer service is

So very sorry it was food that we couldn’t eat 🙄 it is normal to order a vegetable rice, and it not have chilis. But everything was with chili 🌶️ korma curry with chili 🌶️ a bhuna with chili 🌶️. We had paid and left. Sorry but it was not edible. A menu should state that a plate is full of Chili’s and say it’s potentially a little hot to eat. There was a sign of a chili on some items, but the rice no. It spoilt the whole dinner. Not edible 🤔🤫 unless you like hot and spicy and lots of chilies 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️

I can't remember the last time, I had such nice Indian food. There's however room for service and staff training improvement.

The best restaurant I’ve ever been! The food is amazing, very fresh and so tasty. The restaurant is so beautiful and have amazing, cozy atmosphere. First time coming here.. took a while to get our drinks order.. 1 x beer and 1 x aperol spritz .. given appletiser instead! Ordered starters of butterfly prawns and this arrived.. shocking.. nowhere on menu states with chips and with ketchup.. asked for sweet chilli sauce and told sorry we don’t have it?? I instead asked for more chilli sauce and never arrived … definitely not butterfly prawns cooked in magical species.. do u not mean spices ?? These were just normal prawns from Tesco without a doubt and definitely no magical spices.. very disappointing. When questioning staff, they had no idea and response being that is what is in menu.. another suggestion is to wipe down ur menus as were very dirty and sticky . Unfortunately will not be recommending

Hello Falak Royal team, we ordered food last night and very disappointed with our order. Veg Manchurian was not having gravy and it was small onion pakoda basically. Manchurian is not cooked in this way. Butter paneer was very sweet. Not a great experience.

Nothing to fault about Falak Royal! I have been to many lounges and this one by far has the best food, shisha, drinks and service. We always feel so welcomed when we go. I would definitely recommend to everyone!

First time visit and absolutely impressive. Beautiful decor and really warm welcome by host 'Rimpy'. Excellent customer service. We went during the week lunch time and lunch menu had multiple deals with good prices. We tried chicken 365, butter chicken and chicken biryani which was full of flavours and pretty close to traditional Pakistani Sindhi biryani. Fries are also a must try. Looking forward for another visit and strongly recommend this place, well done team Falak, keep the hard work up.

Went in for some food after the races. Told the bouncer there was 7 of us, so one of the waitresses set up a table for 7. I didn’t realise more of the group were staying for food so turns out there was closer to 10 of us wanting food. Bouncer told me ‘I was taking the p**s’. Apologies for bringing more paying customers to the empty restaurant? Then we were given a set menu for £37 for 2 courses. Complete rip off with yet another minimum wage member of staff with a little authority thinking they can speak and act how they wish. Avoid.

Food good, there appears a clear passion for the cuisine. Lamb chops most memorable, as was lamb byriani. Table service was good overall. The owner made sure our daughter could connect to the Wi-Fi. Our only disappointment and advice to customers would be to please pay attention to your bill however as we had to work with the owner to manage incorrect charges for drinks and also a clear misunderstanding on the type of drinks ordered. Bar service was as stated slow and would be concerning when faced with a large group. It is difficult to hear the bar staff and may be worth turning the music down. There does however appear to be several staff so hopefully experience and training will resolve the time taken for drinks. The venue appears to operate a doubles spirits policy, which was not communicated or clear when we ordered initially at the bar. This lack of communication and clarity is where this issue arose. To be very clear at no point where double measure drinks asked for by me or by the bartender so the bar service went wrong from the beginning. It is therefore extremely disappointing to hear the owner would suggest that I asked for double measure drinks deliberately initially or had had this house policy explained to me by the bar staff. It suggests the owner has not fully owned the error in this case. A double measure is not something I would ever ask for so I had nothing to deny requesting. This is a very upsetting statement by the owner. If as a business you have a policy of serving house doubles which is what the owner explained was their standard practice when we queried, make it clear to the customer, don’t make it sound in retrospect like the customer asked for that measure or knew what they were getting served, as in this case the customer was completely unaware what had happened until presented with the bill. The restaurant temperature was also cold, some guests kept coats on so would suggest a review of heating/heat retention. Owner reconciled our bill before departure so all dues ordered were settled and we shook hands before leaving. We therefore paid for what we ordered, in full, and with service charge. We even offered to pay for 3 doubles as a gesture of goodwill but this was not accepted. We accepted the 12.5% service added to the bill automatically without dispute as the table service had aimed to be helpful. The door man was also helpful to my Mother. So overall we would return but with open eyes on the house practices on bar service measures. I appreciate the owner would place trust in his staff perhaps versus some customers they may encounter. In this case this placement of faith in the bar staff is a big mistake in judgment on the owners part. Wishing the team at Falak Royal the very best for future service.

Will definitely coming back with friends and family, first I thought this is a pub not safe for family but I was surprised how they turned the place around it is a safe family place qherr I could fake my kids and enjoy a decent Sunday lunch worth the value of money

Lovely atmosphere and great staff. Had a nice meal with friends before heading to their hidden gem of a shisha lounge that was just around the back slightly detached from the restaurant. Very beautiful. My only complaint is that the lounge had a better and more lively selection of music but that opinion may just be due to my taste 😂😂

Such a shame as was really looking forward to a meal here when I saw it open but the staff although very polite were sadly completely new to service and it took 20 minutes to get a menu and even longer to get a drink. Food arrived in bits with missing items so by the time we had finished eating (after 70 minutes for a starter which I almost wouldn’t believe had I not sat there waiting) others in the party finally got theirs. Had we not been so hungry the whole experience would have been funny - but we really wanted to eat. I hope they get some good staff and turn this place around or it will be closing quite soon.

Would really like to give a better review to this restaurant but our experience was not great. We went in December and the restaurant was very cold, service was poor and food was average at best in our opinion. Loud club style Indian music was annoying as came with wife and a child. Kind of a lost identity of a place - I could not make it out TBH.

We booked a table here after racing which wasn't very welcoming (we were advised there was a minimum spend of £20 per head excl. drink because we were a large booking - 14 - the restaurant was empty for a good hour after we arrived). The food was nice, very strong flavours but so many dishes were missed that half the table was finished as others started their meals. I wasn't impressed by the head waiter advising us forgotten ones that 'the chef is making your food especially for you'... we ordered the food, it's their job to provide it, not make us feel that we were putting them out by making it especially for us!! And £12 for a glass of prosecco?? Overall, not really impressed

Booked through Opentable who took a £60 holding fee for 2 people, what I didn't realise is they actually took the money before I had even arrived, the restaurant were then supposed to take it off the final bill which they didn't. 1 week on after calling the restaurant nearly 10 times I still haven't had the £60 refunded. AVOID!

Lovely food, I've ordered from here several times. I ordered something that wasn't available but they made it up beyond what I would expect so very happy.

These reviews are all fake, the place is never open, look at the only real review from the lady who visited the old bar one, when it was still bar one but trying to be Falak Royal,. if you go on deliveroo, there are no reviews and it is so expensive. My advice to management is stop telling your mates and family to write fake reviews, re-lanch when the place has been refurbished, Stop posting pictures of what your restaurant is going to look like in the future as it is misleading. Also don't be so greedy with your prices, Ascot Spices is just down the road and the food and service is amazing. Know your competition.

Absolutely fantastic! The food is authentic Indian with proper spice levels. I can’t rate this place highly enough. One of the best Indian food restaurants in the area. Highly recommended. Loved the aloo paratha made fresh and the chicken manchurian.

Beware of this restaurant. You can’t get your money back when they can’t deliver on time! You have no choice but to wait for the food to eventually arrive.

Everything about Falak Royal is exceptional, from the food to the lovely staff (Alison, the bartender, Raj, the chef and Saloni, the assistant cook). We had a conversation about the history of the place and about this amazing food. This was our second time coming here specifically for the Aloo Tikki Chat, with in-house sauces and ingredients! Would 100% recommend this place!

Excellent place, the service is exceptional. Felt welcomed at this place, even it is outside dinner time, around 5 pm.

We were looking forward to trying the new restaurant as the website looked amazing. We had booked a table for 4 of us and upon getting to the restaurant we found The old bar one.! interior which is out dated, worn out and scruffy. To which the menu had change from the website and we thought very expensive for not having the luxury of what we thought the place was going to provide. In fact very misleading. To top it all the bar person was telling a member of staff what to do and running her down in front of its us. Not very professional. Based on the we will not return.
