FAB thai street food in Islington

Went for a quick lunch yesterday. Ordered pad thai and spring rolls. Small shop but big flavours. FAB thai street food. You guys rock and the service was so good. Front of the restaurant was smiling and inviting. When I said the food was good, you were humble enough to pass on the compliments to the chef. The best thing i liked here was hot hot food served. I spent £40 yesterday on dinner on 1947 restaurant and I spent £14 for lunch in your place. I am a happy camper that i selected your restaurant. Will definitely return. Keep up the good work and keep up the smiling faces in the front of the restaurant.

Tried their prawn pad thai. It's pretty authentic and at 9.50 pounds it's not unreasonable given generally higher inner London prices. The noodle, egg and chicken were well cooked although they could have done with just a little more 'wok he'. The portion was pretty generous and filled me up easily. Nice to have it on the spot - they have limited seating. The one slight tinge of disappointment was that the prawns were very lacking in taste - not sure if that is the case all the time. Staff are very friendly and if I'm in the vicinity again I'd probably try their duck krapow. Bit of a shame that they don't offer any traditional Thai desserts.

Me apasiona mucho la comida tailandesa. He viajado mucho en Tailandia, tengo amigos tailandeses y cocino comida tailandesa casi exclusivamente en casa, así que siento que sé cómo debería saber un buen tailandés y esto no lo es. Ordené krapow. Hago esto en casa con regularidad, casi todas las semanas, porque es uno de mis favoritos. Se supone que es un salteado picante / garlicky de carne picada o picada (normalmente cerdo o pollo) y se revuelve con abundante albahaca tailandesa a la que da nombre el plato. Es firey y rico en salsa de soja, ostras y pescado. Es una maravillosa sinfonía de calor y sabor. Esto no fue Lo que me sirvieron fue una carne de res picada estofada sobre arroz. Agregué un montón de chile pero todavía no estaba picante. Fue barato, se lo daré. Como simplemente comida estaba bien. Como la comida tailandesa es un insulto. El servicio fue amable y rápido. El lugar se veía limpio. Hay un par de asientos aquí, pero en su mayoría está orientado a llevar. Es una pena que esto parezca atenuado para los gustos occidentales y es menos de lo que podría ser usando ingredientes baratos.

Small place catering to office lunch crowd. No place to stand and look at the menu and one rushed to choose quickly. Had beef with noodles. Food was fine and one bowl was enough to share and be full

just been here for as new to the area, had Beef Krapow with rice, got say it was very bland apart from the additional soy & chillies i added myself from the counter before leaving, and at £7 a go i would expect steak beef not minced beef, overpriced by far for food this basic and bland, they must be pi$$ing themselves laughing at the round eyes when going to the bank!

FAB Thai street food shop is on a corner street in Shoreditch/Old street area, serving Thai dishes. The menu has chicken and pork dishes, not a lot of choice though on the menu. The vegetarian options are a put down, just two on the list I’m afraid. The premises is tidy and looks like the management are keen on maintenance. In fact, you can peek a look inside the kitchen too, it’s kinda semi-open. The service is quick and the staff are very friendly

Overpriced, very rushed service Curry I had was the tofu red and wasn’t very nice. Just a couple of big lumps of carrot for veg. Wouldn’t go back.

Good thai food at a decent price. Size is decent as well. I would avise the chicken green curry as a must.

Reasonable price and tasty dishes (stir fry and curries) over rice or noodles. Between £7-8 is not bad. Decent serve. Not as authentic Thai as I would love but it’s good by London standard for S-East Asia food.

I was very happy with my large bowl of chicken curry with noodles (or rice as I’ve had both). £6.95 for a large bowl; very tasty and as spicy as you want with free extra fresh chilli. Very friendly staff. A small building, so not really aimed at staying there to eat, but the is a stand up bench down one wall to use. 6 meals gets you a free one next time, using their consumer card.

Enjoyed a takeaway Thai lunch here with a work friend. The service is very efficient, almost clinical. The food is well priced and very flavoursome. Will be back for sure! Definitely recommended

I went there with a friend. The Chicken soup was so delicious as well as Tom Yum Prawn soup!!. We will definitely go back there again for Pad-thai!

Popped in for a takeaway lunch - service quick, food hot and great quality. Usually with these types of takeaway you get a container of 90% rice, but this was a generous portion of chicken curry without the usual mountain of rice
