wanted to try this place for a while and was really happy with it. will be back again to try more dishes out

Always my favourite Indian takeaway I just love this place, everything is delicious every time, never cold, always get the order right and call if there is an item that is unavailable to offer a an alternative. They're great.

lied to us that driver had left when we rang after an hour and 20 mins. continued to wait and food arrived hour and 55 mins after ordering. terrible service, wouldn't answer phone in some instances. will never order again.

Decent curry with very fair prices. Naan was great, curry was good but the samosas were a bit of a let down and very greasy but nonetheless a solid curry. Shame about the 15 minute delay on delivery but very attentive and shows it's popular.

Delicious, food came early! However we did get the wrong naan from what we ordered.

The food was really good - I think they suffer from being popular, given how good it was - and hence it ended up arriving 35 minutes after the original estimated delivery time. I’d use them again - because what arrived was lovely - but I’d allow time for delay at busy times.

I ordered a WHOLE tandoori chicken and I get two boxes each contains "half" a chicken, or what it was supposed to. Each box (half) contains a leg and breast. The taste was ok. And what's the deal with the concept of salad in a plastic bag?

Fantastic quality food with a depth of flavour and freshness I can't fault. I've eaten curries in restaurants. worldwide and this was up there with the best. The Rotis were fresh and tasty and Naans were light and fluffy. Plus, delivery guy was really polite and friendly. Will definitely order again. A new fan - thank you!

The food was really really nice! The spinach paneer was divine as was the lamb korma and the tikka paneer ! Yummy! Only thing that let it down was the lack of chutneys with poppadoms. We ordered 4 poppadoms and only got one tiny pot of salad and one tiny mint yogurt... where's the mango sauce? Anyhoo, aside from that would definitely recommend

I have been with this restaurant for about 9 yrs and have never had any issues regarding quality of food, taste or service- even when I moved 3 miles out of original place they still made the effort to deliver to me which I thought was really lovely. They were very accomadating to my needs and always delivered in terms of taste- any requests made were always adhered too. However this recent year I have bumped into a few issues with certain dishes due to change of chef. My regualr dishes were ruined by too much spice and not enough flavour to which I've mentioned,staff were either rude about my complaints or they were dismissed as if Id said nothing. Also a number of times ive gone to order and the restaurant has been closed without warning which has forced me to order elsewhere. I love the food here especially the chicken dansak, lamb jalfrezi, sag baji but feel this restaurant has slipped in terms of quality of service - staff are not so fulfilling anymore since the change over and reliable customers like myself are left feeling a little lost in terms of staff, client relationship. The delivery guy is however amazing! So polite and makes every effort on behalf of the restaurant itself. If only he would take orders and recite customers requests each time then that way no mis communication would be made and customers would feel listened too. I have had to find another indian due to these issues but still I pray this restaurant will get get back their excellent food standards and service. I am not yet willing to give up just yet as I have faith this is just a blip every buissness goes through. When on form they cannot be beaten on deliverance in every aspect hence being with them for 9yrs. I will stick with them and keep trying, but until then I will give this restaurant a 4 out of 5 due to the above problem. Get your mojo back Exotic of india- you can do it!

Delivery: Was charged £2.50 for delivery for it to be initially delayed 10 min (which is always expected from anything on Just Eat) but then a further 10 minute delay on top of that when I'm paying for delivery is awful service. Service: When I phoned up explaining that my food was double delayed I was just told a generic "it will be 15 minutes", again, I was paying for late delivery and did not even refund the cost Food: Excellent portion size (I was stuffed and with enough for the next day) but was student-standard bland curry even though I had ordered one of the chef specials that was supposed to have a good kick of coconut and almond to it Honestly as a student this is an ok takeaway but only with the 25% discount (and be careful of the extra £2.50 for delivery)

Lamb tikka was a bit fatty but otherwise nice. Vindaloo was good sauce could have been better

Walked past the shop during the day and had to try it,the smell was incredible! The food definitely lived up to it; it was so tasty and the flavours were perfect, shame I couldn't finish it off but my mates didn't mind :)

Tasty and a bit different from a lot of the generic Indian slop merchants knocking around, looking forward to exploring some more of the menu.

My delivery was slightly late to arrive and when it arrived one of my items were missing. I ordered late in the evening so was unable to contact you or the restaurant but was very disappointed with the service.

We like going there for the food. They always seem a bit hectic when we come to pick up with little banter or attention (compared to other pick up take aways) ...but perhaps we're only in need of good food anyway. And we love the food so maybe the lack of anything else is because they're too busy cooking, packing etc... and that's fine.

This place is the best curry house the spice strength is just perfect for me and also large portion will order next time for sure

Food was nice again but like I've said previously the biriyani tastes completely every time I order it. Today it was made with fried garlic but it actually tasted really good. Fingers crossed I keep enjoying the different styles of cooking & flavours. Also I usually get the same delivery guy & he's a very polite young man.

1st and last time. Had to hunt for the chicken in my chicken curry! Prawn curry had just just much onion and very very runny. Waited over an hour and 15 for a meal that just lacked sustenance.

Spent more time draining the oil off the food than eating. Disappointed that there was only one 'small' tub of rice as that was the only thing which tasted decent. Surprised by the overall four star rating to be honest, seems a bit fishy to me. Anyway, bottom line is, learned my lesson won't be buying from here again.

Best Indian I've had in a long time!

Food tasted very good, only thing was it was slightly oily. I was extremely disappointed in the time taken to deliver, we waited for almost 2 hours for food to arrive. Ordered at 11:30 and arrived at 1:15am. Delivery driver apologised. However, we revieved no call from the resturant and they would not pick up the phone to say it would be late. My Family members fell asleep without food whilst waiting.

As a lover of Indian food, I'm an old friend of Exotic.. came late, on Thursday night and got a friendly welcome. The menu has all the classic Tandoori cuisine as well as Chef's Specialties. My South Indian Garlic Chicken was amazing! Served sizzling hot with chunky mushroom rice, fluffy Pashwari Nan and ice cold Cobra Beer. For real curry lovers, The Exotic is the place!

Delicious curry best dhansak I've had in a while

Second visit: just so first time wasn't a fluke of good food. Ordered a chicken tikka biryani again and again, was the most tastiest biryani I've ever had, 15 years eating biryanis I've become somewhat of an expert therefore can say it was delicious to that level.... Family ran restaurant, spoke to a young gentleman (Abs) and he was telling me the family having been in business for 12 years but the restaurant was established over 25 years, it's somewhere, where the traditional Indian restaurant feeling has remained, nothing too fancy just tasty Indian food,. I came with business associates and one had ordered a lamb shank, had a little taste and the spices were on point, very good portions of everything too, would recommend as a MUST taste curry house,. Will go back soon but always being on the move makes it difficult, saying that I'm going to make sure I have that biryani again. Keep it up chef👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

The food wasn't good not enough meat n the taste is way off. They also forgot some of my order and didn't want to refund me the money. They simply told me the next time u order lets us know. I won't ever order from here again 1st n last time

Have previously loved the food from here but this time it just wasn't up to the same high standard. The butter chicken had far too much coconut and the chicken was extremely overcooked and dry. Samosas weren't great either. Do hope this was just a one-off as the food from here used to be excellent.

Bhindi Bhaji had hardly any okra. The food was poor, & small portions.

I've eaten in the restaurant before and it's always been good - so glad Exotic of India are now on Just Eat. This meal did not disappoint - lamb dhansak was delicious, tender and a good heat. Brinjal bhaji and the pumpkin bhaji were very well spiced, full of flavour, and the aubergine in particular was perfectly cooked. Very well priced, and to top it off, it came earlier than expected. Top stuff.

The most disgusting Indian food I have ever ordered in my life. The food was horribly cooked and the look of it was extremely unappetising. It was a complete waste of money!

1st time order - really impressed. Great aftertaste, good portion size, brilliant value and a friendly driver who arrived on time.

Chips were greasy, curry tasted slightly off, rice had no taste.
