Thyme at Premier Inn in Islington

Nos quedamos a pasar la noche en el Premier Inn y, como hacía una noche muy fría y ventosa, decidimos comer en el restaurante Thyme.

He comido en muchos restaurantes Premier Inn tomillo y lamentablemente este no es el mejor en mi experiencia. Primero las cosas buenas, el personal era muy acogedor, amable y servicial. Además, el restaurante está en un lugar muy conveniente justo en el hotel y en la calle principal de Euston. La comida (plato abadejo y patatas fritas) llegó en un par de minutos de ordenar, sugiriendo que de hecho el pescado y patatas fritas estaban allí sentados esperando a ser puesto en un plato. Las fichas de aspecto y sabor como si hubieran sido alrededor de un rato y el pescado estaba bastante seco. Estoy seguro de que hay una mejor relación calidad-precio de los restaurantes en las inmediaciones. Me gustó el hotel, pero me lo pensaría dos veces acerca de comer en el futuro.

In dem erst vor wenigen Monaten umgebauten Restaurant lässt sich der Tag bei einem leckeren Frühstück gut bedienen. Man kann zwischen Continental und Full Breakfast (mit warmen Gerichten) wählen. Dazu gibt es Costa Kaffee soviel man will.

Stayed at the Premier Inn with the dining plan. Terrible quality food at dinner, just awful! Friendly staff and the breakfast buffet wasn't bad at all, but the whole place is absolutely let down by the dinners there. Yuk.

Si se aloja en el Premier Inn, este restaurante es un lugar decente para conseguir una comida. Si estás en la habitación sólo se hará una comida de 2 platos, bebida y a la mañana siguiente por £24. 99. Un precio difícil de superar en esta parte de la ciudad.

Tuvimos una cena temprano aquí ayer después de un día en Londres, ya que estaba cerca de la estación de metro, el personal era muy amable y el restaurante era agradable y limpio en el interior con una decoración elegante para una cadena de hoteles económicos. Las comidas eran lo suficientemente probado ambas bien bonito, pero un poco frío a la llegada. Uno de los inconvenientes era la comida que había en el menú que pedí (carne y budín de carne désuet) resultó un Run of the Mill tarta pastelería bistec no lo que era désuet un poco engañoso. Decía que estaba bien de precio dos comidas con bebidas bajo 28 libras, así que no está mal para una parada

The food was nice and reasonably priced. The garlic flatbread starter was a full sized garlic pizza! Children's meals were good and lots of choice. Daz the waiter was so friendly and good with the children, he made our evening. Thanks Daz!

La comida estaba bien, un poco caro para el tamaño de la porción, ya que soy un chef que he visto este tipo de comida rápida cocinar antes, y no me gusta que fue gusto menos. Cada miembro del personal era amable, sonriente. El personal aquí hacen de este lugar.

A pleasant and quite restaurant/bar, considering its location the food and drink is at a reasonable price and the staff were polite/friendly. The food wasn't amazing but for the price perfectly acceptable and it's open from 7:30 till 12am

ho scelto questo hotel dopo un'estenuante ricerca durata settimane, posso ora dire che mai scelta è stata così azzeccata, il posto dove si trova è proprio alle spalle della stazione di King Cross S. pancras, l'hotel è pulitissimo con le camere veramente comode, un discorso a parte merita il letto matrimoniale, veramente stupefacente, non ho mai dormito così bene in un hotel. Colazione ottima ed abbondante continentale, non mancava e il caffè espresso era vero caffè! Personale gentile e cordiale, ci torneremo sicuramente!

I stayed one night at the Premier Inn at Kings Cross and used Thyme for its convenience. The food was very tasty and the staff were very pleasant but the speed of service was not very good - I waited an hour for my meal snd was told several times during my wait that it was "on its way" - this would be understandable if it were packed but it was practically empty - still the meal was very good.

We were staying in the Premier Inn for four nights, so we gave a few visits to Thyme.The full buffet breakfast was excellent. It covered warm dishes (bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs/sunny side up, grilled tomatoes, butter fried mushroom), cold dishes (breakfast cereals, yogurt, fruits), different types of bread, pastry and muffins. Drinks included coffee, tea and fruit juices. All dishes were freshly made and refilled quite promptly. We had dinner on Friday night and the restaurant was quite busy. We ordered prawn cocktails, fried chicken wings and ribs for appetizers, a child beef burger, a baked salmon and a steak for the mains. The appetizers were not okay. But both the burger and the salmon were very dry and over-cooked. The steak was a bit chewy. The side salad was dull and dry. So we only had one night dinner here.Overall, the service was good, family friendly and breakfast was good. But not recommend it for dinner.

when staying at the Premier Hotel Kings Cross... Service was pleasant and efficient. Breakfast was fairly typical of a British breakfast plus normal continental stuff. Plenty to choose from. Nothing special but you shouldn't go away hungry.

We'd travelled for most of the day and were shattered. On top of that the football was on tv. Since, in all honesty we could not be bothered to leave the hotel, we tried Thyme. It was fineMy only gripe is that it took an age to place an order and , later, to pay. Staff kept wanting to know if everything was alright and to wish us to have a nice day. I never like that!Food and drink were fine.

For £24.99 per person, you get a main, a side or dessert and a drink. An extra £2 gets you a third course. This also includes a full Premier Inn breakfast the next morning.This really is excellent value for money, especially for central London.Menu offers plenty of choice - steaks, burgers, pizza and many other items. Portion sizes are generous and food is tasty. Highly recommend the tempura prawns as a starter - delicious!Staff are friendly, attentive and efficient - especially Klaudia, very impressed with her service and professionalism, always witha smile!Will buy this meal deal again when staying in Premier Inn without hesitation!

There is limited choice, the food is of average quality and expensive for what you get. Service is always decent but I wouldn't choose to eat here if it wasn't convenient for me ( we were staying in the Premier Inn)

I used this restaurant whilst staying at the Premier Inn Kings Cross.I had booked the Meal Deal which was offered whilst I was booking my Premier Inn stay and was pleased that I made this choice.My two night stay meant that I ate in this restaurant twice for breakfast and also twice for dinner.The breakfast selection was very good (everything from cereal to doughnuts to cooked items). The dinner selection was equally good although a few items were not available. This didnt prove to be a problem as the choice was very good.

Good menu for both breakfast and dinner. Plenty of choice. However on occasion we were told some things were off the menu for some reason of other which was a little disappointing.

The wait to get a table is ridiculously long, it appears to be very disorganised.Why do staff have to ask 4 or 5 times if I want breakfast when I'm there for dinner? Its irritating bad happened on several nights.Some of the staff are excellent, some less so, I think there is a serious language barrier.Food selection was ok. Food was ok. Nothing brilliant or overly memorable.

Only had a couple of drinks here at the end of the day. Prices reasonable and the barman friendly. Clean and comfortable.

We only had dessert at the Thyme, but it was good! Small servings though, so it made for an expensive ice cream sundae!

Stayed at the Premier Inn so this was an obvious choice for dinner. Service was initially a little slow but food did arrive quickly. We both had a meal deal - £24.99 for 2 course dinner, drink and cooked breakfast the next day. Between us we had Garlic mushroom & Duck parcel starters which were lovely, for mains we had salmon steak and sirloin steak which were really tasty. We both had Rose wine (glass), no pudding. For £25, which included breakfast (normally £9) you can't fault it. Would eat here again.

The welcome from the staff was warm and friendly, The service provided by staff was excellent, and at a pace that suits you, all staff were friendly and helpful. There is a good selection of meals, well presented, and were very tasty. The restaurant also offers a good choice of wines and other beverages. The bar area was clean and tidy and has a happy hour , so you can have a drink at the bar or at your table @ 2 for the price of 1 up to about 20:00. All in all an excellent experience. Well done.

The restaurant I use prior to return evening rail train home. On three previous occasions I have dined here and the meals are as good as I've tasted at some so-called 'top restaurants'. Plentiful, well-prepared and value for money. The ambience is pleasant with courteous, friendly bar, waiters and hotel reception staff. keep up the good work.

Had breakfast in this Restaurant and it was lovely and the Staff were very helpful! We stayed in the hotel so it was excellent for food and drink.

The hot smoke salmon starter was very generous. To be fair the rump steak was a little tough, but cooked the way i asked for it, and the tomato and mushroom on the side were perfect.

We decided to have dinner here while staying at the Premier Inn. What a great decision to dine here! The service was outstanding from start to finish and all of the staff went out of their way to look after us. The burger was out of this world;the pudding to die for! I could not recommend this place more and we hope to return here again when we are next in London. Thank you for making our evening!

Stayed in Premier Inn attached so had our meals here. I ordered the sirloin steak medium to well and my husband had a mixed grill. My steak was accompanied with french beans, mushrooms, fries and a grilled tomato. It was cooked to perfection and the rest was piping hot and lovely. My husband thoroughly enjoyed all of his mixed grill and he said all was cooked great too. We had room for pudding so I had the Eton mixed berry mess and my husband and bread and butter pudding with custard. My desert was huge so not enough room to finish it all but it was delightful and my husband demolished all of his. As we had this in a meal deal it also came with a free drink and an all you can eat breakfast which was equally as good as the night before all this for just £24.99 each an absolute bargain for London. We would willingly of paid this for the amazing evening meal well done Thyme .

Lovely staff,food was delicious and really good value for money in the centre of London. Nice outside seating down a side street, you don't feel like your even in London.

Didn't even get to taste the food. Leaving hungry as the service could not be worse. Not even a drink order taken 20 minutes after arriving. Apologies not offered.

I will admit they have some good service. They have Christmas spacial ofer! you can get your dinner plus breakfast for 25 pounds. The evening meal is terrible. The steak is overcooked, no matter what level you choose how you want the steak be cooked. And do not order their steak, taste not good. Their breast fast is buff, the sausage is good, you can have as many you want. ^ ^

Staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were basic but nice and clean. If you are looking for a no frills room that is clean I would definitely recommend.

I cannot believe the service in this hotel. Visiting here for business this weekend and it is honestly the worst premier inn I have honestly stayed in!!! Booked a table for 9 people for dinner for 7.30 the day before we stayed. You'd think they'd be able to at least serve our dinners within a decent time. 2 hours later 3 mains delivered, 1 wrong and sending people to KFC round the corner to bring us dinner because we're all starving. Safe to say we are next in Derby I will not be staying here. Absolutely disgusting service and nobody seems to care!!

Really good bar especially if you manage the happy 2 hours 6pm till 8pm weekday evenings. Just what's needed after a day's work pleasant attentive staff. Top marks (food overpriced!)

We had two meals at Thyme, one good, one not so good. The not so good was a breakfast associated with the Premier Inn Kings Cross. The other was a dinner the night before. We weren't really that hungry, but wanted a little something. So we shared the sampler platter of apps. What a good choice! The center piece was warm melted camembert cheese with warm bread sticks, tempura prawns, chicken wings, fried mushroom caps and duck parcels. Each was tastier than the last. It was a perfect ending to a long week of traveling.

Busy Tue nite, had to wait for a table about 1/2h, didn't think to book it on arrival, wasn't a problem though. The waiting staff, especially Thomas very friendly and attentive. The food arrived quickly, we had chicken+ribs, which were very nice actually, I'm often a bit vary of the quality of food in big hotels. Tthe only thing which was a bit minus, the drink service was lacking a bit behind.

We ate breakfast here after a nights stay and before heading to visit Legoland. Found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Was asked if we wanted and poached or boiled eggs with our breakfast, found this to be a nice touch as normally only have what is on offer at the breakfast buffet area. Eggs were gorgeous and just how I like them! The kids had cereal and stocked up on muffins! Lovely and clean food areas and food was good!

Staff were very friendly. Room spacious and comfortable. Great location and good value for money. Happy hour was a pleasant surprise.The only criticism was the restaurant appeared to be understaffed and therefore the service was a little slow. One in our party had fish and chips and the accompanying bread was stale, though it was replaced promptly. Breakfast was good.

The rooms we got were on a higher floor, so very quiet. I love this place, it is not my first visit, the staff are nice and helpful always. I personally like that the hotel is very clean and near everything in Kings Cross

I was on a business trip and barely had time for breakfast. But the attendant Lisandra was refreshingly attentive and constantly smiling at all customers walking by. She brought a sense of relaxation in my otherwise busy schedule. I would recommend travelers to London Heathrow area to visit the Thyme Restaurant at the Premier Inn (Bath Road)

We dined here after arriving from Australia and deciding we would have a quick dinner before retiring. Unfortunately, the extremely slow service meant that it wasn't a particularly quick dinner! It took ages for a menu to be offered and even more time for our order to be taken. We decided on the meal deal which meant we could have breakfast the next morning. Overall, the meal was adequate but not great. I had a dish which included BBQ pork spareribs but I was suprised at how bland they tasted. Breakfast the next morning was much better but the fact that we chose not to dine here for the rest of our stay probably says it all....

Waited an age to get served, and to bring us the correct menus, as we needed a child.menu. Drinks expensive, food selling out at a rapid rate even though it wasn't 7.30 in the evening. Once our orde was finally taken, it took over 40 mins to get our food. And sadly it wasn't worth the wait, the child were like they had been cooked several times as they were burnt, hard like cardboard, and cold at the same time. My daughters hunters chicken, looked so un appetising, the melted cheese looked like it was almost burnt, it was almost brown in colour. The chicken wasn't cooked all the way through. My other half had the American hotdog, which was actually just a sausage in a roll. Others that came in after us got served quicker and there meals looked far more appealing than ours. No one asked if we enjoyed our meal, I wonder why!!!. There were 2 people working in the restaurant, but it would appear that one one of them was allowed to take food orders. We could see food sitting on the servers waiting to be given to diners. There was a manager he served one customer and then disappeared. The other waitress only seemed allowed to serve the drinks, other diners, fed up of waiting for assistance, formed a small queue to get served more drinks. This unpleasant experience fist us £50 for 4 people. When my partner went to pay, the manager asked if everything had been okay, he said No. But wasn't asked why not. We should have gone to the McDonald's next door, it would t have cost half what we paid and would have Beth served a lot quicker.

Only had an appetizer sharing plate that was OK but not exceptional. Other people's meals looked good. Service was OK but noted Japanese people having a real problem ordering from a non-English server.

An adequate dining option with the bonus - if staying at the Premier Inn - of not having to leave the premises. Standard menu as at all Thyme branches, executed as it should be, good reliable freezer-based dining that ticks those particular boxes.

Food okay, and you could have as much you wanted.But the color of the Thyme restaurant carpets, furniture and walls are very out of time, Green, yellowish.Friendly staff.

Shockingly good food at the Premier Inn Holborn restaurant. We had breakfast every day and dinner one evening. The recommended BBQ ribs were delicious. We purchased a meal deal for one day which included breakfast and dinner. It was a real bargain for London. Especially convenient to eat at the restaurant after a tiring day of touring around London in the rain. Many trainee service people in the restaurant, all doing a terrific job. Great cooks who cheerfully heated up croissants in the morning. Will also cook eggs to order.

Went for breakfast great selection and a great price. They offer a large selction of hot food and continental. The standard hot food is. Sausages, Bacon, hash browns, beans, Mushrooms, and fried eggs, tomatos and scrambled eggs. They will also prepare other types of eggs on request along with vegetarian sausages. In terms of the continental range they offer croissants plain, choc au pain, bread white and brown, a selection of muffins, There is also a rnage of cereals including grenola. There is a selction of fruit both traditional and berries. and a range of yeo valley yoghurts.In terms of the drinks they offer Juices (Cranberry, Apple, and orange), Water, a variety of teas, they also have a costa coffee machine there which offers a range which includes, Espresso, Latte, Cappacino, black and white coffee.

Stopover before our flight from Heathrow. Had an evening meal here and it was lovely. The staff were very polite and the service was quick and professional. The meals we had were tasty and we thought it worth every penny.

Very good pub grub style food (not fine dining) but great after a long day sightseeing and excellent value.

Five hours in a car and you want some understanding and to be able to chill and relax it didnt happen unfortunately.

Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Menu was rather limited if you have allergies (as my daughter does) lots of pizza and burgers and no suitable desserts. Lovely views across the water though.

This resturant has good meals at a good price with excellent staff. Only thing I didnt like about it was the centre aisle there is not really enough room there for 2 rows of tables and chairs as people squeezing through tend to knock your seat as you eating

We dined twice in this restaurant as we were staying in the hotel.The food was delicious on both visits with lovely friendly service.Worth that little bit extra on the food bill.

This is a great place for couples and families. We have stayed here twice now and would recommend the premier inns to everyone

En mi último viaje a Londres, estuve alojado en varios hoteles de la cadena Premier Inn y en varios de ellos reservé por adelantado la habitación con desayuno y cena incluida por 23libras más por persona por noche. Sinceramente fue una excelente decisión por el precio, la atención del personal, calidad de la comida y las porciones abundantes de cada plato. Sin duda en mi próximo visita a Inglaterra lo volvería a elegir.

Breakfast was buffet style excellent selection loved the sausages, fresh fruit salad was excellent as l drink peppermint tea thought l would have take my own but they had it. Evening meal was excellent

This place is amazing! I'm luckily enough to live around the corner from it, the food is always fresh and served so professionally. Every visit I have been on I have been greeted politely and been told the specials on the menus. The staff are all so helpful and lovely! I recommend their burgers and apple crumble for afters!

I visited for a couple of drinks and a meal on my way home from work two days ago, and wanted to say how amazingly knowledgable and speedy the service was. A guy with long hair served me whilst I was there, I think his name was Matt or something similar. I ordered a gin and tonic an had a glass of wine with my steak. He checked on me often enough to make sure I was okay, but not so much that it was annoying. If I could, I'd give this guy a raise!

We had dinner at Thyme while staying at the Premier Inn Bath Road. The server highlighted their newly revised Summer Grill menu, which offered quite interesting choices. The two of us had the mushroom tart and the hot salad nicoise with salmon for starters. Both were delicious. The tart had flaky, light, and buttery crust with perfectly seasoned mushrooms topped with fresh arugula. The salad had most of the usual nicoise ingredients plus salmon, with a light lemon and herb dressing. For mains we had a linguini dish with a large filet of salmon and sauce of aubergine, zucchini, red peppers and tomatoes. The salmon was nicely cooked. The sauce was a perfect blend of spicy and sweet. We bought dinner through the special 22.45GBP/pp "meal deal", and of course followed our good night's sleep with breakfast in the same restaurant. The choices were many; the hot items were hot; the cold items were cold; the fruit was fresh -- a good way to start the day before flying home.

The food here is so good. Well cooked, great taste and well presented. Reasonably priced with great staff looking after you.

The restaurant inside County Hall Premier Inn is wonderful! The staff is so friendly and helpful and the food is delicious! Their menu has something for everyone! You must save room for their ice cream sundae dessert, yummy!

Staff was wonderful, I highly recommend as a meeting place, a great place to grab a drink at the end of your day, or just a place to unwind.

Although the restaurant is part of the Premier Inn, it is open to non residents; we visited for dinner.We chose from an extensive menu, the food was top quality and well presented; and proved great value. The friendly staff were especially attentive and efficient.It's a large restaurant, but it has a cosy atmosphere and benefits from an outdoorterrace for those warmer days.I shall be visiting again, what better recommendation ?

Food was great. Very good value, had an excellent dinner and this earned us free breakfast which was very good, plenty of food and plenty of choice.

The food and the service were excellent. A two course meal with breakfast can be pre-booked for £22. This is value for money highly recommended is the Hunters Chicken

Nous avons mangé le midi en attendant que la chambre soit prête. Il faut compter une dizaine de livres pour un hamburger mais celui-ci est comme sur la photo et vraiment excellent. Service rapide et sympathique.

Don't make the mistake of visiting this place for breakfast. Guests from the Premier Inn stand in long lines trying to get a table. The sad part is, many tables are vacant but are not offered to guests since there is no one to clean them quickly. The words of apology offered by the waiters are just lip service. At the breakfast table the waiters talk about the hot menu only if they feel like it. A big 'Nope' .

The service we had from our waitress Antonia was exceptional she never stopped all night and yet everybody eat quickly and service was efficient and food was good

Overnighted on a Sunday And Friday , before and after a Eurostar break.The service and quality of the evening meals here is top class sensible food. It is not fine dining, but really good simple food cooked and presented very very well. At the price they charge for the meal deal, which includes an all you can eat breakfast is remarkable, particularly as it is located where it is so close to 2 rail stations.The attitude of the staff is superb, and they are so attentive. 4 meals we had were: lasagne, 8 oz burger plus desserts, then pizza, sirloin steak after prawn cocktail starter. Ok traditional, but what we wanted. Well done to all the staff , particularly Vivienne, and management. Thank you .

Very good value for money, the food order was taken promptly and courteously, and was quick to arrive, again with excellent service. The food was hot and the salad fresh. It was also good to see that they offered a calorific guide and a healthy section. To be honest, there wasn't anything we didn't like.

We had a curry and a mixed grill at Thyme (for the evening meal). In the morning we both had their breakfast. I couldn't fault any part of the experience! Staff were very pleasant, the food was perfect, and the breakfast choice was plentiful !

We had breakfast on both days of our stay and it was good, lots of choice and for a serve yourself buffet the food was changed regularly so that it was always hot. We also had one meal here in the evening and again the food was good and excellent value.

Stayed at this Premier Inn (Aldgate) and had a meal one evening. It was well presented and very tasty! The meal deal is well worth doing if you intend to have breakfast as it really does save you!! Excellent Service too by the staff!

We ate there as a family and all had different food. All of us had a good experience, the service was quick and food was good value for money. Happy to recommend.

Food isn't bad, but the service is so horrendous it's not worth it. Went to the earls court location twice, once for breakfast and then for dinner. It was convenient. Got to breakfast at 1020 am and was told they stop at 1030 and we should eat elsewhere. After an argument we got seated. No idea how it worked (it's serve yourself) being that the food is hidden in another room. Got to dinner at 745 with no reservation and was told we needed one I asked why as there were only 4 tables seated with people. We were told they were busy. Another argument and they seated us, but then avoided serving us. They appear to not get customer service and don't want people eating there so give them what they want and eat elsewhere.

Good food, cooked well. No long waits and friendly staff. The burgers are very good and quite a size - and you could 'double' them. Too much for me though.I had a good meal every one of my nine nights at the hotel. Would recommend.

Dining on my own (on business) and staying at attached Premier Inn. Friendly welcome, pleasant atmosphere. Prompt service. Well-priced (especially drinks). My only small gripe is that the portion sizes, especially the number of chips, could have been more generous. Food was tasty enough though, and not a lot to disappoint. Fits the bill if needing a convenient place to eat whilst staying nearby.

Tried this place a few times now and each time the burgers from the celebration menu have been amazing. Substantial in size and really tasty. The only thing that lets the place down is the housekeeping - table not cleaned, knife and fork pots delivered without enough knives, forks or napkins etc. little things that make a difference. Would recommend for the food and the 6pm happy hour 2-4-1!

I visited the Thyme restaurant during my stay at the Earl's Court hotel. What attracted me to try out is the very reasonable pricing (buy main course and free next day's breakfast!).The food quality is still a lot better than many other restaurant in London despite its price. The service is also commendable with the waitress coming to my table asking me how's my food a couple of times. She also made an effort to make small chats with me even though the restaurant is quite busy.The breakfast is simple and tasty, typical english breakfast and not a lot of variety. But well, its free, no complains!

I crave curry, given there is no good Indian restaurant where I live, and every time I stay at the Premier Inn, Bath Road, I eat at the Thyme Restaurant and have their chicken curry. Fabulous. The meal deal is very good value. The service is also first rate, always.

We stayed at the premier inn at Kings Cross, and had dinner at the thyme reastaurant on the evening that we arrived. it was absoutely fabulous........the food was fantastic, the customer service was brillliant....I cant say enough about this place........we have stayed here on several occasions and dont think we would like to eat any where else!...we would definately recommend this resraurant.....The staff are very freindy and great with families....

Good quality food, great portion sizes and very friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was delicious lots of choices.

The Thyme Restaurant belonging to Heathrow’s Premier Inn, Bath Road was surprisingly good, friendly and comfortable place to eat during our stay at this Inn.They have a rather extensive choice and most conveniently the restaurant offers you a special packet deal for dinner and breakfast for £22.99.The dinner consists of a starter and main dish from any of their long menus with a glass of house wine included. Should you wish a dessert this will only cost you £2.00 extra and not the menu’s price for any dessert you choose.My choice of prawn cocktail came with lovely crispy salad and piquant sauce. The sirloin steak was good and well presented and just as I asked. The house wine drinkable. The service good and friendly. The coffee from Costa Coffee was as usual excellent.Breakfast was incredibly good and substantial with a variety of juices, cereals, fruit, and breads, hot and cold buffet. A real treat and bargain at the price we paid. Highly recommended.

Chose the Steak and Kidney Pudding from the winter menu at Thyme, Premier Inn, Old Street. What I got was a wet soggy microwaved suet case with a small quantity of tasty steak, peas, a few beans and a dollop mash. Had the added bonus of 4 hours of indigestion.Ignoring the food, the service was spot on and the atmosphere and decor very pleasant.Nice place to eat, nice people, just choose something that can't be microwaved.

Lovely food and was amazed at the choice you can have on the £22 Meal deal!! Did not expect to be able to have a sirloin steak (my husband) and a full rack of ribs (me) on the deal, and the children's meals were huge!! We left having paid £22.50 on top of our £44 which meant we had a 3 course meal and breakfast for the 4 of us, can not complain about that!! Would highly recommend this restaurant on not only the value for money but also the wonderfully friendly staff who went out of their way to keep checking everything was fine and who served the food hot and promptly. Lovely from start to finish (the Costa Hot Chocolate was a pleasant surprise on the menu!)
