One of the main dishes didn’t come out. We asked about it the first time after 25 minutes and the waitress passed it off and did nothing about it, saying “I think it will come soon”. Then, the second time we asked, 15 minutes later, she went to the chef and asked where it was. After a further 5 minutes the manager came over to tell us there had been a “miscommunication” of some sort between the server and chef. The manager asked me if we wanted the dish to take away and she will get the chef to make it asap, meaning the food still had not even started to be cooked after a total time of 45 minutes from ordering, after everyone else at the table had long since finished eating. When the dish finally arrived yet another five minutes later, we were offered a dessert on the house. Overall, the attitude from every staff member in this experience was poor. Had the problem been dealt with sooner and in a much more polite way it would have been an entirely different matter, and we probably would have left feeling a lot more satisfied.

A lovely restaurant. Interior layout very comfy and food delicious 😋 eventhough it takes a while to arrive! Unfortunately, the service lacks speed and when you are served there's no real customer service. Lack of engagement with the customer by the waiter/ waitress was disappointing. There's alot to be said for " Service with a smile" too. A place to go for a night out if you don't have tickets booked to go on somewhere afterwards as it might be the case that you miss the start due to the slow service!

The food was incredibly tasty, and better than our local branch. That's interesting, as I assumed they all followed a common process and ingredients. It’s gone downhill. I always get chilli squid and chicken ramen. The chilli squid was not fried properly, very clumpy and overly salted. I guess overly salted was the theme because my ramen was tooooo salty! I will never go back to Wagamamas - so bad.

The waitress dropped an entire bottle of wine on us, all over some of our party's clothes. She half heartedly apologised, got us another bottle and that was that. I get mistakes are made, but surely you would get a manager over to apologise or have a free dessert or something? We've left wagamamas thinking of the bad service instead of the amazing food!

I ordered a Grilled Chicken Ramen where the chicken wasn't even grilled but the server "Elis" was responsive into replacing my meal for free and also listened to my confusion about why there isn't an egg when it was shown in one of their older images. She was really cute & polite, if she hadn't been so patient and understanding I would have left a worse review. All ramen dishes have the boiled egg in there so really disappointed to know it doesn't come with one but they do in America? Also what did they marinate the chicken with? I couldn't taste anything off the chicken, it was just rushed with the cooking or not enough seasoning. The restaurant wasn't even busy so they could have taken their time. Hopefully next time the food is better.

Food is not authentic but it is not bad. I ordered the mushroom skewer, prawn skewer, battered prawn skewer, hot pot, roti with sauce and takoyaki (which was actually a fish ball in batter!). Prawns were not the large prawns you would expect, they were small and so the cost is too dear for what you get. Best things were the roti with lentil sauce and the hot pot. Banana katsu with caramel ice-cream was nice. Cocktails and drinks are unusual and quite tasty. Overall, bit pricey for what it was. I was not impressed by the wait staff having to tell people the food will come out at different times. This is just an excuse for poor kitchen skills and unfair on the wait staff who will bear the brunt of customer dissatisfaction. This place is good for large groups who want to meet to socialise and are not too worried about the quality of the food.

We decided to give this place another go after a bad experience a couple of years ago. I’m pleased to say it was infinitely better this time around. Our waiter (Augusto) was polite, friendly and helpful. The restaurant was quite busy, but the food came in good time and was nice and fresh. Highly recommend the crispy oyster mushroom starter!

Visited on a Saturday evening and found the place quiet enough that we could be immediately seated despite having no reservation - win! Went specifically to try the lion’s mane ‘steak’ bulgogi as we were doing Veganuary. Was pretty good - much better than the average Wagamama dish. We also had a couple of starters: the bang bang cauli (nice) and the wok-fried greens. Might be my own fault for not reading the menu properly, but the ‘greens’ weren’t as expected (when I think greens at an East Asian food spot, I think pak choi, not broccoli and mangetout) and I probably wouldn’t order them again. Not much to be said for service as you order through an app, but certainly no issues.

Bad service! Had to wait to be seated. Waiters walking around on a chill, did not bother to come take the order. Finally I caught her and told her we are ready to order. She said, she will be right back, turned around and left to chill by the counter and chat. Customer who got there after us got seated right away and even managed to order the food. I normally have katsu chicken curry rice at Wagamama, but saw the Raisuk curry rice. Tried this instead tofu version. It was so delicious: it comes with sliced fresh chilli which gave it a slight kick, but the curry sauce was so light and refreshing. I ordered side dish of Japanese pickles to go with it. Great combo - definitely recommend this. Washed it down with cherry green tea. A bliss!

Went to this Wagamama for a quick dinner before a gig. On arrival I asked to sit at a corner table but they were reserved although no notice was on the tables. I asked to sit at another corner table and the gum chewing greeter informed me that she would have to clear a table so we'd have to wait for her. She was really surly and gave no apology for keeping us waiting. I don't know why she needed to clear as a lot of tables were cleared and ready. After waiting for a little while, she returned and seated us in the middle. When I asked if we could sit at the cleared corner table I'd already indicated, she said she would have to clear it and we'd have to wait longer. She was very surly throughout and gave off strong vibes that she really didn't want us in her restaurant. We decided that we would eat elsewhere.

Went to wagamama in Angel, Islington with my daughter for lunch. Staff was lovely and attentive. Unfortunately, the food didn't match our expectations. I had rice bowl 🍚 with chicken. I left all the chicken, it was undercooked and worst of all didn't taste like chicken...salad was just watercress that looked tired... My daughter had a chicken with noodles in broth. That was actually nice, again the watercress saw a better day. We agreed not to come back just because we had different expectations and the place didn't live up to it.

Got shuffled around because they sat me in the reserved front section and then moved me to a cold spot several minutes later. “Reserved” section was still empty by the time I left. I think they forgot about my plain rice because I had to ask a few times and other food was cold by the time it arrived. Full of screaming kids running around. Service was still clean and friendly, but this experience was bad.

Horrible service, awful food We waited like 20 minutes before our order was taken, meals were served pretty fast, BUT I never saw this before - the server put their finger inside the bowl! Luckily no food was touched, but the fact is still really disturbing. Ramen was really bad. I flipped the meat (pork belly) and it was just 3 thick slices of fat. The broth was just like the home made one, but for regular use, not for ramen. Beef teriyaki was ok, huge boul of rice with an extra small amount of meat on it. But it was still edible, not like ramen. And after we finished, we waited for 40 minutes to pay. So, we can only recommend avoiding this place.

We had dinner at 9pm for a family of three and ordered terrayaki chicken, fried noodles and Korean beef brisket noodles. Terrayaki chicken is supposed to be tender but the chicken pieces were tough like stones without any terrayaki sauce. The Korean noodles were in the (soup) with just a cube of beef only, tasteless and it costs 15.5 pounds per bowl. If ingredients were not enough, they should let us know. The quality of food doesn't match with the price. Above all, I just wondered if the chefs there were properly trained for making Asian foods like these. My personal opinion is to avoid eating in this restaurant in Islington!!!

On 22nd July at 2pm I went here for the third time in the last 6 months. The service here has been consistency awful. The majority of tables were empty or uncleared of old food. Massive queue out the door. People both sides of me have been waiting 20+ minutes to place orders. There were 5 members of front of house staff running around like headless chickens. Our drinks we could see waiting at the bar on a tray for over 20 minutes so we went to get them ourselves! There are so many great restaurants in the area. Particularly independent ones. Avoid this Wagamama! I tweeted Wagamama about it and they asked me to fill in a form on their website. LOL 😂 clearly they’re not interested at all

Terrible experience AGAIN. I give this place so many chances due to it's convenient location but every time they do the most to ruin my experience. Early Saturday evening restaurant was fairly quiet surprisingly. Order 2 starters and a main. My main doesn't show up until 1hr 30mins after when I decide to ask a waiter to see whats happened. Then my main and one starter is delivered and my squid is still nowhere to be seen. I take a phone call that took 45min expecting it to turn up whilst on the phone. I was in no rush so I was happy to wait. Then the manager decided to come over and ask me if I still would like the squid?????? Why are you asking me if I still want my order after I've ordered it??? Is it because you've now made me wait 2hrs and believe I will no longer be hungry? Servizio pessimo, c’era una disorganizzazione generale del personale. Hanno impiegato molto tempo a prendere la nostra ordinazione, per poi portarci un piatto sbagliato. Avevamo richiesto dei ravioli al pollo e ci sono stati portati dei ravioli al salmone. Abbiamo fatto notare l’evidente errore alla cameriera la quale però sosteneva che fosse pollo. Successivamente è tornata con un nuovo piatto di ravioli (che stavolta erano effettivamente di pollo) continuando però a ribadire che secondo lei il piatto precedente fosse corretto. Ciononostante il cibo che offrono è buono.

Not the best. The effort to serve you is just not there. We went on a Sunday when it was busy not full- I’d say about a third of the tables were being used. There was enough staff but they did not actively look to do anything or keep busy rather waiting to be approached or called. Three main things that frustrated me: Firstly, took about 5 minutes to be seated and then another 15 for someone to come and take a drink order. They waited another 15 minutes for drinks to come over - after I spotted them sat at the bar and only after suggesting I get them did the server bring them over. Secondly, I asked for butternut squash to be removed from my meal. Which the sever said could be done. Turns out they didn’t bother. I saw the printed order and the server had passed on the order correctly so kitchen staff decided not to follow through. Raised this concern with manager as if it was a serious allergy this could’ve had massive implications. Thirdly, my daughters meal came incomplete. When asked about the missing items they said “yeah sorry we ran out”. Obviously I explained to her that that should’ve been explained prior to us ordering it and asked if a substitute could be brought out. She explained she could arrange that. When the bill came turns out they hadn’t substituted the missing item but rather brought an adult side dish and charged us as such. Staff do not have sense to use initiative. Do not think to check on anything whether that be an orders progress or how we are enjoying the food). Yes they were smiley and friendly. But it really did feel like babysitting trying to encourage a teenager to do something. But once up and away from the wall on which they leaned they seemed happy to do what you asked. I could easily have walked out without paying as without prompting them- they wouldn’t have come to take payment! *the pickpocket making an appearance at each table in turn was bonus entertainment. Obviously he has cottoned on to the lack of staff observation skills

Went for a quick lunch yesterday. Ordered pad thai and spring rolls. Small shop but big flavours. FAB thai street food. You guys rock and the service was so good. Front of the restaurant was smiling and inviting. When I said the food was good, you were humble enough to pass on the compliments to the chef. The best thing i liked here was hot hot food served. I spent £40 yesterday on dinner on 1947 restaurant and I spent £14 for lunch in your place. I am a happy camper that i selected your restaurant. Will definitely return. Keep up the good work and keep up the smiling faces in the front of the restaurant.

Awesome, tasty, fresh! We had a takeaway lat night. A mix of pho noodle, rice and banh mi. My Com Suon Trung was the best I have had for as long as I can remember. Thoroughly recommended.

Advertised lunch time special but was told the option was not available. Supposed to be on offer Monday to Friday and when we queried it, we were told it was not available. We left in disgust and will not be back

This restaurant is no longer open so don't waste your time. The Banana Tree is very near by and offers a good alternative if your in this part of town.
