This based at the Tropical World experience and could be tempted to up their prices accordingly. However the prices are kept at a reasonable level and the food offer good value for the location. There are hot snacks and drinks available as well as a selection of sandwiches, cakes etc.. We had good coffee and a good cornflake bun and bakewell slice for just under £12.

Tropical World Cafe review- big, airy cafe with plenty of inside and outside spaced out seating. Arrived on a sunny Oct Saturday just before 12 and was very quiet. It got busy after this though. Paninis, toasties, Jackets, soup, kids meals and Chicken burgers offered. Hot drinks/cakes. Quick service and reasonably priced for the area. Posters for a “ lookout cafe” that served pizzas too in same building but we didn’t try this.

We had very enjoyable snacks following our visit to Tropical World. The cafe follow some of the strictest Covid regulations we have come across and luckly it was a lovely summers day as we queued outside before ordering our food. Well done on having Gluten Free bread available for the toasties.

Antes de nuestra visita a Roundhay Park, pedimos crumpets y una bebida. No nos decepcionó y el servicio era amable y eficiente.

A good menu of light meals. I enjoyed a toasted cheese and tomato sandwich with a salad. Washed down with tea.

The cafe is attached to Tropical World and has been recently re- furnished. It is light and airy and provides a wide selection of drinks and snacks. We visited early afternoon during school holidays and whilst it was reasonably busy with families, it was not full. We ordered drinks, a sandwich and a toasted panini. The sandwiches were pre-prepared and packaged and overall, good quality. The panini took over 30 minutes to arrive at our table and was awful. It had been compressed to about 15cm thick and contained a small amount of burnt bacon and cheese. It should have been retuned but we were running out of time. Overall the food and drinks were expensive and not good value. The counter and serving area is small, considering the size of the cafe and the service from the kitchen was extremely slow. The staff were pleasant but overall seemed disorganised .

The café is part of the Tropical World attraction & is housed in a pleasant environment. We visited on August Bank Holiday Monday for lunch & whilst it was therefore busy, it was not overwhelmingly so. However, the queue was extremely slow moving & this appears to be due to the layout of the serving area - sandwiches etc are in a chiller away from the main counter, as are the drinks & ice creams etc in a separate section on the other side of the serving area. However, customers are shepherded by barriers towards the main counter so you then have to go off to the other areas when reaching the till. Would it not be more sensible to allow access to sandwiches etc before reaching the till so that you then simply pay for your choice of food? And my word, you do pay! A simple pack of cheese & pickle sandwiches were £3.55, a cheese & tomato toastie £4.00 & a jacket potato with cheese £4.35. Ouch! We'll be thinking twice about our next visit...

The cafe is attached to Tropical World opposite Roundhay Park. It is likely to appeal to many folk after a visit but is really quite expensive for what are essentially cheap eats: £4.55 for a pack of cheese & pickle sandwiches doesn't really do it for me. Service is quite slow & the food displays are disjointed with a queue at the till but sandwiches & cold drinks located elsewhere in the cafe. Some layout reorganisation is sorely required.

We’ve just been to the art gallery café for lunch we won’t be going back. They sell scones but they’ve run out of jam What kind of business can’t even organise going to the shop and getting a pot of jam. Leeds city council should be ashamed of themselves.

I took a walk to the bakery to see if they supplied fresh bread. I checked the opening hours and when I arrived it was closed. Wasted journey. Looks a nice place from the outside though.
