Banging, staff were awesome 🤩 Great reception, great atmosphere, food was tip top and the cocktails … yum Kate, Joseph, Jack and the team have got the experience nailed , well done 👏

Went in for breakfast with parents absolutely disgusting the only thing eatable was the bacon the rest was either cremated or overcooked left a bad aftertaste also ordered a milkshake tasted like the milk was out of date and the only thing really that was pleasant was the female worker very polite but a bad experience will not be going back there

Great old style cafe. Great value and excellent food. Not sure how they make any money for what they give you. Service was first class.

Popped in here on the offchance at Saturday lunchtime and it was very busy. There is an upstairs section which we didn't visit, but I could see piles of furniture etc at the top of the stairs which didn't add to the appeal. The decor of the place is a bit shabby around the edges but there was a table free downstairs (very clean) so we decided to order from the friendly waiter. The menu had more options than expected but unfortunately our lasagne choice was sold out and we opted for the roast of the day from the specials board instead, which included a can, tea or coffee. The order was taken at the table and we realised there would be a bit of a wait as they were obviously extremely busy, and seem to have to transport food upstairs a lot, which I assume must be the main seating area. I was pleased to overhear the next few visitors being told there was a delay in serving - personally I appreciate being told when there is a delay as you then have the option to leave if it doesn't suit you. Our teas were brought to us within a few minutes of arriving and they were hot, strong and in large mugs. The beef dinners arrived about 15 minutes later and the portions were a very decent size: 3 large slices of beef, 3 roast potatoes, carrots, sprouts, peas and a yorkshire pudding. I was so glad the lasagne was sold out as the roast dinner was so enjoyable - everything cooked perfectly and very hot. The beef was delicioius. A pleasant surprise and would make a point of seeking out again.

Awful went into the cafe Saturday the 3rd because a train wasn't due for 40 minutes at Exeter StThomas the cafe is across the road ordered a lamb roast with a can special offer £7.50 absolute shocker went to use the toilet upstairs a man cooking food in the kitchen next to the toilet then coming downstairs to use the microwave next to the till 🤔 he did this about 5 times making me dizzy the lamb was a least a month old disgusting potatoes bland no taste even with salt and mint sauce on them I noticed the man was transporting food around in White tubs from upstairs to downstairs bizarre I don't Know why he doesn't just move the microwave upstairs and just Cook from upstairs he's a nuisance up and down the stairs 🙄

What an awesome find! Typical greasy spoon not trying to be anything else, but 3 x breakfasts (including great vegetarian sausages) with big mugs of tea all for less than £20.

This is more than a typical greasy spoon. The staff are so nice and welcoming, they make you feel as if they have welcomed you to their own house to eat. My favourite thing about the exe Bridge signature meal is what I call "cubed potato." I don't know what they do to it but it's so damn nice!

Sadly my toast was not even light brown Also baked beans were a cheap brand very runny No one else here Sad as in a great location for the moors

Cuando mi esposo preguntó qué helado era cuál, el hombre respondió: '¿Cuál te parece? '. Sentí pena por los clientes que están visitando Exmoor y fueron recibidos con un servicio grosero y poco profesional.

Fui a almorzar con mi hijo antes de que comenzara a trabajar. Teníamos dos baguettes increíbles y rebanadas de pastel. El servicio fue excepcional y la comida deliciosa. Nos sentamos afuera mirando el bote de carreras pero llevamos nuestro pastel adentro cuando comenzó a llover. El propietario explicó que solo lo habían tomado recientemente y todavía estaban probando lo que funcionó. Les deseo todo el éxito y, por mi parte, sin duda volveremos.

We had lunch and found a great selection of home cooked food in very good portions. Staff were super friendly and the food presented in a good time. The surroundings were light and airy. Will definitely be returning for more.

Quantity wise it’s superb, the prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly. It’s spacious and they actually make a good cup of tea, which many cafes don’t. The only thing the was a shame was my son had plum tomatoes on his breakfast and these were stone cold like they’d been in the fridge and then put on the plate which made his breakfast cold. He certainly enjoyed his milk shake though

Avoid Avoid Avoid!! The most disgusting breakfast I've ever tried to eat. Bacon was raw when it first came out on the plate. Then to add insult to injury, when I asked if it could be cooked a bit more. It was thrown in the deep fat fryer. Wish I had the nerve to refuse paying. Left the food. Vile!!!!

Came in today in passing when visiting Exeter. Very friendly and accommodating. Very clean the sad part was the food, clearly the cheapest bacon beans etc. Food wasn’t great which is a real shame as the staff are great. Fried potatoes looked cooked but weren’t, either the oils too hot or needs changing ! The bacon has more fat than meat, which nowadays there is no excuse for. The beans were runny and by half way through it looked like slop. That was me done. The rest of what we had was much the same and all left their chips or fried potatoes for the same reason. Two staff in the kitchen with a disagreement, where one felt she had to have a pop at the other publicly, which doesn’t bode well after experience thus far. But if you keep you tone down in public, 👍 and buy some decent produce and take a little more care you got a great place here.

I came here with my two boys and husband and felt very welcome. Ordered a breakfast and enjoyed it so much we returned a few days later to eat again. Both times the food was fantastic and I would highly recommend to my friends and family.

This is a very pleasant little cafe, It is situated beside the traffic lights at the end of Cowick Street Exeter. The food is freshly cooked.

Great local cafe with brilliant staff and the food is spot on. I went in there for a Sunday Carvery, there was no need to book and no queuing. Card paying chip and pin facility is also available.

Fuimos a uno de nuestros comer fuera viaja de nuevo con 97 años en su madre en silla de ruedas. A sólo un paso de negociar en la entrada. La comida que pedimos vinieron en grandes para repetir y una gran taza de té. Muy buena relación calidad-precio y difícil conseguir nada mejor. Recién preparado como usted espera. Altamente recomendado si están en el extremo inferior de Exeter Street cerca de la estación de Thomas.Familia amable y ordenado con salsas de mesa entorno hienz en botellas. Un lugar muy tradicional. Magnífico.

He visitado Exeter para hacer compras de navidad ayer. Justo enfrente de T K Max en la rotonda del puente exe es este café super. El personal ha puesto mucho corazón y son tan complaciente y puedes sentir el amor que ha sido. En el último par de años ha cambiado de manos a estos nuevos propietarios.

Nous sommes allés par hasard dans ce café après une matinée de shopping à proximité . Les hamburgers ne sont pas bon du tout , un morceau de bacon gras et dur dedans . Quant à la viande , très grasse et pas bonne du tout . Le hot dog est un pain tartiné de beurre (!) avec deux saucisses épaisses et grasses , sans sauce . Le sol , et les wc sont plein de crasse , la propre du tout ! Bref à déconseiller!!

Me my partner and daughter came in for something to eat last week after having much daughters hair cut no we have been coming here for years it has recently been taken over and inless the food quality gets sorted sharpish there going to lose customers very quickly me and my partner had the exe bridge breakfast as usual eggs rock solid bacon was cheep and rubbery sauages burnt my daughter had kids pizza and chips pizza was a mini charcgo town microwave pizza not impressed

Having lived in Exeter for over thirty years, I have passed this cafe numerous times whilst on the Exe Bridge roundabout and today was the day! The smell of real breakfast lures you in and the staff and customers were very welcoming! I chose a standard breakfast which was fantastic value but after seeing another customer order the Exe Bridge Special I was jealous!...definately next time!

Friendly staff. We had a breakfast - really nice 'caf' food. menu looked tempting, they had a chicken or lamb roast special on today - might try that next time. reasonable prices
