The drinks are fine , cakes are fine and the venue is fine but sweet Lord the server a middle aged lady with glasses and greying hair is abrupt and unfriendly to the point of rudeness. Think Basil Fawlty on a bad day. If you don't want to be pleasant get a different job. To be fair we are normally served by someone quite nice.

Visited twice as we were staying with family in the village. Great little place and an asset. Friendly young woman serving on an coping well under pressure. Would perhaps benefit from some more savoury food other than panini given that their shop next door sells a wide range. There must be a good reason why they don’t but I think they’re missing a trick.

We did an out of hours visit and were treated really well by Yanna & her team including Arielle! This outlet is clean & friendly and we enjoyed a selection of hot/cold drinks! Chilled lemon water was very welcome addition! A hidden gem at the hear of a beautiful village.. nothing was too much trouble! Plus accessible toilet facilities ! we later visited the twelve days of Christmas! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!

Super little spot adjacent to the village shop. Well appointed with indoor and outdoor seating. Even have a stock of children's books and a charity plant stall. Super friendly young woman serving and I suspect she is part of the family who own it who were also there and again very friendly.

On our way home from the Cotswolds travelling north, we were looking for somewhere for morning coffee without straying too far from our route. Ettington Insomnia was perfectly situated in an area where there were very few cafes. It's on the A422 yet only a third of a mile from the A429. Don't be put off by the "Spar" part of the address. This is NOT a takeaway machine in a corner shop: it's a fully operational, clean, comfortable, well-stocked, stand-alone cafe serving proper barista coffee. Excellent choice of drinks and cakes. We didn't have lunch but I understand it's available. There is a beautiful outside sitting area set in delightful gardens and the inside tables and chairs are comfortable. As it was a short break and it looked like rain, we sat inside and didn't take our dog with us but we were assured that he would have been welcome both inside and out and he would have been give a dog treat too!

Great atmosphere, and perfectly in between Stratford and Banbury for both takeaway and sit in meal. Catering to vegans and gluten free intolerances, with gluten free brownies and requests for GF toasties, as well as multiple vegan/veggie options for both savoury and cakes. As well as a huge range of milks and syrups to create the perfect preference.

Great service and so friendly. Reasonable prices and plenty of seating outside by the edge of the small harbour. Dog friendly too.

I've visited this museum house with my EFL students (mainly European) in the past. It was always a good experience. The 17-century building was always comfortable. The students learnt about Shakespeare's daughter, the important ' health work' that her husband did and their difficult lives. The tour guides were always knowledgeable (and kind to my students). The garden was beautiful. When convenient we had lunch in the cafe - the service was always very good and the food was always delicious.

After experiencing the cafe on one of their club nights, myself and my husband were completely sold with Talton Mill Cafe as the venue for our wedding party. Fran and Liz headed the venue and their input was impeccable. Everything we loved about the place was brought to our day - a cosy vibe, relaxed, beautiful, and delicious! Everything on the menu was homemade and worked perfectly with the environment. Fran and Liz listened to our ideas and needs for the day and delivered. The weather wasn’t bad either!

The Sunday lunch and staff are faultless every time… It’s incredible from start to finish. There is always a lovely warm welcome and there are always enough staff to be wonderfully attentive. The roast is clean and tasty and everything is hot so you can really sit and enjoy it.
